What a beautiful place. Super easy hike that's 95% flat with the remaining 5% being pretty much flat. You could take your kids, wheelchair-reliant friends and family, and puppers here (pick up their poop, friends and family included). Just a teaser of the majesty of the redwoods (check out Boyscout Tree Trail for some hard hiking and immersion in the woods). Many different little paths to wind around and a few paths lead to a gorgeous emerald river that we saw some people swimming in. There were also little trout swimming in the river. You'll perhaps see banana slugs, various weird bugs, and maybe a chipmunk (it seems these ones have been fed due to their lack of shyness of humans). Amazing, short, easy, family-friendly hike that I absolutely recommend. Amen.

Stunning scenery and great trails! Beautiful clear stream at the bottom. Road is not equipped for campers, however we did see some smaller RVs that had made it to the Old Grove area.

Beautiful must see trail in Jedediah State Park. Ends at a gorgeous river with easy swimming for most age groups. Adult supervision recommended for children. Take a jacket depending on the season you are visiting.

Amazing redwood trail! Huge trees everywhere, part of it follows the smith river! Really pretty cool colored river. Kinda short east trail but there are many more trails in the area! Another good one right up the road. No pet friendly unfortunately

Some of the biggest trees I have seen in the Redwoods. Absolutely gorgeous. There are restrooms at the parking lot. The parking lot is kind of small but there were plenty of spots.

One of the best trails we visited! Hardly any hills, pretty easy hike and gorgeous views.

Trail is in excellent condition, many giant trees and root bases throughout. The river is high right now so that was a nice detour off the trail. Many photo opportunity places too :)

Amazing place. A must for any naturalist and or tree lover. Being in the forest is ominous. NO SOUND. So quiet you can hear yourself breath. The bark in the trees must be 6” thick if not more. The forest floor is soft.

We enjoyed the short walk around Stout Grove on an uncrowded Sunday afternoon. After leaving the parking lot and heading down the paved start of the trail, head left at the fork and go clockwise around the loop for the best views. The colors were amazing here, and there are several enormous fallen trees to explore as well we spent about and hour, and it's free to visit. Unfortunately, dogs have to stay in the car here.

We love this trail. Every time we come to the Redwoods this is one of the first places we come. We’ve got kids and this is the perfect family trail to get a taste for the scale of the Redwoods. You can also access the Smith River from here, which is a beautiful clear river.

Come on now, it's the Redwoods. This place is phenomenal every single time. It will NEVER get old here, never as old as the trees. No dogs allowed!
