This Homer Glen location is probably the best one I’ve ever been to. The buffet was excellent.. there was so many different protein options and combinations. Fresh hot food. My kids absolutely loved it.

Disappointed this time. I ordered the Pancho Villa dinner for delivery, and it didn't have any flavor. It was supposed to come with avacado slices, lime and pico, but all I got was steak and onions. The meat was tender, just didn't have any flavor. For $25 it should come with everything listed in the description on the menu.

We loved this pepes, but the food changed and is terrible! They used tamale ground beef for my enchilada and it was too hot. We both became sick, but only my husband had to vomit several times during the night. Ambiance is pretty. Sad . What happened? Called to tell them and they didn't seem to care. We will now have to visit lamex in joliet and drive farther.

Horrible food! I ordered a burrito bowl that came on a platter. Steak was tuff and grizzly. Black beans floating in the fluid. Service was horrible. Wife had a taco salad that was the same ingredients and that was bad also. This is two times in a row with bad quality food. Never going back.

We ordered food and upon arrival I was told the order was just placed and not ready. I showed them the call on my phone which was 30 mins prior to my arrival time and they said we will make it right away. After standing their for 25 mins, the girl looks at the 2 bags that were sitting in the back the whole time I was standing there and says “ oh these are your order”. I said those 2 bags were there the whole time since I walked in the door and are probably cold now. I asked for the manager ( a young female) and explained to her that the order was sitting there the whole time I stood and waited 25 mins after ordering 30 mins prior to that and is probably cold, her reply was “ I will give you chips and salsa for free” and I explained to her again, I’ve been standing here with my 5 year old waiting for a Oder placed nearly an hour ago and the food is probably cold now and she replied “ you don’t want the chips and salsa, then have a good day” very rude for someone who just inconvenienced myself and 4 other family members waiting for our dinner.

The food was horrible. Steak fajita meat tasted old and smelt like old meat that was overcooked to prevent food born illness. We were asked what we wanted to order the minute we sat down before getting a chance to look at a menu. Requested a little time and didn't see a server again for almost 20 minutes. Three people ordered the same thing , but when the food arrived, only one order came out. The person delivering thought they were all sharing one order, leading us to believe they put in only one even after reading back to us three. Then, it took 20 minutes to get the other two that came out horribly prepared. Then they messed up the charges on the bill. The drink special was 3 dollars more than advertised. The place was horribly kept up with moldy ceiling tiles that were almost falling down due to excess moisture. Don't look up in the dining room if you are bothered by unsanitary conditions. Second time visiting with similar results. Never going back.

The food is not as good as it used to be. "Extras" such as tomatoes, sour cream, mild/hot sauce and napkins are either smaller, not readily available or come with a charge. The food was a bit bland and very average - on par with Taco Bell these days.

There is no Pepe's restaurant that even comes close to matching this one in food quality and service for miles around. I love their luncheon specials. Enjoy many items, on a slightly smaller scale, although still large enough to satisfy your appetite. I've been there many times and never left hungry. They also have great Margarita's. Yummy, for sure! Check this place out, I guarantee you will be surprised and satisfied. This is not your 'run of the mill' Pepe's. Enjoy! staff seated us, brought us our drinks but apart from that, they didn’t attend us. the whole staff looked at us and looked away. didn’t even try to ask if we were ready. was there for more than 30 minutes and no service. do not recommend if you are hispanic. (the irony)

I always enjoy the food but I feel they clean up too early to close and we feel rushed. Like an hour before closing.

We went to Pepe's Homer Glen Friday night for my GF's bday. We spent over $500... One of the worst meals I've ever had.... FIRST, THERE'S NOTHING TACO ABOUT THE SHRIMP TACOS... NO SEASONING, NO NOTHING.... ORDERED FLOUR TORTILLAS, GOT CORN.... MY gf ORDER HER VEGAN TACOS WITH NO CHESE, CUZ... WELL... SHE'S ALLERGIC TO DAIRY... CAME WITH CHEESE ON HER TACOS AND HER REFRIEED BEANS..... WE WILL NEVER GO BACK HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

This Pepe's is good if you're dining in, but the quality really goes down when you order take out. Every time we have picked up or gotten delivery, our food has either been inaccurate, stale, or cold (not cold from sitting either, cold like out of the refrigerator).

We went early, it was quiet, server was okay. Food wasn't as good as it used to be. I moved out of state & was back home to visit.

We got there about 2:30 it was for my birthday and there was 7 of us. We got the buffet and the only item that was hot was the refried beans everything else was either cold or just about empty. You would think they would have checked to see that all items were there and nice and hot. Had to stop someone to refill our water glasses. We would have gotten soda but not for $5.00

Service was bad. Server never came back to see how food was or if we needed anything. Had a bone in my chicken enchilads. Sorry pepes but will be taking a pass going forward

Drive 30 min to pick up dinner, steak was raw, they told me there is nothing they can do, eat there every weekend! Never again!!! Horrible service

The waiter was excellent, the food was ok. 3 burritos is much better, more like real Mexican food.

Bartender is worthless. First rule as a server is tell patrons specials. Went on Thursday when margaritas were 4.99. ordered 2 margaritas and bill was $30. Yes, my mistake for not asking for special but totally bartender a hole not saying there was a special. This place is a zero because of staff.

It's alright. It's mediocre. Service is pretty good. Margs are good. $12 for chips and salsa for carryout is Highway robbery.

My Mom and I stopped in for a quick lunch and we informed the waiter that we were in a hurry. The service was rapid and attentive, and the food was phenomenal.

Wife arrived for pickup 15 minutes after the pickup time. They didn't have food ready and then kept giving her really bad expectations about how its coming soon without actually checking. Eventually, they asked what her order was and then looked around and it seems like they didn't have it. It took a little over 30 minutes to get the food and she was holding a one year old the whole time. To be fair, staff did check in on her once in awhile with surface level care. Finally ready to check out, they mentioned a discount, put it on the receipt, but when we paid cash, they took the full amount.. When she got back, an entree was missing and we noticed they didn't take our order accurately, so the other entree was missing the meat. When I called, both times it was picked up and immediately hung up. Overall, they missed items during ordering process, were almost an hour late on filling the order, were horrible with customer experience in a bad situation, missed items that we paid for, took money that can't be accounted for, and gave us no way to reconcile it, so I'm posting here. We don't blame the staff entirely. It was chaos in there. - Matt

This location serves everything on the dry side. The rice was dry, the torillias were dry the chicken in the enchiladas was dry. Go to the Tinley Park location much better...

I order from this Pepes pretty regularly and have always ordered online to ensure my special instructions are on. Easy stuff too, like "no pico" or "corn tortillas plz." Today was my final straw with ordering from here and being quiet about the mess ups. This location can continually mess up our order or like my most recent send me someone else's order. When you call the store you tend to be on hold forever if ever answered. If you are looking for good Mexican food and service that won't make you feel like a piece or garbage, do NOT go here.

I am a regular patron of this restaurant. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive. The food is always hot fresh and tasty. The owner is always there and sometimes even delivers food to your table. A real hands on kind of guy I'd recommend anything on the menu but my favorites are the steak fajitas and the stuffed taco dinner The Pina Colada is my favorite drink. They are the best around but, uf you like margaritas, go on Wednesday, it's half price margarita day.

Waitress was nice. However, salsa was like ketchup. Ordered tacos, taquitos, and tamales. Tacos absolutely covered in cilantro and very dry. Barely tasted anything. Taquitos tasted like store bought microwaveable after school snacks. Tamales were very disappointing. Chicken was somehow gritty, entire meal was just just sloppy.

Delicious food and very polite service. The buffet was fabulous with a wide array of choices.

The food quality has always been good. Their level of awareness however, can be frustrating. Frequent inaccurate orders and hours displayed are always incorrect.

Great food, decent prices. Fajitas are significantly overpriced, but everything else is pretty comparable to most places. Food was great, service was great and friendly staff. Would definitely come back.

Amazing food, Amazing service. I had a taste for Pepes and I tried a different location a week prior which was horrible. I wanted to find another location and this location hit the spot. Omar was my server and he was very polite and very nice. I wish I was asked if I wanted hot sauce but the food was so good without it.
