Wanted to give this place a try I wanted to love it , Unfortunately to say it was horrible is an understatement. Came here with my family . Upon first walking in The smell of mildew and mold hit my nose. I SHOULD'VE Left at that moment. The waitress was nice ,seemed as if she was always in a rush however ,even though there was only 10 people in the restaurant in total , 5 of which was my family . I ordered the Grilled Grouper and shrimp - order comes out - it's battered . Waitress goes and fixes the order . Food comes back out in less then 10 minutes and MY FISH WAS RAW. SHRIMP AND GROUPER RAW !!!! No seasoning what so ever . My daughter ordered the ropa Veja and the rice was crunchy and the meat tasted like whatever pot it was stored in. My son ordered the kids burger which tasted like rubber . He gagged on it twice trying to eat it . Was just a horrible experience all the way around.

YUM! Food was FANTASTIC! Sat at bar due to limited seating! Bartender was very polite! Food came out quick! Loved the Cuban sandwich, chips and pickle. Iced tea was refreshing! Everything on the menu is awesome. Since been back 10+ times and this place is the BEST! John is a fantastic bartender. Salads are great! Updated pics!

My son and I stopped in on our way home from kayaking at E G. Simmons Park. I really loved every aspect of my meal. The place is really nice and comfortable inside. The murals are spectacular. The Cuban music in the background adds to the experience. The food is all fresh. We started with salads and Cuban bread. Their salads are not your average run of the mill kind; they are flavorful. We had a meat sampler with their pulled pork and other Cuban dishes. My son picked up the quality of their pulled pork right away, "it's not dry, like most places" he told me.

Just picked up a take out order. The crabs are not cooked. The Cuban sandwich was to be pressed they are not. Called an talked to Brian manager I guess. He was not helpful at all. Very dissatisfied. So please if you want good food might want to rethink your choice!

Really enjoyed grouper supreme. Also great chicken and rice. Nice clam chowder. The photo is a half portion of the grouper. It's worth ordering. Great service by Angie.

Nice and clean restaurant. This is a one time visit, they charge extra for everything (.35 for lettuce .35 for tomatoes if you order a sandwich and $2.00 for chips). The food was just ok. The steak sandwich didn’t have any flavor. Not authentic Cuban rice and beans. The Ropa Vieja was good. The portions were ok for the price.

We loved the food and definitely will be going back. We had a 20 min wait and it was well worth it. We talked to some couples while waiting and the over all atmosphere was on point. Even though they seemed to be very busy, was still on point. Their staff worked as a team to making sure everyone was taken care of. You don't see this very much anymore. If you are ever in the area, this is a great place to try.

Our waitress is so friendly and has good suggestions for our meal , we are so full and happy about our dinner here! At the end , we tried guava cheesecake and Cuban coffee, it’s perfect ending!

A nice little place that seems to be a fusion between Cuban, Puerto Rican, and Tex-Mex. Unfortunately they don’t really specialize in either one it seems. The food is definitely tasty though. The servers are super friendly which was nice. As for food, we loved the plantains, the tres leches cake, the bread pudding is the best I have ever had, the ropa vieja is super tasty, as well as the roasted pork, and the palomilla steak sandwich was really nice. The fried grouper had some of the best cream sauce I have ever tasted Some food we thought could use improvement was the devil crab appetizer and the picadillo was kinda bland and dry for us. Anyways, we probably would come back again at some point!

Great Cuban food! We had a late lunch. We were seated quickly and served within a reasonable amount of time. Family oriented atmosphere with a cool vibe. Plenty of room for a small group. Very affordable. House made Sangria w/sugar rim was my favorite part. It was mildly sweet and very tasty. Cuban sandwich was good and met our expectations. Chicken mojo was a bit dry for my preference, but it still good. I think it really depends on who’s in the kitchen preparing the food. It’s easy to slightly overcook chicken breast, especially if it’s been marinated in a citrus brine. I asked for a side of dipping sauce for my chips and also put some on my mojo chicken sandwich. They brought out a small homemade salad dressing. It was good. Spanish potatoes are not the kind that have been cubed and cooked with sofrito red sauce. They are a house made potato chip w/a sofrito blend seasoning. Restaurant appeared to be clean. Bathrooms could’ve been a bit cleaner. All in all, we had a good experience and would return with other guests.

We love this place. We don't stop in as much as we probably should. Probably a good thing we don't for the waist lines, wow. The service is always excellent. The food is always excellent. The portions are always massive. If you leave here hungry, it's you're own fault. I do not recall being able to finish a full meal. Had a quick visit for a Cuban and chips that did nit disappoint.

Unassuming from the outside, but bustling business inside. Garlic anything is to die for. Strongly suggest the salad topped with chicken and avocado with the garlic aioli dressing. Bread was sub-par. Excellent service. Up-scale crowd on this Saturday night.

Followed appropriate c-19 requirements. Busy evening (saturday). I had the grouper sandwich which I don't recommend. Dinner partner had the Piccadilly, which is always very good. Servious was good.

First time in this place and I paid 53.00 for a Steak Sandwich not even with flavor and a Yellow Rice with Peas (really) and a Leg quarter piece of chicken (called arroz con pollo). We are Latinos and we now what real arroz con pollo should be... Didn’t like the food and 53.00 just for two items They will never going to see me again and not a positive recommendation from me.. Good Luck!!!

Excellent and will definitely be back. As a Tampa a native I love finding Cuban restaurants and this one will stay on my list. Ybor salad with the balsamic blue cheese dressing was so perfect. Their version of ranch dressing was on point too. Cuban and palomia sandwiches for lunch were a great choice. Great environment and friendly staff.

I went here to eat I believe it was Tuesday CC was the bartender I sat at the bar it was just myself she is very friendly and nice to talk to. The food is really really good I will definitely go back this is the first I had been there in a while because of the krone virus. Their portions are good sized also and it is very open and wheelchair friendly my husband is disabled he wasn’t with me this time butSomewhere that I would take him. If you have not been yet you have definitely got to go.

I've been driving by here for a while. I decided to try it. The place is nice and quaint. The service was good and my server was attentive. My palomilla steak sandwich was very good. My other choice, a Cuban was ok. It was hot on the outside but cold inside. Tasty none the less. I'll go back to try other items!

Best sangria ever! Cuban sandwiches are always delicious and the devil crabs are full of meat and are the best I've tasted. Price is a little high for them but it's worth it.

The food looked great but really was more in the bland side. I am Cuban so I’m used to more seasoning but otherwise good.

Ordered meatloaf thinking it was a simple and safe choice but was disappointed with the lack of flavor for a Cuban restaurant. Not sure if they thought the sweet tomatoes on top would enhance the flavor? Bean soup was delicious along with the garlic potatoes.

Was actually surprised at how good the food was. A little pricey (isn’t everything right now); but, actually worth it. Will return again for sure! I do wish they were more attentive with drink refills and would have preferred the Cuban bread to be pressed. Still not worth knocking off a star).

Ordering to go (in person). They close at 9 and it's 8:20. Lady said to order "the sooner the better." Then a waiter walked up and said to her (loudly), "we're still seating?! We close soon!" Pork sandwich is good, tastes like an Italian beef (with au jus). Grouper sandwich was horrendous. Tasteless.

Daughter and I were here for lunch. We were seated very quickly. It was about 12:15pm on a Tuesday. Was fairly busy but server was very good. She had a couple other tables but seemed to handle it all effortlessly. Food was brought out in a reasonable amount of time and was all cooked just fine. Daughter had a Cuban sandwich. I had the salad and it was very fresh. We also had the mini potato balls and they were excellent 👌! Took a deviled crab to go and my honey liked it. It was very clean and table was bussed quick. Did not visit the restroom. Prices are a little on the high side but it is worth it IMHO.

I enjoyed this place. It was comfortable inside and the wait staff friendly and attentive. I got the taste of Ybor with sides of plantains and some sort of bean soup. It also came with bread and an interesting butter. Everything was totally up to par and even brought some leftovers home to eat later.

Cindy is an excellent server. We were treated like royalty. The food is always delicious. I like the Cuban sandwich and my companion must have the bean soup. We will eat here whenever we are in the neighborhood. I highly recommend!

To all considering trying out Ybor Grille... My family have been loyal patrons of this restaurant for over 15 years. We highly suggest you give it a try for lunch or dinner. Cece is our recommendation, if you want to have exceptional service. Our favorite dishes are Picadillo, Devil Crabs, Shrimp Alajillo and Spanish Potatoes (like homemade potato chips). Everything is served in generous portions and tastes delicious! ♡ :-) ♡

I really wanted to like this place since it’s so close to where we live and e just moved to the area. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. There was no wait when we arrived, which was a plus! We ordered our food and there were hardly any people in the restaurant so we thought we would get it fairly quickly. We waited about 30 min or so, which is a bit too long in my opinion. We got the devil crab as an appetizer, and I was not a fan. I have had deviled crab in Tampa and it was very different than this, better in my opinion. For dinner I got the mojo chicken sandwich. It literally had no seasoning on it at all. It was just a dry piece of bland chicken. Sad. My partner got some kind of chicken in a wine sauce and garlic mashed potatoes. The chicken was pretty good, but it was basically just like chicken Parmesan. The mashed potatoes were terrible. They were bland, with no seasoning. You couldn’t even taste the garlic. Nothing. I ended up bringing my sandwich home so I could add seasoning to it and somewhat enjoy it. The place is cute, but for $38 I will go somewhere else.

I arrived late to lunch but the nice waitress kept my friend looked after. Once I arrived things went very well. Again service was nice, food was good and has been each time I've gone there.

Very good fillet cooked to perfection (for me anyway) medium rare more toward the rare side. It was very tender and tasted good all by itself. The service was fantastic. Angie was our waitress. She was very attentive, very friendly, all in all did a very good job. I look forward to going back.

Great pricing for the quality of food. I had the Ybor Bowl with chicken, and a side of the plantains, it was great! Portions are generous. Location is great, lots of parking, so that's nice. A ramp for Handicap accessibility.
