    I started training with J-Train a few weeks ago. So far have had a great experience. The approach to training appears to be very systematic, taking into account my objectives as well as specific challenges. Variety and intensity has been increasing progressively. There is a lot of focus on good form. Training is very balanced, including strength, stamina, flexibility and balance. My trainer Max is very supportive and encouraging. Also he recorded several videos for me to follow when I work out on my own.

    J-train is an awesome gym. I’ve been going for a couple weeks now and looking forward to each training session. J is a great trainer, knows the ins and outs of fitness and weight lifting. Since training with J I’ve felt better than ever and already am seeing great results. I can tell he takes care of all of his clients too. He motivates you and engages through great conversation. All around great fitness experience.

    I started with J-Train roughly two months ago. When they asked me what my goal was, I told them I wanted to change my body composition and perhaps add some muscle. Fast forward — last weekend I had to get all new work shirts thanks to the results. Rene is a real professional, planning workouts focused on effective movements and hard sets, but always with an eye on safety (which is important for a guy in his 40s who has injured himself in the past). If you are looking for motivation and a team who will keep you accountable to your goals, this is the place.

    I have been training with Rob at JTrain for a year now and he is the absolute best trainer I have ever had. The gym is no frills and could use a bit of maintenance, but Rob makes up for it with his extreme dedication to his clients. Rob keeps detailed notes and has a set plan for every session. The best part is that Rob keeps it fun while not getting in the way of his client’s hard work. I can’t speak of the other trainers at JTrain, but consider yourself lucky if you ever get an opportunity to workout with Rob!

    J-Train is fantastic operation and very well run. Max Pena is a top notch trainer. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and constructs comprehensive workouts that include combinations of free weights, body weight exercises, and flexibility training. I love his intensity and his customized approach. I’d highly recommend J-Train and Max to anyone in the Hoboken area looking for a best in class personal trainer experience.

    Love working out at J-train and with Maximo! It’s a wonderful community and really pushed this new mama to get back to fitness after a year and a half postpartum and post pandemic. After a year with Maximo, I have lost 20lbs (thanks to healthy eating tips as well from Maximo) and feel stronger for my little toddler. Maximo’s workouts incorporates strength, mobility and stretch in unique and seamless ways to work for you. I’d absolutely recommend J-train for anyone no matter your level of fitness.

    I have been training with Rob for months and couldn’t be happier. I always look forward to my sessions with him. He cares, listens and makes adjustments if I need. I look and feel better! I’m challenged and have become stronger in the process. I would recommend Rob to anyone looking to get in shape and have a good time doing it! Also, he’s a great connecter :)

    My experience at J-Train has been nothing but positive. Kyle is fantastic; he has pushed me to improve, but always at my own pace. What I am able to do now feels like a real achievement in my physical fitness journey, and I'm now able to do exercises that I would not have thought I would have been able to when I first began at J-Train.
