Caution: Possible scam alert – On platforms like Agoda and others, it's not possible to make a reservation for two people. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were billed an extra $40 per night to accommodate the second person in a double room reservation. Additionally, breakfast costs $16. The staff acknowledged the problem but provided no clarification. The quality of service falls far below expectations. The staff's lack of English proficiency, coupled with their unwillingness and impoliteness, creates frustrating and time-consuming communication. Basic inquiries turn into lengthy 20-minute ordeals, as employees respond with mere "yes" or "OK" to questions that are evidently negative and necessitate further explanation. This situation indicates lack of management and training. Additionally, they insisted on room changes due to a negligible size difference, 25 square meters for the first two nights and 24 square meters for the third. This decision seems irrational and impractical for a hotel that has plenty of rooms available. Thus, I canceled the third night and stayed in a hotel that appreciates my business/money. The breakfast is of poor quality. The positives: spacious room and convenient location. However, the overall quality-price ratio is extremely poor.

BE CAREFUL when making your booking to select 2 people. Like others, I had to pay 40US$ extra since the room supposedly was only booked for 1. This had never happened to me before however on Agoda there clearly is a difference in room options regarding capacity. Overall the place is overpriced as are all hotels in aomori. Since it's the newest it's more expensive. 100 dollars do not justify this room. Breakfast is basic. the gym is a joke. Unfortunately the only hotel in Japan that actually disappointed

Room : it's a very new and modern hotel which almost perfect in term of room size, WiFi speed, bath and shower room with amenities except the hard bed and pillow🥹 Service : no service-minded of the young lady name Nakamura😭 Location : a bit far from Shin Aomori station..we take taxi about 15 mins cost about 1800-2000Yen depends on traffic. BTW Aomori station is under construction in some areas. Lawson is located down stairs of the hotel which opened 24 hrs. Opposite side is Sakurano small mall ... Food mkt on B1 we found good sushi and a lot more seafood ready to eat. (26April2023)

Best in its class. Huge value premium for the price. Sleek aesthetic with tidy, modern rooms. Large bathrooms with lovely slate-grey tiling. Convenient access to a first-floor convenience store. Large HD TV in the room. Professional western-Japanese fusion breakfast buffet at a coffee shop on the first floor. Helpful staff. Laundry room.

excellent facilities, really good location but unfortunate customer services - they provided wrong number of pillows (two pillows for a four-person room) and when I asked for more pillows they simply said no spare pillows. I'd like to point out that I wasn't asking for spare pillows but the number of pillows that I was eligible for.

We were assisted by Tomita (Tommy) she was very helpful and speaks fluent English!! We were helped on transportation arrangement, itinerary, resto recoms, massage bookings and more! Definitely ask / find her during ur stay :) Great hotel! Lawson is just at ground floor with one back door to hotel which is very convenient. We came all the way from Indonesia, stayed in Aomori for 2 nights and we had the BEST time. Thank you Tommy & Daiwa Hotel staff will definitely return!

This hotel stood out of seven hotels where I stayed during my recent trip to Japan as a place where one does not wish to return to. The staff at reception was not friendly, and it was evident how an incompetent male receptionist was quietly advised by his female colleague to make sure that he darling would not lose face when he did not even know how to arrange a credit card payment that was probably not necessary anyway, as was noted in another review, possible scam alert in relation to my website booking.

Right on the main road leading out of the east end of the Aomori JR station. Maybe a 7 min walk? Nice upscale rooms, bidet toilet, soaking/furo tub, large rain style shower head from the ceiling. Really comfortable bed, many outlets to plug in and charge your electronic items all over the room. Mini fridge, hot water pot, even a deodorizer/humidifier unit in the room. My room was smoky smelling, but that was what I chose when I booked it, so that was my bad. They even have a laundry room and vending machines on certain floors. But one of the best things is that immediately in front of the hotel there is a Lawson's convenience store. Lawson's even has a special Daiwa Roynet Hotel guest door in the back of their shop that you need to swipe your card to in and out of for security. You can get a quick snack or drink easily anytime of the day, I am sure this would be really handy when the temperatures go down and the snow is falling. My 2nd Daiwa Roynet hotel I've stayed in, will probably look for more of this chain hotel in the future while in Japan.

A really nice, clean, convenient hotel in central Aomori. Around 6 mins walk from the station, LAWSON right downstairs, automatic check-out system, SPACIOUS bathroom, and if you have time, take the BREAKFAST (buffet), definitely worth it!

Great location. 15mins' walk to Aomori Station. The room size was reasonable. Could open a large luggage without problem. Bed and pillow were quite firm but OK for a night's sleep. No early checkin upon request. Breakfast was good but no sashimi. Simple and homely. The entrance of the restaurant was quite tricky. It's next to the convenience store side entrance on the right at the 1st floor lift lobby.

Rooms are smaller than my expectation. Barely have space for suitcases though I booked a queen size bed room (20sqm) Their beds (with wheels) are not comfortable. Plus points : good shower room & good breakfast (it’s right next to a 7-Eleven on a busy shopping street so if you want to save some money, it’s ok to book without breakfast)

A nice, convenient business hotel, with small but modern rooms (the bathroom was large and very convenient though, and loved the massage chair in my room), well located near the Aomori station, with very friendly staff, and a surprisingly good breakfast

5min walk east of Aomori Station, we stayed for 2N in a Deluxe Double room (our room is on 14F top floor, corner room with views of the bay), as a base for us to explore Aomori / Oirase Gorge. Attractions also nearby - Auga fresh market 5mins walk, A-Factory 8mins, Room has a Queen size bed (rather firm, 2 pillows), and has some decent space for 2 large luggages (including 1 luggage rack in room). Air con can be controlled well. Pros > Very decent massage chair (leg version can unhide) > Good sized bathroom (anti slip walk in shower with rainshower / handheld, and a deep bathtub with semi-automatic water system). Water temp / strength is very good. > 2F has 3 DIY check out booths > Microwave oven / vending machines / ice machine available on 5F and 12F, laundry machine in 1 other floor (status available to see via TV). > Lawson convenience and Uguisu restaurant (wagyu chazuke don?) on 1F > In room - Panasonic air purifier, trouser ironing machine > USB / electric outlets on both sides of bed > Mini Fridge quite deep, and hotel even provides an accessible On / Off switch to toggle., Cons > Lack of English speaking staff means a rather tough time for guests request even in English. We tried to ask for help to complete a luggage transfer form, but didn't get anywhere even after 5mins.

Daiwa Roynet Aomari has only one thing going for it - location. Other than that it is a ripoff. Room is claimed to be 280 sq ft. The reality is that the room is 12' x 23'. Out of this the shower box and corridor takes 12' x 10'. That leaves a bedroom which is 12' x 13' that has a large double bed, deck, chair and a lazy boy recliner. Around the bed there is 1' to go around. Hardly any space for keeping one suitcase. If traveling with 2 suitcases, you need to open one suitcase at a time. The rooms are almost twice the rate compared to most JR Inns I have stayed at. I would definitely stay away from this place. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Loved the location. It's within walking distance to the train station and harbour. It is located along a shopping district but the shops are always closed by the time I am back from traveling. There are some restaurants nearby and a Lawson directly below. Breakfast at 1600 yen was quite worth it. Wifi was good.

The location is perfect 6 to 7 minutes from the station. We actually found the room really spacious If you don't have a lot of luggages also the bathroom was the best. Staff were nice and kind we even got a sheet mask, we have literally a Konbini connected to the hotel and also a restaurant. We love our stay!

A good hotel with a larger room than is normal for Japan. Handy to the train station and as its location is right on the main shopping street good for those who want to shop

This hotel really offers good hospitality. I recently stayed in their hotel and my room had some issue (noise from the aircond vent). On the next day, decided to inform them of the issue and was initially hoping they would send someone to rectify the issue. Instead, they offered to change our room and to our surprise, they gave us an upgraded suite. This was simply unexpected and we were beyond words. Thank you once again for this experience and I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone heading into Aomori.

Great location, central to a bunch of restaurants and a short walk to the train station. There's a Lawson's directly downstairs and the rooms are modern and spacious. Great shower+bathroom too, very comfortably sized.

Very nice small local hotel about 3 blocks from Aomori train and bus station on the main street with lots of restaurants and shops. Friendly staff, clean room. Lawson convenient store right downstairs, a small mall across the street, the hotel had ice machine, microwave and vending machine inside. Free drop coffee packets available for pick up at the lobby which is on the second floor.

We enjoyed staying 3 nights in this hotel very much! We booked a deluxe room and stayed on the top floor with amazing views! Our room was spacious, modern and clean and the front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The location is perfect, walking distance around Aomori city and short drive to many places. Parking is 700yen per night, very reasonable! I would stay here again if I come back to Aomori.

We had a really nice two-night stay here. The rooms and bathroom are very nice. The hotel was quiet and the staff were very helpful. We really enjoyed the A-Factory for meals and souvenir food which is only about a ten minute walk.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. It was a perfect location easily walkable to Aomori Station, A-Factory, and the Nebuta Museum and there were many restaurants and coffee shops nearby as it’s on the main shopping streets. Everything was brand new and the room was as a nice size with a luxurious feeling rainfall shower and deep soaking tub. A nice touch was being able to easily change the AC/heat control from Japanese to English. The beds were a bit hard, but everything else was great and I’d stay here again if we revisit Aomori.

The best breakfast we have ever had in hotels, over a five star category! Very very clean room, even the small room has a superb toilet with bathtub shining, toto washlet, toiletries of good quality. Polite, efficient and cordial staff. Strongly recommend it, no restrictions!

The hotel provide great facility, room space, and considerate deign. Lawson is just at ground floor with one back door to hotel which is very convenient. The room is spacious, as well as the restroom. The bath tub is super comfortable, and the staff are so helpful! The lady checked me in helped a lot on my double booking issues proactively! love them so much!
