This is a lovely hotel with very friendly staff. The room was comfortable with a big bathroom. The breakfast was very good, as was the food in the restaurant. As a 'solo traveller', I felt looked after. At the end of my stay I accidentally locked the key to my suitcase padlock inside the case: whoops! But after cutting the lock to allow me to retrieve the key, the hotel handyman kindly soldered the lock back together so all was well for my onward journey! Excellent no-fuss service.

We have stayed at Hotel Hirsch twice and we have been very satisfied with it. The location is great: just a road separates it from the Altstadt (the center of the city which is the old walled part). The rooms are well done, clean and has most of the features that one needs for a pleasant stay. Since our first stay in this hotel it has been extended: the new part has rooms and a breakfast room. The rooms are air-conditioned (the old part is not), functional (the old part has Bavarian furniture and decoration) and has a business-hotel feel to it. The two parts are connected and if one didn't know of the later addition, one would think that the rooms are the same. There are advantages and disadvantages in choosing rooms in one over the other. We did not eat in the restaurant this time because we wanted to sample the many eateries that were within walking distance in the old city. We will be back!

Fun and quirky hotel. We were kindly upgraded to the next room category. It was a lovely size, located at the end of the hotel with amazing views looking down towards the high street in one direction and over to the mountains in the other. Quirky colourful furnishings in both the rooms and the corridors harping back to a bygone era. Bathroom was a little small but perfectly functional and with complimentary toiletries provided. My only negative is that there was no in room tea tray provided. Additionally, the hotel has a lovely roof terrace with sun loungers overlooking the mountains. Breakfast was a wonderful continental breakfast with so much choice we really were spoilt. There is parking, although it was limited and a tight squeeze. Great location just at the end of town, but nothing is more than a 10-minute walk away. I wish we had stayed longer and really want to return.

This is my second day at Hotel Hirsch. Both times it's been a loveliest experience. The hotel is aggressively Bavarian, in the best way. The rooms have scroll trim and views of both Füssen and the Alps. The restaurant in the hotel and outside beer garden are fabulous with excellent Bavarian food. Breakfast is full continental and included in the cost of the room. Parking is included. I highly recommend it.

Our first night in Europe and our biggest regret is only being able to stay for one night. Wonderful hotel with great personal always willing to help. The vibes were authentically German and we couldn’t have appreciated it more. We did stay in the newer room with all of the latest upgrades. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was huge and overall great setup for parents with a 12 year old to have personal space if you want it. Breakfast was included and they had a nice variety to choose from. One of my main concerns was finding parking. Solved without a problem. We had pulled up in front of the door to the restaurant and were told we could stay right there. Huge thank you to Hotel Hirsch for providing us with an outstanding first night in Europe. Highly recommend.

Hotel is very nice and in the centre of the town. Everything was very neat and clean and also the breakfast was very good. The staff was very kind and helping as they helped us ordering a taxi and gave us some coupons for visiting some tourist places in the city. There is also a very pretty rooftop with a nice view to chill.

Despite the positive reviews my experience was mixed. The biggest drawback was the narrow single bed. It was advertised as a "twin-bed" which tricked me into thinking that it was a double-bed, but unfortunately it was only a single bed. The term "twin-bed" is technically correct for a single bed, but it can mislead people. Many other hotels are clear about this and advertise a single-bed as a single-bed. The bed also had a slight slope which made sleeping uncomfortable. The curtains in the room were insufficient for blocking out light, and there were no power sockets within reach of the bed which was somewhat inconvenient.

A lovely hotel at the edge of a beautiful, historic town. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was splendid, offering a great variety and constantly being replenished by the waiting staff. It has a very nice beer garden offering great beer and excellent traditional Bavarian cusine. We were sad to leave Hotel Hirsch and Fussen. There is so much to explore in the town, 2 nights wasn't long enough.

Convenient location to access Füssen. Good parking if you plan on taking your vehicle up to the nearby castles. The modern rooms were very nice and well appointed. They have lots of room and a small sitting area. The large windows are nice too. The restaurants looked delicious, but we found another option nearby.

We had dinner here and it wasn’t the best place we have eaten. I had roast beef with green beans in bacon. The bacon wasn’t cooked well but the green beans were good. The beef was ok. My husband had the be venison and it was tough. Great beer selection! In German I asked for water with two glasses and we still only got one.

Adorable little boutique hotel. Close to old town and busses for castle tours. Free breakfast in the am was great and traditional food was served. Bed is a little hard, but overall nice room, location and roof too is lovely too.
