I love Japan so the idea of Japanese hotel was nice but the old male staff was the rudest person I've ever met. No respect shown to customers. He kept talking over me. You know, being good is easy, but being good when customers need help is what brings hospitality to the next level. This hotel doesn't have it and clearly there is not enough training provided for the employees. If he is able to pull that attitude to a customer, I wonder if he's doing that to his colleagues, too. You are allowed to say no, but say it polite like a decent man. The room and decor are old too.

Very good hotel for the money, rooms are clean but slightly dated as hotel is quite old. But matches the quality of Novotel/Intercontinental at a lower price. Breakfast has lots of variety and is nice, 8/10 overall for breakfast. Japanese restaurant on the lobby floor isn’t that great. It’s expensive but not very nice. The food is very pretty though. 5/10 for taste but 10/10 for presentation. I’d recommend trying for the experience but don’t expect the best tasting food.

The hotel looks like a 5 star from the outside but the room we stayed in was poorly maintained and dated. Not sure if it was just our room, we stayed in a deluxe king and noticed the bathroom had a lot of water damage everywhere. The cabinets were peeling and there were rust stains on the floor. We were told the hotel was full and we were so tired we didn’t bother asking to switch to another room. On the plus side, the room was very big and spacious and the bed was clean. We also tried the dinner buffet. Some of the seafood didn’t seem too fresh. The lobster was good though and they have a variety of sauces to choose from. The dessert section was a huge disappointment… they have a crepe station but they’re not made to order. They make plain ones and put them on the side. The crepe tasted crispy instead of soft. Also, breakfast was not free even though google says free. We’ve stayed in lower class hotels in Japan and overall this hotel just didn’t meet our expectations.

Fantastic Hotel with splendid service! I believe the Hotel is part of a Japanese chain. The hospitality was warm and courteous. The staff were very polite. Rooms were a nice size with very comfortable beds. The toilet is separate to the bathroom and is a little on the small side, they did however have the Japanese electric toilet which was fun :). All in all, a great hotel and would highly recommend! I forgot to mention - the breakfast spread was amazing!

Nice hotel, room's are much nicer than there pictures, has a relaxing vibe. Toilet and bathroom are only a few steps from bed so handy when wake up during the night, breakfast would be the only negative for me being westerner it seems more Japanese friendly with the cuisine. Staff at check in are polite and helpful in every way with quick check in. So ya I highly recommend this hotel with competitive prices and deal offers ...

Stayed here for my vacation to Ho Chi Minh / Saigon on 23-26 April 2023. The hotel overall experience is good. Particular mention on my room at level 20 with nice city view during the day, evening, and night. I really could have a great relaxing day in the room after a day out touring. Top notch housekeeping too! Front desk very helpful with quick check-in and check-out. Hotel doorman is very attentive and professional. Even help to ensure we never left anything in the e-hailing after we left the car. Overall, the staff is well trained. You may meet some Vietnamese or Japanese staff but they all have no problem with English. Highly recommended if you are a comfort traveler who are willing to pay for a great holiday memory and safety. This hotel do deserve my 5 mins giving a 5 stars recommendation!

The rooms are clean enough but they are designed in an infuriating way. The master light switch is not by the entrance as it should be, but deep inside the room next to the beds so you have to walk into the room in darkness to get to a light. There is no night stand between the beds and only one of the night stands on the sides has an outlet. The only other outlets available are either on the floor near the entrance or the bathroom. There is 1 towel hook for a suite. The bathroom is in a separate space and has a sink but no towel rack or mirror so you’re just left clumping your wet hand towel on the side of the sink. Who designed this room?? It’s bizarre

Received Warm Welcome with big smile and nice guidance on arrival at hotel. It has pretty neat and comfortable room. Also swimming pool, fitness, and the buffet was wonderful.

I didn’t have a good experience with Nikko hotel when I first contacted to the receptionist asked for more information about party, she didn’t even ask my personal information and transfer it to the sales department. I had to come to talk to them in person. My family spent a short holiday here, room is nice but staffs are not friendly. The only one person who is friendly is the bellman. When my family came to check in, the receptionist asked us to pay deposit 500aud and we will receive it back within 24-48 hours but the moment we checked out, the staffs changed their way and said that money will return within 7 days. Can’t believe it happens at a 5 star hotel.

I’ve been here a couple of times, mostly stayed in Deluxe King, which was spacious and clean, with bathtub, isolated shower area and electronic bidet. This time I chose One-bedroom apartment, the room is super huge! For starter, the kitchen has everything you need. There is a big dining table which you can easily enjoy your takeout/in-room dining and keep your work table clean. Spacious living room and bedroom, both have TV and good lighting. Standard Nikko-shower/toilet with bathtub and washing machine. It’s just amazing. The only downside that I can think of is the power socket. For a 5-star hotel, normally has universal power socket but here only local one, make sure to bring your own adapter.

Lovely hotel in District 1. The staff were enormously helpful and friendly, to the point of even locating a plug for my phone when we arrived a bit too early for check in. The food was amazing there, in both restaurants, and the service from all staff was fabulous. Rooms very clean and nice atmosphere in the hotel. Lovely place in lounge to sit and enjoy a drink end of day.

Room was so clean, staff members were so friendly and facilities were great! Note that the location is amazing for those wanting to explore district 1. However it is a 10 min car drive from Ben Thanh and tourist attractions.

Stayed at the Nikko hotel for a couple of nights in a King Bed Deluxe room… Other than fact the lobby looks presentable, there’s not much that makes this hotel 5 stars. The hotel is getting dated, and our assigned room definitely needs some help. There was water damage all over the place… from the cabinetry of the sink, to the deteriorating chalking of the shower and to the walls around the AC unit discoloration from condensation? The outlets were also lob-sided with the sockets unable to hold the electronic plugs in position. The buffet was okay… the cold crab I doubt was fresh because the meat shredded apart when trying to remove from the shell. The grilled lobster option was good, an abundance of sauce variety to order from. Best thing was probably the garlic butter bread imo, it was rich and buttery.

A great five star hotel with excellent food and good location. I love most of their food, especially fried seafood noodle and desserts. They have babershop and pub inside. Besides, it is easy to go from the hotel to Nowzone mall because they have a private way inside.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a positive experience. They are receptive to feedback, and the staff, were highly professional and responsive. With some minor improvements, this hotel has the potential to become exceptional. I look forward to returning and witnessing the positive changes.

I held my wedding here. The service was amazing, the room was clean and beautiful, and the staff were the kindest and the most helpful and very professional. Highly recommended for all future grooms and brides!

Food is good. Rooms are big but old and stained carpets and roughed up table and chairs inside.

Second stay for us in 2023. Excellent service and attentive staff. True five star hotel, and outdoor pool and indoor sauna included.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at. My room with the Nikko Club Deluxe King Room on level 23 meaning club access and treatment with both checking in and out on floor 23 instead of the lobby. Every single staff member I came across from bell boy, housekeeping, receptionist, buffet staff and so forth have been nothing short of providing exceptional customer service. The rooms are modern and well maintained with the bed/pillows being super comfortable to rest in. Their ensuite is absolutely luxurious with a large bath tub and shower. The shower itself is the best shower design I've experienced being perfectly spacious and balanced shower head. Being a Japanese themed hotel, their toilet separated in its own room from the ensuite is perfect with the hi-tech bidet system installed. Their dinning floor for the buffet is well set up with amazing dishes served for breakfast as per some of my pictures. Level 23 club lounge access made it that extra convenient to have afternoon tea, happy hour treats including some alcohol beverages all part of your room package. I'll definitely be returning to Nikko Saigon Hotel when I'm back in Vietnam as this truly is one of my top experiences staying here.

I've had the pleasure of staying at the Nikko Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City on multiple occasions, and it has never failed to impress. Our first visit was in 2015, and we recently returned with our small children. It's been a delightful experience every time. We recommended this hotel to our uncle, who also enjoyed a fantastic stay multiple time, last in 2022. And this year, my sister and her family will be following our recommendation as well. The breakfast is exceptional, offering a wide variety of delicious options to start your day right. Our children enjoyed it the most. The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The attention to cleanliness throughout the hotel is truly commendable. The spa treatments are just heavenly, providing the perfect relaxation after a day of exploring the vibrant city. We can't wait to return to the Nikko Hotel. It's become our go-to place in Ho Chi Minh City, and we're sure our next visit will be just as wonderful as the previous ones. Highly recommended!

It is like 7 km away from DT, elegant large reception, and Looby, we tried their Japanese restaurant located on the ground floor, called 5 Senses, it was an amazing experience, and top quality food with Master Chef, recommend

Definitely a top notch hotel in Vietnam! The staff were amazing and the room was spectacular! The breakfast was amazing with so many choices! I would definitely stay here every time I come back to Vietnam.

We went for the seafood buffet and it was magnificent, it would be one of the most extensive buffet's I have been too, there is unlimited lobster and crabs in different sauces and made to order and also includes house wine, beer and soft drink, it is great value. Service is also friendly and very efficient.

We came with family of 4. 2 adults and 2 kids. We love Nikko Saigon Hotel. Others than breakfast buffet, they provide tea break and happy hour with drinks and snacks.

Room is clean but our bidet was not working and required staff to come and replace it. They provide liquid hand soap in a small bottle but I think I prefer the usual bar soaps. Overall, still a classy place to stay.

Beautiful view if the city from my room. Front desk was super accommodating. Was able to do a late checkout. Had breakfast in my room and you get so much food for a great price. I would stay at the hotel again next time im in the city.

Room is spacious and clean. However, breakfast and spa aren't good. Don't waste your money on spa service. With that price, their services aren't up to standard at all. The girls who did the massage arent very skillful. Hotel has lots of dishes but they aren't good quality. Services and staff are friendly but spa and breakfast can be improved.

The hotel overall were very good. The reason I did not give it a 5 stars was the service by the hostess at the breakfast buffet. Upon entering the dining area, it felt as if the hostess assumed we were not guests at the hotel, while seating us she threw a comment by saying our room does not have breakfast buffet included while she new that it does have the buffet included because I gave her my room # already. As a guest of a 5 stars hotel, the hostess made me FEEL LIKE I WAS TRYING TO GET A FREE MEAL. I hope this is brought to the management attention because I felt very offended.

The best brand The hotel is one of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever experienced. The provided ancillary items like lotions etc were adequate. The staff are very professional and seem to enjoy their job. The location is great. Over a 5 year period I’ve stayed here when i come back to VN and am always justified in my decision. Thanks to the management of this hotel for consistently keeping the hotel very well run.

Never gets old. I’ve been a frequent customer since 2014. They continue to provide high quality food + terrific service and affordable prices. Many seafood buffets in HCM come and go or cannot sustain all traits like Nikko.

  • 5/5 Linh C M. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing venue for seafood buffet, a bit pricey compared to other places but it includes free flow of drinks & a wide variety of dishes & lobster / crab signature styles that are served to the table. Nice & discreet atmosphere as well. Absolutely worth it for a family treat.

Ooh I love the afternoon tea and service here. Room was clean and spacious too. The staff went above and beyond to help me celebrate my moms birthday. This will be my top choice when I visit hcm again!

Truly a 5 star hotel and experience in Vietnam. Staff were great and highly trained. Great place to relax after coming off a long flight, before hitting the busy streets.

Friendly staff. A lot of amenities. Money exchange, restaurants, nice pool, spacious gym with free weights. Rooms are clean! Excellent, Excellent property. Location is next to a mall for some shopping. It’s not next to the tourist attractions but the location is still great. Fabulous hotel

  • 5/5 Philip O. 1 year ago on Google
Room is splendid and the service impeccable as well. Breakfast in the morning is great too, a good mix of Vietnam food, western continental, Korean and Japanese fares too. The only downside i guess is the location. There's a convenience store nearby and its quite complete for daily necessities, but no supermarket nearby. Eating places are also quite limited.

Spacious, clean room and good food as well. Staff were amazing and very accommodating. We had a lovely stay here. Totally recommend the japanese restaurant on the lobby. Downside is the locations is a bit far from all the tourist area in Saigon

  • 3/5 Eric F. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms are great. Nice and clean. But the service at the 3rd floor restaurant doesn't match the quality of the hotel. If you are looking for a good lunch buffet, better to go somewhere else. The food is ok, the buffet price is reasonable and you can order unlimited times from the buffet menu but will wait for a long time and be lucky if you get what you ordered. And since they already brought food that I didn't order, I had to take it and some of my order never came. It's just disappointing.

  • 5/5 ming c. 1 year ago on Google
Very good breakfast buffet, quiet rooms, hotel internet could do better, but 4G coverage was very good. Japanese toilet, spacious rooms with nice view. Next to a mall. Location rated only 3 stars because there are not a lot of restaurants or bars around the area on walking distance.

  • 4/5 Fabrizio P. 1 year ago on Google
Review for both room and lounge: Nice service, although we didn't have our room cleaned after asking for room service outside the door. Rooms have amazing facilities and are beautiful. Lounge's food was good, but not worth the price. Overall recommended.

Definitely the best seafood buffet we had on our travels through Thailand and Vietnam. A must do if in Saigon. Lobster cooked in many different styles. Crab and oysters were so good. Sashimi fish choices were fantastic and prepared so well. Drinks were great. Staff were excellent.

Had a wonderful experience with Nikko. I didn’t opt for breakfast or on-site restaurants so I can’t speak to those, but everything else was top tier. Location is perfect. You’re relatively close to everything and easily accessible for taxis and Grab. Their rooms are clean, well designed, and luxurious. All of my guests were as impressed as I was. My only regret is not staying with them on my previous trips. I would like to especially acknowledge their concierge team that went above and beyond to help me. I had rushed to the airport and realized I left my laptop behind. They not only delivered my laptop (enabling me to catch my flight), but also found other items I had forgotten. Thank you Nikko Saigon for the wonderful experience. I look forward to staying with y’all again and I’m sure my team will enjoy the experience as well.

Very great hotel with amazing breakfast. I do like the color theme and also decoration. The room is clean and tidy. Free parking (You need to bring the ticket to the Receptionist for stamping)

The location of the hotel was great. Clean rooms, friendly, helpful and smiling staff who are well groomed. Everything and everyone we encountered was great. Huu T. Pham the concierge manager was wonderful. He helped us a lot during our stay and I truly appreciated everything he has done for us. He is a great asset to the company and should be rewarded. Overall, I would come back to the hotel.

Nice place. Staff attitude is unbearable. I called to book for my wedding and the guy on the phone said to me “if you can pay for it” when I said I only have 55 guest and he said minimum is 100 guest. I said if I pay for 100 guest can I have my wedding there. I even had to ask “is your required pricing based to money or number of people?” As it’s one of the most important day of my life, attitude of the hotel staff plays important role.

  • 3/5 Shinobi S. 10 months ago on Google
District 1 hotel which is away from the common sites. More of a local vibe but seems to still attract many clientele. I would say this hotel feels a bit run down compared to many Nikko hotels in Asia. Sadly the suite room allocated to me looked directly into the adjacent building so could not appreciate the views.
