Surprisingly excellent. Didn't realise a guided tour was included in the entry fee. The guide was very knowledgeable with excellent English. The house and artefacts are all very interesting.

My Grab car dropped me off across the street - he didn't know exactly where it was. I had to ask around. It's rather camouflaged between some shops. The film at the start was interesting. There was no one else when I went. They accept credit cards only to purchase the tickets. They take only cash if you want to buy their products (tea, soaps etc) but they were flexible to use my credit card for my tea, and logged the purchase as tickets. They gave me some info to read on my own. There were no tour guides on offer mentioned by other reviewers. Nothing more to add to what other reviewers have said, other than no one mentioned that there's a very small area where you can try on traditional clothes for fun and photos. They did also let me taste a cup of tea at the end.

As a Western-trained physician, I've found this museum is a gem. Packed in 4-store house all representatives of Oriental traditional medicine, displayed in remarkable orders. The showroom is clean, the lighting is perfect for photography. You can miss the entrance because it looks like a convenient store in front. One thing I do not like is the presentation video is too long.

What a hidden gem! Loved the activities (e.g. tea drinking, a foot bath, costumes), the varied artifacts ranging from equipment to remedies to the actual ingredients), and the beautiful architecture!! Most of the description for the artifacts were written in Vietnamese, and while we couldn’t understand them, we found ourselves sufficiently engaged by what we could see and understand visually. We dropped by because we wanted to kill time before our afternoon flight, and was pleasantly surprised by this gem of a museum! The staff are also well versed in English, and were able to answers our questions about the museum :)

The island of peace in the crawdy Ho Chi Mihn City. The exhibition is very nice in a miracle building. Each corner hide a sculpture, painting, drawing or tool. Nice thematic exhibition. I specifically liked the smells in the rooms. The warm herbal foot bath is relaxing at the end of visit.

Really interesting and different museum, certainly worth venturing that little bit farther out of the city centre for. They only accept cash FYI. We were greeted and brought in for a brief screening of an introductory video and then taken around the museum by a guide who was absolutely brilliant; a great character, very informative, perfectly paced, and kept it fun and also interactive. The tour finishes with a nice cup of herbal green tea after which you're welcome to continue exploring the beautiful museum and it's artefacts in more detail. Worth also mentioning that the building itself is a work of art, highly detailed artwork throughout in traditional Vietnamese decoration which significantly added to the overall experience.

Very surprising stylish house in the middle of the city. Standing out from anything we saw in HCMC. It’s worth to see the place even for the calming smell of wood and herbs, relax on rooftop terrace.

Well designed museum that is unfortunately slightly removed from the city centre, hence requiring a deliberate detour for many itineraries. Worth a visit if you're interested in the origins of traditional Vietnamese medicine. The museum staff are friendly and hospitable and there is a planned route for the museum that covers each floor meticulously. A 10minute introductory video starts off your visit and a written guide explains each exhibit in decent detail. Mostly suitable for tourists familiar with Vietnamese and / or English.

It seems so narrow from the outside but there are so many things you can explore inside. The local architecture by wood and an excellent sculpture art will make you impress. Highly recommend to wear Ao Dai and take the photos here.

Beautiful building worth exploring and interesting visitor experience with tea served at the end of your visit. However, the museum failed to share memorable stories. It felt that we were just seeing old stuff on display, rather than understanding the philosophy of traditional medicine and engaging with the stories of healing and plants.

Such an amazing experience. The entrance fee is 180K, which definitely worth it. The space is quite small but the artifacts were spectacular!!! I would definitely bring my friends here again

Very cool little museum in D10. Very detailed. A lot of little things to look at. A lot of great places to take photos. The museum is easily overlooked on its street. Loved all the old wooden architecture. 180.000 VND ticket. Motorbike parking right across the street for 10.000 VND.

Very interesting and beautifully organized museum. There is also a little shop for FITO products (which is also the brand behind the whole thing), excellent products! The whole house/building is in a traditional northern architecture style and more than 200 years old.

I loved this Museum so much its convinced me that I want to pursue my interest in Plant Medicine. Good english spoken. And over 5 floors of history & culture to move through & look out. Start with a 15 minute movie and make your way around the museum. This is a very special, historic building. 10/10 reccomend

I've been visiting HCMC for a few years now, but never made it here before. How did I miss it? Unique, interesting, charming museum. It's one of the few places that gives you a feel for the old, pre-war Vietnam. Excellent collection of ceramics, woodcuts, and prints of medicinal plants in particular. There is a short introductory film and then you are free to wander about through the five floors of exhibits. And yes, there is an elevator, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I really enjoyed my time there!

When we arrived. Paid 120k for entrance fee. The english speaking receptionist will show to a room to watch a video. Then she gave us an english booklet that describe what is to look out on every floor. Its was interesting but i would not go all the way out to visit it. The second floor toilet/ urine smells is just too strong that we skip the whole floor. Finished off with a glass of tea.

Charming and beautiful museum. For locally homed people it is the perfect time to visit museums. We were the only 2 visitors. The place is amazingly designed and decorated following the ancient Vietnamese styles. Very instructive visit. My only advise would be to improve the signage and the document to read during the visit as we found it a bit messy.

You can learn the medical history of Vietnam. The scent and aroma of herbs is super charming and delightful. I took photos for a lovely couple whom I encountered on that weekend.

There are 5 levels of floor to visit. The area of each floor is quite small, but they contains a lot of acient artifacts about Vietnamese acient herbal medicine. In the beginning of the tour, they will show you a short introduction video with English subtitles then the receptionist will show you to the fourth floor where you can walk freely. Ticket price: 120,000 VND per adult, small kid half price.

Like a massive book and heaps of information about the oriented medicines. The atmosphere and the architecture are so impressive. A bit noisy with lots of local people coming for photos purposes only, but enjoying the museum so far. Will return some day

Interesting museum in District 10 with plenty of photo opportunities. The place is composed of 6 floors of full of displays and photos.  It looks old but its actually not that old (having been opened in 2007). A must-go place for those living in Ho Chi Minh City (but may be optional for visiting tourists). PRO TIP:  Please call it Fito Museum (it's the name more known by most Vietnamese)

Very interesting museum. It's in an ancient building which was interesting in itself. It goes way back on the history of traditional vietnamese medicine covering famous doctors from the 14th and 18th century BC that made huge contributions. It's nice that it's not a huge museum either, which is nice. Thy also have a video explaining eastern medicine. They finish with a cup of tea and you can buy some natural products like the teas

This museum's enternace fee is 100k vnd but it is worth more than that. It's interior is very unique and antique. Especially you can see the beautiful old vietnam architecture and many medicine tools. This bulding has a 5 storages, the 1st ine is office you can take a ticket hete. Then get on the lift and go up 5th floor and one of staff will explain this museum. After that explanations you go down stairs. Then if you rwch the 1st floor again and staff will give you tea. This is really beautiful ancient vietnam building. Do not miss it. I strongly recommend.

That's a very interesting place. According to the museum attendant, that place was restored from a former trading company office into a 5 story museum; the owner to a herbal enterprise brought professionals from all over Vietnam so that they could recreate a traditional (and wealthy) house and display the artifacts used in their medicine practice. Each floor is dedicated to a specific thing: herbs, medicinal wines, grinding receptacles, measurements devices, dried plants/seeds (with drawings of each kind displayed on a wall), some very old books and old pottery from centuries ago. I'm not related.to the healing/ medicine area but I liked the place. If you look me old things and learn how things were done centuries ago, that's a place for you to visit. Tickets is 120.000 (U$ 5.00)

Incredibly beautifully designed and completely filled with fascinating exhibitions, including items dating back to the Stone Age. Each little space in the many that make up the museum has numerous decorations and random items, paintings and manuscripts scattered around, reflecting the traditional theme of the place. Some of the exhibitions are interactive, offering a chance to try the ancient grinding devices or manning an old pharmacy. Very informative and outstandingly organized.

The museum is such an oasis. I visited on a quiet day and really felt transported back to another time and place. It’s a great place to learn more about the history and culture of Vietnam, and see a historical side of HCMC that is sometimes hard to come by. I’d recommend going on a less busy day to have the place to yourself.

We totally enjoyed our tour and time at the FITO museum. After paying for the entrance fees we were asked to sit down and were served tea while we waited to go into the room to watch the video on the FITO museum. We got an English speaking guide with an accent but we could understand most of what she was saying. There are so much to see and to learn about the medicine history in Vietnam. The collection of artwork, variety of herbs and medical tools there are simply impressive. It's also a popular place for the local Vietnamese people to visit and influences to dress up to take photos. You can also participate in some of the activities e.g. foot bath if you'd like. The tour is probably not suitable for young children.

I really enjoyed the museum! Ticket costs 120k which is quite a lot for Vietnam in comparison with other museums but it was ok. There is a movie and leaflet about the exhibition in English, Russian, Français and Vietnamese. Museums is huge, there are 5 floors. Architecture is amazing.
