My absolute favorite Italian restaurant in the area. Since moving here from Brooklyn, NY several years ago, I can say the food is always delicious and the service is super friendly. Cristo's has a quaint little neighborhood feel. My family and I come here a few times a month. The owner is very hands on and is always helping out at the front of the house. They also have a very busy take out business.

With 4.5/5, This place seems to be doing pretty well - It looked absolutely beautiful going in (the music was a bit loud, but ah well.) The host said they were closing soon so they were keeping everyone on one side of the restaurant - this was odd, but understandable, albeit a bit crowded. (an hour before close.) We opened up the menu as usual and got bread, salads, and sodas. I ordered the cheese tortellini carbonara with peas & my other half ordered the penne al a vodka with prosciutto. It sounded absolutely great. It came out and it was piping out - steaming. Awesome, right? Not really. We're both pretty bad about not wanting to say anything about food, but less than 1/2 way through the waitress (who was very nice) came over because she saw us awkwardly picking at our food, and asked if anything was wrong. We told her - There was no flavor and I heard another table say there was no flavor as well - it tasted like water. Both of the dishes tasted almost exactly the same, except a tiny little bit of what tasted like pink sauce on the penne dish. A little bit, otherwise - The food was extremely oily, it was just piling on top of the sauce, the water & oil was separating, and our stomachs were hurting. HURTING. Hurting like when you eat pizza, but minus the bread. It felt like we drank vegetable oil. I ended up filling my diet coke up with carbonara sauce, luckily in an almost empty restaurant. They ended up comping our meal, which was nice, we tipped the server, she did absolutely nothing wrong - I ended up being in the bathroom upchucking a bit more and a few times on the way back from the walk from harris teeter. My boyfriend was sick, but not throwing up, and I'm not going to go into detail on the kind of sick he was. I don't know what happened this night given the ratings, but this was bad. Just make the drive to somewhere else. Order in. If you're not going to do that, take tums, dramamine, miralax with immodium to balance it out, and maybe a fleet. Hopefully that was just a bad day for the cooks, or something. Phew. PS. The star is for the server. The restaurant, nein. Nill. Zero. Update: I guess the owner is also extremely rude. If you run through the reviews, she has a smart comment to anyone that says something she doesn't like. This place touts women-owned, but the woman who owns it has a sour attitude towards other women. I'd love to hear what she really has to say.

First to visit after a soccer game, and was excellent! We were seated very quickly for it being on a Saturday. The service was simply amazing! The appetizer was the perfect size, perfect price, perfect taste! Both pizzas we totally awesome!! It had been forever having a real pizza and well worth the price. I wish we would had ordered one to go!!

Food was delicious. Drinks were on par. I guess it was a new server because our friends highly recommend this place, but service was just... bad. I could note several reasons but won't go in length. I'll give it another try for dine-in because the food really was great. I got stuffed chicken marsala and hubby got fettuccine alfredo (+ chicken, which was clearly requested at time of order, but brought out later after pointing out the miss). Overall 4 stars- with our company to laugh with included in that!

We just enjoyed our scrumptious lunch that we picked up at Cristo’s this afternoon. The chicken Parmesan was delicious! The serving size is great—I’ll have more than one meal to enjoy from my entree! My husband had the sausages and my daughter had the meatballs. We will definitely be back regularly for more!

Quite possibly some of the best Italian food in wake county Best grandmas pizza, chicken parmigiana, and penne rustica! Annie and Todd are both terrific!

I have deleted a previous review. I am a longtime customer and had questioned a change in their pizza sauce. The owner responded and assured me that the original recipe had not changed and was using the same tomatoes. His word is good enough for me! We love dining and lunching at Cristo’s. Delicious food.

Food is good. Server was terrible. Pointed to our table and left 1 menu for 4 people. We had to ask for silverware. Bread came after meals. Multiple times took too long to get wine, even canceled last glass. She never asked how our food was. Fix the service and things are great

Was seated 13 minutes before drink order was taken at 4:45 on a Wednesday. Not another table occupied in the restaurant. Watched them make takeout for a lady who was waiting and not even call her name, just put it quietly on the counter then she had to ask if it was hers. Garlic knots were very over garlic and raw garlic (see pic). Rice balls were decent but the sauce is just plain tomato, no visible or tastable seasoning. Stromboli and calzone were alright, but sort of wet/greasy. I will say it was a great value for the price for dinner, though!

Was recommended to make reservations as a Saturday night is usually very very busy. When we arrived at 730 there were only two other tables and only 1 maybe two more arrived while we were there... We were seated right next to another table (less than 3 feet away- not socially distanced at all) was kinda wondering why as the entire place was pretty empty... menu was online which is fine specials were updated and menu was easy to navigate. My table ordered some drinks (wine and beer) and then came out within a few minutes. We ordered lobster ravioli, blue crab ravioli, salmon dinner—— all of them also came with a handful of shrimp, which was a surprise and kinda over did it. My husband ate his salmon and shrimp but we who ordered the ravioli only ate the ravioli(my lobster ravioli was delicious) but as the shrimp was too much, we took them Togo. Overall it was all good just a few things were “meh that’s weird or out of ordinary” that’s why given only 4 stars. Would go back probably for lunch to try the pizza.

Ordered a Sicilian pizza Togo. Wouldn't stop here again, was visiting a friend in Holly springs and didn't want a chain spot, but wish I would've just got Domino's. Pizza was slim on ingredients, sauce fine, crust below par, cheese fine. If you're going here for pizza maybe try the regular one? Or go somewhere else. Service was great though!

One man show running the place right at open, but he was so kind and attentive. I look forward to returning. Delicious fresh food. Big servings. Two people shared.

I had been really wanting to try this place. We ordered pizza delivery one a day that was raining really heavily. After I placed my order through the app, the restaurant called and said they didn't have a driver. They seemed to have plenty of staff when I got there, but who am I to say how they do things? After all of that, I wasn't a big fan of the pizza. I will give them another chance some day. I'd like to try the dine in Italian food.

This Italian restaurant is one for your books. I was pleasantly surprise that they serve a salad with your dinner, most places stopped doing that. The entrees were huge, I had to ask for a to go box. Anybody who knows me would laugh at that, because that's a first. The outside deck makes this quaint little place, the perfect atmosphere to relax, enjoy your drink and the company you’re with. I’ve been here twice and plan to come back.

A wonderful place to eat, truly a hidden gem! Clean restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food. The salad was crisp and fresh with a wonderful Caesar dressing. The entrees in the photo were great.

Grandma pizza with anchovies was excellent. Sauce was perfect, as was the crust. This is now the go to place for us

Loved it 100% will go back. It is a very cute and nice place. The service was great very kind and helpful. The food is amazing and good portion sizes. The price is not bad for what you are getting. They have lots to choose from. Its a good spot to have a date night or a family night out. They have outside seating as well. Clean bathroom. Lots of parking.

Went in for lunch - not busy at all. Had a couple of slices of pepperoni with a side salad and shared a side of wings. All was fantastic. Pizza is New York style, big slices. Wing sauce was super flavorful and they were cooked well (crunchy outside, juicy on the inside). What a gem in the area. Will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items.

Casual dining environment (paper napkins, the type of music), but the food is the best food I’ve tasted in years, even at upscale fine restaurants. They cook to order, and I think must make everything from scratch. I had their minestrone soup and every vegetable in it tasted fresh, and had been perfectly cooked. My wife loved their special that day, a pumpkin sauce pasta dish, even after she had substituted gluten-free pasta. No gluten-free bread though.

Tried this place out several months ago and was really impressed. This is our new go to place for Italian food. Felt like I was back in NJ . I would recommend this place you will not be disappointed.

The owner was very accommodating to my dietary restrictions, and even went out of his way to offer a customized pasta/veggie dish to me and checked in periodically with my group. My two friends and I all enjoyed our meals, and there was enough for leftovers.

Italian restaurant with pretty good food, not the best Italian restaurant I visited, I'm guessing they are using the same base sauce for a little bit everything. The service is good and the prices are reasonable

Absolutely the best pizza in town! Their sicilian pie is amazing and without a doubt the best in the Raleigh area. If you want real New York tasting and looking pizza come here. Don't go to the place down the road who claims they are "Manhattan Pizza".
