Horrific experience. Stay away at all costs! Upon arrival a family looked at me like I didn’t know what I was in for. They were right! The elevator smelled like pee. It was sticky. My room was full of bed bugs, food rests, blood stains and hairs. The floors in the lobby and all the way up including the room were absolutely nasty. The receptionist was passive aggressive and wouldn’t provide any help when I asked for it, when the guest experience manager Maureen came it was even worse. I was treated like I was crazy for asking for help. Maureen took photos of my bed bug ridden legs and I haven’t heard from the hotel since. If you read the other reviews you can see that they do an « investigation » but the results come out negative. I am waiting for a full refund and have raised this to corporate. They are ignoring even corporate at this time. They should shut this hotel down until they have the budget to fully clean it. Total neglect. The fire alarm went off at 4.30 am and that’s no fault of the people who work there, but it was a total nightmare all around. Truly traumatic. Customer service non existent. I have contacted the manager Brittany several times. Even higher up - Vihar - in charge of this hotel, hasn’t responded. They are hiding a load of bull. Stay away!!!

Within walking distance of restaurants, which was a plus. The staff wasn't the friendliest. Our room had a stale, moldy odor. I can at least say the bed provided was comfortable. We were able to enjoy the pool and spa, but the spa looked a little green. The pool and spa had large chips out of them in multiple spots. You had to watch where you stepped or else you could injure yourself. The hotel definitely needs improvement if they plan to continue to charge that amount per night. They did provide breakfast in the morning, but that wasn't the greatest either. With the pictures provided, just showing the mildew in the shower, and bags left from previous customers and not thrown away by staff.

Flawless check-in and no fuss late check out (1:00). Enjoyed the spacious room with our family of four. Nice big fridge and small microwave were convenient. Water pressure was impressive for a nice hot shower. Grounds were small but pretty with a clean pool and hot tub and a nice view of a large pond. Breakfast did not have a wide selection but seating was plentiful. Would stay there again.

There is no soundproof whatsoever in the rooms. You can everything perfectly from the hallway. Housekeeping rolls around loud carts from 7 am to 10 am and yells in the hallway. I think they were shouting housekeeping as early as 9?? Do not stay on the 1st floor. You can hear every door in the whole hallway open and close. There is literally no quiet time in the hotel. I have stayed at worst hotels that were quieter than this. The front hotel staff were nice during check-in, though. I do not like this brand of hotel.....

Hands down the nicest La Quinta I’ve ever stayed at. The property was beautiful. The breakfast was included and had good options. We arrived at night and it was like a 10 min walk to some places to eat. The grounds were immaculate with a beautiful lake and palm trees. They had a nice terrace you could eat or smoke on outside. We stayed there because we went on a cruise out of Miami. They do offer a shuttle that I found very expensive we did uber for less than half the cost.

Photos are really dressed up online. Actual place is old and dirty. Elevator is super slow. Staff is not super friendly. (Everyone posting that the staff is super friendly but I didn’t experience that) Breakfast is just cereal, toast, boiled eggs But nothing special. Watched the kitchen lady be super rude to a guest this morning when the guest asked her a question. No welcome gifts for diamond members even though I saw the bags. Staff appears put out for any questions. Asked if there was extra body soap housekeeping flat out said no. Asked if there was a manager and told no. No options for reaching out when they do return. Maybe the worst LaQuinta I have stayed in. You do get what you paid for but for what I got I feel that the price should have been half. 😂 Also to note a lot of people asked to check in early, (I was checking out) not sure of their status of membership and they were all told no. Next person came in without checking her status she told she could check in early. (I won’t say what I feel happened here). Plus side large body of water that is peaceful, lots of fowl, baby ducks, etc., large free parking. Probably wouldn’t stay here again unless desperate and broke.

I don’t understand how this place has 4 stars I really don’t. From the very entrance you can see the filth. The elevator smells like pee and had dirt on the walls. The rooms are disgusting. Shower wasn’t even clean enough to shower in the first place. Sink was stopped up so every time we tried to wash our hands the sink would fill up. Sheets had hair and blood on them upon first check. Me and my friend couldn’t even bare it we left. 00000000/10

Room was not as clean as I would have liked and some other issues. We checked in late and thought it would be OK but wasn't. Manager was great refunded us and didn't charge second night. Probably will give it another chance in the future , she noted issue and will work on problem.

For $130 per night and not have a fridge or microwave in the room is something Im not use to. The service was nothing spectacular. The people at the front desk werent extra nice just barely spoke and checked me in. Thats fine. The room was clean, however there was this weird white stain on the sofa. I was hoping it wasnt human bodily fluids but if I seen it Im sure housekeeping did,I stayed away from the sofa. They did allow me a late checkout for free which I appreciated. And I was given a complimentary bottle water from front staff which was also appreciated after my long flight.Bed and pillows were very comfy, I slept like a baby.

Did not get room I reserved; I was less one bed; front desk did not pick up phone when I called to ask why I did not have a double bed as reserved; had to ask if they had a roll out; has to ask about sheets for roll out bed AND roll out bed had coils sticking out of it! Service was awful! Only good thing was the breakfast.

This was a great experience. Really nice hotel, great staff, clean, pet friendly, beautiful grounds, awesome shopping center next door with all kinds of food and restaurants. Highly recommend...

Nice place and a quiet, comfortable stay for one night. The price was a little higher than I normally pay, but seemed comparable to other hotels in the area. Good location near the freeway, with some shopping and dining options around. Very good free breakfast. Definitely would have stayed another night or longer if we had been in the area longer.

I will never stay here again. It was giving indoor motel. The doors were close and the hallways were dingy. It’s only one elevator and it’s super slow. Breakfast was good I guess. The hotel shuttle was nice. We definitely took advantage of that. Aside from tables the floors and stuff were not cleaned while we were there. The room was supposed to be a king. But we have a king at home and it definitely wasn’t that. The location was good. Right by food and stores so we were able eat and stuff not far away. But never again. Ever ever ever.

This place was great! sure, it’s not so close to the beach, but it’s worth going! to anyone who wants to go here, you should! the rooms are okay, but it’s a bit small, but overall it’s amazing! the beds are very comfy and very clean! the service was okay, i wouldn’t say it was the best, but overall it’s good! and the location was amazing! the location wasn’t close to the beach, sure. but it was still a good place! and the pool has a great view of the river across it. so overall. a 5/5! recommend to visit!!

I've stayed at this location several times in the past. Recently, the property changed ownership, as I was told upon arrival. Carpets and a/c units were cleaned during my stay. The breakfast buffet is decent. HOWEVER, the pool area should be open 24 hours. It is only open 9 till dark. When in town, I work overnight and do not have the opportunity to use the pool during the day. When I attempted to enter the pool at 6 am, the gentleman cleaning outside rudely told me the pool opened at 9. I asked the gentleman at the front desk for 'permission' to use it, explaining my work situation, and received the same rude attitude and answer. This might be their policy, however there is NO reason to be unpleasant to any guest in the hotel! This event has definitely put a bad taste in my mouth.

My room had bed bugs, no toilet tissue, broken thermostat and dirty floors and bathroom. I was forced to change rooms while trying to recover from an outpatient surgery to my stomach. The staff was rude once the bed bug complaint was made. The staff damaged hundreds of dollars worth of our property by tossing ALL of our belongings into an industrial dryer trying to save face from the bed bugs ( not just our clothes….everything like expensive perfumes, makeup, toiletries, hair products, body products, purses etc we’re all melted, leaking and damaged along with our clothes, pillows and custom blankets) and has yet to resolve or reimburse us for the stuff. The Asst general manager Ciera is now avoiding my calls and e-mails even though she has acknowledged the bedbugs and damages to our stuff. The general manager has not stepped in to help fix this issue either. There has been no resolution. This was the worst stay Ive ever experienced at a hotel. I will never return as a guest but they will pay for our damaged belongings.

We stayed here for one night and it was great. The location of the hotel is very close to where I needed to go and before I arrived I thought it would be so busy but the hotel is located at a quiet street and it was easy to drive in and out. Service was great, check in was fast and helpful. Room is clean, bigger than normal and it was quiet too. The view was great despite the weather was nasty. Overall it was a great experience.

Very nice and comfortable hotel near the airport and interstate. Check in was great the people are really nice and attentive. The hotel is kind of dated but the location makes up for it. The bathrooms have shutter style doors that don't lock and there's no exhaust fan. The first two mornings the waffle iron wasn't operational and the eggs tasted watery. You can't go wrong with the fruit, bagels and yogurt. There's a lot of ducks, lizard's and cranes on the lake behind. I didn't get a chance to take the shuttle to the airport but was informed of the schedule upon checking out. I also like the fact that the hotel is off of a pull off road that only serves the two hotels.

If I could give "negative stars," I WOULD! First, they canceled our reservation even though they were informed of our late check-in. On top of that, the front desk treated us like we were lying even though we had a new reservation # for our late check-in. The answer from the front desk was (with ATTITUDE) "No one told me." Second, the room keys were constantly being deactivated. Had to go to the front desk 4 times to re-activate them. Answer to that, "the doors are old." Third, rooms get cleaned every 3-4 days. Fourth, customer service is the worst!. You need anything and all you get is attitude. I can understand that you get what you pay for, but we've stayed at cheaper hotels that are 100% better than this facility. The only thing going for this dump is the location. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Throwing caution into the wind! Watch the garbage container in the lobby, sliced my arm open on it. Front Desk staff were not concerned whatsoever but did provide a large bandage. No one bothered to move the container, file the edge smooth or cover it with caution tape....nothing. The hotel itself is tired, but the room we had was clean and spacious. We stayed for a pre-cruise night a group of us. Shuttle from the airport was timely, and the driver was super friendly. They also brought us to Miller's Ale house and back for dinner. Caution - it appears this hotel allows criminals on house arrest to stay here. There was a couple that had ankle bracelets on at breakfast in the morning, both were clearly tweaking and made a mess of everything they touched...it was gross, they caused a ruckus and the front desk staff did nothing about it. Not sure if these were the same people that were slamming doors between 3 and 4am, but no one did anything about that after we called as well. Caution - hot tub disconnect wiring is hanging out of a rotted electrical box, right beside where you activate the hot tub, don't drip water here...also, the handicapped lift chairs are both broken going into the "leaf filled" pool. I would probably pay a little more and stay somewhere a little more reputable next time.

Do not ever leave anything of value here, sentimental or monetary. It has been hell trying to get my things back. I was told at first that my item was not found in the room (Chanel makeup bag worth more than $250 including items inside.) When I asked to speak to manager because I knew for a fact there was no where else it would be, they magically found it. I was relieved, only to be hit with the stress of trying to actually get them to ship it. I bought a label, sent it via email, they claimed to have printed it. The next day I called to verify shipment- they said they never got the label. The day after I call, they find it, and they claimed my item was locked in an office they couldn’t get to but they’d ship it out next day. 2 days pass, tracking not updating. I call back, they play stupid and tell me I must schedule a pickup or they'll send as-is. What does that even mean? Some of my things will be broken or missing? Who knows at this point. I did inform them that if I do not see the tracking start to move, that I’ll be filing a police report for theft, because that’s exactly what’s going on here... Anyone could figure that out.. absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. I have been kind and patient until now, but my patience has worn out. This is not okay. To make it better- I was traveling for a funeral. Thanks for the added stress!

Worst hotel experience ever. When we arrived the sink was clogged and I had to brush my teeth in the tub. We went downstairs to tell them they never fixed it until we were getting ready to leave the next day. The hair dryer came off the wall and sounded like a jet engine and it had no air coming out of it nothing was done until we were getting ready to leave the next day. Very dissatisfied.

  • 1/5 Daniel W. 5 months ago on Google
This place is disgusting. It took hours to get someone to come unclog the sink because apparently they were the same person who takes people to the airport. Lol Then the pull out couch, which was absolutely filthy, had a note under the cushion to not sleep on the couch but to ask for a roll away bed. Of course, the driver/sink unclogger was the same person to bring this as well. Waiting still so I can go to bed.

What a great stay we had here before our cruise. The staff is friendly and the property is very clean. We were able to walk to dinner and to buy beer/wine. We used the airport shuttle with no issues (they provided clear instructions with how to find them). The drivers were A+. Next time we cruise Miami via Fort Lauderdale we'll stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Clean, quiet and a good value. Overall, a very pleasant experience for the short time we needed to stay here. Arrived late in the evening and the airport transfer was easy and quick. Check-in was great. Requested a late check out since we were catching a cruise later in the day. No issues with that. Breakfast was good considering COVID protocols. All in all, very happy and would stay again if needed.

Staff is very friendly & courteous. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Nice outdoor area in back to socialize. Walking distance to some popular restaurants west of the hotel. Hotel offers shuttle to/from FLL Airport, short 20 minutes away. We had an early flight, missed out on the free breakfast they offer. Good hotel for an overnight stay you're in the area. Also pet friendly which is good to know.

The first thing I noticed was the friendliness of the front desk staff. She was so sweet and cheerful and I appreciate that so much! They are pet friendly and I was able to bring my chihuahua. The hotel was clean and kept up with and smelled clean. They had vending machines, free ice and laundry. It was very quiet while sleeping and comfortable.

The hotel was nice over all. The building is old and the elevator is slow. But the room was nice and clean. Great view from our window. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is close to everything. Would stay here again

Receptionist girls always had smiles. The breakfast was suffice. The water was shut/off for a couple hours. Very clean rooms. The elevators take forever to stop at your floor. Exterior/grounds are very well kept and clean. The pool and lounge area serves the purpose.

No complaints here, you know what you're getting when you stay here. We were here for about 12 hours total. Got picked up from the airport and dropped back off the next day. Rooms were clean and quiet and they offered a continental breakfast. Would stay again.

  • 3/5 Madina R. 2 years ago on Google
There are too many people with beer and laud music in the hot tub. The pool was good though. Rooms might use some more cleaning (carpet especially). If you can stay on the 1st floor, just do it because it took a while to get an elevator. Elevator is super slow; on top of that, service personnel use it as well, and it is not fun to ride an elevator along with someone with a bunch of trash bags.

  • 4/5 Carolyn Thibault W. 1 year ago on Google
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff from check-in to housekeeping were wonderful and friendly. Great location and nice view from our room. Only complaint was breakfast…trash overflowing, out of all coffee but decaf, out of fresh fruit and no one around to restock. Having said that, we didn’t plan on having breakfast there, so otherwise we would go back again.

My stay at this hotel from the beginning to the end was great. The shuttle driver Peter was very pleasant, friendly, and helpful. On check in day 9/3/22, there was a young gentleman who was professional, friendly, and caring at the front desk. He made checking in easy, also made sure the shuttle driver picked me up before leaving the airport. The lobby is very clean!! My My room was spotless and cleaned with a smell of bleach. The breakfast options are great including oatmeal, cereal, toast, boiled eggs, sausage, muffins (pre wrapped), fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea, and a fountain of a variety of juices. This area is very clean. The grounds are very cleaned surrounded by a beautiful lake and animals that are part of the scenery. My only request would be to put guests with pets on an only pets floor. Overall, my stay was superb!!

The hotel looks decent from the outside but once you start walking to your room, it has a motel look and feel. The hotel smells dingy and it’s very outdated. The actual rooms could use some work. Our shower head was broken and would spray water in every direction. Our a/c wasn’t working properly and we had a very hot night. I also woke up with some interesting insect bites I didn’t have the day before. The hotel was affordble but there are others a 2 min drive away for a similar price. I would never stay in this hotel again.

Very good, frequent and friendly airport shuttle service, quick check-in, nice location w/ pool which the kids liked especially. The rooms appear very large (I don't know if ours was bigger than others, I had booked a regular double queen) are clean and well maintained. Fridge, microwave, ice machine on the floor - what more do you need?!? I definite recommendation...

Time for new carpet. There is a very musty dirty smell and my eyes itch really badly. It’s not allergies. The carpet feels dingy underneath my feet, like if you walk barefoot on it your feet aren’t clean anymore. It smells very very bad. The bed is nice and soft though, so are the pillows and sheets. Almost gave it 3 stars but the lobby was also dirty along with the hard floors and all trash cans overflowing with trash.

When I began to pick a place to stay for my trip I looked at all the reviews. I found many things that were said bad about this location but those same bad things were posted on the different locations as well. I took a chance and glad I did. I found this location to be a perfect location not far from a lot of things I wanted to see and do. Where the outside did not look kept up the inside was very clean with not bad smells. My room was clean and well maintained. Internet was fine and the service personnel were all great. It was very quiet at night and with the pool view I also had a view of the lake. Breakfast was OK but I miss the Belgium waffles. I highly recommend this location and will be staying there again. Please watch for the bad reviews as they are not all reliable. I hope you find this review helpful in planning your trip.

Great location. Decent prices. However, "hot" breakfast extremely disappointing! Also, room only serviced every 3rd day so need to get your own towels supplies from front desk. Empty your own trash, etc! Pretty view of lake if lucky enough to get one of those rooms.

Easy access from airport and restaurants and shops nearby. Staff was friendly, accommodating and honest. We accidentally left a wallet in our room. We had to have it shipped back to us and it returned with all items still inside! We are breakfast in the morning and bought snacks in the evening. Quick trip but everything we needed!

Stayed here many times pre pandemic and it was always ok. What's going on now? it doesn't even look like the same hotel. They changed the windows and painted the walls outside that's it! Inside it's old and stinky and we didn't feel safe. In the evening there were 3 homeless going around the hotel. Yes homeless! 1 of them was on our floor and when he saw us he ran away taking the elevator and went on second floor. After 10 minutes he was on our floor again, doing what? I dont know. The front desk staff is rude and don't care about homeless going around the property. Really sad this hotel went downhill because it has a nice view over the lake and has a nice pool. Stay away!

I booked La Quinta because I always had good experiences with the chain. I chose this hotel because it was a La Quinta and close to the airport. The staff were friendly and courteous. However, this was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. We stayed three nights. The breakfast was not up to the standard I expect from a La Quinta. On the first night, we had to ask the hotel maintenance to repair the TV. On the second day, there was no hot water, none for the entire next day! I could not take a shower or shave (in February 2023) until the last night before we left. The in-house phone was never working, so I had to physically go to the front desk to inquire about the hot water (or call La Quinta's 800 number with my cell phone). That's when I realized that most of the guest had gone to other hotels with hot water. I had to ask for a discount on my stay. My wife bought a bottle of bleach and paper towels because there was mold under the lip of the bath sink and evidence of unrepaired leak damage in the rear of the toilet. In my opinion, La Quinta should remove its brand from this hotel and rebrand it as a 1 Star budget motel.

I had to check in at 3am due to a cancelled flight. Lindsey was very nice. However, the next morning I had my service dog in the lobby and was screamed at in front of ppl by a staff member who I didn’t understand at first because of the lack of English. I was literally holding my 8 lb service dog in my arms pouring coffee after 2 hours of sleep. Steve the manager and maintenance supervisor was extremely aggressive, combative and abusive. I should never have been spoken to the way he spoke to me. I told him I was going to cancel tonight’s reservation abd he screamed BYE at me. I was so embarrassed, everyone in the lobby was looking at me My room also has a musty smell which I had to get air freshener for. The key card doesn’t work on several entrances causing you to have to walk around the building.
