One of the highly rated Vegetarian and Health food cafes / restaurants in the city. We went here on a rainy day since the place was full and we got the outdoor seating area. One of the highlights of the place was the Hot Pot. We tried the mushroom Hot Pot and loved every bit of the experience trying it out. Quick service and nice staff. It was a bit expensive but overall it was worth the experience

Superb restaurant with the most charming vibes. From the moment you enter the building, you're greeted with the friendliest smiles and warmest welcome. Even the menu book is a delight to browse through slowly. We love the steamed mushroom served in coconut, and the braised Palm of Heart claypot dish. Drinks are very delicious too, freshly brewed with clean ingredients. Can't wait to be back!

The square deep fried spring roll is quite unique that is crispy on the outside and packed with flavor from mushrooms inside. The king mushrooms stuffed with veggies is outstanding. One thing this restaurant is a bit different is that some of the dishes are a fusion that provides more choices.

Very surprise that so beautiful vegetarian food when the friendly staff deliver what we order. It’s hard for me to break the view and put in to my mouth. Environment warm and peaceful very suitable for gathering with friends and family. Love anything in here. Will definitely come again when I be in HCM. Overall is prefect!

This is one of the vegetarian restaurant that I always wanted to try and it didn’t disappoint me. Beautiful place with nice ambiance and comfortable. Suitable for family with young children or elderly. Service was good and attentive . Food here is more on the fusion type with a mix of Thai, Viet and Chinese cuisine, it’s fresh and delicious! I simply love their tea too. Highly recommended if you are looking for vegan food around HCM.

Easily the most aesthetic restaurant we ate at in Vietnam. Service was fantastic, food was delicious with plenty of vegan options. Would love more vegan deserts though. Cocktails were great. On the pricier side of the places we’ve eaten, with maybe smaller portion sizes, but it’s a must visit kind of place.

Literally the best place i ate at in Vietnam. So fancy. So delicious. So comfortable. My friend and I were looking for vegetarian food and accidentally stumbled upon this beautiful place. Fair to say we were NOT expecting a fine dining restaurant and turned up dressed like typical backpackers. The service was amazing, I have celiac disease and they were so on top of making everything properly gluten free. We weren’t entirely sure the proper way to eat what we were given so we asked and someone came over and helped us extremely without judgement. It was awesome. My photos are god awful but the food and the vibes of this place were immaculate.

One of the most hospitable experiences I’ve ever had in my life! I came alone a few hours upon landing from the US and could not have asked for a warmer or more perfect welcome. The food was beyond fantastic. Authentic, nutrient dense and creative vegetarian Vietnamese dishes. The menu has descriptions of the health benefits of each meal which is fun to learn. Seeing that I was alone, waitresses chatted with me the entire time, making me feel at home. And if the experience wasn’t already perfect enough, they escorted me to my ride to make sure I got back to the hotel safely. If I could give this place 100 stars I would!

Hum is placed in a building that houses other restaurants and a very beautiful store. The entire place is extremely well designed and aesthetic. For the interior decor inspiration alone this place is worth a visit. The food at Hum is terrific. Some of the food we had could have bolder flavour profiles in my personal opinion, all of it was extremely good though. And the dessert I had (black sesame rice balls) is to die for.

Never fail to satisfy me when coming to Hum. The new building is spacious and modern style. Food is brilliant, tasty and well settled. Staff are well trained with customer centric mindset, gently checking feedback after serving. There is also a shop at ground floor selling foods and crafts. They are still keeping the old place next to the new one to save my good memories there all the years back.

Great place for vegetarians, also, located right next to the War Remnants Museum...pineapple fried rice, phad Thai, Vietnamese coffee - very good options...the place is pretty spacious, spread over 2 floors with lots of seating space...attached photos and video will give you an idea of the interiors, decor and menu

Delicious food, beautiful presentation, lovely decor, and nice ambiance. An upscale vegetarian restaurant with a great service. A safe and impressive place to take people here for first time meeting, professional meetings, first introduction to vegetarian food... This restaurant reinvents the traditional flavored vegetarian dishes and turn it into a work of eatable art. ? Every time I met up with some friends and wanted to eat vegetarian food, they took me here. Now, I’m taking people here. ☺️

(Translated by Google) Quite delicious, many special dishes are displayed beautifully. Veganism is a philosophy that says humans should not use animals. There are vegetarians who choose not to eat animal meat, and vegetarians who do not use animals of any kind. The term "Vega n", created by Donald Watson (founder of The Vegan S ociety) in 1944, is a combination of the beginning and ending elements of the English word "Vegetarian", with the aim of pressing strong determination in the most loving and reasonable method of consumption. Quick Facts: Veganism Vegetarians avoid foods of animal origin, including meat, eggs and dairy products (such as milk, cheese, and yogurt). A vegan diet is sometimes referred to as a strict vegetarian diet. Also, some vegetarians don't eat honey. Many vegetarians try not to use any other animal products, such as leather, wool, fur, bones, or pearls. They run tests to avoid products that are tested on animals. They can trust animal rights, and can participate in campaigning for this. Vegetarians eat fruits, vegetables, beans, whole grains, nuts, and things made from them like vegan sweets, vegan cheese, and vegan cakes. (Translated by Google) It's a bit far from the main tourist street, Dong Khoi Street, but it's really recommended. I think that only Japanese vegetarian food was eaten as vegetarian food in Japan, but this vegetarian food is completely different. A restaurant where people who are tired of Nam Phla can enjoy the different flavors from Vietnamese food. Vegetable frits are sliced and cut into vegetables that are known to be fresh, making them tempura, which is rare in Vietnam. You can eat it with sweet vinegar sauce. The curry-flavored mushroom chawanmushi in coconut has plenty of mushrooms in it and is full of flavor! It's similar to Thai curry. I was told it was mild spicy, but it wasn't hard. Pad Thai is full of eggs and volume! The noodles were very chewy and the texture was fun. When I asked for Chadder, the tension went up with green tea. The interior is made to order, and the red and blue sofas are impressive. The single-plate style dining table is also stylish. There were still many delicious menus, so I'll be back soon. It's a great restaurant and cafe.

I’m so glad our first meal in Saigon was here! After traveling for almost 26 hours, we needed a relaxing place with good food, and this was it! It seemed to be popular with tourists as well as locals. Food was great! Waiters were attentive and helpful!

Loved the food! Pricing was justified. I thought their Red Curry was delicious and so was the Hum Salad. I was kind of shocked that the salad came out after the curry despite being a light dish. The service for me was a little cold and dry... At one point, there was 1 menu between the 5 of us, which we pointed out to the servers. They brought out more menus but I have no clue why the waiter saw the single menu open and proceeded to turn away with the menus in his hand. My friends and I were flabbergasted. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience but it could’ve been smoother. Would definitely come back for another try though!

One of the best vegetarian restaurant in Vietnam. It made us realised that healthy green foods can also be cooked into great taste and beautifully presented. Pineapple fried rice is very good. Love the dried lotus stem snack. Baked pumpkin is a new dish served with fresh salad. Wonderful taste and experience. Pricy but you get what you pay for.

Rustic yet chic ambiance, fresh ingredients and absolutely innovative and mouth-watering menu! From starters to dessert, everything we ate was delicious. The only mild disappointment was the infused waters. A tad more expensive than your regular restaurant meal in Ho Chi Minh City but definitely worth it because they will take you on an unforgettable gastronomic adventure! Booking in advance is recommended and note that the restaurants close early (10pm). The restaurant also has outlets in district 2 & 3.

Love the food here. Interesting with all sorts of wonderful flavours. I especially like the triangle mushroom spring roll which is bursting with taste, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The king mushroom is pretty good but the drip can be slightly spicy. The pecan fried rice is too spicy for me but u can ask them to reduce the spice.

The setting is beautiful, the restaurant has 3 floors and is very well decorated. I was a bit disappointed on the food though. I ordered the fried rice in a pineapple, and it’s only rice with some vegetables, no vegetarian protein (beans, mushroom, tofu...). I felt this wasn’t a proper meal. Most of their dishes are like this. I wouldn’t go back or recommend.

Food for the soul This was such a lovely food experience, we were pleased from the very first welcome to the last goodbye. The menu is well thought out and easy to understand, the only trouble is limiting the number of dishes ordered as everything sounded so yum. This includes the drinks menu which is vast in particular for the non alcoholic drinker. We had two soups both amazing and just hitting every note with perfect balance. The rice was exquisite and the dessert amazing. We were both happy to finish on such a high note on our last evening in Vietnam and the only sad part is we won’t have time to come back again.

The place definitely is one of the best vegetarian places I have had in a very long time. The flavours and the textures were matched so brilliantly that it gave the experience a lift. We went over during lunch and were immediately greeted with the staff and escorted to our table. Quickly enough, we were brought the menu, which had so many options and variations. The ambience of the pace was peaceful and quiet, which further uplifted the experience. The flavours were really good and well thought through. The various rice options were the highlight, along with the wide spread of various drinks they had to offer. All in all, driveline a place worth visiting if you are in the neighbourhood and don't mind spending a few extra dong to get some high-quality local vegetarian food.

Make no mistake, this is a nice restaurant. You will pay even for water. Half or even 2/3 of the price of the food is for the atmosphere and service. It's a place that you could easily spend hours in. Had I not needed to check into my hotel, I would've stayed longer. It's a great place to be alone as well as a great place to bring good friends or family. Seems like the English of much of the staff is limited to restaurant language. I will definitely go back and bring a special friend with me next time I do.

I stumbled upon this restaurant after visiting the War Remnants Museum, and it was absolutely delightful! I’m not fully veg, but prefer vegetarian food and the food here was absolutely delicious. The menu is expansive and they clearly put a lot of thought and time into the dishes (including presentation). The food is on the more expensive side, but not unreasonable if you’re a tourist from the US or Europe. You are paying for the ambiance and service at Hum, along with the food. The staff did also ask me about any allergies or dietary restrictions before taking my order. I ordered the pumpkin noodles as an appetizer, the spicy tofu curry (wasn’t very spicy, but loved every bite), the brown rice, and the kumquat tea. Total with tax and pre-added gratuity (5%) was about $30 USD. I would definitely return, if I’m ever in Saigon again. This is a great lunch spot for Hindus/Indians who are veg.

Wanted a veg place in Ho Chi Minh... Yikes... But this was THE One!!! Upscale place with shopping on ground level and first floor veg and 2nd floor non-veg. Ambience was great, service was good, food was also good. If you are from Bangalore (big cities in India), you can compare this to the modern booming vegan places. If you are Indian and expecting a spicy / food, you wont like this place, you are better off going to some other Indian place. Best place for bringing your date; famous among youngsters and foreigners. There are very new and unique and healthy veg options available here. Must try place. Like the palm dishes... Very very close to the war museum. Some of the dishes are acquired taste.

Came here because of the reviews but I’m not sure how they were so good. Service was not great, very friendly but slow even though there were only 4 other tables. Took close to 40 minutes for my food to come and they forgot water I ordered. My rice came before the side to go with it and I had to follow up while my rice sat there getting cold. Two of the dishes I got I didn’t eat much of because how bad it was. Charged 100,000 for gst and service charge, what service I don’t know, total for a rice, pasta and mushrooms small dishes over 700,000 very overpriced for the food in general It’s pretty but that’s it.

The food was Awesome, Delicious & Attractive. I would highly recommend this restaurant at least once if you are in Ho Chi Minh. Since I don’t eat meat there is a whole menu to choose from with a wide variety of selection. For meat eaters there is a seperate menu to choose from. The atmosphere is amazing, with some shopping down stairs, great gift idea or even for yourself. Once again a must try.

Hum is a special dining experience and the people behind this concept are masters of blending tranquil spaces and offering a dining experience that is refreshing, uplifting and satisfying. The service is detailed, yet laid back. Every table is greeted by a guest relations manager to make certain the service and food is up to satisfactory standards and to make small talk. The entire space is welcoming, clean and a nice break away from the bustle of the city. I would recommend this restaurant for romantic dinners, small gatherings of 6 or less people, tourists, health conscious persons and for people that like a little refinement that isn’t pretentious or stuffy. The restaurant has had a successful run in its 11 year history and has recently expanded the concept to include a brand new neighboring space that is absolutely stunning! I feel it is worth a visit just to see the building. On the ground floor there is a gift shop which offers many tasteful gifts, specialty Vietnamese wines (passion fruit & apricot wines) and a broad range of artisan products. Do yourself a favor and come dine here… even if you are a meat eater.

The food is a bit more on the expensive side. Mostly foreigners are seen eating here. For the price being paid, I feel like the portions are small. However, I enjoyed eating here, but I feel like this restaurant is for special occasions only, like a really nice date with the lady. Beautiful building.

Hum lounge is one of the top restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City serving up innovative dishes in a super cosy ambience. This is one of those vegetarian restaurants having the capability to convert meat eaters to vegetarians all by the delicious food that they serve. All of their dishes have good depth of flavor and can knock any other meat dish out of the park. Dessert could have been a little better tho ?. Their home made passion fruit and apricot wines are a must try!

Don’t think twice, just get here for lunch/dinner. I was tired of seeing and eating all the meat during my visit to Vietnam. I craved vegetarian so bad. This place can make even hard core meet eater vegetarian. Amongst everything we’ve had in all of our travels this is one the best restaurants we’ve been to. We went there twice during our one week Stay. If the chef ever reads this, I want to personally thank him for making our dining experience so memorable. Don’t miss this.

The environment is what makes this place "worth it," however I'm confused about something. Obviously they want to have calming atmosphere and a peaceful dining experience, but they have a painting in the dining room of a poor fish just dying. Don't see why you need to promote such hatred. Anyways, the food and drinks were fine. The staff seem like they care a lot, but they always fall a little short. Basically this is a great vegetarian restaurant, but if you're vegan and care about animals then there's plenty of other places to go to before you come here. It seems like all dishes can be modified to be vegan, but they're intended to be consumed with lacto & ovo components. I actually do have one regret. The mango sticky rice is great, but it's customary to slice the mango into bite sized pieces. Additionally you should just include more rice. It's pretty cheap and it's dessert, so it's not like you're trying to prevent the patron from filling up before the meal. Also the menu has like 50 pages. I get it's artistic, but it's a pain to try to go back and find something you saw 30 pages ago. There must be some kind of middle ground. Edit in response to the restaurant's response: The desert menu isn't that vast, so I still don't understand why the portion is so small. I get the point of having small portions, but the idea behind it is so that you get to try different things. I'd love to try the different desserts you have, if you had any others. The fish literally is bleeding from a wound running down 2/3rds of its body and is currently asphyxiating from being held in the air. It's really nice if the woman is bringing the fish back, that's an awesome idea to promote. A better image would be one where she's stopping people from fishing, or one that follows the fish happily swimming after going back into the water (and you can see the image of the woman waving the fish off in the distance, with water refractions giving the obvious appearance of her being above water).

We went here as it was well rated and close to the war museum. We ordered the summer roles to start and they were probably the most bland thing we have eaten in the whole of Vietnam. Fresh food beautifully presented. Dishes were full of flavour. Serving size is on the smaller side compared to western restaurant servings but we didn't find this a fault at all. Service is efficient and not overly friendly. Our meal was so delicious we came back for another meal and will definitely be coming back next time we're visiting. On our ten day trip to Saigon, Hum was the only place worth mentioning.

Excellent Restaurant! I would rather say awesome! I couldn't believe a vegetarian restaurant could be that great. I personally prefer to have fish and meat in my meals and don't bother much about vegetarian dishes. This restaurant just changed my concepts. It's simply too good to miss. The decor and all the arrangements of everything is superb. Even the restrooms. Plenty of drinks to choose from. Cleanliness is great. Quite large to have a big gathering of family and friends or a party. They have some cozy corners as well. Only downside is they shutdown quite early (9:30pm is the last order time) compared to the other restaurants in the city! Undoubtedly a great place for the food connoisseur. Highly recommend.

From start to finish this is one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I started with crispy rice pockets (Square Deep Fried Spring Rolls) filled with several types of mushrooms with extremely well balanced umami flavor, a sweet sauce and various cut fruits to pair with (star fruit, apple). The staff took such care with my wheat allergy and I am so thankful for that. Secondly I had the Calabash and Seaweed Soup … it had such a lightness to it while still maintaining a profound whispiness of great flavor. It has calabash, seaweed, and their homemade tofu. YUM The creamy caramel panna cotta was the icing on top. Shoutout to the amazing guest relations manager and my server!! ( I will add the names when I find the piece of paper I wrote them down on hehe) Beautiful experience.

Wow! What a delicious vegetarian restaurant. We literally wanted to take Hum with us back in our home country. The menu has a vide assortment so that it was really hard to decide. We ordered some vegetarian spring rolls as well as tempura as starter and the taste & look was simply perfect. Besides, we received helpful hints how to eat the Vietnamese dishes in the most delicious way. As main we had Pad Thai and pesto pasta with figs. Both were also 110% delicious. We felt really welcomed and the team made sure that we really connect with the local food. Every piece was a feast so that we highly recommend this place! Ps. If you have any food allergies, this place will take care of it properly.

It's a place to experience at least once in Saigon. It's the most famous vegan's fine dining restaurant, with a unique style and delicious food. Try it out! You won't be disappointed.

Drinks are outstanding! We wanna come back just to try more drinks & enjoy the ambience though, hope it’s allowed 😂 Food is pricey compared to portion & taste is not that outstanding. I like the tofu most but it’s a bummer the dish was cold. Actually not anything was hot, not sure why prepping took so long (decoration perhaps?)

Hum is one of a fancy vegetarian restaurant but the price is going with the foods quality and also the service. Very tasty, good and delicious.

Great food in an unpretentious setting. Servers were excellent and helpful. However, one accustomed to the blistering fast speed at which dishes are pumped out at most restaurants around may be in for a little disappointment. In short, it may take a little longer than expected for the food to arrive. In any case, I thoroughly enjoyed the deep fried square spring rolls. The pineapple fried rice was so-so. Longan with lotus seeds dessert was a delight. As many have noted, the price to value ratio can be challenged by other choices, but in my opinion it was a unique experience worthy of sampling at least once.

We visited both Hum Cafe and Hum Lounge & Restaurant in November 2023 on the same day. We visited the Lounge during lunch and since we enjoyed the Lunch so much, we decided to dine for dinner at the Cafe next door to the Lounge after we had visited the war remnants museum. You absolutely must go to Hum Cafe and Lounge & restaurant for a wonderful dining experience! Even if you are not a vegetarian, you will be amazed by the food creativity and quality, amazing service and the ambiance. Personally my wife and I felt the ambiance and the food of the lounge & restaurant during lunch was slightly better than our dinner experience at the cafe; don't get me wrong both were wonderful experiences Food - When they hand the colorful elegant menu to you and you go thru it, you will feel like ordering every item! We wanted to have authentic vietnamese dishes that we don't normally eat at SE Asian restaurants in US. For lunch we ordered A Mango & Passion Fruit Smoothie, Lotus Tuber in Sesame salt, Ground Roasted Rice Roll, Salad A la Hum (papaya salad), and for Dessert we ordered Longan & Lotus Seed Sweet soup (we ordered this after we saw it being served on a table near us). All of the lunch dishes were amazing and different and we enjoyed them all. My wife still recalls the papaya salad from hum as it was really awesome! The dessert was very different and had a perfect note to end the meal - light and not very sweet. For dinner we ordered Raspberry & Fig drink, Pomelo Salad in Passion Fruit, Deep fried veggies, Son Tapioca noodles in spicy sauce (specialty from Quang Nam province) and sour soup a la Hum. Again all the food was really good and each had its own flavor profile The food presentation for both lunch & dinner was just truly exceptional Service - we got amazing service at both places from both the Hosts and our servers. Extremely friendly people and they literally took time to explain the dishes in the menu. They did not rush us in any way and infact was a perfect balance of allowing us to enjoy the meal and at right times checking in to see if all was ok with food. For some of the questions that our wait staff could not answer they went and asked in kitchen and/or to the manager. During lunch Ha Le our waitress was very courteous and helped to explain all items we were thinking of ordering . She was extremely fun to chat with and it felt like as if we were talking to a friend. At dinner time Thing Tran our waiter was also very friendly and helpful and he helped us order food based on what type of food we wanted to eat and also tried not to overlap with any dishes we had during lunch. He was also a nice person to chat with and we talked about various things before it got really busy. Ambiance - We did not know what to expect when we stepped in so it was truly a nice surprise. We went into the entrance on 1st floor (ground floor in Vietnam ) and then the host takes you upstairs to the 2nd floor (1st floor in Vietnam) and when you step in there you feel transformed because of the decor they have throughout the restaurant from the dining room to the bathroom. Its very different and very vietnamese!. The lounge decor was simple but extremely effective and immediately you feel at ease and look forward to dining - feels very hip and casual and very different than normal restaurants. The lounge is wery well spaced out and has large airy windows making it feel very tropical. Even though most tables were occupied at lunch, you did not feel restaurant was crowded because there was adequate spacing between the tables. Even the Cafe at night had its own charm as that was cozy cafe style feel though that seemed crowded once full Overall - excellent value in terms of food, service and ambiance. Definitely a must to visit and enjoy the creativity of food and associated presentation. Thank you to entire staff of both the restaurants. Make sure you reserve a table as they get very busy

My wife and I went to Hum 4 years when they were located in District 1 near the river. We were so impressed with it that we decided to go again this time when we visited Vietnam again. They have now moved to a new location which is strictly in District 3. However, it is still in a central area, immediately behind the War Remnants Museum. The building is probably a little smaller than the old location, however, it is still tastefully renovated. Standard of the food is still exceptionally good and the service was still of high standard. I would highly recommend it if you like vegetarian food.

Probably the nicest restaurant in Saigon. The ambience is the best part Bout it. Feels like a spa. So zen. Beautiful and calm and aesthetically pleasant. Food was amazing too. Couldn't tell its vegetarian. Definitely coming back here and highly recommend to any food lovers. Not just vegans or vegetarians.
