This was my favorite hostel in my entire month in Vietnam! Hostels like this one are rare, because what makes it so spectacular isn’t a giant bed, or brand new bathrooms, or a big pool, but the people that run it. They go above and beyond in helping with your stay as most good hostels do, but Kim and her family felt like great friends! I looked forward to chatting with them and the other patrons in the morning, drinking a coffee with them, and relaying our nights. We shared loads of laughs and they offered me great food and beer. They even helped me prepare for a night out, loaning me an umbrella, giving me tips, fashion advice, and Kim’s husband even lent me a brand new pair of dress shoes he had just bought (I needed to dress up, and they didn’t think my neon yellow sneakers quite cut it). It felt like getting ready for prom with family. They taught me some Vietnamese, and loads about the city and culture. The family being so friendly sets up a great atmosphere that’s conducive to making fantastic friends that I felt very close with within only a few days. One of my friends I met there said it best—it is one of those rare hostels that feels like a home, that feels like you’ve got a family there. I even staggered in close to 5am my first night and they helped me find my bed lol. Kim’s husband gave me a ride with all my luggage on the back of his scooter to the bus when I finally left. Such a comfortable atmosphere. Needless to say I had an amazing time at this hostel and it made my stay in Ho Chi Minh city that much better!

As the top comment says: It's the people that run this place that made my stay there very special. As you come in it looks like a cafe, which it is, so you have the chance to chat with foreigners and natives alike. The lady that manages the reception (as many other things) is fluent in English and will support you in making the trip to Saigon as comfortable as possible. The bathrooms are big and the cabinets can fit every backpackers belongings. Sure, a hostel is a hostel, so there's not a lot of privacy. But you're not in Saigon to stay in Bed, right?

I had a fantastic stay at this place. Kim and Yon are wonderful people. They're helpful, caring, informative and friendly. My time in Saigon was made better and more memorable because of this lovely couple. It's a great hostel with good facilities located in District 1. Highly recommended!

Very basic hostel. Not much privacy on the top bunks at all. You feel AC and fan in your face all night long. Everything is a dated. I had my worst night after 2 months of hostel in Asia. Room was smelling bad because of humidity. Good points : Reception lady was nice and location is good.

Pretty basic hostel. Not much privacy on the top bunks at all & everything is a little dated. Reception lady was nice but we did not really receive any information about HCMC on arrival / told about anything that was offered by the hostel. Not a great place for meeting others as the social area downstairs is also a local cafe and it was hard to find a place to sit. We weren’t actually told we could get drinks from the cafe either. Has lots of potential to be a nice place!

This has become my home away from home. Starting my travels around se asia here. Has been an absolute privilege! John and Kim helped set me up with the right people for a 3 month bike trip around cambodia, laos and vietnam. The hospitality and atmosphere has brought me back after 3 months to a lovely home and family, that's really completed my trip in se asia:)

Booked for 6 persons dorm but ended in 8 persons dorm. Clean and quiet place to stay away from the busy street's hostels.

Amazing stay, especially for the price. Lovely host and clean rooms. The AC and fans were availible. Free lockers and a cute coffee downstairs. Would come again!

Amazing hostel to stay in, located near the walking street and within a few minutes from major attractions in the town. Friendly, polite, and helpful staff.

Had a great experience staying at this Hostel! Kim, the hostess was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, fluent in English and overall a pleasure to be around and talk to! The only negative thing I have to say is that the man who was looking after the place for the few hours when Kim had to sleep, he was soulless, empty and devoid of humanity.

This is a really great place to stay! It’s cheap. It’s a great location - you can walk to Bui Vien and Ben Thahn Market although it’s a bit far. Kim was a really good host and she helped me with placed to go, food recommendations and we also talked a lot about my country and hers. Near mini-stop. Wi-fi was good and fast. Bathroom is inside the room and shared by 6 people - but jt was okay since I also had really good roomies :) You just need to buy your own water and bring your own soap and shampoo as it was not provided.

A place near the center suitable for the price and very clean. The owners and the staffs are very friendly and helpful. Around there are restaurants and convenience stores, ATMs. The most special thing is that the atmosphere here is very comfortable, feeling like being in your own home. Very good! 👍👍👍

I have nothing but good things to say about my time here. The beds are comfortable, there is a nice little common area/coffee shop to relax, and, best of all, the staff are wonderful. Kim, the receptionist, helped me for two days straight translating Facebook messages and making calls for me to locals who wanted to buy my motorcycle. I will never forget what she did for me (and simply out of the goodness of her heart). If you are looking for a quiet, cozy little spot to seek refuge from the overwhelming hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City, I highly recommend staying here

I stayed in Saigon Cozy House and Coffee over New Years Eve and it was perfect. It is nice, clean and close to everything and Kim, the owner is a national treasure. She knows the best places to eat, what to visit in and out the city and does all that with a huge smile and great energy. She also makes a killer coffee. Definitely my first choice when I'm coming back to HCMC
