Guest service is the WORST I have ever experienced in my life. I literally had to go to a reservation manager to get any type of reasonable service. Even she was not entirely able to make the stay better. I know you can hire people to leave positive reviews for your business with Google and clearly this company has. I am an actual person leaving an actual review! Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. Anywhere else!!

1000% recommended. One of the best stays thus far! Perfect location! Smack in the middle of everything! Let me tell you about convenience…Everything is in a 5 minute radius! You can walk, run or hover around. I’ll be back!

This is a fun Resort with lots to do. The quality is great and the nice weather always helps. The restaurants on site are good and they have many trails for walking and bikes. Easy to get to on island and to travel about. Ocean view was great and The Arthur Hills golf was very nice, but over priced.

Overall great experience! Loved being able to access our rental with a code - hassle free when we came in pretty late. The location couldn’t be better, and the resort commodities meant we didn’t need to leave if we didn’t want to! We were very comfortable and felt almost like we were at home. Only cons: WiFi was terrible - constantly disconnecting even after a router & modem reboot, and the villa could have used some minor TLC (towel holder in bathroom almost torn off the wall, things a little scuffed up here and there)

Palmetto dunes has to fix their horrible and inefficient parking system. I am staying in queens grant and this is our last time staying in palmetto dunes and possibly even Hilton head after coming here for years. My 64 year old mother was told last night after we came home from dinner by the extremely rude security staff (a whole other issue) and there was not even ONE parking spot for the unit she spent thousands renting that parking is “first come, first serve” and “you can try parking at the general store and we might not tow you”. Her and 5 other vehicles are at the security checkpoint with the same issue. So she parked at the general store and walked at 11pm to her unit which was 0.75 miles away. At 715 am there was pounding on her door telling her to “move the vehicle or it will be towed, the general store is private property”. So she walked back to the store and moved her vehicle into a space that had opened up in the complex. This is insane. The properties are overbooked and claiming “two” parking spaces for each unit but there isn’t even ONE. It’s unacceptable. On top of that the shuttle shuts down at 9pm! How is this efficient? I feel like the guests are here to please palmetto dunes and palmetto dunes is here to please themselves. I am done with this “resort”. I could complain about a million other things (rude staff, overcrowded, mosquitos, TOO MANY RULES) but it you can’t park your vehicle what does that matter?? We are too scared to even leave our parking spots at this point. Unbelievable.

Came to Palmetto Dunes with a group of 8 for a long weekend golf trip. The check-in process was a disaster. The homeowner did not provide any check-in details, and the expectation from all the emails leading up to the trip was we'd get the keys at the front desk. We ended up playing an afternoon round of golf before check-in, so we went to the after hours check-in. There were no instructions on how to access the lockbox or a pin for the house (ironically we weren't the only group in this situation). Fortunately, security called Rob and he was very helpful & generated a new pin for the house. I'm guessing most guests fly in from around the country to stay at the resort, so allotting a 3-hour window for all check-ins made the process stressful. Our house was great, but we did find several cockroaches throughout the stay which was a little off-putting (the house was clean when we arrived, so I was very surprised). All 3 courses were in great condition, and the staff at each course were very welcoming. All 3 courses were in great condition for September. The restaurant at Robert Trent Jones was great, but the appetizers at Arthur Hills were less than desirable. Overall we had a great time, but there were several items that could've made our experience better.

Looking for 3 very different and challenging resort courses in Hilton Head? If so, don't miss Palmetto Dunes. You will want for nothing. There is plenty of places to eat & drink, the range is exceptional, and the carts are loaded with the latest GPS! Hitt'm straight!

This is our family's home away from home when we visit Hilton Head. There are plenty of options for dining, activities, and relaxation. Check-in and check-out are simple. It's very popular for a reason, so book early.

You stole our car. Apparently this occurs very often, we woke up our last day ready to leave and saw that our car was missing. We had our parking ticket in the dashboard so it was visible, and you took our car anyway. It seems like you guys are just trying to make money off of people and steal their cars. This is completely unacceptable. We called multiple different people including security and they did not help whatsoever. Everyone who has gotten they’re car taken FROM HERE has every right to be upset.

We are big fans of Palmetto Dunes, and have stayed on the resort more than once. This time we stayed in Barrington Arms. This location is perfect! Right on the ocean, nice pool, great view, everything you could want! We had a large party and found a perfect accommodation for all of us. Large, well appointed with three bedrooms and three baths. Fully equipped kitchen, televisions, wifi, great couch area for all of us to gather at night, large table and chairs to share meals, etc. Really, it was perfect. Nice balcony overlooking the pool and the ocean. I watched the sun rise more than once from the balcony. Easy reservations, contactless check in and check out. Everyone was very nice! The resort is well maintained, and the General Store is a MUST visit! Breakfast on the porch of the General Store is a tradition - and the food is amazing! In addition to the General Store, the food at Big Jim's and The Dunes House is fantastic. Big Jim's was our choice for a late evening dinner when we arrived. Great service, great food. We went to Dunes House on our last day. Ocean front dining - what more can you ask? There are a lot of places to stay in HHI, but we'll always go back to Palmetto Dunes!

My family has stayed at this resort for years when we go to HHI. It is centrally located to everything in the island. Beach is clean. Pool is clean and the resort is very clean. Maintenance is very responsive and everyone there makes it easy for you to enjoy your vacation.

We actually did not get to come for our stay due to a last minute illness. It was a spur of the moment booking and what a mistake with this rental company! I booked a villa through the rental side for my mother’s 90th birthday but was unable book until a about a week before due to the uncertainty of her being able to travel. I purchased the travel insurance and sure enough, she got sick the day before the start of our reservation. I called the office to determine what we needed to do and I was told to contact the insurance company to start a claim. Well, I called them and even though Palmetto Dunes rental company had already collected the fees, they had no record of my policy or a policy # assigned to our reservation. After three phone calls and over a day later trying to find out what happened, Brandy finally called me back. She was totally unconcerned and told me they don’t submit the insurance information until the 15th of the following month. So, I will be unable to even start a claim until over a month after our scheduled stay. Beware…don’t book a last minute trip through this company. And due to their complete lack of concern and no response for 24 hours, I personally will not book through them even if I was planning something a year in advance! We love Palmetto Dunes and always our choice when visiting Hilton Head…but will definitely choose another rental company.

We had a great time for our stay at 9 Promontory Court! The home is beautiful and spacious and had everything we needed in it. Palmetto Dunes had plenty to do to keep everyone busy, and was a beautiful place to stay. The only thing I would warn against is renting surfboards--the waves on Hilton Head Island are not big enough for surfing, so that turned out to be a waste of money. We will definitely be back!

Quick trip south to golf for the weekend, place we rented was upgraded recently and resort was top notch with staff everywhere that was very helpful and knowledgeable. Stop in the general store, it has all you need. It was like being a kid in a candy store. Will return again.

My team recently visited Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort for business. It was our first time to the resort. We spent 3 nights, which included a Fazio Villa, 18 holes at the Robert Trent Jones Oceanfront Golf Course, dinner at Alexander's Restaurant & Wine Bar, a star-lit stroll at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina, and much more! All staff were exceedingly kind, the scenery was splendid, and the resort was pleasantly quite peaceful. Look forward to visiting again some time soon!
