The most beautiful lake I have ever seen in mountains. I can compare its turquisecolour of waters to Plitvice Lakes. The walk around the lake took over 3 hours for our group 4 to 47 years old people but the omly reason "why so long" is we had to stop every few meters to make a picture or check the sound of bouncing pebble by dropping it to frozen lake. We had big fun admiring the views and brathing clean air a specially it was easy to walk there - almost all the time flat terrain. Even people with baby carts were faster than us ;)

Beautiful place with stunning views. You can comfortably hike around the lake in a couple of hours! We went in winter when most of the lake was frozen but was still a sight to behold!

Stunning scenery! I was there on a rainy day in September 2022. I walked around the lake and took lots of photos. There are viewing spots, benches and litter bins , to enjoy the view, rest and also keep the nature clean.

Just incredible top to button. Cog wheel train, + 4.5 km tunnel experience, Great Alps mountain range view from top , then large Cable Car, Elbsee lake (crystal clear water that I have ever seen + boating is just mesmerising and awesome view. Restaurants , ice , cafe is having normal rate.

Stunning, picturesque lake. Definitely a must see! The walking trail that loops around the lake is well maintained and covered in gravel. There are no toilet stops along the way. It takes about 2 hours, more if you make lots of stops. There are a few beach access points along the way towards the beginning and end of the loop. Itโ€™s a easy to moderate hike (mostly flat but also some inclines). On a summer day, late morning or mid day, the path is about half shaded and half sunny. You can also rent some water sport equipment or take a boat ride around the lake.

A corner of paradise. The lake was completely frozen over and people were walking on it. It is a 7 km walking track and it is very enjoyable.

Fantastic place in the middle of the pure nature, where you can walk, relax, swim and observe the gorgeous landscape ๐ŸŒ„ The water is so clear. Only a costly parking near to the lake though. Definitely a to-go if on the area!

This lake at the foot of Zugspitz Mountain is a great place to visit if you like hiking and beautiful scenery. There are many trails in the area, but my wife and I took the 2.5 hour walk around the stunning crystal clear lake. There is another travel photo op every 50 meters! You will love it! Close parking, nice gift shop, fun lakeside restaurant with very good Brats mit Brot! You can rent a canoe or paddle boat if you wish. Have Fun!

Wow stunning lake beautiful mountain scenery. The colours are amazing. There is a path all the way around the lake. Suggest getting there early to secure a parking spot. Otherwise it is a long walk up the hill to get to the lake.

Beautiful is an understatement. Itโ€™s mesmerizing from top of Zugspitze and equally gorgeous when you walk down to lake. Calm, clean and picturesque. There is a lot you can do near around like hiking, walking and sitting back and relaxation. On busy days parking can be a challenge as itโ€™s overcrowded being next to Zugspitze. All in all a must visit place.

Very few lakes have this view in the world. I went in winter so it was almost empty and get this the lake was completely frozen. Even people walked on it. You can take the route to cover the whole lake or just go to shore. Can have a different view coming down from Zugspitze via the Seilbahn. Update August 2023 Went again in summer. More photos.

Walking around the lake, enjoying its cold water. I walked more around 15 km and it is my personal record I guess for a day. It is all because of the extremely beautiful lake view. Konigsee is still my best ๐Ÿ™ƒ

Nice lake with many activities. We rented a paddle boat with a good price. Also, the lake is beside the Top of Germany cable car.

One of the beautiful lakes in Bavaria Germany. Parking is available right next to the lake. It takes 4-5 hrs to circuit around the lake. In summers itโ€™s usually busy.

This has to be the most stunning lake. Crystal clear water, refreshingly cold, and just peaceful on the paddle board. We arrived around 8 am and got great parking, hardly any people, you can just enjoy the scenery. The boats are expensive and limited to two hours only. Then you have to wait in line again and rest assured there will be a line. We took our own paddle boards and this was best because you only pay for parking then which for a few hours only coat us 10 euros. We absoluteky enjoyed every second of it and by far the best lake to enjoy because it isnt a man made algae mess.

Located at the base station of Zugspitze, Eibsee is a really beautiful lake. I visited in autumn especially to enjoy the different Colorโ€™s of the trees. Going early morning is also nice as one can still see most over the lake. There is also paid parking available in walkable distance to the lake.

The zugspitse and eibsee are at the same spot. And I must say super clear and clean water. You need around 2 hours in order to completely walk through the lake. Most touristy place but highly recommended

Absolutely worth the time. Iโ€™ve visited the area in multiple occasions, yet never disappointed. Can be crowded but for good reason. For any fitness level suitable.

Beautiful lake. It is quite touristy during the summers. But the view is worth it. There are water activities and can also take the cable car upto zugspite . You need a whole day to explore this place . Either one day trips or stay in a lodge.

The best like Iโ€™ve been close to Munich, so far. Itโ€™s crowed in summer time but worth to visit. The water is so transparent and even though is not warm I couldnโ€™t not jump in. To get there you can take a bus that might take longer but is possible with the DB ticket :) canโ€™t wait to visit during winter

Itโ€™s beautiful, you can go in all the seasons and all of them are awesome. I post some pictures from Autumn. The only problem is the parking but after waiting 30 min you will get a spot. The walking tour is around 2h and a half and you can take a swim.

Beautiful lake! If you're attempting the loop trail, start counter clockwise for the best views (start at the restaurant). The 2nd half of trail is mostly trees

Wonderful lake absolutely worth visiting! You can go around lake or swim in it. I recommend to arrive earlier because after 12:00 there is a huge line of cars trying to find a parking lot. We arrived at 8:30 and always found a spot

Stunning. Recommend walking around the whole lake to get the full experience. Snow capped mountains in background and just stunning water. Safe to swim.

Nice scenery, but the public transportation to the place was a total nightmare. Bus is extremely full of tourist and not frequent, everyone pushes each other in order to squeeze into the bus. I would recommend driving own car if it's possible.

Stunning place, donโ€™t even have words to describe how pretty it is. Itโ€™s expansive but itโ€™s worth it! Only thing that I regret was not swimming there ๐Ÿ˜„

It is located at the foot of the Zugspitze. This lake's water is clear, emerald-green. We were amazed to see the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. We enjoyed our lunch on the bank of this beautiful river. You can swim here but the water is too cold. You can rent boats and paddle boats on Eibsee. This is a great way to explore the lake and see the surrounding mountains.

Lake Eibsee ๐ŸŒŠ We got great views of the lake coming down from Zugspitze. Although we went on a cold and windy day, we still enjoyed the beautiful lake! Thereโ€™s only 1 entrance to the lake so you have to park in one of the parking areas by the ski center. Parking is so pricey thoughโ€” we spent 8,00โ‚ฌ for less than 1 hour!!! ๐Ÿ˜ก Thereโ€™s a nice walking trail around the entire lake and pets are welcome. The water level was very low when we went but you can see the beautiful contrast in colors and itโ€™s gorgeous. Great place for a nice walk and some family photos!

A fun outing to go naf enjoy the sun in summers with your friends and family. We hiked from Garmish to Eibsee and it was really fun. ๐Ÿ˜Š If it's sunny do not miss the boat ride, it's quite cheap if you are in a group of 4-5. The restaurant is also good with variety of food option and with a beautiful view.
