    It’s hard to find office/receptionist staff that are 100% good at their jobs but this office has been one of the worst so far. It felt like i was looking the mean girls from high school in the face again. These women answering the phones clearly are not suitable/ do not have the patience to deal with patients struggling with mental health. They are impatient, unkind, and have an attitude regarding anything they might have to do a little extra work for. This office is not friendly and I won’t get into having to change providers so often within the office due to unprofessionalism. I hope the ladies who run the front desk can grow and realize this may not be the correct career calling and to allow more patient and empathetic people to join their staff.

    I was treated so horribly at Holland Hospital Behavioral health today. My provider left the practice, and I made an appointment with her before she left. She suggested that I call back and make an appointment in a couple of months. Fast forward a month later, I call to get a prescription filled and I was told my chart was closed. I asked if it could be reopened or if I could scheduled time with a new provider and the receptionist said no. Thankfully I work in the health care field and could figure out a way to get my meds and find a new provider, but what happens if I didn’t understand how to navigate the completed health care system? I was never notified of the closure, or given a reason why. The receptionist said they left a VM, but I have gone back through my VM’s 4 times and can’t find one. How can you care for people in mental health crises, when you so quickly turn your back on patients? I could see if I was seeking a controlled substance, but I was asking for my antidepressants.. and was denied. I was also told that I was not “welcome back”. For what? I missed one appointment because of a car accident, and that was years ago. What could I have done? This is my first of many complaints, I want patients to know just how poorly this office is operated, and if you are seeking help, please go to an organization that plans to stick with you until you get the help you need.

    I was advised by the inpatient services to see a LMSW here. I received my bill after one appointment for $188. My insurance covered a whopping 9.3% of the bill. Is this what "we take your insurance" means? The charge was for "psychiatric diagnostic evaluation" which I did not receive at all in any sense of the matter. I saw a LMSW which has no legal ground for psychiatric work, I was never diagnosed, nor was I evaluated. Upon calling billing, she told me I was paying for the paper I filled out my first day. This questionnaire was wondering if I was depressed and associated symptoms. $188 to fill out a paper explaining that I am depressed, and they wonder why... I contacted the hospital and spoke with another woman that hung up on me and when I reached her again she sent me to a different voicemail. This place, just like the rest of them, does not care about helping people. This is another business just like all other healthcare in our country. You wonder why people are anxious and depressed? Because none of us can afford these premiums and we get billed for help we didn't receive. Do not come here for your own sake please stay away.

    If I could put no stars, I would. I highly discourage anyone with mental health concerns from going here. They have only made my situation worse at this point. After my testing was rescheduled several times to later dates, my follow up appointment was rescheduled 4 times before I finally complained that I was called to be rescheduled for a 5th time. I finally got my appointments done and was awaiting my report to be sent in to my pcp. My psychiatrist told me it would be sent in by the end of the week so to make an appointment for the following week. I call my pcp that next Monday, no report was sent. Call my psychiatrist office and he didn’t file my report and was out of the office for another week and a half. So now I have to continue to wait even longer for help, go around and reschedule my pcp appointment, find a babysitter again for my children, and wait for whenever he decides to send my report in. For someone struggling and trying to find help, this has been an absolutely awful experience.

    After Dr. Joyce Gregory was "let go" under what I consider bizarre circumstances, and everyone one else that was supposed to take my case was also terminated, I was told due to missing two telemed appointments my case was closed and I was no longer welcome there. Funny, after being a patient since 2007. Nice way to treat someone who suffers from Borderline Personality Disorder!

    5/1/23 BEWARE!!!! I've been caring for my mental health for over 12 years, along with some great doctors in Chicago, so my experience is very deep. I've never in my life seen or been to a facility like this! The staff are very rude, especially the respetionists, they have no compassion! Just try calling and asking questions! I'll allow myself to go into a mental breakdown before I step another foot in this building or even see another Doctor at this facility. All around, the worse experience I've ever had dealing with my mental health in 12 plus years. My concern is for new mental health patients that finally get the courage to find help, and they find these jokers for their first appointment. Do not go to this facility! Trust the reviews you're reading! I thought it couldn't be that bad, and it's a lot worse then you can imagine.

    Wife called for intense anxiety and mental issues, was looking for treatment options. What we received was an irritated operator that insisted an emergency room visit was the only way to get behavior health (despite the issue not being life threatening). These people will refuse you service. And they do not seem to care for their community unless you can pay them tons of money by falsely lining up in the emergency room to pad their accounts with money. What a disgrace and a prime example of how bad mental health is handled in the US.

    I'm giving 2 star only because I like my therapist. No staff the receptionist the biller the scheduler are all just rude will pass a message to the doctor don't give too s**** about you and your Mental Health crisis it's really sad this is my second time being here I was actually there for 10 years I was away for three and now I'm back because Holland doesn't have a lot to offer but I feel like they should fire their entire receptionist
