My son went to the dentist for the first time and the staff and the experience was great from beginning to the end. My son is super shy with new people and doesn’t like for people to be right up on him. He’s not especially excited to go to the doctors office so I wanted to choose a pediatric dentist that would be patient and tolerable of a toddler and service from a place of understanding. The atmosphere is set up so well with the lobby having great toys and movies for the kids to watch. They even put on a movie in the consult room while we waited for the dentist to come in. Dr. Romero has a great bedside manner and is very knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. She did a great job in making sure that my son played a part in the experience to make him feel more comfortable as she allowed him hold the dental mirror while she examined his teeth. I’m glad that I chose Smiling Turtles and I believe I will continue to have great experiences in the future for his routine visits.

I just had the best experience at smiling turtle with my son! The faculty was very clean with tons of fun things for kids to do while you wait (which was very short). My son really loved the tv on the ceiling that he watched while getting serviced. Dr. Bridgers was amazing! She was super kind and very helpful! She explained his treatment and recommendations so we felt encouraged and supported! 10/10 recommend taking your little one there! We drove from Durham and it was sooo worth it!

I enjoy the actual dentist, but the hygienists and the receptionist are always so grumpy and impersonal. They also asked me not to come back with my daughter for her filing. She’s 7. She was so upset and they had to get me. I feel like a child should never be alone for a medical procedure without a parent to see and hear what’s going on. I don’t think we will go back because it’s been pretty bad every time we’ve been.

Everyone is so friendly here! It was my 4 year old son's first experience at the dentist and everyone was wonderful. Dentist, front desk, assistant all friendly and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone with kids.

I'm totally in love with this whole office. I have three boys ages four to seven who have been attending since they opened. They are patient and kind and so incredibly good with the kids. The best thing is they are fast. It can be a lot for kids to go but they try to make it as efficient as possible, and nobody likes to go to the dentist so kids are anxious as it is.

We just took my two sons- 4 years old and 1 year old- and I cannot say enough positive things about The Smiling Turtle. From the woman at the front desk, to the dental assistant, and to the dentist - Dr. Bridgers- they could not have been more welcoming, warm, and kind. They genuinely care about making sure you and your children have a wonderful experience. My one year old didn’t even cry when they cleaned his teeth for the first time-truly amazing people and facility. I will be taking my kids there for as long as they will take them!

We love coming to The Smiling Turtle Pediatric Dentistry! The staff is always very welcoming and gets us in to see the dental hygienist/doctor quickly after arrival. They’re positive attitudes, cool sunglasses they provide for the children, personal TVs with a variety of movies/shows to watch during their cleaning, and even headphones is a big plus! They even give the kids a special coin to get a prize when they are all done and leaving the building… from start to finish is a good experience and I highly recommend this pediatric dentist to all families seeking highly professional doctors/ hygienists! There aren't enough words to explain how grateful I am for finding this dentist! Lengthy read but well worth it to explain how wonderful this practice it. My newborn daughter had been diagnosed with a partial tongue tie and I had called several pediatric dentists that all sent me on the run around until the smiling turtle answered and told me they could get me in the very next day!! I was shocked. The receptionist replied how they understand how frustrating this can be and want to resolve it as quickly as possible for me! I received a text for new patient paperwork (honestly was one of the easiest formats to deal with just another plus of this place), and the next morning I was greeted at my app by the loveliest of staff. Everyone was beyond friendly and compassionate. The receptionist even went out of her way to help me navigate any issues with insurance. After, I was called back into a small private room and had some info taken on the situation and the staff was nice enough to play a movie while I waited for the Dr (not long at all). Once the Dr arrived she evaluated my daughter with such care it was heartwarming, the dr also showed me how to massage the area after and explained everything i would need to do during the healing process, even gave me advice on her favorite gripe water to use for pain as my daughter is too young for tylenol. From there the procedure was set to be same day and I waited for Dr as they set up the room so I didn't have to bounce around with my daughter either. The procedure went smoothly and again the staff was nothing but kind and caring to both myself and my newborn. Following the procedure the Dr once again performed the massages to my daughter's wound and had another staff member video for me to watch at home and show my husband as well. Then they not only that they allowed me privacy and time in the room for my daughter to latch to me instead of having to use a pacifier or bottle but even allowed me time to feed which I hadn't been able to do in days because of the tongue tie! All around it was such an amazing experience, I highly recommend the smiling turtle for all and any pediatric dentistry needs!
