My wife and I went to this hotel a week ago for anniversary celebration. It was a great experience. Our room had a great ocean view. The food was really good. But the most important part of the stay was the service personnel. It was excellent!! They treat you like they know you forever, but with respect. We had the chance to connect more with bartender Carolina and Reynaldo. More than "bartenders", they were "family" for us. Phenomenal human beings. We visited them every day of our stay because of how good they were. I would definitely be back again!!

We came here for our Honeymoon and absolutely loved it! We specifically looked for a place that offered relaxation and no kids - and excellence Punta Cana did not disappoint! We decided to do the excellence club as well and have to say that it is 100% worth the up charge - two private pools, 2 bars, upgraded room service and mini bar, and exclusive restaurant which offers a 45oz tomahawk - delicious! Plus, the staff is AMAZING! Evelyn and the rest of the entertainment staff are wonderful and did a great job altering plans when it started pouring one day. So much fun, you don’t want to miss the shows or miss queen killing it with her dance moves! Our bartender Rosangela from Ceilo is the best at pouring beer and makes a mean mudslide + she never let us go empty handed! And don’t even get me started about Joel - he comes around lunch time and will deliver food right to you poolside spot - and the burgers and pizza are *chefs kiss* and lastly, Mrs. Iris always greeted us with a welcoming smile at breakfast and came coffee in hand. Oh and we can’t forget about our martini bar friends, they are always busy but there is never a wait - their espresso martinis are also unbeatable! All that to say, the attention to detail here is unmatched and you will want for little while you are here. We did a few excursions as well and felt 100% safe and had a blast! The spa was also wonderful! Thanks to everyone at excellence Punta Cana - we’ll be back for sure!

Had a great time here with my wife. We have been to other Excellence properties before and comparing that to the others I'd rank it below average in service and friendliness but well above average with the beaches and water. I really enjoyed the waves. The Michael Jackson experience was amazing! I would highly recommend getting a spot here early when they do that show. Also, the Indian cuisine was quite delicious at the restaurant on property. Would we come back again? Probably but would like to explore other properties in their portfolio.

Booked a private pool suite for 7 nights for our honeymoon. They put a banner on the door to acknowledge our honeymoon and provided a champagne breakfast in bed and a private dinner at one of the restaurants. This hotel does a good job at entertaining its guest. The app makes planning the activities and dinner very easy. My biggest issue was the room. We paid for the private pool that unfortunately was in the shade all day and got no sun. If you book this type of room stay away from building 12. None of the pools there get sun and the water was freezing. We never used it and instead used the general pool. Would advise against splurging on the private pool as many people who had it did not use it. Food was delicious and so were the drinks. We asked to be moved rooms and the day they were all booked and could not change our room. Also the tub in the room would leak and create huge puddles in the room. For 4K, I expected more.

We had a great time at Excellence Punta Cana. The entire resort is clean and beautiful. The housekeeping team was awesome! Big buffet breakfast. Lunch at the buffet or the restaurant on the beach. There are several options for dinner, serving small plates, but you can sample a couple/few if you're extra hungry. There's a coffee shop with desserts, gelato, and ice cream, and it seems to always be open (LOVED!). Nightly entertainment/shows were fun. It was windy while we visited, so waves were rough, and we couldn't swim in the ocean. The pool was nice, though, and there is a hot tub. The swim up bar was fun, but it was tucked in the back and a little hard to find. The only improvement I would suggest is more towels in the pool area. Everyone was very friendly and personable. We enjoyed our stay and recommend Excellence Punta Cana.

Excellent service!!! We have been to Punta Cana a few times and this was our first time at the Excellence resort and we will never go anywhere else. The staff, the entertainment, the food… everything was beyond our expectations. Special shout-out to Joan for his attentiveness in making sure we had everything we needed as checking in with us daily. Thank you!!

Literally cannot describe how awesome our Christmas was here! All the staff is so friendly and remembers your name. The spa was just out of this world. I loved the hydrotherapy and the services I received from Angela! Literally best vacation ever. Just made me have such a love for Punta Cana. Currently trying to figure out when I can come back. Book now for the best vacation of your life.

Overall, we had an incredible stay at Excellence Punta Cana. What stood out to us the most was the exceptional service and how kind and friendly the staff was. Vera, our concierge, took outstanding care of us and quickly addressed any questions/ needs we had during our stay. Basilio, one of the poolside/ beach bartenders, checked on us multiple times daily. He always greeted us with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed. Leonidas was another bartender who was extremely kind, friendly and always made us laugh. We would absolutely recommend this resort!

Stayed at hotel for for 14 nights in a nice room but construction outside our room as they were installing a new elevator, noisy all day . Since we booked direct with the hotel , we spoke with a manager Rachel Castro Lorenzo and asked if we left 2 days early could we get a refund the 2 unused nights. She said yes, she would submit our request and have the money refunded to our credit card . Well over a month later nothing and no reply when we email her about this . I was lied to and they took 600 dollars of my money . People at this resort are very nice only when they take your money, after that you don't exist to them . Just be warned ⚠️ And thanks again to manager RACHEL CASTRO LORENZO Giving me false information and costing me 600 US dollars . I will return next year looking forward to meeting up with you soon 😊

I recently visited here (July 17-20,2023) i surprise my husband with a trip for his birthday. We stayed in the room with a private pool and garden view. The room it self was just beyond beautiful. The bar was fully stocked the only dislike I had about the room was it had a weird funny smell to it and it just didn’t leave. The food was actually pretty amazing all the service was on point and top tier. Loved that it was no kids. The night life was great very entertaining. I will definitely book again.

AMAZING experience here for our honeymoon!!! The best service and kindest people. Victor concierge was great! He went out of his way to make us a special beach setup with champagne and beautiful decor. We felt very special and were treated so well by the staff. 10/10 recommend!

The Excellence Punta Cana was nothing short of amazing! We spent most of our time at the pool with great entertainment and games. The restaurants were good! Our favorite was Agave. The beach was beautiful and super clean every morning. Multiple pools to cater to everyone. Loud pool with music and entertainment as well as quiet pools for reading and relaxing. Abraham helped us on the way out and he was extremely helpful! Overall I enjoyed my stay and would absolutely come back

The Service as always at Excellence Resorts was phenomenal. The grounds and beach are always immaculately kept which makes the experience even better. This trip we made sure to check out the nightly shows which were truly entertaining every night. The food is fantastic and drinks are always great and makes you want to try as many as possible! Would recommend to anyone of any age to make the trip here, there is something for everyone and the staff and guests are so friendly. Thanks again Excellence!

Guerrero was excellent! The ocean view suite with private pool is a must! The beach, ocean, and property are beautiful and well maintained! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Coconut shrimp and salmon from The Lobster House was terrific! The aqua wellness and massage was a great way to end the trip. Definitely will be back!

Dionisio Jesus, Santa, roberto. Excellent service!! Juan Carlos who oversees the beach area of the excellence club section is AMAZING. He is incredibly attentive, outgoing, and makes sure your stay is nothing but the best. He even tried to give me the shirt off his back when I didn't have a shirt and was turned away from one of the restaurants.

An absolutely wonderful experience. Marcos served the best drinks on the entire resort. Marco’s “happy-happy” shot is a must have. The Grill, the French restaurant, and the Japanese restaurant was great.

Overall an amazing stay & would recommend to all of my friends & family. There were a few things that could have been better (food wasn’t always great, but they do have a lot of options. We loved Agave & Chez Isabelle the most. The staff made me & my family feel welcomed & cared for at all times. I have never experienced service like the Excellence team! Spa: The best part of my visit - so relaxing & refreshing. Rooms: Beautiful rooms & they even gave us an upgrade for free! They constantly left treats in the room for me for my birthday & the 24 hour room service was INSANE (in the best way possible). The rooms were a little bit humid, even when the air was on & the temperature was set on the lower end but that’s not a surprise given we’re in a tropical area. Lots of mosquitoes & beware of sand fleas. That was the only downfall of our stay. Service: Manuel & and all of the poolside staff were constantly bringing us drinks & always so helpful & kind. There was ALWAYS a smile on their face.

We are frequent Excellence flyers but this was our first visit to Excellence Punta Cana. We were not disappointed at all. The check in staff went out of their way to accommodate us when we had an issue. They were friendly and never made us seem as if we were a burden. Jesus the concierge at the Excellence Club beach side was awesome. He made sure we had a great bed and went out of his way to move some chairs and set them up for us. He was always smiling and his friendly nature made us feel at home. Basilio did an amazing job to make sure we had our beverages in a timely manner. Every time he saw our drinks running low he made sure to check in us. He was attentive, friendly and made us feel very welcome. We have had wonderful experience at every Excellence property we have been at and will continue to visit as often as we can.

We had an excellent stay here last week. We stayed in a private club level swimup. The club level upgrade is a must. The club private transfer, room upgrades, and private restaurant/bar were excellent. Francis in the club bar was the best bartender I’ve ever had at any resort. The circus show was amazing, and the rock show was really good. We would definitely go back.

Pedro, Ares, Oscar and the rest of the bell staff have been so wonderful! They have been so helpful to everything we have asked for. Everyone at the resort is super friendly, they truly treat you like family. Thank you for handling my big bag of junk nice gentlemen! We appreciate you so much!

Came here for our babymoon. Beautiful place and very relaxing. Manuel was amazing and super friendly, gave us great service by the beach. He recommended great drinks and knew exactly what my husband and I would like. Food was good, we especially enjoyed the food and service at Agave. Dolores took special care of us there. Would recommend to anyone looking to unplug and relax for their vacation.

We had a party boat trip, Diego arranged for us a wonderful event. We went snorkeling and we had a blast. Look for Diego in the pool and beach area to get the best deal. He is friendly, easy to work with and have the best boat trips. Don’t forget to get your Coco Loco at Sol bar with Ramirez who is the best bar tender.

Punta Cana Excellence was an Amazing experience. The food was delicious and the pools and beach were amazing. Two exceptional staff members were Maria who served us our drinks every night and “29” who was there everyday and everywhere. He gave us an awesome Zumba class every day at the pool and danced with us every night. He was always happy and eager to please the guests. He made our vacation special. We enjoyed our stay here very very much and will be returning again.

We stood here the first week in January. Osvaldo was the star of the show. He was the friendliest and most sincere member of the entire staff at Excellence. He truly made us feel welcomed and excited to be there. Iris at the kitchen table was also a sweetheart and very kind and helpful. Last but not least was Richard who was an excellent waiter full of life. Excellent resort all around (food, rooms, drinks, entertainment, pool/beach set up. We will return and the first person we will look for is Osvaldo!

We’ve stayed at multiple other resorts (Hard Rock & Sandals) and the quality of accommodations and service at Excellence Punta Cana was in line with our experience and expectation of an all inclusive resort. I’m fact the proximity to pool and beach (literately steps from all room levels, was much more convenient at Excellence than any other stay. Guerrero with hospitality was amazing! Hendrix with pool service at Excellence club pool was our favorite!!! Men, bring long pants. Two restaurants require dress code.

Stephanie, Manual and Kendry were the most amazing crew on our honeymoon! They truly made our poolside/beach relaxation experience excellent. If you get the opportunity to meet them, please ensure you show them the love they deserve (and order a happy happy)! The entertainment team truly made our poolside experience memorable and we loved the games and memories made. The best restaurants in our opinion were the Grill and Agave. Nelson at Agave was wonderful!

Excellence was an amazing stay! The entertainment team were fantastic, my wife and I had a great time playing water volleyball everyday and baseball on the beach with the entertainment team. Rosangela was quick and reliable with our orders by the pool. Iris was a fantastic waitress we got to meet during breakfast and lunch. All around fantastic time. We will be back!

We stayed for one week in January 2024. Everything went great and the resort was as advertised. All the staff were very accommodating, kind, and cheerful. The rooms were very nice and of good size. The food was excellent at all restaurants and we never had to wait to be seated. The pool and beach areas were plentiful and not crowded. The water directly in front was too rough for swimming but I think you could do so on down the beach. The nightly shows were entertaining. The shuttle from airport went smooth and didn't really feel like it took to long to get there.

Awesome awesome awesome. One of my favorite places. Everyone has a smile. Willing to help and there when you need them. Very respectful and well mannered. 10/10 would come back. Pool service was awesome. Met a lot of amazing locals don't remember everyone but stop by the pool and say hi to Hendricks and Angela.

The staff and service was wonderful. Rooms were a little hot but they brought us a fan even though they didn’t typically have fans for rooms. The beach is beautiful although you shouldn’t plan to be in the ocean as the surf is typically red flag. Regardless, it’s the best all inclusive we’ve ever stayed at. Highly recommend.

Karina (Sol Bar) was very friendly and made the best drinks we’ve had at the resort. She also chatted with us for a bit about her life and gave us tips for the resort. This was our first experience at an all inclusive and the service we’ve received has been excellent, with Karina going above and beyond. We will definitely be returning.

Excellence Punta Cana was disappointing to say the least. The service was horrible and we were treated with disrespect by the majority of staff. They were rude and inpatient and not at all up to the 5 star service standards. The food was absolutely horrific. I work at a hospital and think the cafeteria food is better than this "5 star" resort. I lost 3 pounds on a 1 week vacation. The ocean has large waves so please do not go here expecting to calmly enjoy the water. While on the beach there were people trying to sell various items which is also not 5 star or relaxing. There is no food service on the beach. There are not designated smoking areas so if you are bothered by cigarette smoke, I would not stay here. The entire experience felt like a cheap cruise on land. Would not recommend this resort. I too looked at reviews before booking and saw the glowing reviews. I don't know how that is possible and am genuinely shocked to see it is rated 4.9 stars.

Manuel, Jose and Rosangela were very attentive and kind. I never had to walk to the bar, they waiter was always there to get me another drink. Service was EXCEPTIONAL! If you ever visit, make sure your waiter is Manuel!!!! He’s the BEST! The drinks 🍹 were AWESOME👏🏼

My husband and I just stayed 9 nights at Excellence Punta Cana and it was incredible! Our room, the service, the food… pools and beach exceeded our expectations. We also can’t say enough about the staff, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Ana our concierge helped us with anything we needed and Demarys who works in the show area as a server is the sweetest, very friendly… biggest smile and such a pleasure to meet. Thank you to everyone at the resort who made our trip a memorable one. We will 100% be back!!

Tocasta was wonderful! This was the best 100 minutes of massage, facial and scalp massage. It was very relaxing, pampering and couldn’t have been better! The products smell wonderful and the staff is superb. I loved the hydro therapy ahead of time too! Thank you for a wonderful day

Manuel is the perfection of service. I have never experienced anything close to the amazing service that he provided me all day long. He needs a promotion or more money or something because he stood out from everyone else we encountered there. Thanks Manuel for making our honeymoon that much better. Everything was great, clearly and especially Manuel.

Love, love, love the Excellence Resorts!! We have been to the Punta Cana location twice and you will not be disappointed! Upgrading to the excellence club is a must! As you will have access to better beaches, pools and top shelf alcohol. Don’t get me wrong, the entire resort is excellent however one of the best bartenders, Basilio, is only available at club level. Ask for him by name and his Basilio especial! You will not be disappointed!

Before we leave today after two wonderful weeks here St Excellence Punta Cana we must express our thanks to Joel, Restaurant Manager in the Excellence Club. You are a very polite, courteous person who is a big credit to the hotel. Its a person like you, and also so many other people in the resort who makes this a wonderful place yo stay. Thank Joel for your kindness and love. You should go far in the amazing hotel, and you deserve it.

We had a wonderful time. Abraham, Oscar and Santos greeted us and made sure everything was great upon arriving and leaving. The service was amazing and the food was delicious. Victor and Adar took care of all of our food and drink requests all week and treated us like family. I could not recommend Excellence Punta Cana enough!

This resort is absolutely beautiful! The staff make it even better! We enjoyed every part of our stay here. Our swim up room had an amazing view of the ocean. We had a slight problem with some mildew from the humidity and we were moved immediately to a room with another great view. The food was great at every restaurant. The bars had fantastic drinks. Rincon was our favorite bartender! My glass was never empty! Juan Luis at the front desk went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed at all times. The ecological park with the flamingos was a big highlight. The entertainment each night was so good! I highly recommend this resort!!

Staff has been amazing. Extremely helpful and courteous. The entertainment is top notch. The food has been amazing as well. Definitely coming back here! Just sit by the beach or pool and the staff will come to you for whatever you need.

We have had an excellent time here! The staff is all so sweet and obliging, and they truly think of everything! Our room is beautiful, the beach is clean, and the pools are beautiful. Jeffrey at the swim up bar is amazing and the entertainment staff are so engaging. The food is all delicious and the coffee is to die for. We never want to leave!

First time in an all inclusive and I was blown away! The resort was beautiful and immaculate, the staff was impeccable, food and drink the best. Hostess Indira and Jisely were so friendly and helpful, they made me feel at home. Victor and the other bartenders at The Palms had great customer service and always had our drinks! Entertainment was fun and engaging.

I had very good experience in excellence Punta Cana with the very good service, Erik, Alfonso, Abraham Oscar , Joel, Ezequiel everyone is excellente. Definitely will be back again! This was my 3rd time here and always a great experience! I don’t remember all the names of the people, but they are all wonderful!!! Thank you for a beautiful trip!

Loved every minute of our vacation there. The staff were all 100% vaccinated so felt very safe from Covid. They are very, kind, caring and accommodating. The grounds and pools are beautiful. Entertainment could be updated...we saw the same shows 10 years ago but still, they were good. We will probably return at some time.

We had some staff that did an outstanding job. Erika was our server on the excellence beach and she was absolutely fantastic. She provided great service our entire stay. We looked forward to the drinks that she would make us as they were always a surprise, always delicious and always with a genuine smile. Juan Carlos did a great job having our spot ready each morning on the beach and checking to make sure all was good. Richard kept us supplied with our afternoon snacks on the beach. He was a lot of fun and always efficient. Iris at The Kitchen was an absolute joy. Loved her morning greetings, her positive energy and her ability to make you feel at home. Hector at The Grill was fabulous. Energetic, engaging and always a step a head. Absolutely enjoyed his hospitality. Ocean here is rough. Good for boogie boarding but not swimming or snorkeling. Dress code for men in all restaurants for all meals needs to be reviewed as it's a little much. Until then, men make sure you pack long pants, collared sleeved shirts and closes toes shoes or you will be limited to the sports bar & room service.

Lady and the rest of the staff were amazing! Friendly and accommodating. Always there to help with anything you need. Very much recommended. We stayed for 6 days and were treated amazing. We will come back here. Extra points for this place being an adult only resort.

We had amazing holidays in the Excellence Punta Cana. The resort is super clean and well maintained. The room service came in multiple times a day to always supply clean towels, which was great. Also the shows and animation offering is fun and perfect - you can be at the pool and have still every now and then some activity that you can join or not. The animators are all super friendly, motivating and very funny. Unfortunately, the service in the restaurants is not good at all. You get asked several times what you want to order even though you have ordered already with a different waiter. Very chaotic service and partially not really friendly. Sometimes tip helps the friendlieness, but should not be dependent on tip. All in all we really had a great time and can only recommend it. The resort also reduced plastics, which I really liked (if you want to have a straw, bring your own reusable).

Everything was made so easy from start to finish. The entertainment staff was incredible, engaging and funny. Gasolina and Coca Cola kept us laughing the entire trip. Food and drinks were great with a good variety. Definitely looking forward to our next trip.

The entertainment team was amazing! They are so personable and create a fun environment for all guests! Gassolina made sure to come see us whenever he could and we felt like a part of the Excellence family! Food was good, the environment was restful, and all employees were extremely helpful.

Everything was amazing! Great bars, amazing shows and entertainment. The food was outstanding, even at the buffet. Pools are beautiful. The staff was awesome, friendly & easy to communicate with. Very attentive. Yeraldine (helped us near the jazz stage) and Victor ( helped us at the pool bar) were great. I would definitely come back!

Hendricks was a fabulous help! He was funny, welcoming, friendly and took care of our every need by the pool! He made our vacation memorable. Our favorite server was Frank at the Grill and Flavor Market. He explained menu items and have great suggestions. Service was quick and he took great care of us! A really joy!

Beautiful and clean grounds/pools/beach. The staff were all attentive and welcoming. We enjoyed conversations with Marcos at the bar! The food is fine — the quality is what one would expect from an all-inclusive. Good drinks. We were also really impressed by the spa service. A great stay for couples / groups looking for a relaxing, no-fuss get away.

The staff are so friendly and helpful. The resort is outstanding and we have been to several throughout the years, by far top 3. Food is good, I am very particular and they actually catered to my needs at every restaurant. Hendrix in the Gold Excellence Club is outstanding. Right from our arrival beginning with Caesar and then through out stay Carlos and his staff have, wonderful. I would highly recommend a stay here, keep in mind Adults Only resort. Rita

Excellence was a great place for our honeymoon. Great food, awesome service, and beautiful amenities! Luis, Edzer, and their team from the sports bar were a lot of fun - we spent almost every night there! Indira was amazing - she remembered our room number every time we got to a restaurant and was always so friendly. Nicholas was a great waiter! Oscar made the check-out process go smoothly! There were so many more amazing employees as well. Thanks for making this a great trip!

Excellence Punta Cana this review is specifically for the Beach Area at the Hotel. ROSSY the beach concierge has been absolutely amazing. She’s funny, attentive and kind. Shoutout to Yummy Yummy as well he definitely tries his best to please everyone on their food request. Lastly Victor is kind gently soul and extremely sweet. They made my days at the be magical. I’m extremely grateful to them.

Juan Carlos at the excellence club beach was the best of the best! Guerrero the bellboy was wonderful with our bags!!! He was super friendly and was very attentive. His English was also very easy to understand!!! Victor at the beach was amazing as well! Everyone loved Karen (mini barbie) as well! She helped with activities at the pools! Valentin offered top notch service in the restaurants!

We had a great honeymoon at Excellence Punta Cana. Our room was beautiful & had every amenity we could have asked for, including our own pool & fully stocked mini bar. As part of the Excellence Club, we had the pleasure of meeting Hendriux at the Excellence Club pool. He always greeted us with a smile and a high-five, and consistently was asking if there was anything he could do to help us. He took the time to talk with all of the guests he encountered and remembers everything he talks to them about. He was fantastic. Every day, our room was serviced by a wonderful housekeeping staff, especially Katherine. She went above and beyond to ensure our room was tidy and that we had all of the towels and other toiletries we may need. She left us the sweetest note in our room, which was an added testament to how kind of a person she is. We truly enjoyed our time here at Excellence Punta Cana. The drinks at the bar are very tasty, and definitely strong! The resort is beautiful, the nightly entertainment was great, from fire shows, to circus shows, to the silent disco. We LOVED the silent disco, and it seemed to be well enjoyed by the rest of the guests as well. Our week here was so fun.

This place is a true paradise. My stay was the best 8 days of my life. Service is absolutely perfect and the staff is 100% competent, professional and sympathetic. The Gym is one of the best I have ever seen on a Resort. My only suggestion is to keep it open 24 hours since it’s far from the apartments and the noise cannot disturb the guests. Except for the Lobster House, all the restaurants are very good and food is super tasty. I can’t wait to have change to stay at the Excellence again.

We had a 4 day stay at Excellence with a group of 16 and the resort was very accommodating. Oscar & Pedro greeted us with champagne and helped with multiple group pics. Victor at the restaurants was wonderful! Darwin on the entertainment team was also wonderful! Super funny, always answered any questions we had. Wilkins helped us sign up for massages at the spa - I wish I could list them all, but everyone at this resort was so kind and treated us like family!

The Blue bar is a swim up bar where we spent the end of each day. We had a great time. Basilio made me a drink that was his special cocktail that was amazing. Ramon and Miguel greeted us every time with amazing service. Alexandra always had a smile and was always ready to ensure we were taken care of. I hope we see then again when we return.

We stayed from 12/28/22 to 1/4/22 and it was incredible. Jacobs with Excellence Punta Cana met us to help us with our luggage and he was such a joy. He showed us around our room, showed us where things were, and was very very personable. Jacobs has such a positive energy and we wish we saw him more throughout our trip. We were so happy to see him when he showed up to help with luggage to leave! He provided us with a great experience at the start our trip and at the end of our trip. The resort was beautiful overall. The service is great, everyone is nice, and there are so many food options to pick from. Not to mention the beautiful waters and how fun it was to play in the waves. I would absolutely recommend this resort!
