Don’t take your pets to this place if your pet has a serious illness. My both dogs died because they treated them for wrong disease with wrong antibiotics. A simple skin rash evolved to sever blood infection while the dog was taking his antibiotics. The doctors are inept of diagnosing the issue. They ask us what’s wrong with our dog and treat according to what we say rather than conducting a thorough examination. If we know what’s wrong with our pets, why would we take them to an extremely expensive place like that? They don’t love pets, only interested in money.

This clinic only cares about money. They don’t mention the treatments or injections they are giving to the animal on the animal passport. That data is only available on their computers so we can’t go to another vet. I went to them with my 9 year old dog with severe condition and we have to go for several days for treatments each day the dog was checked by a different doctor and we have to explain her condition all over. After getting treatments from them for like two weeks there weren’t any positive changes with my dog only the bill got expensive day by day.Glad I found another vet in the area which my dog got better in few days after his treatments. I don’t care about the money if animal get well but that don’t happen in this clinic. Doesn’t recommend this clinic to anyone!

"Have a quick look, recommend something & get it done with" is their method of treatment!! Never expect individual attention or sensitivity to your pet from the veterinarians here; the support staff is way more caring & kinder than the veterinarians. This place is not recommended for cases that require continuous treatment with follow up!

I could have saved my cat, Sylvester, if the veterinarians here had decided to run Chronic Kidney Disease tests months ago when he first started to show symptoms, not just one week before he passed away. Sylvester was a regular patient of this pet hospital, visiting at least twice a month since last November due to his fur thinning and abnormal water drinking and peeing issues. They always gave him a vitamin injection and asked us to take him home. As ordinary people with no medical knowledge, we take our pet to a pet hospital hoping they know what they're doing. Only in the last week did they decide to run a Creatinine test, and by then, it was tragically too late to cure him (Stage 4 CKD). My mom had suggested getting a T4 test earlier, but they dismissed it, claiming that cats don't usually have T4 problems. Even after his T4 results turned out to be low, they didn't start treatment until we mentioned it during his last few treatments, which involved intravenous therapy twice a day for five days. (Edit 1) : Based on what information do you tell we haven't brought him to your hospital since February? We brought him even in the first week of August. The second time we brought him in August (August 13th) you finally decided to run some tests on Sylvester). Check your registers before you tell me my "accusations" are misleading.

Unprofessional doctors. They want only money taking unwanted test and giving medicines. Please don't go to this place. Even yesterday one of dog die because of their careless. Didn't treat as soon as that pet came to hospital. Even staff dont know whether doctor is coming or not to hospital. Please don't go to this hospital. I am recommending to take our pets to this place. Very risky. Since they go after money.

What's good about this place: They have the facilities to do investigations such as ultrasound, x-ray, endoscopy etc. What's bad about this place: Extremely money-oriented. You can expect to pay a hefty price regardless of the condition your pet has. They do not attempt to reach a diagnosis with relevant investigations. They order unnecessary investigations and even then they don't reach a diagnosis. Their approach is to give pretty much the same treatment (IV saline, IV antibiotics) to all the pets without a proper diagnosis and hope for the best. This is common among veterinarians in Sri lanka but you don't need to come here and pay a hefty price for the same thing. The waiting time is always very long. There are many assistants/ nurses around but they will not attend to your pet even if they're free. They do not mention the diagnosis (they don't have a diagnosis to begin with) and the treatment given on the pet passport and nor do they tell you what they treated the pet with and for what. It's only in their own online system. So if you take the pet to another place, they have to start from scratch.

They are only focus on tests and money, not the animal. The doctors are not clever and experienced enough to identity deceases and illness. I brought my dog two weeks there. They only did tests and asked for huge money. But illness not identified and now my dog in fight of life and death. Three doctors are examined but they are not identified the dog is heading to Critical illness. Dont bring your loving pet there, they only take your money, but illness not cured.

A cheap place running only after money. There are no permanent doctors available here because they hire freshers (who can’t even diagnose a disease properly) and they move out quickly. Due to this there’s no guarantee about the reliability of the treatments. Their trick is asking to do this test and that so their money flow keeps coming. The support staff is big headed because they’re the one who run this place this not the qualified doctors. Pet owners around Athurugiriya avoid this place knowing these facts.

They are just considering about the money instead of saving pet. So many people have faced on bad experience there. Not recommended at all

It's best in around. Best staff. All of them are very kind on all type of dogs. Mine was not branded one just a stray dog which has a severely wounded. They taken care of him the same level of kindness. Really appreciate the effort they are giving on animals. I have seen even birds and mice too. So I guess any kind of animal can be treated in here. Hats off guys!

This was a good hospital earlier, but now they are too money minded. Doesn't explain the pet's condition clearly. One of the Cats we had died after their treatment and then we found a better clinic which is much cheaper and also providing better service.

My pet dog died few hours after i took him to this place, idk its their fault or not. But they gave like 5 injections and saline. Maybe they were too much for that old dog. I am just sad about it. So i feel like i never go to that place again. But they have good services for pets. if your pet has serious illness, just think about your his or her condition before you took them to this place. It seems like they are not capable enough to treat for serious conditions.

Extremely slow and poor service. They didn’t check on any of the pets who comes in, all they do is ignore until the pets are out of control. Hope they will correct this in future and provide a fast and caring services towards the pets and the owners.

Dr Sugath is well experienced doctor and they have a fully operational hospital with laboratory facility. They were so good at the beginning and Dr. Sugath was so kind and friendly with animals. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this to anyone as Dr Sugath got busy with other things and now their main intention is to get more money out of your pocket.

Took good care of my cat. Now he's healthy and back with action. A wonderful and friendly place.

Its an Animal hospital, where they kinda have all the facilities you might need for your pet. Doctors are very kind and helpfull. They kinda have everything that you need for your pet.

Dr. Dulshan did a spot on diagnosis on a puppy where many vets failed or just nodded off. Thanks to him the puppy is recovering well.

They take care of your pet as the best they can. Specially the kottawa branch is giving the best they can. Highly recommend to everyone. However Athurugiriya boarding facility needs an improvement and please take the pets out side once or twice during a day. Cages are not large enough for larger breeds and floor boards need to be available not steel nets.

Excellent staff; was very gentle while prepping my sick dog for his Eco and ultrasound. Dr. Sugath did a thorough job with each scan and was very knowledgeable and patient while explaining the results and condition of our dog. Five stars for cleanliness. A good place to find a variety of pet toys, treats, shampoo & supplies.

Horrible service very unprofessional and disappointing. While I was there they brought out a Bull Mastiff who was been operated around the eyes. They haven't even cleared his wounds after the operation the dog was still bleeding from the eye area. That's not how you finish an operation and bring the animal out of the theatre. My dog was taken in for castration and he now it is swelling around the cut. Wont be visiting again.

One of the best places for pet care in Athurugiriya region. Kind doctors. Facilities are good. Assistant boys are somedays lazy and doctors have to knock them to work otherwise watching TV and phone. But they are also nice to pets.

I had a GSD and suddenly he got paralyzed at his back. unfortunately we couldnt take him to our Family vet bcz my parents were also sick at that time and he was too heavy for me to handle. So i called City pet Athurugiriya and one of the doctors visited and gave some vaccines and said that he was having a prostate issue. They carried out a lot of tests and charged a big sum for the treatments. 2nd day my dog got worse and they came again and gave more treatments and charged again. Unfortunately by the 3rd day he got paralyzed up to his head and was lifeless. We were calling the doctor many times but he never answered the phone nor came. Sadly we had to call another doctor and put him to sleep bcz he was suffering so much. Up to now our dogs records and his book is with that doctor. I wouldnt recommend this place at all.

We expected a mobile service to attend an emergency but only was asked to bring my pet to hospital. After he died said it must have lacked O2. We are so sorry and heartbroken. They didnt identify the illness properly and no communication between doctors.He went for a cough and ended up getting tick.fever in few weeks which was said the reason.for loss of red blood cells. We were ready to spend for a blood transfusion but it was not done.On the third occation only asked to.bring if he stated to.lose appetite . Willy having had a very good blood report when he was first treated was not taken.a second report on the second visit few days before , he was treated for some other. Only another FBC was done on the third occation when situation got worse.All this took.place from 22/08/2020 to 08/10/2020, When we requested the doctors for the mobile service.If just told us that teatment at least O2 couldnt be given by the mobile service ,even how hard the situation would have taken him to the hospital.For them he may was just a dog but for us he was family. We were planning to spend any amount even.for an.Oxygen machine if needed. We requested for the mobile service only on the third occation.but when they said that they had a mobile service we expected more.If you cant treat a pet for even a small emergency or give first aid , why do you keep a mobile service? to see the pet is sick.or not? At least should have communicated to.us according to the sickiness he had. We even got confirmed that he could be treated by the mobile service after requesting it before rushing to the hospital when waiting the mobile service to arrive. He came looked and said to bring to the hospital and sent the ambulance. It was too late when the ambulance arrived. Dont let your pet ever get treated by different doctors here, no one is there to take the responsibility or for you to.talk.to ......attention and care should be given to the pet induvidually and in an emergency could be able to contact the doctor who treated him. Now this has become a business than a service..

Day care for pets and hospitalizations facilities are also available..Most of the Surgeries are done here and are performed by talented doctors.Doctors who work here are so friendly and kind.All investigations are preformed including ultrasound and xray and blood work. .Charges are relatively good.
