This rating is for an experience at the bike service center, not for the REI as a store. I went in to get a bike tire service for replacing tubes. It was advertised in store on their service board. When I brought the bike in the service desk clerk said he couldn’t do the service. He gave little explanation. What he did say was that they had too many bikes on sale to do the service. I am a member at REI. This was Saturday August 12th around 1pm. The explanation didn’t make sense and the clerk was rude and short. I ended up going elsewhere. I would have been okay with leaving the bike there until it could have been worked on, but there was no other offer mentioned besides “I can’t do it”. A bad experience for sure.

Lots of outdoor gear and athletic gear. They have sleeping bags, tents and hammocks, backpacks, bicycles, clothing, outdoor cooking equipment and coffee mugs, and cliff bars. You can get the zipper on your winter jacket repaired through REI. I would think that REI would be the number one place to buy hackysacks (footbags; it's a sport) but they don't sell them there. Friendly staff, expect to find high quality, and knowledgeable staff.

My bike got back after the Nice and Neat repair service. I've just done with my test ride, and it feels like I just bought new new! Highly recommended for luxury bike repair

Miguel was helping me the whole time and he was very knowledgeable and patient with me! I was looking for a bouldering shoes, he showed me and explained which one would be the best shoes for me- and he was right, I love these shoes so much. It was so fun to talk to him too. I'd definitely visit the store again for him when I get a chance. Thank you for your time and effort you put in to provide the best service. Thank you for going extra miles to give me the best experience! He's a keeper, REI.

I would like to give the staff 5 🌟 but then they might also start to think that they are as awesome as I do, and I can not have that. Customer service at this REI should be the benchmark that other businesses aspire to. Thank you for another successful visit, and here is the kicker... I did not buy anything in the store. The clerk helped me to get it online with my phone as the item was not available except at the Outlet.

I just love this store. REI is a great place to shop in general, but this location in particular just always seems extra clean and extra friendly 🥰

Have not been impressed with this REI. I came in for something that was supposedly in stock and turns out they don’t have it. Great. It’s also relatively small compared to other REI’s I’ve been to and the clothing section is disorganized. Overall, it’s meh.

I’m giving REI a one star review for many reasons. First of all, their warranty is garbage. I know it use to be 10 years and people were abusing it, BUT they continue to carry products that are subpar. Another reason I’m giving them a one star review is that it seems more and more products are excluded from that 20% member coupon. Another reason is their REI Outlet store is uesless. They NEVER have the size you want. Final reason is their pricing has become ridiculous!

They have good equipment and sometimes you can catch something on sale for a good price, other wise things are very expensive here. They do not have the great return policy they used to. Some sales persons are knowledgeable and very helpful, but others not so much.

Has a comprehensive supply of gear, and the helpful staff can order things online. The prices are REI prices, but stuff is very good quality. You can look for discounts during sales. Decent bike shop. I've had positive experiences with the bike shop.

I was just looking. They have a lot of camping gear, hiking and bikes accessories. Outdoor clothing. Friendly and helpful staff.

Unfortunately they didn't have a bike tire, 26x1.85. They offered to order it but I figured I might as well do it on my own. I was hoping for a quick fix.

Both Chris’ are awesome! I brought in a backpack I bought elsewhere and they were both super helpful about getting it fitted to me and they helped set me up with a nice daypack as well!

Heather was amazingly helpful and knowledgeable. She assisted us, and multiple other customers, on a busy Saturday morning and consistently checked in with us and answered all of our questions. Exceptional service! Exceptional attitude!

Membership is required for some of their sales. It's affordable, but be aware of this so you're not caught off guard. I paid 30 as of 5/22/23. The co op bikes are beastly. I was given solid information pertaining to it and how to prevent brake lock up. Also there is a 15 dollar bike tax, for a good cause, that is added on for new bike purchases.

Alexandra ‘Allie’ was an absolute hoot. Thank you for being such a lively soul. Your energy makes the world a better place! Thanks for the help and patience with my returns :)

Always a pleasure visiting my local REI. Well organized and spacious lay out and friendly employees to boot. Bike shop is reasonable (although it's still crazy how much bike repair cost). Also great for online purchases with in store pickup.

Excellent service. They take good care of all bikes, and the work they do is great as well.

Got my bike repaired at the bike shop. They ended up popping my tire and cannot tell the difference between a 6 month old tire and an extremely old tire. They were nice but it was a bit of a slow process.

Just moved to Oregon and needed some shoes for hiking and work(standing all day). The guy working in the Shoe department was pretty amazing. I wish I would have gotten his name. Very knowledgeable, very helpful, couldn't ask for a better experience. The cashiers were great too. Very impressed.

Diego was extremely knowledgable about products and easily could compare and contrast different items in the store. He was up to date with what things costed and was familiar with the layout of the store. When he was asked where things were instead of telling us' he walked us over and made sure that we found exactly what we were looking for. He was even knowledgeable about what brands were compatible with other brands. We will be coming to this REI from now on opposed to the clackamas store.

Marlaine from the clothing department was so helpful and sweet!! She helped outfit me for a hiking trip I have coming up next spring. Without her I don’t think I would be as prepared, can she just come with me??

Always a great experience. Staff is fantastic - helpful and knowledgeable. Great selection. The biggest problem is that I always find a million things I want and I can't afford to buy everything.

Andrew in the bike department was very informative and helpful today during my bike purchase. The store was well organized and the staff was friendly. Plenty of parking in the area as well. Will definitely come back.

I always receive great service at REI, but the bike section workers are great! They are always honest and never push me to buy anything that I don't want or feel the need to buy. Great for window shopping as well.
