Great atmosphere, really utilized the beach bar/restaurant feel. Neat and clean inside. We were also surprised to see they had live entertainment which was excellent and allowed for a great atmosphere while eating. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. We had 6 in our party and everyone was very pleased with their dinner. Option to eat inside or outside and both areas were very nice. We will definitely be back again.

Sunset Grill & Beach Bar has been our favorite place to hang by the beach with food & drinks since we have been in the area. Plenty of parking around the area. They have a ton of indoor/outdoor seating options as well as a full bar right by the beach. The servers are extremely professional. Our drinks and food were great. Mixed drinks are a little expensive, but that’s to be expected at a beach bar. This is right on Bahia Beach. It can be a little busy with beach goers during the day. The beach views are stunning. Beach visitors apparently use the same facilities, so the bathrooms are not exactly the cleanest. People abuse the complimentary amenities. We will happily return and continue to recommend the Sunset Grill & Beach Bar.

This is the second time we have been here. The first time, we only had desert and drinks, and the key lime pie and cheesecake were wonderful. So we happily returned to try the entrees. We were greeted by a pleasant waitress who described the daily specials to us. For an appetizer we had the Seafood Bisque which was delicious. We both decided on the Crab Stuffed Salmon with risotto and steamed veggies. The salmon was a nice size filet however it came out very dry and was clearly overcooked. The outside edges of the salmon were almost inedible they were so dry and crunchy. The crab stuffing was just “ok” and was lack luster at best. It too was dry and overcooked. So dry in fact that pressing it with a fork yielded more “dry flake than form” because it lacked any moisture at all. A good crab stuffing should be cooked obviously but still maintain its moisture and texture. The risotto was tasty in its cream sauce and had a good consistency. The side of steamed veggies is not even worth mentioning. They came out cold with insufficient seasoning. We both opted-out of eating the veggies. A mediocre meal across the board. Would we return? Absolutely - for the desert only.

I have been visiting my son & his family here in Florida for 5 weeks &, on a recommendation from a local, we decided to try the Sunset Grill for my last night here before going back home. This was HANDS DOWN the best dining experience I had during my entire 5 week stay. The best crab cakes I've ever had, too! We all ordered something different & every bit of it was delicious! We were all eating off of each other's plates! AND. THAT. VIEW!!! DEFINITELY plan for a later dinner to get the full effect of the panoramic sunset over the water. Seriously STUNNING!! My only suggestion would be to add fans to the outside eating area to help with the heat issue. We sat outside to better take in the view but it was uncomfortably hot & sticky & a fan would've really helped. Other than that, absolutely zero complaints. The bar area is really cool, too, & the whole vibe is just total tropical fun!! HIGHLY recommend!!! Thank you for helping end my stay with a bang! ❤

My husband and I came here for a date night and sat outside, it was a little brisk but they had heaters so we were comfortable. Our server was Abby and she was fantastic! She made amazing recommendations and I asked her opinion on what I should get and she did not disappoint! She was super honest about the dishes I asked about and as a former server, I love that so much! She was on top of making sure our drinks were filled and our empty plates were cleared, we didn’t feel rushed and she was such a pleasant person to have wait on us! I highly recommend this restaurant and if you want to top off your dining experience, I would absolutely recommend requesting Abby! 10/10 would recommend! We had a lovely time and had a great table for sunset. I was a bit surprised by the bill at the end, it was an average of $42 per person and three people had hamburgers but we did have a couple appetizers and drinks i suppose. I had the jambalaya pasta, it was very tasty. My wife enjoyed most of the fresh catch sampler but the fish was a little dry she said, but loved the shrimp and scallop. Overall we had a good time and the service was good. I would go back but i would pay closer attention to what all we ordered.

I love the food. The grouper fingers are really good. Prices are just right for portion sizes. Servers are so much fun and very cheerful. I also love music. The DJ was really great. Parking is easy, and there is a sign out front giving good instructions.

Great hidden resort style restaurant. Good food selection with good prices. Great service; very friendly and knowledgeable. They offer military discounts as well. They have indoor and outdoor dining with live music. Call ahead, sometimes they are crowed, but do not take reservations. They can accommodate most size parties and also have an event room and staff. Enjoy the sunsets and a walk on the beach or pier.

Beautiful view of sunset and the city over the bay! Food was fantastic! Highly recommend the calamari planks and the grouper dish was awesome as well. The Sunset brisket sandwich was ok. We waited 30 min for Bar drinks. 15 min for tea. Other than that everything was great!

We love this place!! All the food was delicious, and the service was great! Heidi was our bartender and she gave us great recommendations for food, especially the Rockefeller oysters… a 30 year old recipe made to perfection! The beautiful view is a great added touch!

Best fish tacos I've ever had -- and that's saying a lot because I love fish tacos! This restaurant has it all: food, service, atmosphere, and price! I was staying in the adjoining resort while on business. Ended up eating here four nights in a row -- fish tacos every night! Fresh fish, seasoned just right, with a nice selection of side items to choose from. Everything else looked good too. The service was excellent, attentive, and friendly. Dine inside, under the covered patio outside, or in the open air. Live music -- good, too -- every night. Gorgeous view of the sun setting over Tampa Bay with St. Petersburg in the distance. Then delicious Key Lime Pie, which is a shareable size, for dessert. I'll be back!

First time here did not know what to expect, it was very busy. The sunset view as amazing and the beach was too. The outside bar was very nice but packed. I tried the crab cakes with risotto and the seasonal vegetables, it was very good. My SO had the cheeseburger with fries, he enjoy it very much. It was a very nice place to visit especially during our beautiful summer nights. I’ll definitely return to enjoy their live music and outside bar.

Great experience! Great views and a nice pier to take a post-meal walk. Live music created such a wonderful atmosphere on top of the waterside ambience. Yummy food! The crab stuffed salmon was delicious. Patty was a fantastic and attentive server! Very friendly and accommodating. Knowledgeable and understanding! Definitely planning to return!

Want here for a lazy Sunday early dinner. Right on the water so a great option for a view. Service was good. Our waiter was fairly attentive. Could've had another refill on drinks but overall it was great. We had the Crab Cake dinner and Shimp Pasta. The crab cakes were very good, best I've found in the Tampa area so far. The shrimp was supposed to be blackened - that was not the case here. But the overall flavors were good. There's live music later on which we caught a few minutes of on our way out. Wish it was playing the entire time. Overall it was a good dinner.

Beautiful location on the water with a view of St Petersburg. A big variety on the menu including soup, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and seafood. Do NOT pay for parking via the website in the parking lot. Just give the restaurant your license plate number for free parking. You'll save yourself $6.95.

Well to begin, I drove to this place several times and sat in what thought was their parking lot (it's the parking lot for the "private beach"). A few days ago I decided to go inside and to my surprise it's a lot bigger than I thought. BTW, I was actually sitting in the back of the restaurant 🤭. I met Heidi, Oscar, Suzy, and I believe a manager who very happily served me my order 🤗. I will be returning at least once a month 😃🤗👍🏾.

Beautiful atmosphere, awesome music that brought everybody together of all sorts. Just having lots of fun and dancing together with no cares. Also gorgeous sunset with me trying to be a photographer with my iPhone.

Unfortunately we went on a freezing cold rainy day. We didn't get to take advantage of eating outside on the water at this beautiful location. It was very picturesque from inside. Food was good but overpriced. If you are going to eat beach side that's what you will pay. Service was prompt and pleasant. Will go again on a warm sunny day.

First time here with my whole family and we had great vibes! The food was very good, aside from too much salt in the fries for the whole family we have no complaints. We had shrimp, wings, and tacos all good and would get again. The Alfredo pasta was pretty bland. Rum punch is delicious! Beware of the seagulls looking for food, they get pretty close! Great place for a date night!!

Beautiful view, subpar food. Not worth the money. Five of us ate dinner one of us ordered something good (fried shrimp). The rest were extremely disappointed with our grilled fish entrees.

Fantastic location! We were there for lunch. Fish and chips was OK. Bland tarter sauce. Fish was cooked well. Jambalaya pasta was just OK as well. Looked appealing, just not a lot of flavor. Expensive for lunch, but the outdoor tables made it enjoyable. Courteous staff.

Beautiful sunny day with a clear view of St Pete across the bay. Nice breezes, but a horrible smell at the outside bar! The water looked as if there was a spill of some sort.. dark and with something dark in color covering the rocks. It smelled as if a sewer line had busted. We decided to go inside. The tables are older with scratched wood and it felt run down. The menus were sticky and outdated in printing. The waitress couldn’t answer our questions Vader kept getting “ I don’t know for an answer.” She was sweet and perhaps just needed more training. The manager decided to have s meeting on the floor with all employees which seemed disrespectful to the few guests trying to dine and enjoy a drink. The so called “bucket” of Rum Runner was so small and there was more to drink in the water cups that came out. At a price if $25!! We decided not to eat of even have an appetizer. We would have loved to see fish dip in the menu instead of loaded tater tots or blue cheese topped chips. We were definitely expecting so much more from this establishment. A disappointment for sure!

Delicious food and good service! Love that you can enjoy your meal right on the water. Our party loved the meal and drinks. Then a walk on the beach when done. Great place everyone local should experience this place . St.pete across the water. Beautiful sunsets. Don't forget to validate your parking while at the restaurant. They validate up to 3 hours which was fine with me since it's 5$ an hour now. I will say, 28$ for the "bucket" was pitiful. Used to get a fish bowl in an actual fish bowl for around this price with candy! Maybe a little more but the price was steep for what you get.

The Atmosphere was worth a 5 star rating. The perfect view on the beach while watching the sunset was breathe taking. The food was pretty good I had the coconut shrimp. I didn't like how it a little while for the server to get to me being that it wasn't crowded. But overall I would give this place an 7 for the service and food and a 10 for the view.

We stayed the week in Little Harbor for Thanksgiving/Wedding. My husband Patrick and I got married in the gazebo behind the restaurant. My wedding party and guests proceeded into the prepared dining room to enjoy some appetizers, drinks and dinner. All my guests boasted about the Salmon, Beef tips, and Blackened Shrimp Pasta. The bisque is out of this world. The wait staff did such a great job and Kudos go out to Savannah the manager who handled our party. Some of us took the party outside and listened to the live band and Stephan the bartender took great care of us. We ate there a few times before and will definitely return. Thank you Sunset Grill for the great memories.

Overall a good experience... Slight mix up with the order but the server was quick to fix. The quality of the food was very, very good and the atmosphere was great. We will definitely stop in again next time we are in the area.

Paydra was a pleasure! The food came out on time, she gave great recommendations and made sure our parking was validated. We’ll certainly be back and will encourage family and friends to visit as well.

The view at sunset is spectacular. Lots of sea views from outside dinning area. The service was great, I had the fish and chips, it was so, so... The biggest upset was that none of the micro draft I would have liked was available, not just one or two. Not one local micro brew!? Cool atmosphere, the building and surrounding seems old and dated. Part of it is closed down? Good parking space. The live music was nice, the place was busy Saturday evening. A little touristy. Not somewhere I plan to return to be honest but I feel like it was worth the visit.

I had the grouper Oscar which is grilled grouper topped with a giant crab cake and drizzled with a creamy shrimp sauce on a bed of rice and asparagus! The flavors were all there! The fish was flaky and juicy! The crab cake was filled with chunks of crab meat! My friend had the grouper sandwich with a slice of American cheese. The fried grouper was so big it hung off both sides of the bun! We also shared fried calamari and coconut shrimp! Everything was fresh and flavorful! Outside seating is available as well as indoor dining. There was a live band playing great music that just sets the vibe! Great atmosphere and the staff is super friendly and gave great suggestions! After dinner you can walk the dock or sit by the fire pit.

Located in Ruskin, FL on the waterfront offers inside and outdoor seating. Weekends karioke and live bands outside. For a quieter visit where you can have a conversation without raising your voice, sit in the enclosed bar area. Service is very good, food is average bar food with wide variety of seafood and steaks. Take a walk on pier after dinner and see Tampa's amazing lit up city.

Sunset, live music and staff were great! Food was so-so. The kids had a pizza kids meal where the pizza had tons of sauce, but barely any cheese. My beef tips were well seasoned and tasty, however they were very fatty with grizzle so I had to dig for the actual meat which was annoying. It felt like they cooked up the fat they trimmed of everyone else's steaks instead of your typical beef tips. Mixed drinks were great!

Had Brunch Buffet with bottomless mimosas. The Buffet was $25 per person and $10 extra for bottomless mimosas. Food was good. The prime rib was amazing. They had eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns, omelet station, prime rib carving station, mussels, shrimp, crab legs, salad bar, fruit and more. Nice views as is Located right on the beach.

I really enjoy this place! A lot closer to me than having to drive to Sarasota County for water front/beachy type casual dining. Had an excellent lunch, starting off with their amazing calamari...yum!

My sister was visiting and I wanted a nice place on the water to have lunch before she left. The food was outstanding, she got a chicken caeser salad and I got the fish and chips. Huge pieces of fish for me and her chicken was beautifully grilled and seasoned. Definitely going back, oh and the view was great.

Nice place, good food, good service. Problem was the bill. When I got my receipt I saw the standard billing tip is 25%. I didn't realize this because the waiter totaled the bill plus tip on a hand held computer then printed the receipt. I question the standard 25% tip. The waiter said he would have the manager reduce the tip to 20%. I received a new receipt showing a 20% tip. Later I checked my Visa statement and it was still 25%. Not much money just the principal.

Came from Clearwater area to visit friends, came here to eat dinner. All I can say is absolutely horrible service, bacon meatloaf was NOT any better. The only nice thing was the girl singing. Won't return Reply to owner- We honestly don't remember her name she had no voice from screaming so loud all night she said. We had to ask several ppl for service, napkins, drinks etc. We had to wait to be seated on the patio by the bar when there was 3 empty tables. Than 2 ladies sat themselves when they came in from the side. We were upset about this also.

They ruined the view of the bay and sunsets by extending a bar across the whole view. Horrible! So disappointed that they couldn’t pick another spot to add more bar seating.

This place is really good. The food is made fresh and the waterside dining is amazing. Sunday brunch is $25 and a buffet. Perfect place to watch the sunset with your significant other. The food is made to order by a chef and the food was amazing. The meatloaf was really good and the blackened chicken pasta was delicious as well. I had the seafood bisque soup which was delicious. The service was amazing, we were attended to very nicely. Will worth a look if you get the chance to come here. They have a resort where you can stay and rent a room. It is a little pricey, but that's what you get when you're on the water.

Gotta go Monday evenings for the karaoke.. Great entertainment! Beautiful scenery and atmosphere..My drink was pretty good.
