    We will DEFINITELY NOT return to this hotel. We came as a family for families, including one infant and three toddlers, they checked us in 2 1/2 hours after check-in (5:30pm) they kept asking us to upgrade to a better room for an extra $525 a night. It took them five days and about 10 calls to restock our mini fridge in the room. And it took them two days and 5 call to bring us an ironing board.

    Amazing trip, Amazing resort! I highly recommend this resort. The Steakhouse and Japanese were the best restaurants. The buffet was delicious with lots to choose from. Make sure you sit on Carlos and Luis side if you want to be treated like family. We will for sure go back to this resort in the near future.

    Pros: the property is really beautiful, good location, well maintained gardens, nice pools, rooms are fine and everything in good working condition. Services are great, from reception to daily needs like clean towels at the pool, etc. One of the key elements in this hotel is the people working there, very friendly, attentive and helpful. Our concierge Fernando was brilliant. Average: before the travel I’ve heard food wasn’t “the thing” in Punta Cana, which has been confirmed in our personal view. However, the hotel had plenty of options and reasonably well prepared food. It’s just not the main reason you would go to Punta Cana. The place, the people and the nature around will likely make it worth going.

    I haven't been to many resorts, so I don't claim to be an expert on this. Having said that, I really like this place and am looking forward to going back. The food is excellent, with a lot of variety. The buffet changes every night, and the a la carte restaurants are delicious. The grounds are amazing, especially if you are into plants and like wildlife. The rooms are spacious and clean. The only thing is that if you need something in your room, you might need to ask more than once. But they take frequent surveys asking how they can get better, so I'm sure they will fix this issue soon enough.

    What an incredible resort! After coming to Punta Cana for the last 8 years and doing additional research on resorts in the Punta Cana, one of the reasons we chose Iberostar was its focus on sustainability. From their elimination of single-use plastics to their desire to have zero waste by 2025 and carbon-neutral by 2030, I was very impressed with their passion and commitment, especially since I have seen it at so few of the other resorts in Punta Cana that I have visited. My visit to Iberostar did not disappoint. Everything I read about on the website seemed to be put into action at this property. Their motto is "Wave of Change" and they really seem to be trying to lead by example in Punta Cana. An interesting side note - I chose to visit the coral nursery (located near the beach) and read about their efforts to grow and establish coral reefs (part of the reason for the white sand beaches). While there, another guest brought in a distressed baby turtle that they had found. The staff member literally performed some type of CPR type compressions on the little guy and revived him! it was so cool. Beyond this, the resort is beautiful and the food was incredible. I was very impressed by the quality of the selection at the main buffet. From pizza to seafood to even traditional Dominican items, everything was delicious. The staff was very gracious, especially around the pool bars and in the restaurant. Finally, I was really impressed with the hotel staff. Andrew, the asst general manager, was always walking around the resort talking to guests and staff (in the lobby, in the restaurants, and around the pools). He made a point of greeting me personally as well and wanted to make sure we were having a great experience. His professionalism and warmth was impressive and that passion and warmth seemed to rub off on the rest of the staff too. I'll be back!

    Our stay was excellent!! Everything was kept extremely clean and the food was delicious and with great variety. We always felt safe and welcome among the staff. We came as a large family with many ages, and there was stuff to do for everyone! Very convenient location and beautiful property. The beach is wide and clean with lots of seating available under cabanas. Nightly entertainment was enjoyable and engaging. There was a Catholic Mass at the hotel on Sunday at 4pm which we very much appreciated! Highly recommend this hotel if you’re coming to Bavaro beach :)

    Love the whole concept of the hotel! The location is perfect, they have a beautiful beach with breathtaking views, taking care everything to be clean and perfect. The reception staff is friendly and always ready to help. Probably they need to give a little more information on arrival but in general nothing much to complain. I'm impressed by the staff in the main restaurant. Since it's a buffet, I didn't expect much from the service but they're just perfect- always taking care of the guests, remembering your favorite drink, your favorite table and all the personal preference you might have!!! Respect! The food was brilliant- every day there was something to please even the most picky guests! I'm impressed by the choice of seasonal local fishes and how they pay attention and respect the nature! They'll not serve you lobster if it's the season of reproduction, but they'll offer a huge and perfectly prepared fish! I loved the little information they give for the health benefits of some of their products (fruits,veggies, fish) We tried their Tepaniaki restaurant- interesting and delicious. The suit was spacious, clean and comfortable with everything needed. The most impressive for me was their "Wave of change" concept! Minimum plastic use in the hotel, water stations on many places, rescuing the nature with everything possible, even having a coral laboratory!!! Congratulations to the whole team!!! We'll be definitely back 🙏😊🌴🌞

    I’ve stayed at this hotel chain several times in the past 4 years, and the service and quality of food keeps on getting better and better. I feel super safe and secured as i make my way around the resorts. A special shout out to Rainer from the Star Prestige Lounge by the beach. He knows exactly how to make us feel welcomed each time we come here. Love their environmental friendly approach and how they apply it to their operations. Looking forward to coming back!

    We have had a wonderful vacation! The staff has been very friendly and accompanying to make it a great experience. A special shout out to Analise for helping us out all week in the buffet, Adrian bringing us drinks all week at the pool, plus Cocoa and staff resepcion Fatima for checking in on us and making sure we are doing great and having a wonderful time. Definitely would recommend to anyone!

    We are having the best experience on our vacation. The staff has been absolutely amazing. We have appreciated Analises help in the buffet. We have a party of 15 and she always takes great care of us and makes sure we can all sit together. Adrian has taken great care of us at the pool with a flow of drinks. Cocoa has made sure that our trip has been great and checks in with our family daily. The reception Fatima also comes around to make sure that we are enjoying our stay. We truly are having a great experience!

    We stayed from 7/10/22 to 7/17/22 and everything was absolutely amazing! The villas were clean and spacious. The landscaping is beautiful, and the service is top class. Chocolate and the entertainment crew made sure there was never a dull moment! Food services were also great!

    Now look…There’s a lot of resorts that have good food. But the service at this place… oh my goodness! the steakhouse was the best. The people were the nicest, they organized a beautiful birthday celebration for my mother, they took care of every single detail, I can’t thank them enough. From their smiles to how they took care of us, I cannot wait to come back!

    We are enjoying this wonderful location and property! The rooms are large, clean and spacious. We appreciate the kind, warm, personable staff and front desk assistance. We even have enjoyed the help of every single staff member we have asked for assistance. We also recommend the show- Michael Jackson was fantastic! We loved the kabuki Japanese restaurant last night. If you love sushi enjoy!

    This was not at all what i expected. Upon arrival our rooms weren't ready and it took a little over 2 hours for our entire party to get checked in. Once we got to the room, it was nice, but the air was not working properly. Even with ceiling fan on the temperature in the room was just enough to keep us from sweating. We noticed little black bugs in the room, and literally had to call room service 3 times, no one ever came! Luckily, someone we were traveling with had insect spray and we were able to spray the room, someone finally came when we were out to dinner but they didnt change the sheets after we sprayed. We had to walk back to the front desk to alert them of the situation and wait for housekeeping to come change the linens. The food was mediocre at best, we stayed for 5 days and only one day of food was GREAT. We had reservations at a Mexican restaurant(TACO BELL is better), I'm convinced that was left over food from lunch, because the food was cold and unseasoned. We wound up ordering room service, which was delicious. We were finally given vouchers for all of the restaurants on the resort the night before we left, knowing good and well we wouldn't be able to use them, as well as a free 30 minute massage at the spa that we had to rush and use before we left for the airport.Outside of that the staff was absolutely amazing and very friendly. The property was beautiful, but the fact that there wasn't a sense of urgency for our troubles made our stay unpleasant.

    Great resort, friendly staff & excellent food. Only negatives were the upselling attempts (though we did get a gift in return for our time), for the price average room with dated decor and damaged furniture and sometimes confusing restaurant booking system via the butler. Otherwise if you are coming for a honeymoon I would highly recommend this resort.

    This is my fourth time coming here with my family. The location is absolutely beautiful and the rooms are spotless. There's a variety of food and the waiters and waitresses are very attentive. Our favorite part about this location is the entertainment. The entertainment staff are friendly, funny and energetic. The poolside games hosted by TripleX are always a blast and family friendly. Do not hesitate to book your vacation here. You won't regret it.

    Ernesto @ the front desk and Ernesto @ the poolbar made our 7-day stay at Iberostar Selection an unforgettable one!! They were very attentive, friendly, and provided superior customer service. Making dinner reservations for the specialty restaurants was a bit of a challenge, but hopefully it's something the resort management team will work on in the near future to help accommodate all guests and plan better when at full capacity. Overall, our stay was a great one. The resort offers lots of amenities and activities to enjoy throughout the day. The gym is also topnotch.

    Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a stay. This web site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have prices much cheaper compared to others! Thank me later! This hotel is one of the most well known in this area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you will love it I'm sure! Amazing trip, Amazing resort! I highly recommend this resort. The Steakhouse and Japanese were the best restaurants. The buffet was delicious with lots to choose from.     Excellent service all around ! Courteous, attending staff throughout.. entertainment team is awesome always coming up with fun stuff. Loved the impromptu , for us, afternoon games. Rosa is the star of the team, without her or will no be the same.. Will definitely come back and will highly recommend to all!! We will be back soon! How about “frequent guest” program? :)

    The hotel is wonderful. The service is great. The food is so good and fresh. The room is clean every day. The staff helps for everything and treats you like royalty. I will miss everything especially the food and service but I will be back soon. I am going to learn more Spanish, but it is not necessary. The check in was very easy and quick.

    Beautiful, well maintained resort and beach! Plenty of food options to choose from, and we enjoyed each restaurant we went to. Drinks were all made well. Plenty of activities to do during the day. There is a bit of a language barrier if you don’t speak Spanish but overall the staff was very friendly and attentive to our needs. There were a few staff members that made our trip extra special.. Lady in the Star Prestige Lounge who checked us in was fantastic and made us feel welcomed right away. We had to ask her a few questions during our stay and she was always very helpful. Rainer from the Star Prestige Lounge on the beach took great care of us and made us feel very welcomed. He even knew our drink orders by the end of the week! Lastly, Manuel who works at the restaurants was amazing! He always said hello to us-even if we weren’t at his restaurant and it felt like seeing an old friend. He made us feel right at home and always had the biggest smile. It was our first trip to this resort and it definitely won’t be our last!

    This place is amazing. While it may be a little dated, it is clean and the service is exceptional. The food was delicious and had lots of variety. There was never a shortage of amenities like pool chairs or towels. The entertainment team were incredible. Pablo and his team kept us entertained and engaged the entire trip. They became our familia! The employees all work so hard and mange to keep a smile and energy all day long. We will definitely be returning.

    I had one of the best vacations coming here from the food the people the workers they have all made it one of the most memorable experiences I have had. The star friends had continued to make us laugh and feel at home even in a different country. Baby kiss and Rosa for sure had made a difference in my time here this time compared to last!

    POORLY WORST RESORT! I had the pleasure of visiting this resort under the previous administration and had a truly delightful experience back in 2019. However, in the year 2023, when my family and I decided to choose this resort for a momentous occasion - the celebration of four 50th birthdays - it turned out to be an utterly disastrous decision. We deeply regret ever setting foot in this establishment. With a group of 30 people eagerly anticipating this family trip, our excitement quickly turned to disappointment as we encountered one disappointment after another. From the moment we arrived, we were not offered any drinks or given a warm welcome. The resort failed to accommodate our requests for restaurant reservations, leaving us scrambling for dining options. To make matters worse, the quality of the food provided was abysmal. food were served undercooked, and the overall taste of the meals was nothing short of repulsive. Additionally, every single room in the resort suffered from leakages, and the air conditioning units were inoperable. The entire resort appeared dilapidated, with outdated structures scattered throughout and a complete lack of maintenance. It is evident that the resort is severely neglected and not properly cared for. Also, the refrigerators in the rooms were non-functional, adding to our frustration and inconvenience. To add more, I had requested to have dinner at the beach and I was only provided a closed menu which my family and I ended up scrambling for dining options. I had to go outside of the resort to buy insect repellent spray, my mother was bitten in the room by some insect. READ: I implore you to carefully consider your options before selecting this hotel for your vacation. Our experience at this resort was nothing short of a nightmare, and I would strongly advise against subjecting yourself to such a disappointing and poorly managed establishment.

    This is extremely kid friendly resort!We love it so much! We loved everything :food, kids show/adults show, kids club and aqua park. Service was great. Special thanks to Marissa and Domingo, they always welcomed us with smile and made my daughters birthday special. I didn’t catch kids club staff names , but they were extremely nice and made our kids happy at the evening show. Beach and pool beds are great, and there is always availability. We definitely will be back.

    The resort grounds were beautiful and well maintained. You cannot beat the pristine beaches and turquoise waters. Our family had fun during our stay. We would’ve liked to have been able to make reservations for dinners, which were already fully booked upon arrival.

    We pick up day passes for our 3 teenagers and us. Fantastic place to spend a day. We checked in at 8, spent an hour at the gym, ate breakfast at the buffet then hit the pool. Good music and plenty of seating. Enjoyed lunch, tons of drinks, ice cream and coffee and then wrapped it up with dinner. We went back and forth from the pool to the beach. The day flew by fast!

    This resort is beautiful! The staff is so welcoming, so helpful. The resort is clean, kept up. The food is SO good, there’s food indoors and outdoors. Anna at the ice cream is great, best ice cream ever ! Fatima as well! She is very helpful with towels , reception, anything I needed. Beach is nice and clean, there’s plenty of chairs at every pool. The kids water park is AMAZING !!! Property is very safe at any time of the day.

    We have loved every minute of our vacation. The property, food, rooms, restaurants, pools, beach are amazing!! The best part of our stay has been the fantastic service from Star Prestige Team and the Entertainment Team!! I can’t say enough for the high level of care, service, and fun that has been shown to our family!! Thank you Pablo for making every day fun (bingo, activities, dancing, the shows!) ❤️❤️😀😀

    This all inclusive was very nice. Do not believe any of the negative reviews. The food in the specialty restaurants and buffets are awesome. The grounds are well kept and maintained. The rooms are clean. The staff is very nice. Eric at the front desk helped me with my transport back to the airport. Very nice vacation

    Except for having to put two beds together instead of one queen or king-size bed, the room accommodations were very good. All else was most excellent. The food, the resort staff, from drivers to restaurant staff. In my opinion, our villa's location could not have been any better. My wife and I were there with two other couples, and we all agreed that coming here again would be greatly considered.

    Great location, good drinks especially at the bar near the theatre. After A Busy weekend the service in the buffet restaurant was better. However, service at reception was not good at all. They don’t let you finish speaking, they don’t help you. They say they will do something but they don’t. Also the pool towel man not friendly at all! For Some he changes towels 3 times A day, I was told he does not change them the same day. Spa prices change daily. Spanish speaking people have better service than other speaking people. Love the hotel location, very big, very spacious..

    My stay could not have been better!! Everything from the location to the staff was phenomenal. The restaurants were great but you really could not go wrong with the Buffet, Mario, Arelis, Juan Carlos, Alexander, and Miguel made us feel like family. Always inviting and attentive.

    Iberostar is absolutely amazing!! The staff are wonderful, they remember our family by name and provide excellent service and check in with guests frequently! Alexander is very friendly and attentive, making sure all needs are met. I would recommend this resort to anybody looking for a fun, relaxing, and beautiful vacation spot.

    Sofia and her colleague was so lovely!!! They helped us everyday to start in a good Morning :) the table was prepared in such a pretty way. She always knows what we want to drink and sometimes the drinks were already on the table :) the service of her is excellent!! I’m working for Lufthansa and I know sometimes the guests could be strenuous… but she is always happy and my little girl likes her so much and had fun with her. Thanks a lot for this beautiful stay here with her!

    This resort is one of a kind. The service is impeccable and the food is always tasty and different every day. You can book diffeeent themed restaurants throughout your stay and have a unique experience to yourself. They go above and beyond all types of services and put effort in the food. Amazing hard worker and they truly want you to have the best experience. I would and probably will be coming back!

    The food was great during our entire stay. Each restaurant offered a good selection. However, that is where the positivity ends. On Day 1 we discovered they did not give us washcloths and there was no hot water in the shower. When I called Guest Services, I was transferred to a non answering phone. I then downloaded the Iberostarr App and ordered washcloths that way and reported the shower issue. No response for 30 minutes. I went to the lobby to report this. It took 45 minutes for maintenance to arrive and for washcloths to be delivered. My husband and I were taught that in order to get hot water, you have to allow the sink to run for several minutes and not turn it off. We had to complete this task throughout our 4 day stay. Day 2 our room was not cleaned until after 5pm and I had to request washcloths again. On day 3 our room was not cleaned until after 7pm. This was after I submitted 2 requests on the App and went to the lobby to speak with a manager. During our stay we were hassled about attending a 90 minute seminar and were told if We did not attend it would mess up our concierge's job. I will not return to this resort ever again.

    From the moment we arrived we were greeted with welcoming arms with very informative friendly staff. Uniforms have a great color scheme as a bonus, with i got one. The food buffets are perfect with many different culture options. The activities are very entertaining for all ages and the resort layout is well organized and labeled. Very safe and friendly resort I would recommend to anyone.

    This is absolutely not a family resort, unless your kids smoke cigarettes or cigars from morning to night. I am in the Iberostar Selection Bavaro with two children right now and here they smoke absolutely everywhere on the beach near the children's pools in the lobby, and especially at children's and regular shows at almost every table and smoke a lot of cigars for an hour or more. If you and your children do not smoke, then for the whole day you are so breathless of the smoke that it already hurts in your throat. After I turned to the staff and even the assistant manager Andreas, they explained to me that really people can smoke everywhere and for as long as they want, and if I don't like something, then I need to look for another place to watch shows with children. I cannot understand one why, if this is a resort for families with children, then inveterate smokers rule here. I rested in many resorts, but I have never seen such a smoking room anywhere and will never return to this place. P.S. In addition, on the first day we had room in building 25xx and there were cockroaches after which we were forced to move to another room.

    Beautiful location for a beach vacation. Grounds are lush, service is very good. Tons of food choices. The rooms are very nice. Beds comfy. We came in August and there was a good amount of seaweed on the beach and in the water. The resort did everything they could to remove it. The service staff is outstanding.

    I was terribly disappointed with the service as this resort. Face towels and ice is evidently a luxury to have as we could never get either. The staff show no sense of urgency and the COVID procedures are very loose. Get you a translator as English is not spoken by many of the staff. The bellhops are 5 star. I recommend they go to hospitality school or to any resort in Jamaica to learn how to treat their guests. The restaurants were okay. The best were the Steakhouse and Japanese. Do not go to the Spanish restaurant. The pool side servers were all great. Poor management tried to help but couldn’t succeed. I love traveling and hate leaving resorts, but this one have me excited to leave.

    Food was awesome and the service even better. We went with a group of 4, no kids, and had the best time. We went during covid protocols and felt very safe. Ocean was great for some moderate snorkeling and we were always able to get pool or beach since service the entire stay. Only downside was being verbally assaulted for being American, but not on the resort by any stretch.

    I came to spend the day at this resort with a school trip! It was the best experience, everyone was so nice and welcoming. We were given a tour by Andrew Wright. He was amazing, he was able to show us all the cool things the resort offered. Highly recommend this resort I would go back right now if I could!

    We had a superb time at the resort. The service was amazing, drinks were delicious - when in DR you must try Mama Juana. Evelyn provided friendly and professional guest services during lunch and dinner.     The food was amazing and the service is awesome! Andrecito is the most kind person and really attended to our needs right away. All the workers accommodated to us and were so kind when we requested them with any task. Overall we loved this and would go again!

    Great destination really no reason to leave if you are looking to relax. However it is far enough away that there is nothing within walking distance other than adjoining Iberostar resorts. You will need to hire a car or rent one of you want to sight see. Also there is a hard sales pitch to sell you on one of their "vacation memberships" with the offer of a free massage to go through the process, do yourself a favor and pay for the massage and save yourself the 2 hours of your life you'll never get back going through the entire process unless you like the whole buying a used car sales pitch thing. That said it's a beautiful beach, nice clean grounds and a great staff

    My husband and I just came back from the Iberostar Selection Bavaro for our Christmas holiday. And once again, we had the most memorable and fabulous time. We have been to many different Iberostar resorts as we are fans of the Iberostar Group. But we are huge addicts to the Selection Bavaro as the service, staff and management are unbeatable!!! Once we made our booking, we were able to get in touch with hotel management with any questions. Everyday, we were most warmly greeted by the reception, restaurants, bars, and pool staff. Food and drinks continue to be awesome, and we just felt so spoiled with all the offering. Will be back!

    It was a fantastic stay. The food had a great variety, the beach is amazing and they are enough sunbeds, the evening shows were entertaining, the staff is so nice, the rooms are fantastic and all those palm trees in the resort are just fairy like. I can only recommend this place if you are looking for quality ! The waves are relatively smaller then on other places in Punta Cana because of the reefs that break the waves before they arrive to the beach. Everything is clean the beach, the resort. I can just say good things, nothing bad ! Ok maybe one thing that I would mention here. The sound from the events could be heard on the rooms that are closer to the reception, so maybe it is better to ask for a room closer to the beach. but not near the pool though.

    The resort is beautiful - the crew works really hard to ensure it is cleanly and well kempt. The maintenance team does an excellent job at making sure there is no litter around the resort, no dead leaves on the trees. The entertainment team is so kind and welcoming, always so lively and energetic - they always make conversation with everyone and always makes friends with everyone. The crew as a whole is so friendly and sweet, such kind and genuine people

    This is the second Iberostar all inclusive we have been to. We enjoyed it immensely. Our room was nice. The resort was beautiful and well maintained. There was a large variety of food and the quality was overall excellent. We had a few hiccups with the room service, but at the end of our stay we were satisfied and happy with our stay. Thank you to the wonderful people of the Dominican Republic!

    We spent a week here for a friends birthday and everything about this place was amazing. The rooms were clean and had comfortable beds. The beach was clean and beautiful. I can’t say one negative thing about my experience. Arelis, Mario, Juan Carlos, Miguel, and Alexander went out of their way to make breakfast and dinner extra special every day! They even surprised my friend with a special dinner for her birthday. They always greeted us and seemed genuinely happy to be there. This crew did an amazing job and I was sad to say good bye. Can’t wait to come back.

    Great place and nice staff. Love the restaurants and the breakfast buffet. I think they can improve the food and add more variety to it especially for lunch&dinner. I would suggest to add more local food. Unfortunately the seaweed in the beach did not allow us to enjoy the ocean. Workers tried to remove it at night or early in the morning but it was too much.
