I wish the attitude of the host would have been as good as the room & facilities When you’re staying in a homelike hostel like this one, the energy of your host can effect your stay A LOT! As they are an essential part of the location. First things first : The room was beautiful & clean ! One of the best showers and a cozy minimalist feel. The kitchen area is welcoming too and the roof is a hidden gem! The first floor is hectic & mostly used as the work space / store of the hosts. Let’s talk about attitude - I’ll start with the good : the girl was so kind! Helpful and genuinely nice! That’s all I expect from a host. Needs improvement: dude YOU GOT AN ATTITUDE! You could kind of guessed it from previous comments when he replies something like 'sorry I thought you’re one of those American Vietnamese that aren’t fluent in Vietnamese so I spoke to you English' Our experience could have been so much better if he would give us the helpful advice and drop the judgy options! I am a very sarcastic person but *with my friends!* as someone who is giving service you should pick a more positive, helpful, hopeful approach! For example- we asked about busses? Reply: WE DONT USE BUS HERE JUST TAKE A GRAB! (Know it all tone) So we did, just to discover later that the bus is very easy to use, it might take 10% more of the ride time but cost you 90% less!!! That’s huge! And important to tell your guests. Another, I asked for some advice for restaurants/ specific dishes he can recommend that are chicken or beef based as I don’t eat pork & seafood - the answer was WOW THAN YOULL BE STRANDED IN VIETNAM GOOD LUCK haha! (Mocking tone) Come on, those remarks stayed with me those 2 days of our stay echoing in my mind -this will be a hard experience for you, Vietnam- Last but not least, even though he had an attitude issue he did helped when requested and for me it’s so important to show gratitude! So I made sure to come and say thank you for the help etc- of course he was too busy working on the computer to accept my words, a bit rude don’t you think ? P.s - you might want to reply a self righteous defensive answer repeating once again that you used to live in Europe and that I lack sense of humor. Spare it. Take this as a conservative criticism and observe your behavior, your place and your girlfriend (even the dog) have a beautiful and clean energy - maybe it’s time to work on yours?

We came to check in a little late that day after flew in from Qui Nhon. The host is the actual owner who greeted us. I'm not sure if he had a bad day, but there was no smile and he was yelling at his dog and a "worker" or gf of his was there as well. At least she smiled. Anyway, it was a little strange when he started to speak with me in English and broken vietnamese with my girlfriend. Again he didnt smile and I think he was trying to make me pay for the room with the 3% credit card charges. I was a little upset since his English was horrible and I was trying desperately to speak with him in Vietnamese as well. Later on I found out that he was indeed a Vietnamese but probably spent couple of years in Finland. He also told me that and he made some friends offshored, probable from somewhere with horrendous British accent, so perhaps that was where he picked up this British or European accent mixed with chinese . Couple of time he turned to my girlfriend and told her to speak vietnamese, then would speak so fast with broken words that even my gf thought he was a foreigner or someone from Singapore or Malaysia. Oh well. Any how I then asked if we can speak slowly then took the key upstair. The room is clean. It has 1 queen bed, 1 tiny desk and a stool. The bathroom is also tiny. Overall the place is clean though. We picked this place through Agoda app because it was just a walking distance to my gf place. The whole dimension of the room is probable 10 ft x 14 ft. It is basically a standard room. I did expected it to be a bit larger since it was priced higher than other hotel. The cab ride to the airport is very short and it was around 4 or 5 USD.

This hostel host family was amazing. Their English was legit. Their recommendations was great. And they checked on me to make sure I was okay. They even gave me some local snacks they were having. The hostel itself was clean and comfortable. And their golden retriever was so adorable.

We showed up late at night for our stay at SuviHem. Due to the time change crossing the international date line, we had accidentally reserved our room for the following night. So at 1am, our lovely host was helping us check in, and found us an empty room in the hotel. The staff/owners have been exceptionally helpful and friendly. Would recommend 10/10 to friends and family. Nice quiet district in the city, but close to many amenities.

Very nice hostel, clean and comfortable. It has a very well equipped kitchen where you can prepare meals. The host and staff are very friendly. I liked the location, a bit outside of the centre, but a lot quieter than other areas.

This place is located like 2-3 kms from ho chi minh airport. Very neat and clean, they have kitchen on 1st floor. This place is run by very young and kind people. They offer free foods like breads and eggs for breakfast. I have probably seen the widest hostel beds till now. They are pretty comfy. Someone looking for place to stay near airport at reasonable price. I would suggest SuviHem.
