What an awesome experience. My husband and i did the half day buggy tour. It was a fun dirt road and on road buggy rides, our guide Ralf was fantastic and Angela was so accommodating and friendly via email and in person. Rolf took us to a locals home in the country to have coffee and biscuits and learn about how people actually live (not in the cities or resort). The views were awesome. We were covered head to toe in mud, dust and I'm sure other things that shall not be named. We went through some local towns. I absolutely recommend this tour but prepared to be dirty and have fun doing it.

Amazing experience with this company. We loved that it wasn't a tourist trap. We got to explore the country side into a village and give out candy. We saw many small towns. Our guide was very knowledgeable and next time we will do the full day exploration.

Charlie and Crew truly amazing, I wish we had taken the full Day. Great fun. Shame it hadn’t rained. Had the taste of cow pats flying off the front wheels an absolute laugh.

Great fun couple of hours. It's a shame they won't let you go further and faster.

If you like adventures this is the place. But be warned you will get muddy. We loved it. After we got to stop by the beach to clean off. Daniel our tour guide was fantastic. Very informative along the way teaching us about the Dominican people and culture. He took over 100 pictures and put on a CD for only $30. Well worth it.

Best dune buggy experience in Punta Cana! I did a lot of shopping and read hundreds of reviews before going with Xtreme Buggy and we were very satisfied with our choice. Buggies are like the real Dune buggies and stick shift. Our guide was the owner Charlie and he was amazing! Thanks again and the amazing experience!

I wish I could give this place more than 5 Stars. One of the best experiences of my wife and I’s life!! Did the full day tour with Charlie and he was so much fun to hang out with and made you feel like we were friends for years!! If you want the real deal Dominican Republic experience you will not find any better! The buggies were fun to drive and fast. Charlie took us to a local market to sample some great snacks, a few beaches to swim in, a beautiful hidden gem for lunch with amazing food and experiences unmatched. Angie was super helpful before we even arrived and recommended many other things for us to do while we were here! We can not wait to come back and do a multi-day trip with them! I would recommend bringing a bathing suit, towel, and sunscreen!!

If you want a unique tour of the Dominican Republic and an up close experience of local food and culture, Xtreme Buggy is the tour for you! The buggy tour was the HIGHLIGHT of our trip. Our guide, Ralf, spoke English well so English-speakers can rest assured you will understand all instructions and details about the tour. Our tour consisted of stopping at a local restaurant along a river, a supermarket for a typical Dominican snack and homemade juice, a stunning remote beach that offered the best views we saw our whole Punta Cana trip, another restaurant and party place where we got a taste of a true Dominican meal you can't get at a resort (be sure to try the zipline!), and the last stop was Macao beach. Water shoes and old clothes are recommended because you will get muddy driving through water, which is one of the best parts of the tour. Don't hesitate to book with Xtreme Buggy!

Great buggy, street legal, well maintained, tour was good and brought us to some beautiful isolated places with no hassle seen from other tours. I will say for almost 400 for 2 people on a day tour we were a bit disappointed with the snacks and quantity of lunch for the number of people.

Highly recommend the full day trip. We traveled more than 160 KM and experienced local towns, sparsely populated beaches, a journey to the top of a mountain and local cuisine. Both my wife and teenagers considered this adventure to be the number one excursion while we were in Punta Cana for a week.

Excellent Buggy Adventure. Off the beaten track and not in the tourist trap areas. Need to know how to drive 4-speed shift. Good time to get dirty and explore countryside of Punta Cana.

We had a wonderful full day tour with xtreme-buggy. We booked directly with them and communication was easy and the buggy trip was a great way to see some of the DR. Really enjoyed how it was a small group of 3 buggies so never had to wait on others to catch up. The biggies were comfortable and well maintained. My wife and I are both in our 30s and my 70 year old father and 3 year old son all enjoyed the trip.

Great excursion, really fun and exciting! No where else to have this experience. Also it was nice to see the countryside and the real people. Great guides! Also, these are REAL dune buggies...the original ones. If you want something exciting and adventurous, this is it!

We did a full day trip had an absolute blast. This was a great way to really see what life is like in Punta Cana. This is not a show boat tour, it immerses in the true culture of the island. There's not the standard stops into the tourist traps that you get with all the or excursions. Raphe our guide was great. He was a good conversationalist, very knowledgeable, explained local customs, culture and any questions we had. The owner was there as well, super down to earth guy that loves what he does. He even drove us back to our resort in his personal dune buggy. We will definitely do it again if we go back to Punta Cana, it was the highlight of our trip! We were not asked to our guide as a lot of these types of tours push for, but frankly he did such a good job we were happy too! PS. You have to know how to drive a stick shift.

We did the full day tour and had a blast! Our guide was awesome and was very patient with all our questions. He was always explaining us what we are doing next and made sure we are all comfortable and safe. We visited a family where they showed us how they make coffee and cocoa and we tried a lot of local fruit. The zip line into the river was so much fun. Thank you so much for a great day!

I really enjoyed myself. We went as a group of 4. My partner had taken the half day 4 years back and wanted us to do the full day. Unfortunately it rained so we were unable to go up the mountain. I think a half day would have been better as there was more mud on his last adventure. If given a chance we will go back again but do the half day instead.

Highly recommend this tour, best excursion we have been on! Rolf and Angela are great people to deal with and very knowledgeable. Was great to be able to see the true Doninican life and rip through the Country! Be prepared to get muddy 😁

My wife and I did the half day buggy excursion while on vacation. The tour itself started out great until the first stop for coffee and chocolate. The tour guide stole cash right out of my wife's purse. The tour guide told us to wait in the garden while he turned the buggies around. When we returned to our buggy and opened the metal box our bag was untied and her purse inside the bag was unzipped and my $65 was gone. The tour guide watched me put the remainder of my cash in my purse after I paid him cash for the tour and face mask. I put the cash in my wife's purse and zipped it up and put her purse inside our beach bag and tied the beach bag straps in a knot. I just think it's sick. It ruined the entire tour for us. Of course we wanted to confront the situation but we didn't want to ruin the time for the other 5 people on the tour plus we were at their mercy of being in an unknown location. Please do not bring cash.

We did the full day buggy adventure. We had Gerhard as the tour guide and we're matched up with 2 other German drivers. Gerhard did an awesome job making sure that the Germans and us were in the know for everything. We went to a cocoa and coffee plantation. We got to learn all about different trees and fruits and also tried some fresh coffee and cocoa. We had an authentic lunch that was very very good. Went to the top of the mountain and looked over to see part of the country. These are the only buggies that can go on the main roads. All other buggy company's will go down the back roads. If I go back to the Dominic, I would like to do the 3 day or the 6 day adventure to see more of the country with Xtreme Buggy. This trip was well worth the money

Amazing people! It can be hard to find, but they will go out if their way to make sure you make it there. The tour was excellent! We learned alot about the dominant republic, and we saw the true culture! Best tour you can do hands down!

People were nice and welcoming. The only thing I didn’t like is the lack of communication. We paid for the videos and photos before we took the ride so I trusted them. The photos were rushed. My husband drove first they got that in video but then i drove back and never got a video of that. They never told us the video was only one way when we paid for it. Also the finalized video they sent us didn’t have the song we requested and also the song they put in it was all messed up. Partial video had no sound in it. When we confronted them through the text, there was no response :(( learned my lesson to never pay first. But apart from that, it was a great experience. Beautiful country, beautiful people.

We had an incredible day with Xtreme Buggy! We saw so much of the country that you just can’t see at a resort. We had previously booked with another buggy company, but switched to this one with the great reviews. These things were the real deal! 4 speed manual transmissions, so be sure you know how to drive stick. Our tour guide Ralf was awesome and very informative answering all of my questions and then some. He spoke English and German on our trip and spoke both very well. Prepare to get dusty/dirty/hit with cow pies, but that’s part of the fun. You do drive on the highway, but the buggies are more than capable and fast. We did the half day and it was great, will be back for the full day next time. Thanks for a great and memorable day! Do yourselves a favor and book with Xtreme Buggy!
