So many fake reviews. This is NOT a 5 star hotel. Room: A/C didn't work for half the stay and when it did it was weak. Little ants and crawling bugs everywhere. Rust and calcium buildup on bathroom floors and fixtures. Fixtures are falling out of walls. Pullout sofa bed is incredibly uncomfortable. Food: The food at the buffet is cold and difficult to eat. There's not much for options at the kids section. My son ate hamburgers and bread for a week and a half cause of poor selection. We were usually done our meals before offered a beverage to enjoy with it. The restaurants were better cause the meal was prepared individually and was warm. Circus restaurant smelled horrible and was difficult to even eat, smelled like barf! Beach: get there early if you want a spot. Pools: VERY SLIPPERY! Several people and kids were slipping and hitting head on tiles. Adults are not permitted on slides with their children. Arcade: most games are out of order or damaged. With all the negatives, the grounds were actually beautiful and kept clean. The employees however very polite and friendly My family has no interest in returning to this resort!

I have stayed on this resort for 6 days and leaving tomorrow. It was a wonderful trip, with lots of great people and staff. I would like to point out one staff member in particular who went above and beyond every time. Lobby bartender SAMUEL deserves extra recognition for hard work , warm welcoming , efficiency, and accuracy. Over 6 days has have many great conversations and great drinks!! My son also like getting his drinks from Samuel. I would like to point out he also knows his guest by name which is extremely impressive. But in all all the bar staff are super stars! Thxs for great vacation!!

The Fantasia resort is beautiful. It is very child friendly. The beach usually has rough waters. There are a variety of swimming pools to use and enjoy. Fantasia has nice and engaging entertainment daily. The food is good. The cooks are always very willing to make any special dish made to your specifications. Although this an all-inclusive resort, I encourage you to start tipping the staff you interact with beginning from when you arrive. They won't forget your hospitality and will treat you like V.I.P. for the rest of your stay.

We stayed at the hotel 6 nights. Entertainment is excellent. Every day and night there is a different activities and good for kids and adults. Light show is amazing. The pool is clean and room is very clean and they clean it every day. But service is horrible. We waited two hours just to get our room at front desk and long queues and they barely speak in English. There is one sometimes two person at front desk all the the time which is definitely is not enough. So our vacation was destroyed at the beginning. Service at the buffet and most of the restaurants are terrible. Good luck just to get coffees or juice or any other drinks. You have to tell four times to get something. Few times we didn’t get any drinks at all. Hindu, buffet and garden circus, Italian restaurant service was worst and nobody cares. After speaking with manager at the buffet service is really improved in last two days. But the service at the Japanese restaurant is good. It is difficult to get reservations at the restaurants because it is full all the time. Buffet food is not always fresh and foods are OK. I think hotel has bad management especially at the restaurant/ front desk service. I discouraged my friends buying this hotel and recommended other hotel. Overall experience was 7/10. I rated four star because they improved service last two days of our stay. Because of the service I won’t come here again

What a disappointment. First of all we were treated different for being a large group. I tried reserving restaurants and was not able to because of the amount of people on my reservation. I spoke with guest services the same day I arrived and was only able to reserve one restaurant. They told me that they needed to email on the other two I had inquire about because of how large our group was. At last they were not able to reserve the restaurant I wanted and we were running around last minute trying to figure out what restaurant they decided on. one of the bedroom's AC was broken and they continue to send someone to fix it and never did, never changed our room to another so we had no AC for 3 days. The second room we were locked out of because the battery on the door died and we waited for someone to help for over 2 hours. My entire time at Bahia was a disaster I spent more time trying to fix issues than actually having fun. For the issues we have we were offer 3 free Spa massages for 25 min. How poor is that???? least to say they charged us for the 3 free spa at the front desk which I had to also tell them about. The only Good thing about the resort is the people that work at the restaurants they are very friendly. Ana at the larimar restaurant was super friendly and Gavilin at the front desk was very helpful. For the money we paid for the stay it was not worth it at all. I will not be returning to this resort ever again.

DR has gone so down hill. The food is the worst I have ever seen you simply eat it cause you have to. The staff have zero personality, cold and almost passive aggressive ? I tried tipping some bartenders as a test to see if that would change things, nope ! Snagged the money gave me a head nod with no smile and walked away. The hallways are long and house hundreds of rooms so if you think your going to have peace and quiet to sleep dream on... Shows end at 11 and everyone rolls in... Disco closes at 3 and casino at 4 and they roll in wasted waking everyone in your room up. Highly suggest not booking a vacation here.

Beautiful resort. Only complaint was the rooms. They didn't get cool enough, and had to ask for towels and other items to be replaced because housekeeping did not do it when they cleaned. Food was great, and entertainment crew was top notch. I wanna give a special shout out to Carlos and Francis. Those two went above and beyond and made our stay even more enjoyable. We all looked forward to finding them throughout the resort and talking to them every single day. Really going to miss those guys. Juan at the pool bar was also wonderful. Always made the best drinks and greeted us with a smile. The butlers and everyone else were super nice as well, especially Breilin.

Decided to take my two young boys here as a last minute decision and I am so glad we did. We did a split stay at another resort so only spend 3 days enjoying the property. So glad we did. The kids loved the pool and water park. They loved that they could get smoothies all day long. Food was good. Only did buffets and Italian. We had a castle view and we enjoyed watching the show each night from our balcony. I will say that the hotel doesn’t have elevators, so be aware if traveling with little ones. We were on the 3rd floor, so it was a bit of a hike each day to go up and down with a 2 year old. We did go to the beach one morning but the water was too rough for us to go in. I also didn’t care for vendors coming up to me the whole time I was there. Wish they had only let them on one area of the beach. Definitely worth trying out if you have kids and just want to relax.

⭐️ One Star Review ⭐️ My recent experience at this establishment leaves much to be desired. From the front desk staff, ranging from management to employees, there's a clear need for retraining. Their rudeness and the way they treated us, as if we were begging for lodging, were utterly disappointing. The rooms, unfortunately, were a nightmare. Not only were they dirty, but they were infested with roaches. To add to the discomfort, there was a complete lack of shower gel, and we had to make do with just 3 towels for 4 people. The linens were in terrible shape, with rips and an unpleasant sour odor that permeated the room. Shockingly, none of the air conditioners in the room were functional, which made our stay incredibly uncomfortable. This, without a doubt, is one of the primary reasons I would never consider returning or recommending this place. Furthermore, the quality of drinks at the pool bar was subpar, and it was painfully noticeable. However, on a positive note, the bar in the entertainment area deserves commendation. The entertainment team does a fantastic job of keeping guests engaged and entertained, making you want to stay out of your room. In summary, my stay here was far from satisfactory, marred by poor service, unclean rooms, and maintenance issues. The only redeeming factor was the entertainment area; otherwise, it was a nightmarish experience. Despite the shortcomings, it's important to acknowledge that the waiter staff at this establishment shines brightly in all areas. Their excellent service and dedication provide a glimmer of positivity in an otherwise challenging experience.

I booked this resort a few months in advance and was excited for the trip as it was our second time to PC. A few weeks prior to our trip I reached out to the resort directly because we needed to book an additional room and had some questions regarding the accessibility for my dad. The hotel would not help and directed me to the Bahia website for further assistance. I then reached out to the reservations email several times asking for help with no response. When we arrived my father was not able to walk any further due to his health and the agent at check in told him to sit down until we were finished. Without any offer for transportation help to his room we managed to make it to the room with the concierge help. Once we were at the stairs I asked the concierge if there was an elevator because my dad could not make it up the stairs and we were told there was not and he had to climb the stairs. At this point my dad began to cry because it was too much. I asked the gentleman if my dad could switch his room to the first floor and after making a call to the front we were told it was all sold out and they were unable to accommodate him. We were stuck. It was not and is not clear when booking that this property had NO ELEVATORS. I truly would have gone elsewhere if it were clear that this property is not good for the handicap or mobile impaired. We were able to get him up to his room only to discover that the ceiling above him was leaking and there was a bucket in his room to collect the water….. Concierge was able to get my dad into a first floor unit the next day but the gentleman that helped us told us that they knew my dad was impaired and they purposely chose to make things difficult. That was our start to vacation. I had purposely brought with me extra cash for tips to the staff knowing service is better when you treat people well… there was one particular bartender my family tipped generously because he was beyond kind to us but half way through our vacation I was approached by him and asked for several hundred dollars so he could pay his house payments for the next several months because the company (Bahia-Principe) did not treat or pay employees well. I was completely shocked and embarrassed by this and spent the rest of the week trying to avoid this employee. Finally, we booked a reservation at one of the restaurants on site and, admittedly, Spanish is not our native language but we know enough to have small conversations and be able to communicate as best we can but when we arrived for dinner the waiter spoke in Spanish and when we replied in Spanish he began laughing at us and asked why we would come to the Dominican Republic if we didn’t know the language. The other items to note is that this property is not on the beach. There is a nice pool but if you came for the beach, this is not it. Also, although it is all inclusive the buffet offered is literally the same every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You have the option of booking at one of their on site restaurants but the food was stale and gross everywhere. I did reach out to the corporate office before writing this review and was told they would pass on my complaint to the property. The trip was a difficult one for our family and a waste of money. Their website is not accurate with information. Just be aware of that before booking. There are a lot of excellent properties and options in PC but this not one of them.

Perfect resort for kids. Lots of entertainment for them day and night. Amazing shows every evening. Great staff at the Kids Club, they are so loving and caring. The kids asked to go there every day, lots of fun activities provided for the kids. Great food at the buffet, something to eat for big and small. Our favourite restaurant was the Brazilian one, definitely a 5 star. Can’t recommend this resort enough!

I have never been to a place more beautiful, enchanting, and family-friendly, as on this vacation resort. The all-inclusive package lived up to expectation. The location is breathtaking. Service was top-notch. Your key to your room was your arm band, everything and anything you want to eat or drink is available. Customized golf cats take you around and to the scenic beach if you don't want to walk. I highly recommend this for family friends and couples with kids to visit this magical place. Oh, the staff and customer service are warm cordial and unique on it own. At the reception, look for Jarlin. He is your man. This guy should win employee of the year forever. He, with this other guy whose name I forgot who brings drinks and other necessities to the room. They bend over backward just to make us happy. I will go back again and again. This place gets the Golden buzzer for me.

At first it's a lovely all inclusive resort. However watch out for the food, we took max precautions eating very conservatively and properly cooked food, yet we fell sick to stomach bug, the beach was full of weed , so was the water. Pro tip see the map of the property show's all the stops via internal free transportation, also list all restaurants, plan your trip in advance. Service is good and the people are awesome, I'd never visit any other Bahia resort.

The complex is huge and offers a lot to do when you leave Fantasia to visit other neighbouring Bahia resorts. The pools and water park are great and well loved by our kids (3 & 6). Staff have been very friendly and helpful. There’s always some type of activity going on! The beach is a downside but to no fault of the staff. It’s very rough water and not really swimable. The food at the restaurants has been very good and nice to get an earlier meal option since the buffet doesn’t open until 6:30pm (late for our kids). Overall we had a great time on our family holiday and would recommend to his family resort.

Excellent place to stay for family with kids. We went there with group of 34 people. Hotel management is really helpful and they have excellent customer service. Manager of the resort Mr. Angel helped us really well, With most of us being vegetarian , His team and chef Siddhartha gave us excellent service and Flavorful Indian food that we were missing during the trip. We would recommend the resort and specially chef Siddhartha’s flavorful food for all the families who love Indian food.

I stayed here at Bahia Principe Fantasia a few years ago and it’s easily on my top 5 favorites! Everything is beautiful from the moment you enter the gates to the day you leave. The bright white architecture and the grand size of everything makes you feel like your in paradise. With the castle in the middle of the resort and the pool surrounding it.The location is great with a beautiful beach and blue water. Also nearby the Punta Cana Airport. The rooms are a big highlight, they are massive, stunning, clean, and neat. Well done by the housekeeping crew. The staff and service was great, but they didn’t explain all the of the features of the resort when we arrived. Such as activities, events, and what opportunities they offer. The food, restaurants, and bars were great. Fantasia is amazing for the kids, family, friends and couples. It’s a real fantasy here!

Overall great experience for the kids. Rooms are ample, clean and spacious. Came with the two grandmas, kids and wife. Good shows at night and the food is good. Had a little issue with the rooms but it was promptly resolved. Staff is polite and attentive. Depending on where you are located access to the beach is closer or farther, however this is resolved by taking a little cart (train) that takes you to/from the beach. My only complaint is that I couldn’t make a reservation at the Fish Market (reservation required) restaurant. Overall great experience. Would I come back ? Yes. Thanks.

Great hotel for kids so much entertainment. The staff was very friendly. Carolina in the fantasia beach buffet is so friendly and nice. They gave excellent service. Disney was very welcoming when we checked in. And Polina also made sure our room was cleaned very well. Shout out to the person who made us a pineapple and coconut drink everyday at the pool forgot his name started with a D. Overall amazing hotel for kids never a dull moment. Great food Mexican and Greek were the favourites.

I travel with my family twice a year. This resort is amazing, I would say the best for the last five years. Great location, staff very helpful and friendly. Restaurants the best I experienced with any kind of variation and combination of foods. For families with small kids ideal, for families with teens or just adults may be little bored cause theater entertainment mostly for small kids. Enjoy!!!

We have just arrived from a 7-day stay at this wonderful hotel. We were staying with our 9-month old baby and I can say that we enjoyed everything. Whatever you ask the staff for, they will try to accommodate momentarily. It feels like you are the only guest, vip guest. The show for Christmas was fascinating, the holiday was fantastic and next day all kids got presents, good ones. We wanted a fairytale and we got it. The stay is worth every penny spent. And everyone really cares. Guests from room 99145.

We had a great time as a family of 4 with a 4 year old and a 1 year old in October. Rooms were really clean Buffet was excellent Would highly recommend the Paradiso Italian restaurant Beach was clean and spots available. Everything was within walking distance or a short ride on the resort transport. Services were exceptional, everyone was friendly, kind and gracious. Entertainment was on point, with plenty of activities for kids to enjoy and more importantly tire them out. Really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely consider coming back again!

My uncle got married we had a 25 to 30 group event. The entire group in about 4 to 5 days it’s very kid friendly very adult friendly every night. There’s something to do I highly recommend if you’re looking for a great family vacation this is the place to be. Rosa and Francis we’re amazing they made sure room had amenities every night. They made sure the kids had fun in the pool every day and most of all listen and act immediately.

We had a fantastic trip, the staff were incredibly friendly, the location was perfect. The bar service was top quality, and Samuel is the best barman since Tom Cruise in Cocktail. An amazing experience, we would come back without a doubt. The shows and kids activities were great, our little ones had the best time. Highly recommended!

I went there in April 2022 with a group of friends. I always love going to Punta Cana-it’s beautiful and I always have a blast! This was my second time staying at the Bahia Principe and it was great. I wanted to give a special shout-out to Kevin, who works really hard at the beach bar and serves drinks all the day in the hot sun, at the Bahia Principe, Esmeralda section. He was always so kind and really friendly, yet professional. He definitely made my experience more personable and I really enjoyed my time on the beach more cause of him. Excellent job and service Kevin!

Disappointed from the very beginning, I arrived at the ho at 2:45 pm for a 3:00 pm check in time. The front desk advised me to go ahead and eat at the buffet before it closes at 3:00. They told us the room should be ready in 45 minutes, my husband, son (22 months old) and I explored the resort for a few then came back to which they told us it would be another 20 to 30 minutes, at this point it was almost 4 pm. My child had to sleep in the loddy for his nap which was very hot, by the time we checked into our room it was 4:50 pm. We got to the room & noticed after a while that it was very hot, we figured, maybe we just need to shower to cool off. Well that wasn’t the case. We called 3 times that day (concierge) to have someone come look at the thermostat. Each time they said “ someone will come shortly “ no one ended up coming. The room service menu did not have a good selection. My husband ordered a well done burger and when it arrived the fries were cold at the burger was very pink. This happened every time I even ordered ham and cheese, I asked them to make it warm / toasted for me and only the bread was toasted. The room itself it not always clean, there were stains on the bed sheet and pillow cases. It felt very itchy. On top of it being extremely hot. I called for 3 days to have someone fix the AC and nothing. I am 22 weeks pregnant and had a 22 month old with me who was so uncomfortable. I was there to attend a wedding which we weren’t able to attend because there was no AC. Sunday morning we went to sit by the pool and a woman came up to us and asked how everything was and we expressed our frustrations and took down our room number and said she was going to go to our room and check the AC with the technician. When we got back to our room it finally felt cool after not having AC for 4 days. As for the food in the buffet nothing looked appealing, there were a lot of flies in the food. A lot of the pasta and rice had a foul smell, most of the meat were pink. By the kids area there was pizza available to be made, the guy did not have gloves on, he was grabbing different meats at the same time as wiping his sweat or touching his hat. A lot of garbage under the chairs by the kids area, wet napkins and food on the floor. This was my family’s first time traveling to an all inclusive resort and the experience was horrible. I would not travel here again and don’t feel like this was worth the money I spent for a week.

This was our first time at the hotel and I guarantee I will be returning. There is so much to do for kids and the shows are just as entertaining for adults. There was a wide variety of food and the A La cartes were amazing! The staff was the best I have every seen they would all stop and speak to my baby and were very caring. Osvaldo was amazing at getting families involved around the pool and gave amazing attention to each and everyone. He was very welcoming and great at doing the activities around the pool such as aerobics, dance, yoga and so much more !

We had an amazing week with our kids! Everything was perfect! We loved the pool, waterpark, kids club, the nights shows, the entertainment is great! The staff is always so polite and friendly! A special thank you and mention for Jorge No1 at the entertainment! He was very friendly and we had a very good time thanks to him and his colleagues. Also everything is always clean! Thank you and we will come again for sure!

We were in fantasia last week it was nice experience..the staff members were very friendly and nice people. My 9 and 7 years boys were enjoying the pool and splash park but other than as a kids friendly resort it wasn't any exciting program for children. The food was good enough. But I think the buffet was small for that many people..for breakfast it was only just one toaster and people should line up for it in that small place.. These reviews is just because the resort becomes better.. Other than these things we enjoyed our time in beach and water park.. LEIDY،HUMBERTO, are staff in the snack bar they were very nice to my children.. Jose in the dining was very good.. Andres in réception was a good man.

The hotel has a very nice with the castles everywhere you look. The aesthetic is 5 stars. However, some of the food and entertainment is not 5 stars. A lot of the food is very good, but some of it could have been a lot better. The entertainment is just people dancing around the pool, the teens club which has a pool table, air hockey, a cinema room, and a Playstation 4. There is a kids club too but I don’t know what that’s like. The hotel just needs a few more activities going on and then it would be worth 5 stars.

Amazing resort! Super kid friendly. The staff, especially Luis in entertainment, is phenomenal, super friendly and made our trip super fun! Water park is super fun and they have a bar for kids to order all they want. Would 110% recommend this resort, never a boring moment, always an activity happening! Food is very good, beach is so so nice, zero seaweed and no rocks just buttery sand! Thank you for an amazing time Fantasia Team!!

It was our second trip to Fantasia Punta Cana in 2 years and it was amazing! The resort is beautiful and we had an amazing time. The moment we arrived we felt like we were home Sarah from the Privilege Club was very professional and brought us in very quickly and answered all our questions transport was very good efficient. Buffers were delicious with a lot of variety. The best restaurant in the resort was Le Gourmet. Special thanks for Yesenia from the Esmeralda Beach she was above and beyond with her service very kind always smiling very caring and she needs to be a role model for everyone 👍👍 we highly recommend the resort for families with kids we will be coming back in the future for sure!

This was our second time at Bahia Fantasia Principe. We chose this hotel because we have two babies and know that here we will get everything- cribs, kid’s menu, bottled water, entertainments and presents for kids. Like last year, Ignacio met us at the front desk and immediately remembered our names. One year later. Amazing! He helped us get the same room as last year, book dinners and accommodated all our requests. Thank you so much for making us feel at home. The animators were super fun. Our little one didn’t want to leave the party. Unlike last year restaurant Le Gourmet did great, including food, service and face painting for kids. We look forward to seeing you, guys, next Christmas

First time family vacation here and I think it’s a Great family hotel. We traveled with our 3 children in which are under the age of 5. When asked for extra bottles of water for the baby’s formula milk, Ramon the butler did not hesitate to help. He was there every day with extra bottles of water and always left extra snacks for my other two kids. I really appreciate the small details of helping me and making our stay very welcomed! Thank you Ramon , muchas gracias ☺️

Be prepared for the wait upon arrival! Their wait is miserable specially after a long flight. However, you will be met with drinks during the wait which makes it a little bit better. The room I first got had stained pillowcases, and mini fridge had not been stacked with water or anything ( it was empty) upon reporting it, they immediately came to the room and changed ALL pillowcases. I then had a problem with the mini fridge not working and at that point I requested to be moved into a different room. They were very professional, no questions asked, and made the request happen. The new room had a broken bed which I DID NOT report because changing rooms again would of been a hassle with three kids. Had I report it I’m sure they would of handled it as best as they could The service, food and entertainment were great!!! The people were amazing and very accommodating BE PREPARED TO TIP AFTER EVERY ENCOUNTER! Also, the items in the hotel are insanely overpriced ! The spa is almost $200! I’m only rating it 3 stars because although the hotel itself is amazing, I feel like the issues I mentioned above could of been prevented had they inspected the rooms prior to customer arriving.

The good: The food is very good at the a la carte restaurants, the entertainment had something for the entire family, and the grounds are landscaped beautifully. Butler service was good and reliable -- they came each night and set up a lavender diffuser in our room which helped settle everyone to bed. And we got a good deal, which is why I assume most folks are heading to this resort right now. The bad: Our room had multiple maintenance issues, similar to many of the other reviews. It was clear to me that the resort has been deferring maintenance as a way to recoup costs lost during the pandemic unfortunately; The food at the buffets is generally good... but can get redundant after a few days. Also the buffet service tended to be poor - they give each server too many tables to bus, so it takes them very long to come and take your drink order, etc.; Probably the biggest issue is the lack of transparency about what is open & what is closed due to the pandemic -- for example, if you call the US-based customer service number they are programmed to tell you that pretty much everything is open & all services are offered. We were disappointed to find out at arrival that there were no babysitting services being offered due to the pandemic even though the customer service number had twice told me that babysitting was in-fact available. We were also disappointed to find that mini golf, the playground, and the main water park were also closed to us as well. It made for a pretty redundant week with the kids.

This resort was very nice and overall very family friendly. This was our second time at this resort but, I couldn’t give it all 5 stars because our room had issues like the fridge not working a a leak due to the air conditioning in the ceiling but other then that our stay was amazing. The atmosphere was great and very relaxing. All the employees were amazing at making our stay as enjoyable as possible even during a pandemic. Me and my family are very satisfied with our vacation.

Not beachfront, they have golf carts that have to take you down there. Although you can walk it would be too much to do with kids, the drive itself is about 5 mins. And you have to wait for the golf carts to come back are either point so they can return you. The waiter/waitress service is horrible, workers don’t service the beach area, it’s self serve. Even at the pool, buffet or restaurants, it takes multiple times of you saying something to get ones attention and then you still have to wait to get your order longer than usual or they just forget about it. They only service drinks at the pool - poolside pizza and ice cream are also self serve. Their English is really bad, communication is rough and food is pretty limited, not many options and they serve same thing over and over again. We only ate at one good restaurant the entire 7 days, which was Mexican. If I had known the food and service was like this I probably would have changed my reservation. Their Covid testing at the resort was also very unorganized, we were there for 2.5 hours, people are able to book the same appointment time so when you get there you’re given a number and they pretty much attend to you by a first come first serve basis. They didn’t even have 3 dollars for refund me back. Such a hassle for a 15 min rapid test. However, they are very kid friendly, they have many kid activities in which kids can win prizes. Although, the entertainment alone is not enough for the many downsides of this property, I’ve been to Mexico and the Caribbean and prefer Mexico over this anyday. Overall cleanliness is good - resort is eye catching, and safety precautions are in place due to Covid, but service is horrible, and for an all inclusive price, you do a lot of the work yourself.

Our stay was amazing! The room was always clean, Yandira was excellent. The whole staff is so friendly and attentive. The pool is so big and my kids had a great time at the water park. We also enjoyed the shows. The food was good. I would definitely be back and recommend it to anyone.

This is a kid friendly family resort but they didn’t have a lot of options for kids when it came to the buffet área. My experience with the rooms was horrible first and foremost the mosquitoes in the bedroom and throughout the resort are insane. I literally complained everyday about it but they just got worst as the day passed. The iron, refrigerator, fan, and safe didn’t work. They only fixed the safe nothing else. There was one day when the room didn’t get cleaned because they were too busy. The restaurant’s in the hotel are not worth it. I will not come back to this resort or recommend anyone to it.

If you visited Fantasia before this year, chances are you will be very disappointed. This is our fifth time here. It used to be 5 star, now it is more like a 3 star hotel. Writing this while we are still at the hotel, and this is the first time I'm leaving review for any hotel. 1. There is an exclusive area on the beach for Fantasia only, but when you go there in the morning with your family you won't be able to find any beach chairs, those are all taken by people from sister Bahia hotels. For me it's the same as if you buy assigned tickets, just to find out someone took your seats, and you are left on your own with your kids to scramble. Signs "Fantasia exclusive" are posted everywhere, but staff does absolutely nothing to enforce it. In fact I asked the staff and was told pandemic is to blame for it, now anyone can be anywhere they want, which is not true, later that day I asked the same question at the reception and was told nobody outside of Fantasia is allowed, and I can call customer service to complain, as if they were not a part of it already. So families are the least important for Bahia. Sad but true. 2. There used to be nips at the mini bar, those are gone. Two out of five days we didn't get any mini bar service, not even water. Had to call to get it. 3. Food theme nights are gone. Don't expect to find much seafood here as it used to be also. 4. You will be lucky to see a person who serves drinks at the beach, beach service used to be good here, now it is close to 0. We understand we need to lower our expectations during pandemic and most things are in fact still good, but heavily drinking adults from sister resorts in the Fantasia exclusive beach area is way too much for us and it can't be blamed on pandemic. To make it fair, we are comparing it to what it used to be, perhaps people who visit it for the first time will be blown away.

I do not recommend it for two very important things: 1. The food, The quality of the food does not exist, it is cold, it does not taste like anything, in two different days we found two hairs in our food, the buffet looks bad, disorganized, dirty, the dishes were not washed well, most of them were dirty, the buffet area stinks and the food is bad. 2. Customer Service The employees need more empathy, and they need training, a customer who is paying for the service, it cannot be accepted that you have to be asking a waiter more than 3 times for your drinks, and that they should not be giving the drinks at the ends when we’re done eating, I passed by the side and not even an apology for not bringing the drinks. It was horrible when they passed by you with those angry faces and not a good morning , they are not decent , They are rude, we stayed 4 days and not one day they treated us well, I never return, I think they lack something like customer service training, also I saw that most of them do not speak basic English, that neither an order of drinks or food can they take in english; not in my case, because I speak Spanish, but if I saw them. We are 5, 2 adults and 3 kids, we were 4 days and 3 nights; I gave 2 stars because the pool, the water park, the bars, the room service, the cleaning, the entertainment, the hotel structure are fine all them, but the food and the customer service are bad and horrible.

We were vacationing with my wife and two children. Really, this is one of the best hotels for children! The only thing we hope is that in the future the children's club will work normally. Well, I would like to see salmon for breakfast)))

The staff are beyond amazing at Fantasia. Always a smile on their faces. I felt everyone went out of their way to assist us and overall give us a great experience. The food was great, the service as well. I don't have one bad thing to say, everything was five stars! I would highly recommend Fantasia to everyone and I will be back one day for sure!

This is a really pretty place and when they say all-inclusive, they mean it. However, the food is pretty bad, especially the buffet. All the meats were very dry. The shows in the theater are good, but the speakers were way too loud, far too loud for kids. Deafening. Overall a good time and worth the money.

This is a great resort for couples and families. Plenty of activities throughout the day. Short walk to the beach or grab a shuttle that goes by every few minutes. Plenty of options for places to eat and you can book a la carte restaurants every day. Pool has an active side and a quieter side split by a bar that serves ice cream. There is also a separate water park pool for the kids. The rooms are huge and fairly well maintained. Couple minor issues like only 1 of the 2 5v USB plugs next to the bed worked and our balcony light did not work. Staff are all super friendly and always willing to help out with whatever you need, but you will need to be patient. As with everywhere in the Caribbean there is no such thing as "now". If you are looking for a vacation that is more than just a get wasted in the sun trip, this resort is for you

Stayed here for a week in September. I am from Toronto, Canada. First time in Punta Cana, and I am so happy we chose this resort. It is beautiful, clean, great service, great food. Weather was beautiful and staff were all very nice. Everyone treated me so well. Everyone deserves a raise! Entertainment team made my vacation extra special, especially Jose & Franklin. Xoxo. We will be back soon!

The shows are hit or miss. The horrible customer service gives you a headache. The buffets are filled with flies. There is no a la carte breakfast or lunch… the Garden Circus is awful and trash. LE GOURMET has to be the worst restaurant I have ever ate at. The meat soup tastes like goat urine. Reserving a restaurant is impossible. The room service is “24/7”. That is a lie, and it is horrible. The only good part is the beach. I would recommend to never come here.

This has been my fifth trip to DR and my fifth hotel. Hands down the best food (8/10), and the restaurants are very good too. Rooms are clean but old. Customer service responds but very slow. Nice staff, they appear to genuinely enjoy working there. Beach is so so, some rooms are far away but there is a shuttle service running. Pools are nice, and they have entertainment for kids (aqua park, daycare, activities). I'd go there again.

Excellent Service! We went there with group of 34 people & chef Mr. Siddhartha gave us excellent dinner service. It was Indian food & we enjoyed a lot. Manager of the resort Mr. Samuel is also very good person, very co-operative & helpful. Staff of the resort is very nice. Overall very good experience.

The service is inefficient, they rarely have the tables ready for you. When you request a coffee or any other drink the most of the time you have to way more than 10 minutes and some time they do not come back with your drink. The beach is far away from the hotel, so if you wanna enjoy the beach I recommend booking another hotel like Esmeralda. The food is good, the buffet is small but they have to many dishes. If you enjoy a quiet place to eat always get a table outside of the buffet.

Really large resort great pool and beach, very relaxing atmosphere. Food is good although some items we found lack flavour and a bit bland. Plenty of bars and restaurants no problems getting reservations. Most staff are friendly and hard working. Few niggling issues with the room amenities not working but staff tried to sort this for us. Lack of sun loungers by pool and people reserved tnem even though you are not supposed to staff need to be strict on this as it's hard to find a space by the pool unless you get up super early.

Bahia Principe Fantasia provided us with a fantastic family-centric vacation. Nearly everything about the resort was wonderful - the service, the staff, the pools, the rooms, etc. The food was plentiful and varied, but not wonderful, so don't go there if you are looking primarily for a culinary delight. Likewise, the entertainment was disappointing a few night we were there. However, we had a wonderful vacation lounging in the sun with our kids. Highly recommend!

Very nice place for an all-inclusive. The Fantasia resort is mostly targeted towards kids with its castles, kids water park, kids zone, etc... So if you are not a big fan of kids and whatever comes with them - choose one of the others Bahia resorts here. The staff here is very friendly, accommodating and ready to help. If you need anything - it's always easy to find a staff member. Not all of them speak English though, but in this case they will bring someone who does to help you. The food is good too. The buffet food is of a good quality, but given it's hot climate and the food stays there for hours some things can go bad. My daughter had a light food poisoning after she had a prosciutto and chocolate milk for breakfast... But that was an exception. All other buffet food was fresh and tasted great. They even try to make some slight variations from day to day so people won't get tired from the same food every day. The restaurants available for the guests are just great. We visited 9 of them during our stay and loved almost all of them. Whatever we didn't like was the matter of our taste, not the quality of food or service. It's nice to change swimming outfits to something nice and go to a restaurant for dinner. Other than that - the facilities are mostly clean (there were a few napkins in the pool, but hey - there are a lot of kids who drop stuff), the room was pretty spacious, the bathroom was in a good condition, most of the times there were enough sun beds by the pool. Oh, one more thing to mention - Fantasia has its own part of the beach, so you don't have to compete with people from other resorts for a place at the beach. If that's your cup of tea - you can spend the whole day at the beach as there is a buffet and a bar right at the beach. To summarize - I'm not a big fan of all-inclusive vacations, but I can say that if we decide to have another vacation like this - it is very likely that we will come back here rather than going somewhere else. I can definitely recommend this place to families with kids who just want to relax and enjoy.

We just came back after staying for a week . We are a family of 5. All I can say is wow! This is the best resort I have ever stayed in! The food was excellent, the hotel itself is beautiful and very clean. My kids loved the entertainment. The staff is wonderful! Especially Carmen at the main lobby bar in the evening. She served us every night with such care! She memorized our favourite drinks and made my kids feel extra special for their birthday! We left a few days ago and my kids are still talking about her! I can’t say enough great things about this resort. I will definitely go back!

Our large family group only stayed a few days but everything was great! The rooms are big & clean. Plenty of bars and food options. The entertainment was fantastic, the female, nadie I think people call her was great! Very personable and remembered all the kids names. She always greeted our special needs nephew by name and he just LOVED it! Thank you, we'd definitely stay again!

Great place for kids. The slides and water park were awesome. The pool was very nice and clean. Well maintained. It was hard to find a fancy coffee as all the machine were non functional. The staff was nice. Had a lot of activities for kids. The castle was a nice view too. The walk to the ocean was not bad at all.

I have visited the Bahia Principe Fantasia in July 2022. There are several things that were great and a few things I wish the resort had. Firstly, the hotel is attached to several Bahia ones, so it’s a large complex. In fact it’s so large that likely you will not get bored. As for kid stuff, there is a nice water park and several other ones around the resort. There is a kids pool, a club and so forth. Essentially there are a lot of things to do. Food consists of buffet setups throughout the resort and a few restaurants. My suggestion is book early as the hotel was at or close to capacity. We have done the Italian restaurant along with the gourmet one. I really like both and the service was quite good to be honest. One weird thing I found is that not so many people tipped the staff, we chose to do so to show our appreciation for the services provided. Overall, staff have been really helpful and made out stay as enjoyable as possible. Here are some wishes I would appreciate. One is the ocean beach. It’s large, big and nice BUT there was a lot of seaweed washing up which made the experience less than I am used to. In comparison to other Caribbean destinations, the beaches were nicer in Cuba. Next is the rooms. They are big and nice but beware we had some bed bugs along with one or two cacroaches. In all fairness because of the nature of the resort and how open it is, this did not surprise me. Of course in terms of Caribbean climate and the amount of guests this does happen. Overall, I would bring my family back again so if you are planning a vacation and you are unsure, it’s a decent place and worth visiting. Lots of things to do and good amount of entertainment.

Great staff, lots of fun for the kids. While kids were busy doing activities, I spent a lot of time at the lobby bar.great service from the bartenders especially Samuel Mateo. He made the best drinks and gave 5 star service throughout the trip. Samuel Mateo was my go to bartender. He made other great drinks based on what other drinks I enjoyed. I recommend resort for family and the lobby bar for the adults.

We stayed here for 9 days and had a lovely time. The staff was amazing especially Gavilin from the front desk! Very helpful and attentive. He went above and beyond. Also Henri who picked us up promptly and took us back to our room safely on several occasions. The only thing that we struggled with was how quick the restaurants get booked up leaving the availability very limited. Other than that it was a great trip our family of 11 enjoyed it! Thank you Fantasia !
