Cigar hunting in Punta Cana? They sell the real deal Cubans, everyone else sells fakes. Buy 10 cigars min & ask them to box/seal them, don’t forget to buy some to smoke on your trip. Tip the guy that packages them & your guide. Their house cigars are very nice too. We bought a couple chocolate bars and couple small souvenirs. Free transport back to our hotel, no pressure. **Addressing other bad reviews: Spreading money around the island is a good thing for these people. I went with my gut and dropped $500.00 on cigars, I would still check the sticks you are buying. After leaving, I read some bad reviews calling this place a tourist trap, or saying they are selling bad product. I wanted to address this with photos, explanations. 1. Tourist trap? Punta Cana IS a tourist trap, these guys sell every souvenir you can get in that area for the reasonable prices, the difference is there is ZERO pressure and they are very professional. You don’t have to buy the other stuff, if you want cigars buy them, be kind and see the rest of their offerings and move on. 2. Sub Par Product, cigars cracking etc: If you buy cigars realize they aren’t supposed to be out of the humidor for very long. Also understand that you can’t let them get banged around. Let them box your cigars, put them in your humidor once home. 3. The cigars are too expensive… Their prices are on par with other sources for the US market. 4. Fake Factory? This was a weird one, they have cigar rollers there to show you the process. They aren’t going to be making cigars at all hours of the day. They make small batches of hand rolled cigars. You won’t always catch them in the middle of production. Enjoy your trip, be safe and have fun. Tip the people who make your trip nice.

This was a great surprise. We ended up with a "free" tour. Really was a lot of great information. We spent too much on souvenirs here. Going some similar jewelry for less elsewhere, but I think we were all thrilled with everything regardless. The tour itself made it worth it. Tasting of chocolate, tea, hot chocolate, cigars and of several kinds of rum. You just can't go wrong! Definitely worth the trip!

Amazing visit. It is a little touristy. But if you take time to enjoy a good cigar while there and talk to the bar man, you will learn a ton!if you are nice, they may let you roll your own cigar.

Interesting Factory Stores Outlet My wife and I were taken to Don Lucas by our Coming2 tour as part of our Punta Cana vacations back in Jan 2023. We managed to step into all of these 5 shops (Azul del Mar, the cigar live factory, Kokoa, Oliver Ron, and the coffee shop), and especially the main souvenir shop. All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. My wife was intrigued by the precious stones so much so that she bought a bunch of earrings. First time (in my life) that I tried smoking an authentic cigar made exclusively for me by the friendly staff lady. The 4 dudes at the Kokoa shop made us feel welcome, providing us with many tastes of unique chocolate samples. Bought quite a bit of chocolate bars and cocoa products. The only drawback were the souvenirs at the main shop; very pricey. Still I highly recommend coming here to experience that wonderful Dominican welcoming hospitality!

We visited here while on a tour with punta cana Mike's Dominican adventure. Really relaxed atmosphere were we could see how the chocolate was processed and had the chance to roll a cigar and chat with the staff I've got to admit the rum tasting was my favourite part of the tour. Good for all ages

Don Lucas is the place to go if you want coffee, cigars, chocolate, and a big dose of Dominican hospitality courtesy of Jose and his hard-working crew. You'll get a chance to try some rum, smoke a fresh cigar, taste some amazing chocolate, and drink freshly picked coffee. This two hour tour is totally worth your time.

Love this place and Pepe who will take you around to all the shops. We come back each time we visit. There’s a large selection of Larimar jewelry compared to hotel and mall stores around the city. Also with quite a large selection of gold instead of silver which is unusual. Great quality rums, cigars, local chocolates made on site. Free shuttle service arranged online with local taxi services. They are very responsive on Google chat and flexible with scheduling. Defiantly a nice experience of local products all in one place. They continue to grow each year.

Hand made cigars open to the public (I’ve never tried one but definitely satisfying finding out how they’re made). Nice bar and smoking room(ish). Very Cool gift spot with a variety of things from gifts to beauty products and funny looking monkeys made with dried coconut. Overall, this is a stop worth making.

Great tour tour to take in Punta Cana, it was a four part tour but cigars were a highlight. We saw the process of rolling, pressing and finishing, and sampled cigars by taste. Their humidor has a great selection to take home as well. Definitely a cool half day tour!

I thought this experience was very interesting. I was leary about leaving the resort; however, I felt very safe whole there.

Had an excellent time and treated like royalty by Jose the cigar shop manager. He my wife and I feel like family. Excellent cigars. I bought a box of Fuentes Opus X cigars and Oliver Presidential Rum. We literally could have spent all day here. Cool vibe around the whole place and smoking cigars is welcomed everywhere. Like cigar heaven!!

Agree on the tourist vibes BUT we expected that going in and really enjoyed ourselves. Meeting the cigar rollers and learning about the process was super cool. My partner was offered and smoked 2 free cigars while we were there. Prices and selection in the cigar shop were good and our “host” Pepe was super helpful in pointing us to what we preferred. The rum tasting was what I was looking forward to. Tasting shots are small but I found a gift sampler pack for a great price. After we spent a bit in the rum shop and gave a tip, we got a few extra tastes ;) The biggest ripoff was the snack stand outside the chocolate shop. Two presidente beers cost $16 US and he didn’t tell us the price until they were opened. The stand did have chips and sodas but be warned that the price may be high. Overall very happy with our experience. I felt bad for the people that shared our van thinking they were going to a shopping district but that is on the receptionist .

This place is for real cigar culture enthusiasts. You get everything you need to pair with a cigar. Wether it’s chocolate tasting, coffee tasting, and even rum tasting, you will enjoy either one with a great cigar. I could spend the whole day here! I also had a fabulous 30 minute talk with a blender by the name of Jose Noble. They offer his cigars here as well. Jose was very knowledgeable and took a lot of pride into his cigars. I bought one and highly recommend them. 10/10

I really enjoy this place, have been a few times now. Nice little quick cigar tour. Great gift shop and Cigar shop. Rum bar is also very good. Most Hotels will set up free transportation for you, its a good way to kill a few hours in a day. They also have chocolate and coffee for you to check out. Safe spot they only let tourists in from what we were told. Well worth the stop!

We had a great time shopping here, they had a few different buildings selling different products, there was Cocao, and fresh made chocolate, another building for cigars where you could watch them making the cigars. There was a lovely jewelry store with silver jewelry and native stones from the area, a souvenir shop, and of course rum. My favorite was the rum with caramel, took home a bottle that had cinnamon and chili peppers added to it, my son enjoyed that.

Well worth the visit, More than just cigars…. also chocolate, coffee, gifts and Rum….the entire staff are friendly and helpful. I was treated to 2 cigars and a few samples of rum during my visit. Pepe introduced me to Dominican Rum and was full of knowledge, he made our visit… The cigars were on par with any Cuban I have smoked. Transportation was free which was provided by Don Lucas. Jim… from Canada

Great free tour and learning about cigar making in Dominican. Free sample cigars while you visited the Rum area and sampled many(many!) Different kids and aged rums made on site. They also had on site coffee and chocolate shops as well. The fun was the free shuttle pick up and return. Our driver's nick name was ChuChi and he was so full of energy, even the shuttle was a great experience.

It is okay. Free shuttle to it from our hotel and back. Was supposed to talk about coffee roasting and chocolate making did not have this going on. Provided samples. Cigar making was neat to see. Did not offer rum tasting like it said it would.

It was a nice quick tour. They have a chocolate, cigar, and liquor store within the compound. There's a tour guide that explained a little bit for each of products. It was a nice cheap way to kill some time. Our transportation there was free and there was no charge for the tour. A nice place to buy souvenirs.

Our tour guide José was wonderful and friendly much like all of the locals that we encountered on our trip. I bought the Don Lucas bellicoso sampler (5 pack) and just had my first one back home. The cigar was as great as the tour! I also bought a few cigars from other brands as there is a very spacious humidor upstairs featuring not only Don Lucas but many other popular brands. Highly recommended and thank you José for a great tour!

This is a nice spot to visit and buy cigars. I have read a couple of post and they stated the cigars were horrible. I smoke cigars on regular basis all brands. I must say I totally disagree, the cigars I purchased were very good quality and had a very good flavor profile. If I had to compare it to another brand I would say somewhat like Ashton type quality referring to the HS series. Will return in the future!

Our guide -- Rafael -- was excellent and answered all of our questions! HE WAS FIVE STARS! I gave 4 stars for the rest of the experience. Plan to spend <2 hours here. Free transport to/from Bavaro area was included and the company quickly responded to our email to set this up, which I appreciate. I have no prior knowledge of the cigar making experience and I learned so much interesting information. The other part of our group knew more about cigars and enjoyed this tour thoroughly. It is legitimately a tour, where you will see and sample the entire process. We loved going in the humidors and smelling the scents. Nearly all of the tour is immersive and the workers were very friendly. They sell a variety of cigars -- including Cubans -- and Rafael helped our group pick out souvenirs. The rest of the "tour" of the complex includes being guided (you cannot wander on your own) through a jewelry area, a skincare area, a coffee + chocolate area, and finally a rum area. For all of these other areas we had a different tour guide who we did not gel with. Everything was very rushed. Our group was also excited to sample and hear about the local rums, but we were only given a sample of 4 (though many others were available for purchase) with no backstory. It felt very commercial and lame. I would have bought rum, but there was also only 1 size of the bottles so I did not want to commit to something I had not tasted. If nothing else, go to see/learn about the cigars! You could do without the rest.

Great place to learn about Dominican products and buy local goods for you and your friends and family. Amazing quality and prices. Only original products, no knock-offs. Highly recommended!

As a courtesy with Delta Vacation, the tour guide offered a souvenir tour free of charge. I was able to add to my hat destination collection. They had several different brands of alcohol that I've only seen at this location out of my four times that I've visited the DR.

Excellent place to do business. My spouse and I were we on vacation and I asked the drivers we hired to transport us where was a great place for cigars and possibly a sip of rum and he immediately said Don Lucas. We did the cigar tour as well as the rum and chocolate. I purchased several cigars and a bottle of Black rum. My spouse doesn't smoke but she enjoyed everything immensely.

Had such a good time!! The ride was free from Secrets RB. The prices were a bit higher than mail order, but who cares, it's a vacation Right!! Found Habana Cohibas, so there's that! Chocolate, Cigars, coffee, and rum.

Great place to visit if you are staying in Punta Cana. You are presented with a complimentary cigar upon your arrival, given a nice tour of the facility, and you finish with a rum tasting session. Everything is here: full gift shop, coffee, jewelry, rum bar, cigar room, and chocolate room. They also provide complimentary transportation to and from the the lication. I highly recommend.
