This beach is beautiful and very well maintained. It is open to non residents but can be pricey. They have clean facilities and I highly recommend this slice of heaven.

Clean park and beach. I expected dark murky lake water, and it was clean. Parking is $15 per hour and $10 per person to enter the beach... not sure if it’s worth the money. The homeowners in the area probably trying to keep people out.

It was my first time going to this beach. I loved that there were nice facilities there and an outdoor shower to rinse off.

The renovations are unbelievable and the beach is a great place the kids and family. The parking regulations are fairly strict, so be aware prior to your visit. There are a few areas to enjoy the lake, without actually going into the wide open lake, something similar to tide pools.

BEAUTIFUL, FANTASTIC A hidden gem of the great lake Michigan. Can't say enough of the beauty and privacy it carries. Absolutely wonderful time to being the family. Hope you're courteous of the beach, treat it with respect, and keep it in its shape. Like many have done before you.

Beautiful place. But when crazy guards show up, they annoy me. Parking is expensive. The beach is paid. The guards are shouting "you can't hit the stones." I only come here because of these rocks and water. In short, I do not recommend. Come here when the beach season is over. There is not anyone. Peace and quiet.

Limited parking. To beach you need to go down from hill not good for stollers. Beach is ok but not good for water games lot of small rocks.

A pretty park with lots of shoreline, unfortunately it was closed to swimming due to a storm and concerns of bacteria in the water (signs were put up to that effect). Arbitrary enforcement of the rules by park employee (yells to stay off the rock jetties yet doesn't say anything to parents who's kids are playing in the water after being closed to swimming). Probably a lot of fun on a sunny day, and being from Florida it's nice to know there are no alligators to worry about while swimming.🐊

wow and wow! I'm so impressed with Rosewood Beach! As someone moving from Evanston to Highland Park, I was sad to leave the great beaches of Evanston. Boy was I pleasantly surprised!!

We really enjoyed this beach. Cute little coves to shield from currents. Clean and good facilities. Only 4 stars because parking is very limited and pretty expensive. $15 an hour plus $10 per person. Was worth it for us to have a closer beach experience than driving into the city or up north.

The beach is very clean and kids/ family friendly. The parking lot at Rosewood Ave is for Highland Park Residents only, others must park at the end of Roger Williams Ave. The lots are limited and pay per hour ($15) or 4 hrs ($40). During peak hours, you will have to park at the paid lot at elementary school and walk. Also there is a fee ($10) per person to enter into the beach, you can buy there onsite and Kids under 3 are free. Overall Good but costly for a casual visit.

Love taking my son to this place! He's horrified of the water but they have a playground for children, and it's covered for shade! This is a really nice, well-kept beach, and for residents of the area, it's only 30 dollars for parking (for the whole season) and the beach access is free!

If you're not a resident, be prepared to pay (a lot) for parking! Beautiful and well maintained park and beach. Shaded play structures were a hit with my 3 and 5 year olds. Plenty of room to spread out on the beach or at one of the picnic tables by the tree line.

We had a wonderful experience at this beach when we visited. It was incredibly serene and peaceful, allowing us to enjoy a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised by the immaculate condition of the public restroom, a rare find at many beaches. Moreover, the kids' playing area and showers were well-maintained, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. There were lifeguards on duty gaving us an added sense of security and allowing us to relax and have fun. While there was a parking fee of $15 per hour and a $10 per person charge to access the beach, I feel it was worth the money. This beach surpassed all my expectations. I recommend this beach to anyone seeking a peaceful retreat and a memorable time with their family.

Had a great time! Went as a guest with friends who live in the area. Lifeguards on duty, place to wash sand off, and all gender restrooms. Would definitely recommend water shoes as the beach is mostly pebbles and rough on the feet. After we settled on a spot we noticed things in the sand left behind by other by other patrons, a popped balloon, apple core, and band-aid. More trash and recycling bins around the beach area would be nice. It would also be nice if the all gender restrooms had changing tables.

What a wonderful area. A great place for kids to run and play. Or just a nice place to relax.

It's a great facility. But the beach itself is rather small area. Sand is really small stones. But it was not crowded and we could enjoy the sunny day.
