👍 Nice for a short stroll, you can’t walk far but it’s nice and quiet up there if you don’t want to bump into many people. The dogs enjoy a good sniff about and there’s a nice view of the water from the trig point at top. People often mention walk,

What a lovely well maintained free nature walk! Carpark enough for 6-7 cars, partially accesible for wheel chair users but still alot of fun to be had, safe for children but still need a weary eye, dog friendly but again leads advised. I was astounded at the stunning views this unique to the area nature reserve brings, barely visable from the road but after a short walk your right in the scene of a bond film. There's a lovely flat grass land area over looking the clear waters of the retired quarry where myself and young family often have picnics. All in all a lovely free afternoon for a family or the lone adventurer! PLEASE BE ADVISED This is a hazardous site, due care and adult supervision is a must, be safe people mother nature's spleadures are not to be triffled with!!

spectacular place. You can do beginner rock climbing here. The rock wall is not fully vertical which makes it easier to climb

One of our favourite places to go. Great for walking the dog with some stunning views from the top and an amazing place to look at the night sky and watch the sunrise.

Great little nature reserve for short walks and dog exercising (pick it up!). Please don't use BBQs there, the reserve was already damaged by a fire in recent years. Good for bird watching (especially kestrels, buzzards and woodland birds) . Fence around the water is there for safety reason. If you need exercise walk up to the top and have your breath taken away. No facilities, could do with some strategically positioned bins.

Its not a particularly large area and we walked it quite quickly. There is a good view from the top and it's an interesting walk around the quarry but don't plan it for a day or half day out. Its an hour or two at best.

it’s a nice peaceful disused quarry. Free car park on the site, recommend walk from other entrance not a car park entrance.

Not much to see, on the day of my visit. Car park seems OK, thow I couldn't use it because of the height restrictions. I managed to found a stop and parked there. (not ideal)

A lovely little walk, its not a big place but we managed to get a parking space and the kiddies loved exploring, fabulous views of the quarry from the top, definitely recommend.

I learned to swim up hill hole when I was quite young. I am 84 now. Mum would have killed me if I'd drowned!
