We stayed in the Cedar Cottage and it was spacious and super clean. Everything we needed was provided by Phil and his team, including a binder with thoughtful details. This romantic getaway is exactly what we needed and very close to hiking spots----with an easy to use hot tub for relaxing our muscles after. The water pressure in the shower is low but doable. Recommend this cabin experience!

We love the cabins! We have stayed in the green and red, and next we will return for the blue. Everything you need when you want to getaway! You have your very own forest trails to hike and fish filled pond to enjoy!

My husband and I have been renting these cabins for at least eight years. I refuse to go anywhere else because I know how well they are taken care of and I know how sweet and kind the owner, Phillip, is. If you want a comfortable, cozy, and tranquil place to stay, this is your place!

Phil did a great explaining about the property and where the prime things to do were located. We stayed in the Green Cabin and loved it. It's great for a quiet get away or a place to stay while you visit all the trails, caves, and waterfalls in the area. The cabin was VERY clean. A+++

My SO and I are not new to visiting Hocking Hills, but this is our first visit to Frontier Log Cabins. We were looking for a new spot for our yearly trip, and we've found it. From my early research I found Frontier, and emailed a few questions. Less than 24 hours later I received an email response from a gentleman named Phil, and after a brief exchange of answering my questions I had made my reservation. We stayed in the green cabin, it was clean, had everything we needed, and the surrounding area was absolutely quiet and serene. Phil (who turned out to be the owner) was friendly, attentive yet left us alone (cabins are about a quarter mile from the office) to enjoy our stay. If you're looking for a cozy getaway - this is your spot. Not that I want to rush summer, but I'm already looking forward to next year - might even try to do two trips a year like I used to at some point. What also really surprised me is the great wifi/Internet access, and streaming ability of the TV. We don't have cable at home, but do have Sling, etc - so we were able to "bring" our TV with us! While it's nice to disconnect (local area definitely doesn't have reliable cell service) it's also handy to have as well. Lasty, be sure to take the on property trail to the pond and feed the fish.

We've stayed here twice, in the Blue Cabin. First time in 2022 in February and it was amazing. Quiet, clean, a really neat experience. Second time 2023 in February and we got engaged on this trip! They made significant upgrades to the bed, hot tub and tv. They are extremely kind people and we will be making it a yearly visit for us!

This was an amazing getaway from all the noise of everyday life. Came for a weekend and would do it again in a heartbeat. The hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking, and all the necessities are there. Thanks for a great stay!

My husband booked the red cabin for a surprise birthday getaway for me. He could not have chosen a better place to stay. The cabin was extremely clean, we have never stayed anywhere, where the bed itself felt super clean. The cabin was super cozy, the property itself with the hiking trial & pond was great. It was nice & peaceful. We will definitely stay again & would definitely recommend these cabins for anyone who is looking for a nice quiet getaway from the everyday hustle & bustle.

This was our first visit to the Hocking Hills area. We stayed in the Green Cabin and I do not have a single negative thing to say about the cabin or the service given to us! Micah was so helpful during our check in process! The cabin itself was absolutely amazing! Exactly what I had pictured and expected! It was well stocked with every day essentials and immaculately clean! Each morning we enjoyed walking to the on-property catch and release pond to feed the fish with fish food provided by Micah upon our check in. Absolutely beautiful and so very relaxing. The entire property is breathtakingly beautiful. A fun little addition was the “Where’s George?” game hidden within the cabin. Previous guests hid dollar bills and wrote down hints as to where to find them. Once you find the dollars - you re-hide them and write your new clues down for the next guest to search! Just too cute! It was really nice having the hot tub available to climb into and relax after a long day of hiking. Super clean and well maintained. We will be planning a trip back to the Hocking Hills area and I will definitely stay at one of the Frontier Log Cabins properties again! Thank you for helping to make our visit such an enjoyable and memorable experience!

Summer vacation sucked here. We stayed in the red barn. Upon arrival the owners son was upset that we didn't knock on the "office door" meanwhile check in wasn't easy as the son thought he could undermine me who in fact paid for the cabin. We went to the barn cabin and within a couple of hours, there was no air conditioning. We went back to the office and he couldn't get anyone back out because there was a hole in the line. No fans were offered and the floors were slippery. I had to ask for a discount and when I did the son was smug about it. He said well you guys could leave. I wouldn't recommend going here unless the ownership has changed. When we left it was 85 in the cabin To the owner of the response. Yes, it was two years ago, and no, no one came came the next day. I would presume the bad reviews are being deleted due to your unprofessional manner. My then fiance and now husband was a witness. You have a lovely day. I'm glad your demeanor hasn't changed.

In love with the Blue Cabin and already looking into a winter booking. The cabin was so clean and well stocked. The bed was so comfortable. The screened in patio and hot tub with a secluded woodland view was heaven. It was the perfect getaway. We loved the trails and feeding the fish at the pond. The woodland property was gorgeous and it was so quiet. We also hiked, went ziplining and went on the butterfly trail close by. This trip was the perfect ending to our summer. We will definitely be back and hopefully for a longer stay!

This was a last minute booking for my gf birthday literally made the day before and only had time to book one night called the owner explained the situation and he was more than happy to accommodate us. My gf loves barns so I booked the hitching post cabin and it was perfect looked like a barn and super spacious inside absolutely loved our time here.
