Visited for a quick walk while driving up north from London. It is such a beautiful setting, we followed the well trodden paths to the tree cathedral which is lovely. It was great to see many children out flying kites. We would absolutely return here again for a full day visit.

Beautiful scenic place with pawed path around. Fully wheelchair accessible path and stable grass. Very nice visitor centre with food and accessible toilets. Picnic benches with spaces for wheelchairs. Windy most days, ideal for kite flying. Enjoy watching gliders and para gliders when they are active. Unless warm day, have jackets to avoid wind chill.

Great views from the top of the ridge and a good place to fly a kite. I started from the visitor center car park heading right. There are a few other parking spots along the top of the trail. Views from the top of ridge are spectacular. The route is sign posted and paved until near the burial mounds. The circular walk also taking in the nearby tree cathedral too about 2 hours at a leisurely pace.

This is an outstanding place for a walk and to take pictures. There are wonderful views and plenty of parking (£3.5/day) spaces nearby. During the summer, you will have ice cream vans parked out here as well. I haven't been in the visitors center but it looks well equipped and it has facilities.

There's a large visitor centre which includes a shop and cafe. The shop has a great range of gits and souvenirs. The cafe has a good range of food and drinks. It can get very busy at peak times and service can be slightly slower. There are 3 carparks to chose from but they are not all open in the winter. There's lot's of lovely walks to do from here as well as being brilliant for kite flying!

Went kite flying with the kids (or kite retrieving as it was at one point!), always a perfect place for a picnic, scenic views and an open space, something to do for everyone! Also looks just as good at night time (just try to avoid looking in other cars in case of doggers)

This unpublished gem is a real beauty right on a doorstep, best time to visit is sunset or sun rise, but the beavers best view I have seen is when it was completely frozen with mist down below. Love it.

Fabulous 👌 place. The scenery is exquisite and a National trust site. You can park for £3.50 a day enabling you to wander all day across the area. There's provision for disabled people including designated parking. The paths are wheelchair friendly. The gliders also provide a stunning backdrop to the place. The shop and eatery is good enough for light snacks.

The views and local walks make this a great place to stop to break up a journey. There is ample parking and a decent NT cafe with plenty of seating inside and out. The shop sells kites, and by the looks of it was doing a good trade on the day we visited with a decent wind and sunny skies making for perfect flying conditions.

A special place for a visit, high up with a view for miles. Chill out, go for a walk, or fly a kite and watch the paragliding and gliders soar above you. Good place to stop for lunch, too, with a very good NT cafe.

Such a beautiful place to visit, with breath taking views for miles around. Dog friendly, with pathways across the main section if weather inclement. There is a national trust visitor centre where u can enjoy a cuppa although as per usual it can be a little pricey.

Good options for parking; rates are reasonable. Good shop / cafe / visitor centre; lots of fresh air; great walks and you can fly kites, ir watch the gliders take off from the nearby club grounds.

Excellent place to walk or have picnic. National trust cafe has some great cakes and yummy freshly baked scones. Also very good place to view gliders take off and land.

Limited parking so arrive early and have good breaks on the car. Free for national trust members but otherwise a reasonable able £3.50 for the day. There are paths for buggies and less able people. Also has a cafe with toilets. Great for a quiet picnic, if you want to follow the path down be sure to wear suitable footwear. Very dog friendly on or off the lead.

Beautiful place, definitely worth a visit. It was a pretty cloudy day but enjoyed a walk anyway!

The view is vast and stunning, the wind feels as if you can be swept off your feet! Great place for the dogs to run and play. A wait in the cafe but it was a Saturday late morning.

Beautiful calm place to wind down and relax. Popular place for kite flying. Gliding school close by, so just keep watching them all day long.

Stunning view! Sheep, kites, aeroplanes, birds, what more can you ask for? Parking is easy there. Also, there is a cafe where you can buy coffee and use the toilet.

Lovely spot, open spacious area for kite flying with amazing views and a nearby access to wild paths to see wildlife. There is a café and tourist shop at the top by a nicely looked after carpark as well.

Very windy, but a great view from both outside and inside the national trust shop/cafe. Indoor and outdoor seating, out door mini kids football, and target game. Outdoor table tennis. Bring a kite! ... And something to keep warm. Parking in car park is £3.50 all day. Using national trust membership it's free. It's a 'PaybyPhone' machine, no cash or card. Although heard you can pay in the shop(?)
