This place is amazing. My daughter and her husband took my wife and I for a stroll through Wordens ledges. My wife and I kept walking while my son-in-law and daughter whent stand up board paddling in Hinckly lake. Why not send me a thumbs up? 👍

My family had an absolutely horrifying experience with this pontoon rental service. I'm not usually one to write reviews, but this situation really warrants a warning. We rented a pontoon that was moving slower than a snail - far from the exciting day out we had planned. But a slow ride alone wouldn't have driven me to write this review. The true nightmare began when, halfway into our trip, the engine quit on us, right near a waterfall. Picture this: my wife, kids, and I, stranded on a faulty pontoon, helplessly drifting towards a waterfall. Talk about a heart-stopping moment. The staff had initially struggled to get the pontoon started at the beginning, but they ignored it and handed us the keys anyway. When we ended up stranded and terrified, their response was far from swift or efficient. It took a while for them to figure out how to tow us back. In fact, I had to help out, holding one end of the rope. Clearly, they had no standard procedure in place for such emergencies. The older 2 ladies running the show (and bossing everyone around) didn't bother with an apology. They were more upset about their broken pontoon than our near-disaster experience. It was crystal clear they cared more about their equipment than the terrified and dissatisfied customers on hand. And you won't believe what happened next. Even when it was clear that the engine's failure wasn't our fault, their 'solution' was a half-hearted **partial** refund?!?!?! INCREDIBLY INSULTING!! Not a single word of apology, no understanding, just a cold, transactional response. She was arguing that we should pay half since we had used the pontoon for half the time. It was clear I was talking to a brick wall. If you're thinking about renting a pontoon from this place, I'd strongly advise reconsidering. It's painfully clear they value their bottom line over customer safety and satisfaction. No family should go through what we did. Save yourself the nightmare and find a rental service that values you as much as they value their pontoons.

It's a large & well kept park. Too large to have seen much of it. Will return when having more time as the Lake Loop Trail is 3.1 miles long. The picnic area has several tables out in the open plus a couple under the moderately sized pavilion. We didn't enter the boathouse store where I'm sure that's where you rent kayaks & row boats. If you have your own water craft there's a public launch facility.

Beautiful park. You could enjoy some alone time or a family day. There is swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking and fun in the sun. You can bring your own kayaks & paddle boards or you can rent them at Hinckley boat house.

Very unique hiking trail with its sculptures carved into the cliffs. Keep your eyes open because you could easily miss them. Two warnings, parts of the trail are not well marked and the trail is extremely muddy in spots, you will trash your shoes on this trail. Even with those warnings we really enjoyed our hike.

Hinckley Reservation is part of the Medina Section, one of 26 sections of the Buckeye Trail. The BT winds around the State of Ohio and at 1440+ miles is the longest loop trail in the United States. Volunteers today rerouted the trail below Whipps Ledges to take hikers out of a muddy wetland and on to higher ground. The trail can be recognized by the 2 inch by 6 inch blue rectangle known as a trail blaze. Looking forward to seeing more people following the blue blazes.

This place is good for weekend fun! The lake has stagnant water and great for kayaking!! Some people do fishing here as well!! There is a spillway at one side of the lake and kids can play in the water as-well! There are places for barbecue! Most of the time during weekend this place is crowded!!

Beautiful, beautiful little park in any season. The trails are relatively short and quite manageable, and there are so many small, scenic areas for photographic opportunities. Please do be careful as you wander around the ledges, they are especially treacherous in winter. Also, the trails are not always clearly marked, and it can be easy to get lost and accidentally wind up on someone's private property without realizing it. However, if you're attentive to where you are, this place is ripe for exploration.

Lovely place. Trails can be easily done, some are hilly others are pretty straight forward. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway this is a best place to go to. Except winter I mean if you like sledding and stuff winter is good time to spend too, but for someone like me Spring and autumn are the best times. This place is serene and beautiful. There is a boating reservation too if you like renting a kayak and doing it.Parking is available.

Love getting out on Honkey during the summer. While I have my own equipment, the boathouse and store is very reasonably priced and they rent out quite a variety of equipment. You can get single or tandem kayaks, Stand up paddle boards, canoe, peddle boats, or a pontoon boat. Great place to take someone that wants to try out one of those options in a large buy controlled and safe area.

Hinckley Lake is a solid little go-to spot to get away from the hustle bustle of every day life. It's surrounded by trees so it makes you feel like you are deep in the forest on a remote lake. Very peaceful place to relax and take a friend or significant other. Highly recommend.

Worth going to especially because they plan on dredging the lake in September of 2023 and will not reopen for 2-3 years. Such a peaceful atmosphere. Family friendly a true gem 💎 of the Cleveland Metropark network.

Took a short hike of .7 miles from Redwing picnic area to Hinkley lake boathouse. It was short and serene. Did not ride any boat, will definitely do it in the future.

Great place to relax, lake takes about 15-20 mins to go from one end to the other on a kayak. Clean and friendly place, very easy to rent a kayak and just have fun.

Awesome place to rent paddle boards, kayaks and pontoon boats. The ladies working were super helpful and did a great job explaining everything. There are outhouses but no bathrooms with running water but I already knew this going there so it did not bother me.

Plenty of parking to be able to park and go for walks or sit and watch. Rental for kayaks, canoes. I do wish the walking paths were better marked for turn here and walk this far etc. With just simple arrows or anything

😠 Visited this hill last year and again yesterday. Last year there was a big pile of wood for fire in the burn barrel. Not this year. Also, they shortened the hill, which really stinks because it is slow now. The kids do all the work to get up to the top, but they don’t get the fun ride down. Sad. It...
