I don't usually write long (or positive) reviews but I'm going to take some time to do this. First, the guy that runs this place is legit! Google combat jiu jitsu worlds to see him in action; watch him kill everyone else in his weight category with no effort at all. He is a great athlete and his knowledge is unparalleled. He also has that quality of character (I have no word for it) that makes for a great instructor: a mixture of fairness and toughness. For us guys, this place is not a self-defense place (I'll write about girls later). That being said, the crowd here is tougher that what you find in a self defense class. If you learn how to survive in this mat you will be ready for anything life throws at you. But don't be afraid. In the words of Joe Rogan: it's a bunch of nerds :) Just regular people trying to become better people. They also have kickboxing and boxing classes. The guy teaching that is "un chardito" (Cubans will get it) that knows his trade. After a single class with him I dropped like 5 pounds (I literally saw the difference in the mirror). If you take his class, he will get you in good shape and you will also learn how to punch. I should probably mention at this point that I'm a 42 years old computer programmer that spends 40 hours a week sitting, a life long smoker, and that I have no motor skills or athleticism whatsoever. I'm the kind of person that can't juggle two balls. Well, six months into this new thing, I stopped smoking and I'm feeling like a teenager. Seriously, I could not run a block, and now I can. My wife is so grateful... :) Anyways, in this place you will learn how to defend yourself and improve your quality of life. A word for the girls: there is a self defense program for women. The girl teaching this is Jasmine. I'm sure I'm going to see her in the sports news, since she is a very good fighter. She is phenomenal. I fought her once and since I'm a grown up man, you know, I was sure I could handle this 5 foot nothing 100 pounds teenager... I was so wrong. She put me in a triangle and it hurt so bad! So if you are a lady and you want to learn some self defense skills, this girl can definitely teach you how. There is also a fitness program for women. I don't know much about it. But they have a bunch of kettle bells I use from time to time. And it looks like fun. Last but not least, I have to write about Ariel. Great guy and the best instructor, he is an excellent teacher. Ariel is not longer with them. But wherever you see the guy in the latest picture, with the orange shirt, you can be sure you are going to learn jiu jitsu! He is a great black belt and an awesome person, with skills and knowledge. His private classes are worth every penny. He taught me almost everything I know. Five starts to the whole family.

Vagner Rocha Martial Arts is an incredible facility with a an amazing professional staff to help you learn the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. My whole family attends this gym and soon my nephew will as well. This is truly a family when you join. Great care is taking to protect each member with extreme guidelines on cleanliness and the gym is immaculate. Great place to learn Jiu-Jitsu from one of the best to ever do it. High recommend this gym to beginners and pros alike. Great gym

Great place to train. Some of the best talented kids and coaches in the country. Audreys game has improved 10 fold over the past year. Special thanks to Jasmine Rocha for working with Audrey in private sessions after coming back from an injury. Jasmine was a big help in bringing Audreys game to where it is today. Highly recommend this Academy for kids and adults. Thank you Rocha family, Billy, Adrian, and the rest of the coaches that make it all possible.

Very nice, i came here specially to train under Vagner, a great fighter and trainer, the level is very good. Vagner is teaching the kid class with other students, I never see a kid class with some goods teachers.

I dropped in for a Thursday evening class while on vacation, and it was a very welcoming and friendly environment. Everyone came up to me and introduced themselves and shook my hand, Vagner himself was super welcoming too. The level of instruction is very professional, some serious experience in the room; and (parents: pay attention) there were 3 black belts teaching the kids class (something I have never seen in 10 years of training.) There was a good mix of beginner through expert level people training and I had some great rounds. Great experience, will be back. If I lived in South Florida, this is where I would train.

Amazing and loving coaches. While leading by example the Rocha family of JiuJitsu world champions had shaped my 6 year old already on a path of successful competitions. Thanks so much for the fantastic job.

We enrolled our almost 4yo little girl here after her first free trial session. I fell in love immediately! The coaches are so patient and kind. I am so thrilled to have her going here. It is a little pricey but if you think about all the benefits that come from your kid being a part of this it's priceless. Not only do they teach self defense, the self discipline and respect that one gathers is immeasurable. I wish I was in it when I was young. I will be part of the grown up classes as well one day soon. I firmly believe it would have saved me so much heartache and pain. Anyway! My little one goes here and I can't be happier with the place and all who are in it. Thank you VRMA!

Spent a week training here with Vagner and his guys. I am a black belt from Canada and I have been in gyms all over the world. I always knew Vagner as a world class competitor and coach, but he’s also a world class man and helped me tons while I was in town. Thanks! Clean gym, great instruction, welcoming.

Dropped in. $45 and you got a rash guard to keep. Solid deal compared to many places. It was a comp class, taught by Vagner. The training was high-level, and rolls afterward were hard but technical and not needlessly rough. Atmosphere was focused and respectful. It was great.

It's a very clean, nice environment. They're we tons of training staff in hand with the kids at all times. It was a fun atmosphere and everyone was very kind.

This place is just amazing to train and learn from the best! Everyone is very kind and just like your coaches, your teammates will always help you and encourage you to improve!

Our 8 y/o daughter has been training at VRMA for about a year. Prior to coming to VRMA, she had been training elsewhere for about 2.5 years. Her goals were to participate in big Jiu jitsu competitions one day. She loves Jiu jitsu and is always eager to train and learn more. We were recommended by a good friend of ours to check out VRMA and so we did. We immediately fell in love with their style of training and signed our daughter up for classes. Her Jiu jitsu has tremendously improved with the guidance of her great coaches and teammates. She is always being challenged and motivated to do her best. We cannot say enough great things about VRMA. The entire staff truly invests their time in the kids’ program and ensures the kids are focused and doing moves correctly. Since starting at VRMA she has won gold at a JJWL event and silver at an ADCC event. If your child has the motivation and works hard, they too will see tremendous changes and results in their Jiu jitsu by training at VRMA. Trust the process and the coaching!! We love VRMA and are excited to continue our daughter’s Jiu jitsu journey with them!

I can’t say enough good things about this gym or the family that owns it. It’s hard as parents to find somewhere and someone who you trust with your kids and this is the place! Our 9 year old son started his jiu jitsu journey somewhere else and we were lucky enough to find this place about a year and a half ago! The advancement he’s made since coming here is amazing, the training is top of the line, the coaches go above and beyond for your kid and it feels like you are apart of a family! Also it’s the cleanest facility I’ve ever seen hands down!

Brought my son down for a week of training with Coach Billy and the crew before Pan Kids. Awesome instruction. Coach Billy is one of the best in the business.

My family were visiting Florida and decided to do a drop in training at this gym. Coach Billy and the competition kids were very welcoming.

Staff is very friendly and welcoming, facility is clean and well lit and many options for all ages. Brought my 3yr old in for a trial class and everyone was very accommodating. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get into martial arts.

Some of the best jujitsu training you will EVER get. Not only great training, but great environment as well. Everyone is very helpful and focused on growing and helping others do the same. I highly recommend checking it out.

I think is one of the best JIUJITSU Gym in South Florida. High Level, Excellent Coaches and good environment. My daughter has learned a lot in a short time. 100 % Recommended!

First of all my family and I have never been to this gym. I'm just a father of 2 boys that are very active in the competition scene in our area. We are from central Florida, my two sons routinely wins or at least place in all the tournaments they enter. Whenever the kids from this gym shows up at any of our local tournaments. They totally dominate the competition. They beat the best kids from our area that never loses, and they make it look easy. I don't know what they are doing here at this gym, but apparently its working. My 2 sons are at the top of their class. They are getting bored because of no competition. When summer comes I'm definitely going to come down here for a couple of weeks to visit. My friend from another gym said he took his kids here to visit. He said it was an eye opening experience.
