Decent bike path with nice grade changes, I wish they had bridges to pass over roads but still it's not bad. Great for a bike ride.

My boyfriend and I discovered this nice little place on our way to an errand. We loved it! The lake is very serene and beautiful. I recommend bringing a Lawn chair, to relax and take it all in. There are people that come with their bicycle, there's trails. People also come to fish, we seen them fishing. We've continued to come again. It's a good place for a picnic. Family friendly. Update 06/09/2022 We tried fishing and we had a great time. We caught 2 fishes in not evening an hour of being there! So much fun and great scenery!

This is a great place to hang out at. It has trails that are in good condition for any type of wheels( stroller, bike ,skates). It's very clean and easy to get around. Plenty of parking and a portable restroom. Well water but no concession stand . It's very family oriented so your safe to have a picnic or party. No pavilion so you have to come when the weather's nice . Fishing but no boats .

My buddy and I love this place. We just walk around the lake. It's probably about a mile. So it's a decent distance for both of us. On a nicer day he enjoys going for a swim as well. There are also miles and miles of paths around there to explore. So there is a little something for everyone.

I enjoy coming here on my bike rides, since bode lake is connected to a pretty long trail. I especially enjoy coming here during the sunset when the lake looks spectacular! A word of caution though, sometimes the pay near the east edge of the lake can get flooded during times of heavy rain. Otherwise it's a nice easy path to walk on. As for people with wheelchair needs or other special accomodations, the entrance to the park is a tad steep so be careful. The park also has picnic tables too and a big empty area to play in.

Great forest preserve! A lot of different bird species come to these waters . This is not the parks fault but people have to stop littering here . Pick up what you brought or don’t come ! Fishing is decent. I only have luck in the spring , but that could be my fishing techniques.Fyi DNR comes time to time to check licenses.

Great day to fly a drone. No skeeter, flies or pests. Lot of folks fishing. Did not know this was a designated Ice Fishing Lake. Peace.

We could see the bottom of the lake pretty far out.we went fishing with the kids. We didn’t catch anything but seen lots of monies and blue gills🤷🏽‍♀️ lots of ppl were fishing today in the same vacinity as us

Nice preserve. Lots of fish in the lake but holy ticks. Make sure you check yourself for ticks.

The paved loop is a nice 1 hour long bike ride at 8.8 miles. There are a few road crossings with traffic signals but all have crosswalk buttons and signals
