If you are here to drink and party 24/7, please skip my review. For those looking for a true 5-star resort experience, do look elsewhere. 1. Rooms are not properly cleaned before arrival. 2. Linen old, dirty and occasionally will have holes in it. 3. No one is likely to understand what you actually mean unless you are fluent with Spanish. 4. Music hammering outside past 11PM. 5. Zero sound isolation. You will hear people whisper in the corridor, let alone those noisy couples/couples of couples coming home past midnight. Worst resort we’ve been to.

The resort it self was beautiful. Beach was covered in seaweed and solicitors harassed you a lot. Worse part was accepting the deal to listen to the time share pitch. We got 3 free excursions from agreeing to go but upon leaving the sale area an affiliate partner called Leading Destinations is your last stop and they offer great deals to visit the other Hard Rock properties. They offered a 5 day 4 night stay at any Hard Rock property for $389. So we bit on it. Fine print is that's only the registration fee and it's still $1,100 to book the trip. The same we paid for the initial trip. Deceptive sales tactics that will forever overshadow an otherwise great family vacation.

UPDATE: Just got back from the trip and it ended better than it started off. Upgraded them to 3 stars. Overall the service is all over the place. Some employees really seem to care and I did get a call from guest services to inquire about my initial review. Our kids had a good time so made up for some of the short comings. But overall hard to give this resort more than 3 stars based on my previous experiences at other resorts. Just checked in yesterday 6/27 for a family vacation and a birthday for my wife. I was expecting average service but even that’s hard to find. Ordered a cake for her birthday for 5pm and spoke to 2 different guest service reps and still no cake l. It’s 5:30 right now. I called to find out where the cake is and I’m told it was already delivered. But no cake. Then they said they will send it right over and still not here. This place is way overrated. Do not come here. Unfortunately I still have 3 more days here. Stay away. Go to another resort. The service here since we checked in is below average. The management here doesn’t seem to care at how this place is run. Food is below average too. I’ll just book a cruise next time and risk getting sick. It’ll still be an upgrade over this BS.

The Hard Rock was definitely a fun experience! If you prefer your vacations to be filled with lots of activities and people, this is the place for you! We enjoyed all the restaurants and events throughout the week, but just prefer a more low-key vacation. You definitely get what you pay for here - there are a lot of bars, restaurants, and things to do that are covered in the all-inclusive package so would recommend going that route. The grounds were well maintained with a lot of staff always around cleaning and keeping the place looking nice! Everyone was friendly and helpful as well. We worked out in the gym every day which was very nice to have on-site. Wished we could have checked out the spa but it was a little overpriced for us. There was always plenty of towels and chairs at the beach and pools which was nice. Would definitely recommend staying here if you have kids or a large group who enjoys having fun!

We came to this hotel on the recommendation of family members to hopefully plan our wedding here. We have been to multiple resorts and although all are different, we have had a great experience in all of them. This however was horrible. I do not and cannot understand how people can give this any more than 2-3 stars. The good: The hotel looks pretty, and has many pools. The casino is big. The bad: Service is hit or miss, you can either have great service or be treated like garbage by someone else. The trams are slow or non existent. The drinks are hit or miss as well. Everything closes at 6 and everyone goes to the main building for food. The UGLY: I have never experienced food so bad in a hotel ever. During our 3-night stay we did not have one single good meal! At one of the restaurants the rice was rotten, as if it had been sitting out for days. The pizza at the market was stale. Even the ice cream shop was horrible. I refuse to accept that this is 5-star food. We went to The grand at moon palace earlier this year and where blown away by the restaurants. This is terrible. Please please please DO NOT waste your money coming here. I’m not sure if there are better resorts in Punta Cana but this is the worst experience we have ever had.

I’m giving this resort 2 stars because the staff were very friendly and could only work with what the resort provided them. Otherwise, I would not recommend this resort at all. The rooms are not cleaned daily nor are they properly cleaned when room service does come. Our linens were stained and it took 4 phone calls, 2 trips to the front desk and a trip to guest services to get the sheets changed. If you want any amenities replenished you must call for service. On more than one occasion during day time pool visits the bars ran out of rum and on one occasion the two pools we were using could not make frozen drinks and their snack bars ran out of food and closed by 15:30. Lines for food and for restaurant reservations are long and time consuming. Also, as a Hard Rock facility you would expect evening entertainment which is sorely lacking. As a final note I would like to point out that if you are an 18-20 year old who wants to stay wasted on cheap liquor this place may be for you. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing, all inclusive holiday you should look elsewhere.

For this review I’ll start with the positives. The beaches and pools are beautiful and well-kept. Drink service is quick and the variety of pools is awesome. That being said, there’s several things that need lots of work. The food is nothing special, in fact some of it was completely inedible. They recommend you make reservations for dinner but only offer 1-2 times at a restaurant they have available. Their website is incorrect as it lists several restaurants being open for lunch when there were only two. Our room seemed dirty and our bathtub only had scalding hot water. In addition, some of the employees were extremely friendly and nice yet others were rude and unprofessional. The lack of food availability is surprising and we went to bed hungry several nights. On the beach you are constantly swarmed by pushy vendors trying to sell overpriced merchandise. I would recommend this place for college kids who just want to go to drink and party, but other than that stay far far away

I am AMAZED this place has such good reviews. Don’t be fooled. This is not a place to take a “nice vacation”. It smelled musty and there is no real cleanliness. You will always be getting whiffs of a mix of cleaning products, dirty water, and cheap perfume. It is very much a place that relies on ornate decor to mask the old and outdated accommodations. Our room was infested with mosquitos. Waking up with bites all over me was not ideal by any means. The fridge in our room was also broken and never worked all week. Towels had blood on them and our sheets were stained/had cigarette burns. Don’t even bother ordering room service because they will say 30 minutes and it will take 2 hours. The food was not good at all, in fact multiple people got sick from it. I pretty much lived off of cereal and bread. We dined at the casino restaurant the last night after having less than desirable food at all the restaurants, and was still disappointed with the service and food. I am sick upon leaving, even though I did not drink the water. It was very hard to get drinks- not unusual to wait 20-30 min for a single drink. They also ran out of certain types of alcohol so you couldn’t even get what you wanted. It seems that they do not have the staff to accommodate the masses of people staying here. Everything is slow, including dining at the restaurants. The bar for service is so low, you’d be lucky if you got served within 30 minutes of sitting down. The beaches are beautiful, I just wish I stayed at a resort that was more personalized and accommodating to individual guests as opposed to a mass produced operation. Don’t make the mistake I did and stay elsewhere!!

I am sitting in a hotel room in the hard rock Dominican Republic resort as I type this. The air conditioning in the entire hotel is supposedly broken and it is currently 77 degrees in our room and has been in the mid 70’s for the past 2 nights before this one. We are being told that it only just broke and there is nothing management can do because we haven’t documented the problem with anyone before tonight. In a time where covid is affecting the industry we were willing to give the problem time to see if it would correct itself and that backfired on us. When complaints were expressed to the management team Brenda at the front desk got up in my face and stared me down in an effort to further escalate the problem. This type of behavior is unacceptable in any setting especially from management in a service industry. This is the most recent problem to add to a laundry list of issues experienced thus far. The staff are not as friendly as one would like apart from a few. They literally charge you for anything and everything they can including pushing the sales of bottles of wine at dinner even after you had told them you don’t drink it. Pools are not well kept resort is under major construction in multiple areas with constant noise. A large majority of the food and beverage requests I have made could not be met which may be a result of supply chain problems I am not sure. Food is not terrible and the atmosphere is nice but all in all this is not a place I will return to nor will I give any hard rock hotels my business in the future. Please pray for me as I have 2 more nights to endure after this one.

Beware of the sales people when you check in and when you check out. After check in, you’re already being watched by the woman with clip board’s in the lobby, you’ll be approached and asked for your name and room number, that’s when it all starts. I was told by Leadings Destination is Cesar, after refusing to spend a minute of my time with him, he would text everyone morning. One day even went looking for us and found us at at the pool. Don’t let these people mislead you, they say it’s not a timeshare talk that it’s a membership. It’s all the same, you don’t need them when they tell you they are your point of contact for your experience, it’s all a tactic to get you to attend 1 hour to discuss your options. You can make your own restaurant reservations in the checkout lobby in Group Lobby and for the spa you can go there directly to the spa and book. For excursions the same, across from The Market restaurant.

Despite being almost new, things seem to be falling apart here. There are shuttles that go all over, but they are horribly loud and squeaky. If you are unfortunate enough to be able to hear from your room, you won't sleep between 6am and 1am. In the first 4 days of our trip the thermostat broke twice, leading to the air completely shutting off. Even when working, it runs (loudly)constantly and wouldn't actually get the temperature. Bathrooms are in various states of disrepair, most of the toilets I used were broken(wouldn't automatically flush, the button was also not working, toilet seat unattached). Various bathrooms were also shut down, leading to long walks to get to another. This place is huge and crowded! Anticipate a wait anywhere you go to eat unless you have a reservation, which only 2 restaurants take. Also, the food is not very good, so if you're a foodie, be warned. LINES! Get ready to wait, even grab-n-go food by the pool for lunch will take 20/25 minutes. Bars too. There are sales people who hound you constantly, the picture guy, the vacation club, locals on the beach. From the moment you get there, they will insist you need to meet with the vacation planner to make dinner reservations(you don't) and pressure you to immediately sit down with them. It was overwhelming after a long flight with kids. Also, there are numerous pools and bars that only VIP guests can use, they aren't well marked so you might wait in line only to be turned away. Or finally find seats, and be asked to leave moments later. Work on your Spanish before you go, most employees know very little English and communicating was difficult! Check in seemed to be roughest for guests who weren't fluent in Spanish. You won't get to swim at the beach! The life guard are intense. Most will let you go to mid-thigh deep water, but one day the guy wouldn't let us go past our knees! Was rather ridiculous and not very fun. The surf and rip tide are extremely rough, red days every day. Even booking and paying was a hassle, it took almost 3 days and multiple international calls to pay the remaining balance the week prior to our trip! They sent an email stating the balance must be paid 7 days prior, but gave no way to make it. We had to reach staff on-site to generate a link which took hours on the phone. There are much better resorts at this price point, and this is definitely one we will not be returning to.

I went for a wedding and it was a great time because of great people. The Hard Rock is pretty standard. Well-maintained, they have ample pools to choose from each with a different vibe. It's family friendly and children were mostly well entertained with the water park, arcades, activities and separate pools. Service is lacking, some at the lobby desk were plain rude. Food is average and nothing to rave about. The place is huge and you're reliant on trolleys. Everything has an add-on price (including coconuts!). The gym is very nice. I don't regret my stay.

ID GIVE IT 0/5 STARS IF I COULD!!! We went on a bonus week! (Supposedly free) and They charged my husband $200/night to stay in my room when my room was covered by insurance because I caught covid at their resort! They not only got the insurance to pay for my stay and medical expenses to quarantine up to 14days they charged my husband to stay with me in MY ROOM (covered). We tried to talk them down to paying for my husbands meals and they said they can’t because this is policy. What is it policy to charge a room that’s already paid for? Isn’t this insane? They charged us full price and WE did NOT have any housekeeping, we could NOT use the amenities, no one wanted to service us, and when I was sick the doctors only came twice only to test me NOT TREAT ME. My husband had to go to the market and buy medicine because the doctors didn’t come when we called many times. We had to pay the $2,363.50 to the hotel because we couldn’t miss our flight back. WE ARE ANGRY. SO FOR WHATEVER REASON , CURRENT MEMBER —CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP—-OR THINKING OF BECOMING MEMBERS, DO NOT DO IT. There are BETTER places to stay in. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESORT. DO NOT.

Not really all inclusive. They nickel and dime you for everything. Supposed to be 5 star. What a joke! I've stayed at 3 stars that were better!

t was our first time going to this resort and we will never stay here again, or recommend it to anyone else! Normally would not leave such a bad/ lengthy review but this needed to be mentioned to other families. Terrible, unfriendly, unorganized and unprofessional customer service and resort management. We have been to numerous resorts before and have never experienced such horrible service like we did at this Hard Rock location. This trip was booked due to the resort having good reviews and the pictures seemed like it would be an ideal place to take my family on our vacation- I was wrong. Before even getting to the resort my wife experienced horrible customer service from the reps over the phone. She called to ask a question regarding our stay and was put on a loop of the same answer every single time she called and was hung up on, every single time. Management needs to overlook their representatives because they are certainly not doing their job correctly, we weren’t able to get an answer any time we called. During our stay, there was hardly anyone around to help/ assist as we made our way around the resort for accommodations or food/beverage service. A huge resort with lack of help/direction/ no service was pretty disappointing all around. Families go to resorts to unwind, create great memories and experience new things with their children-however that did not happen here. It was not a relaxing experience having to constantly look around for someone or not have any service at all during the day. Definitely was not worth the money or our time being here. Before leaving the resort we spoke to a representative and wrote a letter explaining everything and were told that we would hear back from management. However, it’s been two months and we haven’t been contacted yet.

This is my second visit to this location in the last 5 years. I must say how impressed I am by the new changes. Most rooms on the resorts are newly renovated, and although a few restaurants are still under renovation, the rest were well improved. I compared the food to home, and I was very impressed by the new menu. The freshness, flavor, and variety were on point and delicious. The rooms were comfortable, modern, and beautifully designed. We were also very pleased with the amount of entertainment for children. From bowling alleys, to arcade to mini golf and a huge water park, our child was very happy and it kept him busy. We didn't use the nanny service, but if you choose to, you have the option so you can enjoy your adult time while the nanny accompanies your children to water park, and other activities. Even though the resort was large, there was trains to pick you up every 10 minutes. The staff were easy going, which makes you feel more comfortable and relaxed in my opinion. The options for snacks which includes ice cream parlor, coffee bar that offers sandwiches, fruits and vegetables were so convenient. For adults, the show they put on every evening is very good compared to most we've been. Gym is large and has every equipment you could hope for. I really enjoyed the spa, the service was great, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. If you want to a quiet time, there are adult-only pools. The main pool offers lots of entertainment for your daily visits. As for your room, room service for meals was very fast, and turn down service is available upon request in addition to your daily cleaning. Lastly, the beach was beautiful, some odd days will have seaweed but very limited. Lots of beds, and chairs with no stress to reserve them early in the morning. Overall, I can't rave enough about how impressed I am with the new improvements of this place. We really enjoyed our trip!

I stayed at the Hard Rock for 7 days and the experience was great! The staff was always friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurants was delicious everyday and even in the buffet it was yummy. The pools where so fun and relaxing. My only complaint is that there was not enough golf carts to pick up people. The hotel is so big and it is a lot of walking I have a condition where I can’t walk much so It wasn’t an option. Also the soda was always stale. I would prefer either individual bottles or cans. Only complaints everything else was amazing.

My wife and I have not been here for a few years (at least 4-5). We switched to another hotel group because this place had fallen off badly in the room, food quality, and service. We came this time only because of a concert, and wow have they improved. Everything is clean. The rooms are great. The service is back. The food and alcohol are abundant and top-notch again. The place had a design overhaul in a lot of areas. They spent time and money to build it back up to greatness. Bravo to Hard Rock for a remarkable recovery!

We had a couple's trip at the hard rock Punta Cana, it was tons of fun, and we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were good for the price. The food was very average, but we had great pool food at the Eden pool (fried shrimp was one of the best things we ate). The entertainment was fun/engaging and made the experience so much more enjoyable. I wanted to Highlight one of the staff that works at the main pool. His name is Ramon, and he was the nicest man and provided the best service I have ever had in my whole life. We didn't have to ask for anything he would read our minds and bring us whatever we needed. He made us all feel like family and took excellent care of us the whole week. I would come back to this resort just because of Ramon! The other staff at the resort was great as well! If anyone from management is reading this review, I want to make it clear that Ramon is one of the most hardworking people I have ever met, really cares about the guests and deserves a huge raise. I will be back to this resort because of Ramon, he left us with such a great experience.

Edit: After getting a response to this review by Hard Rock, I contact them as instructed and have not received any email back. It is obvious that they do not care about solving the issues other than creating an appearance of doing it. Original review: This is a great hotel if you are not worried about money. My son had a small scratch inside his nose which made him bleed. The moment the hotel found out, the took me and my son to see the doctor in the hotel ($250). The doctor did not check my son, but instead transferred him to the hospital ($350). When in the hospital, a real doctor checked him and in less than 5 minutes determined it was a scratch and didn’t need anything else ($500). The hotel did not care about me being stranded in a country I did not know, or how I would get back to the hotel. They did not care about the well-being of my son. They cared about the amount of money they could charge me, including for medicine my son never received. When contacted about the situation, the hotel turn his back and said it was not their responsibility. The service is good, but their responses and emergency are targeted to take the most amount of money out of you. All of this happened at my son’s birthday.

Overall I had very good experience, very friendly service and courteous always. I loved that they have several restaurant options, the quality and variety of the food was excellent, there are some restaurants that you must book in the lobby for dinner and do it with time because the spaces sell out quickly. They have a disco that is ideal to disconnect one night, a space to bowl, you will not get bored! There are many pools most very close to the beach. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, I slept excellently.

We “won” a trip to this hotel. Let me tell you we were actually real “losers”. While the servers were nice and did a good job, everything else about this place was bad. It is too big and the trams you have to take just to get to a pool are far and few between. The food was terrible. Every restaurant was the same but with a different name. Cold and dried food. You could tell it had been sitting under heat lamps for a long time. The wine was terrible. If you have any kind of experience with good food and wine do not visit this place. Everyone we spoke with the week we were there were not impressed. We were glad to leave after a five day stay. I do not recommend this if you are looking for anything slightly sophisticated and relaxing. Definite thumbs down.

I have never seen a hard rock hotel so poorly run. This place is absolutely atrocious. First of all, it’s not all inclusive. Here’s what you get: access to SOME beaches & SOME pools as well as food/beverages. Here’s what you have to pay extra for: laser tag, bowling, escape room, casino, the bar inside the casino, arcade, mini golf, golf carts, and certain restaurants. Basically any of the fun amenities that they market themselves as having. The service, especially in the market, is extremely horrible. I wish I had better words to describe the awe and disgust that I have experienced at this location because horrible is simply not enough. It takes them 30 minutes just to take your drink order. By the time the drinks come around you’ve already eaten. I was served orange juice in a glass that was stained with lipstick. When I told the waitress it was dirty she caught an attitude and took another 10 minutes to replace the orange juice. This is one example. The toilet in our room started leaking, and our family members staying a couple rooms over spent the first few days without air conditioning in their room. It took us each about five calls about our respective situations to finally get a fix. We also found a large cockroach with wings in our room and it made me have a panic attack. The VIP pool, which is limited access, had a hamburger floating around as well as bits and pieces from the overhanging plants & dead flies. This place is dirty, there is no regard for customer care, and the food is subpar. The Zen and the Bistro are the only place with somewhat decent food. For a 5 star restaurant that markets themselves off of luxury, this is definitely not that. One of the restaurants is shaped like a hut and the lights are dimmed simply because there’s no air conditioning. We were sweating into our food. Don’t get me started on that “90 minute” membership breakfast that turns into a 5 hour ordeal because they simply do not want to take no for an answer. It cut through half our day and it was so pointless. There’s so much more to say but overall based on my experience here I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone if it was the last hotel on the planet.

Felt super safe and lots to do, not a bad choice if you are traveling with Children and family. Lots food options and entertainment. Probably would’ve able to do more than 5 day here. The transportation around the resort is not consistent at times waiting about 20 min for a ride for it to only be full. The gulf carts rentals were sold out. Basketball hoop had todays that we were chasing down the attendants. The ac isn’t strong enough, our group had several rooms and we all had the same complaints. The food is okay, the sandwich shop was probably the best, zen was okay too. Long lines for quick bites. Some vegetarian/ vegan options. Our teens enjoyed the night life, I felt safe with them roaming around the resort without us. The staff is very nice and helpful. We will return because the kids loved it.

Rooms themselves were great, however AC hardly worked made sleeping at night nearly unbearable. We had to request several fans in order to keep airflow in the room which barely did anything. The resort itself is nice, it’s just massive to the point that getting to the main lobby where most of the solid food spots were was major hike. The food overall was a 2/5 leaving much to be desired for the price paid. You’ll find 1 maybe 2 places that will meet your expectations that you’ll have to frequent to get a good meal. The service wasn’t great either, unless you tipped well upfront expect lackluster attention. Be sure to lock up all valuables when leaving the room, my GF and I both had credit cards taken while gone on an excursion and more than $5000+ of fraudulent charges made on them. The beach was nice though.

My husband and I visited the resort the week of Thanksgiving. When we arrived in the evening the lobby seemed incredibly dark and initially I was unimpressed with the overall appearance. Additionally, during check in process we found out that our room was on the first floor (my husband specifically requested a room NOT on the first floor when he made the reservation). We were told that another room wouldn’t be available until the next day. Our first floor room was a bit more noisy and the bathroom smelled like mildew and the showers weren’t very clean. We ended up having the same problem with the shower in the second room we moved to, so it didn’t appear to be an isolated incident. We also had issues with our A/C unit in the second room. In the middle of the night the room would start to get hot. We figured out the trick was to open and close one of the doors to the outside and the air will come back on. There appear to be sensors in the room, which is great for being energy efficient, but is incredibly inconvenient when you wake up sweating in the middle of the night. The next day we were met by someone who tried to sell us a membership. It was a high pressure sales pitch and we were told it was a one time offer. I told the person than I wasn’t interested in buying into something that I hadn’t experienced before nor researched. I went through several iterations of saying no, they kept decreasing the cost, etc. I was very unhappy that I spent so much of my first day listening to a sales pitch. I had no idea this would be involved with this trip. After giving a firm no and saying I was done, I was permitted to leave after having to speak with a manager. Again, this really soured my impression of the resort. The food was mostly sub par, either being over cooked and or not seasoned well. The staff was very friendly and most tried to go out of their way for us. I sincerely appreciated that. There were some areas that needed improvement. When we requested the room move, we were told a bell hop would come by our room in twenty minutes to assist us with our baggage and they didn’t show up until an hour later. This caused us to miss our dinner reservation. We were told by the front desk that they would move the reservation back for us, but instead they canceled it. The check out process was chaotic. My husband had to make multiple trips back to the front desk to get everything squared away and get our passes to get on the shuttle back to the airport. The check out process NEEDS to be streamlined. I don’t understand why so many tickets are needed to check out and get your luggage on a shuttle to the airport. The resort is nice looking, staff is friendly, but overall my experience wasn’t great.

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Our favorite part about this resort was the beach and beautiful ocean water. The water was crystal clear, during our stay the early part of May 2022. Everything else was good, but not amazing. However, we were with friends and had a great time, especially when the bars had Patron Tequila - but that was more miss than hit. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed their pool/beach activities and evening shows. Scooby made sure we had fun, also giving answers to our questions and letting us know about resort events. Our room was nice and the food was fair. We did win some money at the casino, only for the house to win it right back.

We stayed here for one week and the resort is amazing. It’s very big but there is a train that takes you around. Restaurants and food is nice and the staff that work there are so friendly. Amazing hotel staff. I am pleased I stayed at this hotel. The pools are amazing and the entertainment at the pools is great. The room and grounds are well kept and super clean. The only cons I have is that the beach has the most strongest waves so if you have kids they cannot swim in the beach and when we was leaving no one came to collect our suitcases so when our transport coach arrived to take us to the airport we did not have our luggage. However, again the staff were super helpful and went straight away to get it from our room. I would recommend this hotel if you go Dominic Republic and would like to thank all the staff that work there.

We are staying at the resort right now, came here to enjoy Christmas holiday. Turns out this was a great mistake! They do not have any room for the Christmas dinner at the ball room, you would think they would know that people would want that and plan accordingly. My son lost his wrist band while playing in the beach and they want us to pay $75 per day. They put it loose and hence it fell and want to charge for their mistake??? We complaint at the front desk with their manager and he said to file a complaint with concierge service and they wanted us to go back to the front desk, it’s insane, no one knows what they are doing here. This is the second time we are here and never again for sure. For this much money we deserve much better service. People don’t waste your money and time at this place.

3rd time here - never coming back 1. AC in our room and all our guests & friends was trash - never below 75 2. Rooms shabby n trashy 3. Customer service in resort only cares about 1 thing... Vacation club upsell... STOP with that garbage 4. Casino staff were particularly horrible service... Dealers talk negatively in Spanish to each other about Americans (I speak Spanish so I know) I heard em disparaging daily 5. Food is relatively unavailable & only cheap stuff 6. Drink pours are stingy Never going back. Worse than a carnival cruise

We traveled to The Hard Rock on 11/18/23 to check out the casino. As soon as we came inside, we were approached about wanting to tour the resort and offered free lunch. We politely declined, as I know how the 'vacation club/time share' scenarios go. We have been staying at Majestic Elegance (phenomenal place, will review them separately) and just wanted to check out the casino. We went to the casino and we were greeted by an amazing server Perla Mendoza located in the casino. She ensured our drinks continued coming and was polite and friendly. We absolutely loved her!

I came from a different resort to try my luck at the casino! Staff spoke good English! Bar served a real liquor. We won 7k that night🤑 paid our trip! Thanks Hard Rock

First time staying at the resort. It's nice with lots of amenities. The room look good, but the ac units need an overhaul. It loud and some don't work. And some pool areas need new tiles. Overall pretty good experience and a good selection of food options. All inclusive make this a great vacation spot. They also have wedding packages here, saw at least 2 couples getting married.

Exceptional property. Rooms are fantastic; amenities are amazing. Food was okay, but you can't expect Michelin restaurants at an all-inclusive resort. Drinks are strong and servers are very welcoming.

The best hotel we have visited, the staff was very friendly in helping with any questions, our family had a lot of fun and they really liked the atmosphere. The room was beautiful and it was a surprise to enter and see our first and last name on the TV and rock music. an unforgettable surprise effect. What to improve? The gentlemen who manage the transportation to the apartments are the best guides, they were the only ones who explained to us in detail what places to visit and visit as a family, since no one gave us that introduction. Even so, we bought a package to enjoy their other locations as a family... thank you very much!!!!

The room we had was incredibly clean and had a stunning view of the sunrise over the ocean. The service was friendly and fast as well - room service typically arrived within 30 minutes (and tasted great!), we didn't wait too long for drinks, check in and out went smoothly. We had good experiences at the Spa as well. The resort is HUGE so be prepared for a lot of walking or taking the trolley. Get to know the map and you'll find little short cuts. We weren't there long enough to experience everything, and it was a work based trip so dinners were planned so unfortunately I can't comment too much on the food. Lunches were great at Med Bistro and Stacked. We did purchase food at the Casino late one night and it was fantastic. The espresso martinis at the Casino were also delicious, although obviously you have to pay cash or card (not included in all inclusive package). There was tons of stuff to do for families and kids. I wish the beach was a little cleaner, we had a lot of seaweed and even trash and things we kept stepping on, but it was not a deal breaker by any means.

FAR FROM FIVE STARS! We stayed at the Hard Rock Punta Cana for a wedding. We have been here four days and have yet to see the five star experience. From decaying beams to dirty, poorly maintained rooms, as well as having to wait 30 min to an hour for a trolley to take you anywhere, we don’t see the luxury of this hotel. The food, whether buffet or restaurant, has been terrible. For an island resort, there seems to be no seasoning available for the food. Only a few select items from different places have had something decent/edible. That’s what you get for something of this scale. They seem to just be pushing out food and quality is not a priority. I’d rather pay for my meals than this all inclusive experience. The ONLY thing that was a decent experience was the wedding itself and the reception. Food was still lacking, but the service at the reception was good. Also, the beach is constantly in a state of turmoil. The tide is too strong for most people to enjoy, which is opposite of what you’d expect staying in a Caribbean destination. All in all, I wouldn’t recommend this resort to anyone wanting to visit Punta Cana. I hear that it’s competition, Lopesan, is EXCEPTIONALLY better than this and will very likely be staying there next time around.

For the price this place is a bit of a disappointment. The service is a B minus. The food is a C. The rooms are very nice, but the AC doesn’t get near cold enough. “All Inclusive” is a bit of a joke. Lots of things that cost extra. The photography shop is a scam. They took advantage of us big time. Am I disappointed we came - not necessarily. Would I come again? - NO WAY!

They dropped the ball on the restaurants and food. They have great location bomb pools and beach location is so nice. But the food is horrible. So let’s get into it. They have things like bowling , laser tag and even things like escape room! But you have pay for them so don’t get it confused with it being apart of the all inclusive. The drinks are like mid. The staff and language barrier is present! However the room is bomb they have really nice bathrooms and the tub on the patio is so nice. Overall I enjoyed the trolley taking you around the property that’s super large. They have fun activities on site. It’s kid friendly as well as couple friendly.

I give it 3 stars because the place is amazing, the environment is very welcoming, and overall very clean; actually one of the cleanest resorts in Punta Cana. Unfortunately, their customer service needs a lot of improvement. Trying to get help from anyone resulted in everyone acting completely clueless! This makes me to never want to visit the place again. I expected a lot more from this place as I have been to their restaurants many times in the United States and always a great experience, but here was not the same. I hope management sees this and corrects the problem.

The room was nice, just needed smaller hand towels. Also maybe a microwave for all the food being served to your room. It's was a challenge to speak with a supervisor that can make decisions, everything is a protocol answer, with no help. But we did enjoyed ourselves overall, despite little issues.

  • 4/5 Francisco U. 8 months ago on Google
I only give it a 4 star due to the fact the AC do not work in any of the rooms. These rooms are 2 large for 1 small AC vent holes, they at least need 2 vents to keep these rooms cold. We had to be changed to 3 rooms and none of the AC performed as they were suppose to…. We received a room also with people in it. Crazy right! Other complaint, the carts that drive around are not enough, we were waiting for carts well over 20 min. Add more to your fleet!…….Other than that, the resort is huge, lots of activities and thing to do. Many pools and the food was awsome! There is some guys in the Dominican food buffet area which were pretty awesome and gave us A+ service. Should had gotten their names but did not. They had the real authentic Dominican food in the back. The water park for kids was great, only down side was no alcohol in this area. I think beers should at least be provided for the Adults. Many pools to enjoy and have fun.

Overall, the rooms are awesome! Very spacious but not a lot of closet space. The food is just OK. It's not the highest quality, but average. The weather is great at this time. Very little rain and for a short period. The shows are pretty good. The Michael Jackson show was the best. The service is great but the language barrier (english) was tough at times. This caused service to be slower than needed on a few occasions like meals and asking for items over the phone. The water park is pretty good as there are no line ups. The pools are all nice, well maintained and there is great music and a foam party which makes it fun. The beach is very nice! Just some seaweed but otherwise, very high waves and the kids loved it. Beach volleyball was also fun!

This place is great for all ages and all walks of life. Food is amazing, the service is great. Make sure you pack a good pair of shoes to walk around cause this resort is huge!! I had a good pair of sports sandals and I was perfect. However, this resort offers a free shuttle service which works really well.

Rooms were spacious, updated and clean. Honestly I was surprised how nice the rooms were! The restaurants were also decent for an all inclusive and the bars offered a good selection of premium alcohol brands and great service. The Mediterranean restaurant was our favorite. Amenities were great as well. Everything felt new, clean etc.. while the resort is family friendly it also had a great energy for traveller's looking for night life. Lots of people who weren't staying at Hard Rock came in to the night club, casino etc.. so definitely a fun vibe in that area of the resort. Almost feels like there's something for everyone. Overall one of my better all inclusive experience!

Beautiful property. Love the beach there. Rooms were clean, resorts were clean..restaurants were clean. Daily nightly activities planned and their child watch is amazing. My 5 year girl loved it. So much to do for her. Lots of activities for every age group. Casino is good but bets are high. Night club is amazing. The only complaint is have is that the food sucks here. So many restaurants but Medicare food. No taste at all. Even though Mexican food doesn't taste like Mexican at all. If they improve their food quality and more options specially vegetarian that's its gonna be the best property in PC

The rooms are very nice and comfortable. The main lobby is pretty cool and gives you the feeling of rock with an amazing view of the terrace and water. The grounds are huge with tons of things to do: swimming, foosball, bowling, pool, gambling, spa, working out, mini golf, golf, beach and water volleyball, water aerobics and more. There are a good amount of food choices and quality is as you would expect. My only complaint and why not higher stars. The main pool deck concrete is crumbling which means lots of little pebbles as you walk barefoot. One guy had to get first aid to pull out a larger piece.

We just got back from Hard Rock and it was a wonderful week. We had been twice before and loved it again. The beach was amazing and my kids loved jumping in the waves. They are building a huge water park but for now there is a little one for younger kids to enjoy. Their staff is friendly and everything was clean and organized. The food could improve for sure but all the resorts seem similar to me. Ana was the absolute best though! She welcomed us, made us our dinner reservations, helped us book covid tests and anything else we needed. She booked us in for the time share presentation and gave us some amazing perks for our time. The massages we got were amazing and the dinner you usually pay for at the casino was wonderful. I had a problem at check out and she ran to my rescue within minutes. Thank you so much Ana!!

Could not have worse things to say. This has been the worst experience of the 23 countries I’ve been to. The Manager is definitely at fault. However, the food is also horrendous. The menus are inaccurate and extremely slim. The in-room dining is nearly non-existent. Do not even consider staying here. I will never be back let alone waste money at a Hard Rock resort.

  • 4/5 M B. 2 years ago on Google
The rooms are spacious and clean. Altho there seems to be wasted space in the 2 bedroom; there is not a microwave in the kitchenette to reheat a cold waffle and the fridge is in the bedroom. A lot of plastic is used daily and is not recycled. The staff is courteous but does not always give accurate directions. The wait time for shuttle service is often long. The American food is overcooked and just warm. It is never hot. However, entertainment is awesome and breakfast is good in the Market but the waffles are never hot.

Great place to vocation with family and friends The crew members and services is one of the best. The restaurants and the food is excellent. You have 6 pools and great beautiful beach to spend the time. The place maintenance is in very high level and look like paradise no doubt. I highly recommend this hotel to all.

Love love love this place. My friends and I will definitely be back. Food and drinks were great. The entertainment guys are hilarious so much fun. Thank you to our guy Francisco for keeping us laughing and dancing. Definitely recommend this resort.

The rooms in the newer buildings are fantastic. The refurbished rooms in the older buildings are not — Ours smelled, we found an empty beer can in it, etc.) On our final night, the smoke alarm kept going off periodically. The food quality ranges from good to poor. There is a wide selection but not variety. Don’t bother with the ethnic restaurants.

One of the best hotels in Punta Cana. I live in the Dominican Republic so I visit resorts 2-3 times a year. This is to me one of the best hotels in the country. The food and drinks are great, the property is beautiful and located in one of the most beautiful beaches but the best is the service you get from the personnel they treated us like a royalty. 100% recommend. Various restaurants, and pools with different moods and music, kids and adults activities, all you need for the best vacations.

Purchased the top tier legendary residence membership because they were AMAZING!! The customer service was held at the highest standard. The food offered was definitely 5 star. Their shops are great.. dropped over a grand because the staff was like a personal shopper and who doesn't love that?! The 4 room villa is GORGEOUS!!!! The gym and spa are both amazing!! Cannot wait to go to the riviera maya location with our 3 sons next!! You cannot go wrong staying here!! Book the trip!!!!!!!

Nice large rooms, great beach, great serving staff BUT most all of the things they list for you to do you have to pay extra for. Teenage club is closed and only included activities are beach volleyball, 2 pool tables and mini golf for those under 12. It is very big and lots of people and hard to get restaurant reservations except for the one with buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

  • 5/5 Anthony C. 2 years ago on Google
One of the best times I have had in my 50 trips around the sun. The room was very clean and large. Hot tub worked great! Room service is pretty quick. Lots to do without ever leaving the property. Food selection is great. I particularly liked the Mexican restaurant! Pretty damn good tacos!!!! I think my favorite feature of such a large property is the "train" aka multi seat golf carts that run the whole property! They make such a big place small. I could go on and on! Awesomeness!

I had my honeymoon here and it was perfect! I loved the all inclusive restaurants, how attentive the bartenders were, and how amazing the weather was. The pools were clean and the beach was straight out of a magazine. Super thankful for my time here. The staff were amicable, professional, and a lot of fun! I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone interested.

In comparison to many of the reviews. I really enjoyed my stay but I guess its because I went during non-peak time. Check in and Check out was smooth as well as our transportation from and to the airport. Housekeeping came every day and the staff was also very helpful. Food was good and so were the drinks. Overall had a great time and cant wait to come back with my family.

I would've given 5 stars, had it not been for the Legendary club, lack in communication, and not being able to have dinner in the restaurants. The resort is absolutely beautiful and ginormous. The staff is amazing, If they speak English. If they don't, it's not very easy to do anything. Beach Towels are not easy to come by. The legendary club made our experience difficult and frustrating at the start. Once we took care of that, things were smooth. The room was stunning. The food was good in the Market place. However, if you'd like to make reservations good luck. We never got a chance to eat at the restaurants we wanted, because of the language barrier. Concierge and reservations would have us is walking back and forth without a solution or answer. We wasted more time trying to get or find someone to help then relaxing.

Location and beach is great. Only about a 20 minute drive from Punta Cana intl. The staff always do their best to assist guests. They work so hard. Entertainment at this resort is fantastic a much higher quality than other resorts. Entertainment staff are a lot of fun. Food is pretty good especially for a large scale resort. You have to pay attention to which restaurants are open on which day for lunch and dinner. Lots of pools, lots of bar. Love the food truck they have at the beach. Definitely returning again in the summer. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Bathrooms are spacious as well with double sinks and large shower.

The resort grounds are beautiful. The pools are great. They have pools located all over and cater to different groups. 2 kids areas, 2 large party pools, etc. Food overall is satisfying. The negatives are the staff and services. My previous visit had wonderful service. This time it was hard to get a drink by the pool. Staff wasn't friendly. Shout out to Javier at Toro, the bartender, Angela was great in the ice cream shop. The room cleanliness went down, our hot tub was so dirty and didn't work. For 4 days straight we had to keep getting new room keys, each day they stopped working. I hope they can get back to what they once where. Every couple we met said the same, all had been there before but every year it gets worse. Also, paying over $300 for a massage is crazy, bring back resort credit for people not just VIPs

Absolutely gorgeous here. Ugh it's a dream and I met a celebrity whom was staying at the same time I was!! Service is impeccable, drinks and food is so good, rooms are gorgeous, the entire resort is beautiful and fun! Beautiful beach, clean, sanitary, helpful and friendly staff. The little lizards that climbed the walls were adorable. Heat was amazing too oh my lord. The ac in the rooms worked amazing. Clean water though they advised not to drink it. Perfect for showering of course. Live shows every night were amazing. I loved this place and would go back in a heart beat!! Side tours like on the ocean, out into town, etc is beautiful.

I didn't stay the night but was there with a day pass from "Legendary" (time share scam I fell for). The resort looked really nice and was very big. I would have added more greenery but that's just me. Their open bar drinks were OK, some were hit and miss, other resorts did drinks better. Presentation, size and taste could have been better. Staff was not super respectful and didn't know common drinks. The food at the buffets were warm but not hot and sometimes was sitting out too long. Better food than other resorts but still but to the quality as the US. I didn't go to the restaurants were you have to pay extra. Beach was good, pools were good, towels were hard to find. I LOVED that the buildings had AC, it was SO nice. Cool memorabilia on the walls.

The property itself is gorgeous, the restaurants are amazing, and the beaches are unreal. Unfortunately… the service level just isn’t there. We were here for a conference and unfortunately multiple co-workers had similar issues. However, on our first day alone… multiple ac calls where they promised it was fixed. Bellman taking 2.5 hours to deliver bags. Security guards at the gate without up to date guest lists and denying you admission to name At least I wasn’t my co-worker that had toilet water gushing into his bathroom from the bathroom on the floor above him… and then just being told that all way fine after they dried the water. Surprise, it happened to him again an hour later….

Overall, I think this hotel was a good experience. We had a lot of fun and it was a very memorable week at the Hard Rock! Pros: the beach is the most beautiful beach we've ever been to, the pools are very nice, the casino is a lot of fun if you enjoy gambling, the employees are kind, the hotel rooms are very nice and updated Cons: waiting for the carts is a little inconvenient, the food during the whole week did not impress me at all (at times we felt sick from it).

  • 2/5 Brian Scott D. 10 months ago on Google
Worst experience I have had. Hardly can get any food and they are always out of something. Basically hot dogs and hamburgers is what you get outside for the day. They don’t care either about it. So many times out of food and basically you eat and drink they choose. We paid all inclusive for the experience and not having to run around town to get food and thing’s constantly. So many guest explained that this place has went down hill since Covid and never recovered. All of this could have been explained before the trip and we would have never spent the money we did for this. Elevators go down constantly. The alarm in one of the buildings was going off for 2 days. Can’t relax on the beach either, need reservations for a cabana that is empty so then out on the chairs and non stop the entire day vendors bothered us so much. Never seeing another dime from us, they don’t care anyway. This all in 2 days. Can’t wait to see what’s in store the next 48 hours. Avoid Hard Rock Punta Cana. Experience: 2 star and that’s being generous.
