D went above and beyond to help us out with an ice cream cake for my daughter’s birthday. He is friendly, helpful and kind. It’s our second time celebrating a family member’s birthday with one of Kilwin’s delicious ice cream cakes.

Kilwins is always good. We have been to several of them all around, but this location is one of our favorites. Max is the owner is a great guy and always very helpful when I see him. I know that staffing for a business over the last couple of years has been very difficult. We have been to this location many times and have never had a bad experience. My wife and I went there for date night the other night for some quick dessert on our way home. We know the ice cream is ALWAYS GOOD! When you walk in the doors, the aroma of chocolates and candy fills the place. The staff has always been very friendly to us, even when they are outrageously busy. We love this place, and will definitely be back. The location at shelter Cove gives you a great opportunity to grab your ice cream and walk around to view the shops and the park toward the back.

Our son is allergic to egg and the girl was SO kind and caring about his allergy. They made a special accommodation to make sure he could have ice cream safely! At 2 years old, he was finally able to safely eat ice cream at an ice cream shop for the first time. We are so grateful, thank you!

Sunday May 14. Love the ice cream BUT could they be open when they say they’re open! Before we made the trip to get ice cream we called and the recording says they are open till 9 on Sunday. Much to our surprise when we arrived about 6:30 they were locked up, even thought the sign on the door says open till 9 on Sunday. We went to to Sea Pines to enjoy our ice cream and they were open. I don’t know if I’ll give them a chance with ice cream even though I love their ice cream.

Our party of 8 tried to order 2 scoop sundaes and was told by female server that we were not able to do so. I was Totally taken back as to why we were not able to order 2 scoops of ice cream in the form of a sundae. At first I thought she was joking then soon realized that she was not. We were told that if we wanted 2 scoops that we were forced to upgrade to a waffle bowl. I explained to her that most of our party did not want to upgrade to a waffle bowl. She then disappeared to the other side of the restaurant and spoke with the girl making waffle cones/bowls. I stood at the counter for at least 15 minutes watching her walk around. Our bill was over $65 dollars and we left scratching our heads. There was no communication breakdown as she knew exactly what we were trying to order. I called the restaurant the next morning and was told management would not be in until after 4 pm. So I emailed management from their website. It has been 2 days now and I still have Not heard back from anyone. They have my money and are apparently happy with that. I advise to Not patronize this establishment and be told that you can only order 1 scoops after waiting in a line out the door. Rip Off

A young girl in a pink shirt was rude to customers about using the exit door. Then had a Kroger grocery bag and unloaded her food. She continuously licked her fingers. After licking her fingers many times, she walked around the store and gathered up a drink and other things touching them. I let her know how disgusting it was from a customers point of view. Other customers witnessed it too and left without a purchase. Please speak to your employees about sanitary manners! Thanks

Really terrific ice cream shop. Ice cream is not my fav but my wife loves it. The waffle cones/bowls are made on site. Lots of high fat ice creams very creamy and delicious.

When you walk through the door, sweet aromas envelop you. None are overwhelming, and those scents compliment one another so well. I never come home with enough of their chocolate. I bought a sampling of their dark chocolate tuttles, caramels, and cremes.

Plain and simply Inconsistency is an understatement. We spent over $25 for four singles scoops and they all two had noticeably less than the others. When we questioned it up front and complained the old dark haired man just ignored us. They were more concerned about closing up than caring. Will never go to another killings again. I should have used better judgment and not bought the ice cream.

I visited the other day. Everyone was so nice and kind and willing to serve. The girl with short colored hair was so nice she gave us kids stickers, made sure we had enough napkins and spoons and also made sure we didn't need bowls for our cones!! 10/10 will surely be back. They were also super helpful with explaining where some stores were for us .

I've been to this shop on three different occasions within a 6 day period. Each time there was a waiting line. Do not get discouraged. What awaits you inside is well worth the wait. The staff make themselves available to answer any and all questions about ice cream, the varieties of what they sell, the different cones, sprinkles, nuts and please; make sure you grab a candied apple before you leave. If you want to see smiles on the kids faces, bring as many youngsters as you can find. This is a great place.

Amazing Ice Cream. It’s never cold enough though. They scoop it very easily, even looks melted in the jug. With the heat outside it’s a race to keep from half of it melting to the ground or all over you. Look around the benches/tables outside… common problem. For 7$ a waffle cone I would have expected a full waffle cone. Taste wise. Amazing… Usually a line every night after dark. Sometimes 30 min+ wait…

Good ice cream place that's open late (till 10pm) at Shelter cover. There was a really long line all the way outside to get it. Good customer service and friendly staff. Ice cream is really good. They have a variety of good flavors. Also have chocolates and fudge.

Great ice cream! We’ve never eaten at Kilwins and will definitely be back! Special thank you to Marisol. Someone in our party has an allergy and we asked if a fresh scoop could be used. She went above and beyond and got a fresh bin of ice cream. We are visiting from out of town, but I’ve never seen that in 12 years of going to I’ve cream places and it’s certainly not required and above and beyond the norm.

As a business owner I’m in awe of this ice cream shop. Staff is friendlier than any chic-fil-a staff I have encounter and that says a lot. The freshness of the desserts and cones were a delight to my tastebud.

Cones are made in the shop, very good! Ice cream was good, nothing that was mind blowing though! We had some of the pecan and cashew turtles, I’d say same conclusion with the chocolate that we had. Worth making a visit to for sure!

I usually have no issues when I go to this Kilwins. However yesterday I could not believe how rude the young lady behind the counter was. Store was empty which was very unusual but a pleasure as I figured I’d be in and out. The employee saw me come in stand in place to order looked at me walked away to get herself a soda. Being no one was there except person being assisted at register( came in behind me) to get fudge and treats so young man at register was busy. The young lady proceeded to come back open her soda leave to get a cup of ice put soda in and proceed to start to drink. At this point 8 people had walked in. When she turned around to face me I greeted her and then in a annoyed manor said oh really( I’m guessing to line increase) Usually their front freezer is full of prefilled ice cream containers but had cakes. I asked for 2 different ice creams in large containers to which she went to other employee who was busy stocking containers. He then asked again to what ice cream asked me to stand to side. Which was no problem as store began to fill. He handed me one container that ice cream had dripped all over I asked if I could have something to wipe off and very politely he took care. However went to fill second container got interrupted and long story short after 20 mins as the first customer I finally got what I ordered. I’ve never had this experience before and understand that staff can be hard to come by but the courtesy to customer was very lost. I’ll still come in as everyone deserves a second chance and good I’ve cream and fudge!

Could smell the cones from the street. The salted caramel ice cream is a 2-3x/year treat. Delicious! My wife had lemon sorbet and loved it!

They have really good chocolate shakes. It comes with a pound of ice cream. They are $14 each but very good quality. We also got turtles fudge and a cup of cookies and cream. It is a bit expensive. All of that was $40. They make their waffle cones in house too and you can watch them being made. They also have lots of other homemade candies

Go to Rita’s in Coligny if you want something worth your money. Over priced half baked quality and the owners made me never wanna come back be careful who you give franchise to. The bug on the counter was just the sprinkle I wanted to see before my ice cream.

Excellent staff, excellent ice cream, excellent hot chocolate. I wanted a milkshake, but they only have one size, and it contains too much ice cream for me. Aside from that, everything else was great!

👍👍 My daughter and I biked here from our condo for a mother-daughter outing. The staff was amazing, the donuts were absolutely out of this world! The best part? For as sweet as they look, that aren’t TOO sweet. They are best when fresh, but we took back a few for family members and they really enjoyed...
