The best bit about Tropical Sunset Beach Apartment Hotel is the location - right on the beautiful beach on the Platinum Coast of west Barbados. You can literally walk from your room and be on the beach in less than 1 minute. Being in the heart of Holetown, everything else in this popular location is also within a very short walk including: Massey Stores - a large supermarket with excellent choice including food from Waitrose! Zaccios - a beachfront bar and restaurant Just Grillin’ - their speciality is jerk chicken Bean n Bagel - great spot for breakfast St. James Tennis Club - 3 well maintained outdoor hard courts Chattel Village - a small collection of restored Bajan chattel houses now re-imagined as pastel-coloured boutique stores and cafés, including the excellent Carizma (another tasty breakfast hang-out) 1st Street / 2nd Street - a neighbourhood of restaurants, bars and clubs to suit different tastes and pockets Limegrove Lifestyle Centre - a high-end shopping mall incorporating luxury boutiques and restaurants Holetown Post Office Holetown Police Station The complex has its own swimming pool with sunbathing deck / beds and dedicated loungers with parasols on the beach (directly accessed via a couple of steps). The staff are friendly, the accommodation, although a ‘tired’ and in need of some updates, is kept clean and safe and the rooms are comfortable. All have sea-view balconies and large, comfortable beds. Each studio room also has a small equipped kitchen. A major renovation project has been postponed until 2021. This place offers excellent value for money rather than luxury - but you have the same amazing views and crystal clear sea as Sandy Lane just along the coast...

We stayed in the Tropical Sunset Beach 7 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Everything was great! There are so many great cafés and restaurants within walking distance. We ate at Zaccios, Surfside Cafe, Carizma, the Tides, Paul Owen's, the Mews and others. The hotel itself was very nice and the room was very clean. The only thing that needs to be updated are some towels and bed sheets. Looks like it's time to get some new ones. Gorgeous view from the balcony every day. Every morning we were walking on the beach for an hour or even more. Wonderful location and the best beach ever!

This place is wonderful! I stayed here for 2 weeks in October 2023, and had the most incredible time... I travelled a lot around the Caribbean, and nowhere did I have the magnificent sunsets that I had on my balcony at Tropical Sunset hotel. And every room has that view! A beautiful beach is right outside the hotel. The staff are phenomenal - friendly and caring for every single guest. I slept super well, as rooms are facing away from the street, and the only thing you can hear is the sound of the waves crashing into the shore... Free parking next to the hotel, a supermarket right across the street, fantastic shops and restaurants 5 minutes walk at Limegrove - this place really has everything you need for a fantastic holiday. And the sunsets - oh my the sunsets... magical!

We spent the day on the beach as guests today. Curly was the most excellent host, ensuring that my friend and I were comfortable, happy and not unduly bothered by people selling on the Beach. He was helpful and courteous and allowed us to use the sunbeds for a small fee with access to toilets and a shower. Just what we needed. The sea is cordoned off for safe swimming as there are boats and jet skis around. There are lovely places to eat nearby and parking. Highly recommended.

Great stay here - all employees were friendly and helpful, view is amazing, food on site, right in the beach and close to a lot. You can walk into the water and snorkel right there. Will be back Forsure

Stayed here a few times and staff are generally friendly. They have a private pool with direct access to the beach. The hotel is directly across from a supermarket and close to Limegrove shopping centre and other restaurants. The rooms are clean and the room I was in had a newly refurbished bathroom. The rooms also have a little kitchenette, fridge, microwave and job .... If you plan to prepare your own food. Each room has a balcony or if you're on the ground floor you have direct access to the pool/beach. This time the restaurant and bar were undergoing renovations so were closed unfortunately.

Perfect location! Sea view, with lots of restaurants close by. We found water sports and other activities right on the beach. Hope to be back one day!
