Our stay at Excellence El Carmen was absolutely Excellent. Lots of food options, most of which were really good. The stay provided out of this world service, in every facet of the hotel. Bartenders made amazing drinks, waiters would find you to take your drink order on the beach, in the hot tubs. The beach was great, pool was warmed to around 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit. Grounds were well kept, rooms were in solid condition. Spa service was amazing, the hydro therapy was a nice touch. Thank you to all the staff, especially my boy Happy Juan for help with the luggage.

We were blown away with the beauty of the resort but most of all how kind the staff was. Rafael greeted us on arrival and was so polite, funny, and helpful in getting us to our room. All staff was happy and made our experience that much more special. We visited Alvin at the sports bar several times as he was always a pleasure to chat with and always gave us good drinks and good laughs. 10/10 honeymoon experience. Definitely recommend!

Everything was excellent at the hotel - beautiful setting, tasty food, friendly atmosphere. Besides the views, the service has been the best part of this trip. They have all been incredible. I don't know if I've felt as warmly greeted or as taken care of as with Estivenson at The Kitchen. Breakfast was a delight each time we visited. Ericka down at the beach was exceptionally professional, efficient and attentive without hovering. While they were a highlight, all the staff have been attentive and warm from the spa services, check in, hosts, staff, and bartenders. Daniel, the Bell Boy was the last person we saw and sent us on our way with amazing customer service and friendliness. Wish we didn't have to leave.

The staff is absolutely amazing here!!! There are so many that made us feel at home. Happy Juan was always on time and careful with our luggage. Sonia and Rosa’s massage is the best I’ve had! The pool entertainment crew is amazing! Kenny at the beach bar makes fabulous cocktails! But our favorite was probably Felix at the sports bar, it was always a fun time!

What a fantastic 3rd trip!!! Rosy, the wonderful assistant manager made sure our trip was unforgettable! Thank you so much for taking such great care of us. The staff made our trip amazing as always!!! These are the people who made sure that everything was as perfect as it could be. We truly had an amazing honeymoon here! Rossy from the Palms bar served us every day and was kind and helpful. Miguel Angel also provided us with excellent service. The level of customer service here is unlike anywhere else I’ve been. The room was clean and comfortable. The food at the Kitchen Table was our favorite. My husband had multiple fresh coconuts every day and the drinks at all of the bars were incredible! The sports bar was lively at night and there was plenty of music and entertainment throughout the day. We were never bored. Would definitely recommend!

We had the best time on our Honeymoon this past week! the whole resort is fabulous and the staff are all 10/10! We never had bad food, everything was delicious! Miguel was so friendly and helpful the entire stay and always remembered our names, he greeted us upon arrival and then got us out of the resort easily. Noel was also 10/10 when we ate at the Lobster House for dinner, he was our most friendly waiter we had the entire stay. Stay here for your honeymoon or a couples trip! We had the best time and are sad to leave, also visit the spa!!!

Cannot recommend Excellence El Carmen enough. The resort itself is beautiful, modern and very well maintained. The food was also good, offering a big variety of restaurants and cuisines. Our favourite was probably aroma, serving great coffees and pastries all day. The massages were also top notch, and the scheduled activities were both fun and relaxing. However, the stars are the staff. Everyone we met was very attentive and had recommendations of how to further improve our stay, specially the entertainment team. They always met us with a big smile on their faces and even treated us by our name, making it very personal and making us feel as part of the family. A big thank you to every member of the staff that made this an unforgettable experience. Our only regret is not staying longer!!!

I haven’t even left yet but I had to write a review before I go because it’s been so amazing. This is my first time at an all inclusive and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. The customer service here is outstanding. Mikael ,the chef , an amazing guy with amazing energy who made such a memorable experience for me so special. Sonia is always amazing and has a special place in my heart. From the first day we met her she was so sweet and welcoming . Joel, another employee at the resort left a mark on us also. His customer service is amazing. Everyone here is so amazing and I can’t wait to come back .

Went for a girls' trip and had a wonderful time. The service was amazing. Eddy in the Excellence Club lounge makes the best espresso martini's and had fun talking to us and letting us practice our Spanish. He was the best bartender on the resort. Out by the pool, Maria and Maritza were great! They remember you and your orders and really seemed genuine and like they were enjoying themselves. The facilities were beautiful, and I wish I had more time to explore and experience everything the resort had to offer. The location is great! The beach was beautiful. The south side beach had a sandier bottom if you went out in the water, the north side beach had some rocks you would have to navigate once you went waist high. There were plenty of cabanas on the beach, and around the pool. It never felt busy and there truly wasn't a wait for restaurants. Check in was painless, and the app was a lifesaver! The Fire Show is not to be missed, but get there early.

Edgar, Martinez, and Ricky at the Blue pool side Bar we’re phenomenal with there quick and professional service. Every drink was made perfect and they all had great recommendations when we were unsure on what to drink as well as giving a very friendly inviting vibe. Benjamin at The kitchen restaurant for breakfast service also provided phenomenal service and recommendations. All of these and several others at this resort have a very welcoming feel to them and when there not having a quick casual conversation with some good humored jokes they are taking care of any and all possible needs you may have. Thank you all for an unforgettable experience we will be back!

Still dreaming of my trip to Excellence El Carmen. The property is sprawling and beautiful. Our rooftop plunge pool room was huge, very comfortable and well decorated. The entire facility is spotless. The food was largely very good (though I don’t recommend the Italian restaurant). And the entire staff is extremely warm, friendly and helpful.

The Excellence chain never fails to disappoint! This is our third trip but our first at EEC. The atmosphere is lively without being obnoxious. It’s definitely good for us because we just want to relax, but also have some fun. We have done a couple of the activities including the paint and sip with George, Junior, Coco Chanel, and Johnny Walker. We had so much fun! The staff is so friendly! I also just did the mud therapy with Coco and Johnny. If you have sensitive skin I would leave it off the face since it can get a little tingly when washed off with salt water. The beach here is really picturesque with bright blue (and clear) water. The night time entertainment is really good and you can’t go wrong with a drink made by Manny at the martini bar.

We had a great time there. Staff was incredible. They really do make the experience. Samuel at the martini bar, Rossy who served us at the beach, and Jenny who also worked at the martini bar and at the pool were just amazing. They need a raise or a higher position. I would hire them any day if they were living in Arizona, their attention to detail and customer service was outstanding. Samuel really set the atmosphere at the martini bar and you can tell he really got to know every guest and everyone loved him. Never loose him! Also Roscairin at the front desk really exemplifies pure class, what an asset to your resort. She was able to assist and welcome us with any need we had during our stay.

Excellent service by Jose Luis. He was at several restaurants during our stay. He was attentive and very friendly. Best service at the martini bar with Jensy and Samuel. They made us feel like family. Everything we needed they were attentive and refilled our drinks without asking. It made our day better to see their smiling faces every evening.

Everything was great! We especially loved our nights at the Excellence Club bar with Eloy. We had the honeymoon suite in building 7 and we spent most of our days in laying by our rooftop pool and would come down and get drinks every once in a while. Every restaurant we went to was great! I personally thought dinner was the best. Breakfast and lunch weren’t great to me but it was doable and dinner made up for it. I can’t wait to go back!

During our stay at Excellence El Carmen in Punta Cana, Martiza was absolutely amazing. We'd HIGHLY recommend visiting this resort!! The staff were so welcoming, friendly, helpful and accommodating. The resort grounds were immaculate and every corner was picture-worthy. If you go to the spa for a massage, we'd also HIGHLY recommend Juana or Ariela. They did our couples massage and were so sweet and kind and their massages were fantastic! The best massages we've ever had!! It was so difficult to leave such a wonderful paradise, but we'll definitely be back to visit!!

The resort was absolutely beautiful! Everyone was so friendly and there were so many activities to do on the resort. Our bartender Sammy was excellent and always on top of things! We also had a wonderful bellhop, Miguel! There were always fun activities going on at the beach and Danny was great at getting everyone excited for the activities! We will definitely be visiting here again.

We had an amazing vacation at Excellence El Carmen. It is a great resort to have a romantic getaway. It is not loud or a party resort. I highly recommend a swim up room. The staff will come and bring you food and drinks. Miguel was the 1st person to greet us. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the resort. Our favorite spot was the piano bar. Marcos was the best bar tender in the place. His drinks not only tasted amazing, they were beautifully made too! My only complaint is the beach. There are vendor that come to you every 20 minutes trying to sell over priced things. I wish the resort could control that better.

Our first time in Punta Cana, and we’re beyond satisfied with our resort choice at Excellence El Carmen. The service has been phenomenal, resort is very well maintained, and the food was great. Manuel, one of the servers is in our opinion the best in going above and beyond for the guests. He made our stay even more enjoyable. Also, the girls in entertainment were great. The Dominican house band was spectacular, we wish they played every single day. Thank you, Excellence, for a memorable stay. We hope to return again soon

The resort is very lush, and the staff is all so accommodating and nice! The breakfast buffet and steakhouse have the best food on the resort. They have lots of fun activities too. We did the bracelet making class and Aurelio was so nice, funny and helpful! We had a lot of fun and are leaving with a cute souvenir now! He also leads bingo in the pool which is a great time! Do all the cooking classes/demonstrations they offer because the food is so so good!

We loved our stay at Excellence El Carmen! Quicker transport to and from the hotel than we expected which was great. Plenty of activities for whatever you’re in the mood for. Swim up bar was incredible at the main pool. Favorite restaurant had to be Spice, service and food were the best. All of the staff was so helpful and kind to us during our stay. It was a beautiful vacation and we will have to return soon!

Our stay didn’t start off ideal. We had issues with our A/C going out in our first room. Our group of 4 couples were split on opposite sides of the resort. The food we had to choose from on night 1 was from the sports bar which we had less than a mediocre experience. The servers were not friendly and the food was disappointing. We based our week experience off of the first night. It progressively got better each day with trying different restaurants, different services and the A/C in our original room being fixed. However, I wanted to give a shout out to our fantastic beach concierges at the Excellence Club, Ines and Alberich! They were always happy to greet our group of 8. They were very accommodating and helped set up our area for the group each morning! Rossy was also very attentive in bringing us drinks and food on the beach! Beach service was outstanding!

Resort has been excellent. No wonder it's name is Excellence. The Grill restaurant at Excellence El Carmen is outstanding! Elias- Manager, Orlando- waiter & Rey‐ Chef were the GREATEST! Every ask from myself and party of 8 was answered with class and professionalism. Great energy from all! Will be back soon.

Fantastic experience. This was our first time staying at an all inclusive and Excellence El Carmen did not disappoint! Great food, great drinks, and an excellent pool. Service was awesome. Luis the bell boy helped us with our luggage to and from our room and gave us the run down of the property. He gave us the perfect start to our stay and he was sad to see us go! We also loved Franklin who was our server at Agave and the Kitchen table. He went above and beyond to remember us and he gave us such excellent service.

Happy Juan was amazing! Randy was also amazing Luis helped us with our bags when we arrived and showed us to our room - he was so friendly and made the start of our vacation so enjoyable! And the team in the sports bar were all fabulous and so attentive. We’ve had an amazing time and are sad to be leaving today!

The Lobster House is amazing! The chef, Victor, made an amazing surf and turf plate that my partner and I both ordered. The steak was cooked to perfection and I ended up eating (most) of both lobster tails (she doesn’t typically eat seafood but still gave it a try!) Our waiter, Elias, made our dining experience exceptional. 10/10 would recommend. The Spa was also a fantastic experience. Eimer was great at guiding is through the hydro therapy and this was very relaxing.

Our stay at Excellence has been wonderful. The staff has been very friendly and very helpful. We did multiple activities (including bingo and making friendship bracelets haha) with Aurelio who has been great! The food is delicious and so are the drinks. The ocean and the pools are gorgeous. It’s been a great experience!! Highly recommend

My beautiful wife and I needed a week of relaxation and to celebrate our anniversary. Oh boy, this is the spot. All adults with "No" kids. The private swim-up pool room is the room we had. The staff was very attentive to our needs. Our bartender was the best. The drinks kept coming and were to our liking. We are already talking about booking for next year.

The experience I had here was amazing. Walking up to the front of the hotel I was greeted by Richie Rich which makes the experience so welcoming. He got us our champagne and got us settled in very quickly. We then were showed around the resort by Hector who was also amazing and very friendly. He even got us a bottle of champagne sent to our room so we can have a great first night! Lastly, one of our waiters that worked at different restaurant locations, Manuel! He was also very friendly and gave us great recommendations on what to eat and even brought us dessert to enjoy with our dinner. Overall this is a great resort to stay at! Every staff member goes out of their way to make our experience outstanding

Amazing activities, amazing service, amazing food, and amazing staff! They are so welcoming and friendly, they genuinely want you to have the best time here! They have volleyball tournaments, bingo, jewelry making, crafts, and a gorgeous, clean beach! So happy with our stay and with our service here :) a special shout out to Mickey Mouse, Junior 69, Mini Cooper, baby black and the Candy Man! They were so entertaining and kept things really fun :)

My wife and I have been to all the Excellent properties with over 15 stays and we have to admit that El Carmen was the last one we decided to try and we are kicking ourselves for not trying El Carmen sooner . The staff here in the club beach area are absolutely amazing , friendly and extremely attentive . The two wonderful guys in the concierge - Sylvester and “A” have been overly attentive and have gone above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of daily . Our two servers all week - Helen and Rosie are out standing . So friendly and attentive we often had another drink in our hands before we even knew we needed another one lol. The beach was full but this crew hustled and made sure everyone was comfortable and taken care of . Absolutely will recommend this location to our friends at home that also are Excellence groupies . We will be back , love this location for the beach service alone .

We're sad to leave today. The resort is absolutely Beautiful. The staff was so friendly. They catered to our every need. The views were breathtaking. So many restaurants to eat at and the food was delicious. I definitely recommend this resort to everyone you won't regret it.

The rooms were absolutely amazing. Room service 24/7. Clean rooms. The staff are all welcoming and smiling. They really get to know you. Miguel, the bellboy is hilarious and super fun to talk with while waiting for your ride! I would 100% stay another time. Prices were great and the whole trip was paradise.

Let me just say, I was not disappointed. The staff was very attentive, friendly and welcomed us as family. Leo from the front desk was the best. Made sure we had everything we needed. This was by far one of the best b-day ever! Thank you everyone. Definitely returning next year

The staff was amazing. The beach was outstanding! The drinks were served often and they didn’t skimp out on the alcohol at all. The pools were also really great. Very pleased! The food overall was pretty good. My only complaint was our room had some wear and tear but it wasn’t bad. Just not what I expected for 5 stars. This may have been specific to our room. Not sure.

Golden boy, Black Coffee, and Mickey Mouse These are the greatest workers here! They are truly what make this resort run! They have made my trip here fun and worth coming back! They truly are the best workers here and we will be back mainly because of them! They deserve a raise and need to be praised! They are always making sure we are taken care of!

We had a great time at Excellence El Carmen! Great pools & beach, delicious drinks & restaurants, fun evening shows. Everyone is extremely personable and kind. Every day we enjoyed going to the lobby to be greeted by “Golden Boy” and “Black Coffee”! We had excellent service at the beach from Marcos, always on top of our drink orders! Overall wonderful staff who truly made our trip remarkable! Definitely would go again.

The staff and resort was above every expectation!! From the front desk to the pool staff. The best. Excursions off site were both awesome. Felix @ the sports bar was brilliant, Angelo was also top notch! Angelo took care of us all over the resort and he was the absolute best! He took care of us over multiple restaurant and we couldn’t have asked for better service. Angelo went the extra mile and set us up wherever we go wanted to eat with a reservation even if he wasn’t working there. 10/10. Loved every minute and will be back!

We came here for our honeymoon and it was nothing short from EXCELLENT!! Right off the bat when we got here, we got checked in super quick and escorted to our room with our bags. Every single restaurant we went to was amazing. Every single bar (and there’s a lot of them) we’re amazing as well. Staff is friendly, every single one of them! Plenty of activities to do throughout the day, “69” and “Cupid” part of the activities team were so fun and inviting and made our stay even better! pool was nice. Our room was amazing. We got the two story rooftop Terrance suite with a plunge pool and it was incredible. During the night time, there are shows and they all were great and very entertaining. Along with some bands that played! We had such an amazing time on our honeymoon, we will definitely be coming back!! I could go on and on about how much of an amazing time we had. We didn’t want to leave!

My (new) husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely lovely. We stayed in one of the swim up suites which was amazing, views of the pool and maybe 30 feet from the beach. The excellence club perks were well worth the money, specifically the excellence club lounge bar has the best drinks on the resort and Eddy will go out of his way to make your time special. I had a slight cough and he insisted on making me a tea with lime and honey. Overall the vibe of the resort was very friendly and romantic. A great place for couples.

We had an amazing and relaxing time. Atmosphere was great, beach was beautiful and great selection for restaurants. Service was great and everyone was so very friendly. Super Manny made our stay so incredible by always recommending restaurants and greeting us whenever he would see us. He was always friendly and truly made the stay special Again, beautiful experience and very clean. Would recommend highly this resort

Our second time staying here at Excellence El Carmen and it did not disappoint. Sammie at the bar by our room was amazing as well as Jordy and Jacqueline at the martini bar. All staff is so kind and accommodating. The grounds and everything are very well kept. Very clean and sanitary here. Food and drinks are great. Shows are fun. Silent disco party was a blast ! Wonderful stay!

Everyone was so friendly!! The food and drinks were yummy! The weather was perfect. The spa was so relaxing. Every place we went was clean. We enjoyed our 4 nights. Said in the first few hours we will be returning as soon as we can. Felix at the sports bar is a must meet. Jhordan at check in and throughout our stay was helpful and accommodating. Even getting medication delivered from a pharmacy was easy. Happy Juan was friendly helping with our luggage. So many people who enjoy their work and helping to make sure your stay is as perfect as possible.

I have been coming to Excellence El Carmen for three years and for good reason. Every time I come, I am treated like family. Felix in the Sports Bar always greats me with a smile, Maria is there to serve anytime I go to the pool for a drink, Cassandra and her team are always ready to have fun with an array of different games and contest to keep the entertainment going all day long. It really is like a home away from home here, from the minute you walk in the door. I highly recommend Excellence Resorts to anyone looking for an all exclusive get away.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff here is extremely friendly. They’re very attentive, the room service was brought to us quickly and they kept all the food hot upon arrival. We were only able to stay 5 days but I highly recommend you stay for 7 days so you have ample time to visit all of the restaurants they have on site. Our favorite restaurant was The Grill which is their steak house. Daniel the bellmen was extremely nice and he helped us with our bags and gave us a guide through the resort. Thank you Daniel! The beach was beautiful but the water was a little choppy due to the weather. You also have to be careful of the rocks in the water but it is easy to find stretches of sand that don’t have any rocks. This was our first time to DR and we enjoyed our stay here at The Excellence!

Our stay was incredible! We can’t wait to come back. The resort is absolutely beautiful and the food is delicious. We stayed for a week in January and the weather was perfect. Some of our favorite events were the Pop Show and Silent Disco. The staff were so welcoming, kind, and fun. Wander, a waiter at the Kitchen Table and Grill, treated us so well. Rafael and Victor were also wonderful waiters, Miguel was a friendly bellhop, and Junior was great with events. You will thoroughly enjoy your stay!

We absolutely LOVED our stay here. Excellence really made our honeymoon special. The service was definitely the standout point of our stay- the staff was incredible and so kind. We especially want to recognize Happy Juan for helping us with our bags and Stevenson at the restaurants for always recognizing us and taking care of us! Most of all, we also loved Wester who brought us all our drinks and was the life of the party by the pool. We had such a relaxing time and really enjoyed the beautiful beach & fun pool. The staff here are fantastic! They are very warm and welcoming, and always helpful. Especially the entertainment team ( William "Cupid" and "The golden boy") we're very fun and do a great job with the dance class and nightime dancing. They definitely made us feel welcome! The beach is beautiful and the drinks were fantastic. All the staff at the beach were very helpful. Edgar even brought us our favorite drinks before we even asked for them and the whole staff welcomed us there each day. The weather and the ocean were perfect. It was a overall a great vacation.

I cannot stress enough how much we LOVEDDDD our stay with you!! Everyone was so sweet and nice. Erica the waitress on the beach is the sweetest girl. Juan who filled our minibar was great too. Concierge was amazing every interaction with them. The food was great, the entertainment was great. The spa was incredible. It was absolutely on another level compared to other resorts we have been to. I loved every minute and cannot wait to plan a trip back.

We truly enjoyed our stay! The highlight of the trip was the clean beach and the spa services. At the spa, Angela provided the best massage I have ever had and helped get knots out of my back that have been bothering me a while. I expected a normal spa experience but she truly took time to work on the areas I needed and it was incredible! Everyone is so kind, Edwin the Best with the bellman team was so welcoming and helped us get settled. The shows were also incredible! We were very surprised at how much we enjoyed the evening entertainment - the staff here really made the experience incredible. Thank you!!!

My wife and I came here for our honeymoon and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The room and swim up pool were spotless and the staff was amazing. Edgar at the Palms Bar was fantastic. He would come to our swim up pool and deliver and ask how we were doing and if we wanted any drinks. Each time he saw us out, he would come over. Our mini-bar guy was also fantastic (can't remember his name). My wife wanted a specific alcohol in the room and he went out of his way and found it for her and got it to us the next day. The accommodations, facilities and amenities are all first-rate. Staff are friendly and more than willing to please. The food in all the dining venues is well prepared and beautifully served. Special commendation to Lobster House and our spectacular waiter Claudio and captain Rosario! They are the best. Both have earned 5 stars and a big raise for taking great care of us!

CANDY WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!! He was honestly our FAVORITE person on the resort. We loved him so much! He made me and my friend bracelets during a workshop even though we weren’t there for it. Made sure to get us extra chairs for the entertainment shows even though we couldn’t find anywhere to sit at first. He sought us out numerous times at the pool and at the shows just to make sure we were having the best time. He made our experience 1,000 times better than it already was. Make sure you say hi when you see him! Such a great person! Want to come back just to see him!
