Managed by waters edge hotel this I'd a great restaurant and coffee shop. The food is great and the service is polite and proffesional. There is a great atmosphere overlooking the lake. The restaurant is not air conditioned and can be a bit warm during day time. The prices are towards the high range. But the quality of food is great.

Our always go to place for a long time. Good is delicious as always. They maintain their quality the same. No service charges and reasonable prices. Service is very good and Kaushalaya gave us excellent service every time. The security guard was also very helpful and could not remember his name. Always love the vibe in this restaurant at night.♥️✨

Nice view and very friendly service. Cakes are delicious and bakery items are good. Cheese cakes you must try! However the prices of food are high compared to the portion size offered. Available portions are normally enough for one person only. View is extra ordinary even though it is located in an urban environment. Very relaxing environment with an isolated view. Recommended!

Calm and soothing environment amidst the busy roads. Evening would be the best time to go here. Food was okay but not the best! Reasonable prices but the portion sizes are relatively small. Kebabs were delicious but Nasi rice was a bit off taste. Friendly and polite staff. Quick service. Parking is available.

Sorrounded by the lake with a beautiful view of both the busy junction of the Japan - Sri Lanka friendship road along with the peaceful scenery of nature right opposite. We ordered the following dishes One Roast Paan with black curry pork 8 out of 10 One Club sandwhich special 8 out of 10 One chocolate Fudge cake slice 9 out of 10 One chocolate muffin 9 out of 10 One Creamy chicken & mushroom bun 8 out of 10 One bottle of water And spent a total of Rs.2,200 I'd say completely worth it and will definitely going back to try their dinner menu. They close at 9 and the last orders at 8.45 pm. Service speed can be improved, but with the current situation it's perfectly fine. Portion size also was amazing only reason for missing a 10 out of 10 was because it didn't come with fries. But still for the price it was worth it.

Food is delicious and the atmosphere is amazing. They even provided umbrellas to and from the parking. Very friendly staff and specially Mr. Chanaka was really helpful and kudos to his acting until the very last moment of the surprise. He did a great job. Located near the Parliament one of the great places to dine in. The atmosphere is super cool. surrounded by the beautiful lake, the view is great at the night. They serve bakery, savory, and meals. Great mouthwatering food for a reasonable value. Very friendly staff. Better go in the evening and sit outside. Especially from the side. The washroom is clean and hygienic. Difficult to find the car park but manageable. Highly recommended place for a family/friend to dine out.

The restaurant atmosphere is absolutely stunning, and I would definitely recommend it for a relaxed meal with friends and family. The view is great.Waiter we had was extremely nice, friendly, and very well spoken. We tried salad with chicken, hot butter cuttlefish, and roast bread with omelet they were delicious and reasonable prices . Highly recommended

Few months ago we went to Bakery at the lake to see if it’s possible to arrange a function at the location. This was for our very minimalist wedding. From the moment the inquiry was made, the staff was super friendly and flexible in meeting our requirements. Hats off to managers Udaya and Harsha and their amazing staff for the service given during the day and for the delightful food by the chef’s team. Made the guests and us so happy with the location, food and amazing service. We absolutely enjoyed the day with no hassle.

Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte is the location of the restaurant. The best time to go would be in the evening. You can enjoy the peaceful breeze from the lake as well as the beautiful scenery. It is constructed in the middle of a lake. The food is delicious, and the service is excellent. It's a great spot for a few photos with your friends and family. Here you can spend some quality time.

Prices are reasonable and a portion is enough for two people. Staff is very attentive and friendly. Difficult to find a parking space sometimes.

Nice and cozy place to feel the breeze of Diyawanna lake while having a snack. Food is delicious and they have a limited range of beverages and desserts. Managed by Waters Edge and some of their cakes and other products are also available for dine in and take away as well. Service is fast and there is room for improvement in quality of service. Parking is available along the main road and the walking along the steel bridge is a nice experience for little ones. Prices are reasonable. The outside dining is little bit hot in the sunny days even though the place is surrounded by the lake. Compared to the other joints in the area, this is a better place to hangout with a small group.

Went there around 6pm. The place is not that crowded at that moment. But the food items are bit limited at that time. I have ordered fruit danish and a latte which were fresh, rich in flavor and very tasty. Atmosphere is very nice around 5pm-6pm with the sun set. If you are going there by a private vehicle, you have to park your car along the street near kimbulawala walkway. But there are limited slots at there. So sometimes parking will be problematic.

Just a perfect location for a restaurant in the middle of a crowded city. It is surrounded by a lake (as I think it is “Diyawannaoya”). There was reasonable space to park the vehicle and a security officer was there to help. Place was really eye catching. Seating arrangements were perfect and comfortable. They have managed to keep the place very clean. Staff was polite and helpful. According to my point of view price of the items are reasonable with respect to the beautiful atmosphere they have created, taste of the food and the service they provide. Continue the good work. Bakery at the lake one of the finest places in colombo which is surrounded by a lovely environment. Sitting in any table you have a wonderful view of the paddy field and a jogging track. The menu offers a wide variety of mouth-watering starters. Me and my girlfriend used to visit this place many times. All the products were fresh and the dishes had the warmth of home-made food. Specially the spaghetti cabonara was so tasty. The chefs takes great care in selecting the best quality ingredients. We had a really great experience at bakery at the lake. And i would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good place to dine.

We had some snacks there and it was good. Calm and serene surroundings. Great customer service by Gihan. He told us some pretty amazing jokes about the crocs. We had a good laugh!

Bakery at the Lake is a bakery which is located in Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte. It is located amidst a lake in a scenic setting giving the place a very unique vibe. Bakery at the Lake is also the first and only eatery in Sri Lanka that features an Oxygen Bar which sells oxygen for recreational use. The food and service at the eatery are of good quality. And if you are wish to visit here perfect time would be after 4:30 pm cause it's outside restaurant . They have fresh smoothies, yummy cookies , cakes and also they serves noodles and some styled rices also. I recommend here as a photo friendly place. :)

The place is clean and really beautiful. The surrounding scenery is pretty great too. Its very breezy as well. Perfect for an outing with family or friends. They give the option to go through the menu by ourselves using the QR code or else they will give us the menu. The food portion is average but tasty and worth for the price. Prices are on an average level. Customer service is good but can be better but this can depend since we went at a pretty busy time. Would recommend this place for anyone.

Food, service and atmosphere can be rated 10/10 . A pleasant atmosphere with lighting, music and calm wind, ideal for a sunset. Food has reasonable portions and is served attractively. Quality is great. Service is something special compared to many other restaurants I've been. The prices are mentioned in the menu excluding any tax. Thought the taxes added to the bill were too much as it was more than 25% of the cost of food we bought. (Without the tax, it was more than worth the money spent on food , cz a meal costs around 1000 and desserts around 500 approximately. Worth the money even with the addition of taxes )

Satisfying the long awaited curiosity, we recently visited here and it turned out to be an exceptionally pleasant experience. The cuisine was delectable, the ambiance was delightful, and overall, it was a high-quality time spent. It would be remiss of me not to specifically acknowledge the pleasant demeanor of Kawshalya, the steward who welcomed us. He graciously showed us to our seating, patiently assisted with our orders, offering suggestions for unfamiliar dishes and served us with utmost gentleness throughout the entire duration. Food was good. Staff was supportive and friendly. Since there was no fans or A/C and it was day, it was so hot and we were sweating all the time. Maybe it's nice at night. So our total was around 5800/= for 4 people and with the additional charges added the bill was 7600/=. Overall experience was (5/10)

A good atmosphere. Cakes, Sandwiches and Pastas are worth trying. It's main attraction is the location situated in the centre of the lake.. A cool surrounding view, best time to visit is the evenings. Good service too.

Reasonable price but portions are somewhat small. Nice view and ambiance. But one thing I have noticed in every dish is, there is no salt at all. Don’t buy the lime juice here. Parking space available in the walking path and there is separate area in other side of the road. They took a long time to serve the dishes.
