From the moment I arrived I was greeted by the front desk woman. She was friendly and kind, and was very efficient in getting my room key ready. The hotel had a lovely fragrance which was not overbearing, and the lobby was extremely clean and neat. I appreciated the fact I can get lemon infused water anytime of the day or evening, or a hot cup of tea or coffee. My room was clean and comfortable. Will probably be coming down in another two months and will rebook this hotel. I’ve stayed in other hotels in the Birmingham area, and this one has been the best by far!

It’s been a long time since I’ve stayed in a hotel that I didn’t find something wrong with the room, breakfast, and the staff. But let me tell you if you are not satisfied with this hotel something is wrong with you. This place was awesome we stayed in a lot of hotels because my son is a wrestler and it’s very hard for me to stay in a hotel. This place is I highly recommended from the staff, housekeepers , and head housekeeper. Their breakfast was so great the pool was awesome and everyone I came across had smiles and very nice sure made me feel like home. So thank you ladies and gentlemen for all you do!Keep up the hard work!

I love my room been here five days. First room insects ate my food. Moved to another and I love it. I deserve a free night or/and a discount. Planning on staying a little longer. Do you all have weekly plans? Inn Town is cheaper but we love you all

Clean and comfortable as expected. But what made this a standout was the staff. We had been traveling all day. When we checked in, the nice young man asked if we had eaten, asked what type of food we liked and proceeded to offer some recommendations. That type of customer service and caring is what matters. By the way, it's also dog friendly.

The staff here was excellent and helpful. However, multiple small issues kept popping up. The fridge wasn't cold and had been turned off. Had to wait a day to be able to store meds in it. Keys to the room kept locking us out. Had to get the batteries replaced for the door lock, and three trips just to recharge the key cards. Room was a bit dated, especially the bathroom. I feel the price was a bit much for what was offered here. Breakfast was fine and cleanliness was done well.

Room was decent. Sheetrock mud on the ceilings. Beds were hard but were clean. The hallways ALWAYS smelled of pot. It's was really bad. We stayed on the second floor and you could smell pot coming up the elevators. It was horrible and really strong. Will not be staying here again.

I’m at a loss as to how to review this hotel. It’s in a good location, and is clean and attractive. The staff was really sweet. The breakfast ok. However the awful perfumed scent was overwhelming. Not a good place for anyone with allergies or scent sensitivity. The place is sealed up like a tomb, so no possibility of getting fresh air. Please please Comfort Inn clean with something in scented. I’m afraid to go to any other Comfort Inns for fear of a similar nauseous experience.

We enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Inn. After we made a last minute reservation on the phone, we got to the hotel and the staff could not find it in their computer. I had to call the reservation line again, and finally was able to get the reservation using our phone number. The person on the phone who took our info got my name wrong, and apparently got my email address wrong, as I never received a confirmation email. Once we got it straightened out, and we got up to our room, the rest of our stay was wonderful. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. The room we got was HUGE! Breakfast was delicious with waffles (blueberry and regular), sausage, and mini omelettes. I gave the service 4 stars ONLY because of the issues we had with the reservation service. The hotel itself was wonderful!

The room was clean and comfortable. The bed slept well. It was on the soft side. I hate most hotel beds, but this one was great! The front desk staff was nice and fast at checking us in. I would recommend this hotel.

Powerful smell as soon as you enter. Not sure what it is but it could be a trigger if you're sensitive to such things. Breakfast was good. Big bed. Could have had more towels in the bathroom. They would have given me more had I asked. I'm sure. Hospitable staff

My wife booked this room for a family wedding. Room was half way cleaned. Found hair in bed and bathtub. Clothe chair had several stains and floors in bathroom sticky. One of the pillows in our room didn’t have a pillow case on it, asked for the “Manager” and he told us he was unable to give us a pillow case because the only people who had access to the linen was housekeeping and they left at 3. When returning from dinner, in the parking lot I was approached by a man claiming to be homeless asking for money. When I tried to walk past the man he blocked me momentarily then let me walk by. When I entered the hotel I alerted the staff (manager, who didn’t even get out of the chair )of the man in the parking lot and looking toward the camera screens on the wall told me he didn’t see anyone. We went to our room, packed and left immediately. Not only does this hotel have cleanliness issues but the safety of their guests is obviously not their priority. We had prepaid for our room and we requested a refund and we were refused a refund by the totally unconcerned and useless “manager”

It was fine. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean but outdated and the sink was really high. If you are short it is a little uncomfortable. The breakfast was really good. Staff was nice!

Staff was professional, helpful and courteous. Our room was really spacious, but the bathroom was rather small considering the size of the rest of the room. Their free breakfast was the best I've seen in decades! There were real eggs, both hard boiled as well as cooked well done, waffles, cereal, bagels, toast, yogurt, a granola station, oatmeal, grits, and fresh fruit. I was thoroughly impressed!

Husband having surgery UAB for hip replacement. Wheelchair dependent This was specifically stated when booking room When checking in, saw bathroom not handicapped accessible. Front desk said all rooms alike, no roll in shower, no grab bars. Said should have bench for tub. Husband can’t use a tub period! Pics show standard king room. Plus I had requested early check in due to long trip and early labs at hospital. Desk charged $25 early check in fee

If I could give this property less than 1 star I would. I checked in on January 27th and requested full-service housekeeping at the desk upon checking on. On January 28th at approximately 1330, I stopped by the desk to double-check that housekeeping was coming up here. The front desk agent said they were still coming. 1830 this evening upon arriving back to the room, the room is still dirty... no new linen as requested and trash not removed from room. I am staying on the third floor and it currently smells like a Marijuana farm in the hallway and my room. I requested to speak to the manager but the front desk agent stated that they did not return until Sunday at 1030. She also stated that housekeeping had a lot of rooms to clean. I guess my room wasn't the important one. Do not stay here. Chose another property that values their customers.

We love this hotel. It’s clean and the rooms are nice. It’s 10 minutes from UAB so we stay here often. The only issue I’ve had was someone smoking weed in the building and the smell was strong.

I enjoyed my stay. Room was clean. Front desk was pleasant. Rear parking was great. If you have issues with hot water in the shower, it’s because the faucet was installed backwards. I had the handle turned all the way to the left for 10 minutes and couldn’t get anything but ice cold water. Turned it all the way to the right and had hot water in seconds.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Hotel is in very good area for food and dining options. The only problem is accessing this site during afternoon/evening rush hour traffic. Room was clean and everything worked. Linens were clean and plentiful. Very comfortable and quiet, I was surprised due to the fact when I checked out at 03:00 the parking lot was packed. The only thing I have an issue about is that my Choice Privileges account isn't showing up. Hopefully it will and I would gladly return to this hotel. Update, they do not give Choice Privilege Points or credit your stay if you are an ABF FREIGHT SYSTEMS DRIVER, and probably any other CLC Customer. Guess I'll be looking for another hotel in the Birmingham, AL area that does give Points and appreciates the business from truck drivers.

I travel often and typically try to stay at the nicest hotel I can find in the area. came here with a whole different expectation as soon as I came into the hotel it smelled like weed. but putting that to the side the staffing was terrible. I can truly say this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed. one person in particular was the lady in the breakfast room. such a bad energy and attitude slamming things in the breakfast area talking bad about the customers. calling one of my family members stupid please double think about coming here.!

Front desk was so nice and attentive with check-in. But after getting to the room, the tub had marks in it and the toilet as well. We had to find the housekeeping cart to clean the bathroom ourselves. Called them to ask for help or anything they could do. Only to be assumed that we were the ones that made the mess. We have only been checked in for two hours. I get not being able to get another room but I did not appreciate being accused of making a mess.

We had a family emergency while staying there. The staff was amazing! Kris Was very nice and accommodating during check-in even though we got in really late. We weren’t checked in five minutes when we got news that my dad had broke His hip. The manager on duty Maxine went above and beyond for our family. This was a very stressful time for us as we were so far away from home and she was like a ray of sunshine. I wish she lived closer to me so I could steal her away and offer her a job!

Enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly, the workout room was nice, & the location was convenient to wear we were visiting. The floor in our room was sticky sounding & it was a little dated (mirror coming apart from the frame, etc), but overall it was clean, & the value was there. Would stay there again.

Would not recommend staying here. The main front desk staff were pleasant, but the woman who was in charge of the breakfast was very very rude to everyone who came through. It seemed as though every person was inconveniencing her in a huge way and she would tell people about it. She did try and keep it exceptionally clean though. We also found what we believe was black mold that had been painted over in our room. The room was very humid that the floors felt sticky. The room overall though was clean and they do have a workout room and a pool. The pillows were also nice and soft.

Our room was spacious and quite clean. What you'd expect from a place like this. I do feel like the staff was not very friendly and also there was no breakfast, "due to covid" but there was really no need for this restriction, as other hotels don't have this anymore. So that was pretty disappointing.

If I had to describe my stay at this hotel as fair. I stayed here with my local church for Motion. It was not among the worst of the worst of hotel stays that I have been on. After waiting for our room, which is understandable due to the difficulty of acquiring workers in today's economy, my leader and roommate found that the room was clean. It had a microwave and a minifridge which is a nice amenity. However, I do have some complaints. The stained sheets, smoke smell, damp room, and occasional cockroaches in the tub were all things that I might be able to overlook. My main issue, that was also shared with the rest of the group, was with the employee who prepared and served the breakfast. They did not act professionally in their workplace. I personally caught a lot of flack for the breakfast rush that she apparently encountered on the previous day. Me and my leader came down for breakfast and they asked me if there was anyone behind me. I struggle with hearing people sometimes and when they spoke to me I did not hear them so I said, "Sorry, I did not hear you." Their reply was to look at the employee next to them and exclaimed, "See, that's just how these kids are! Disrespectful and rude." They later stormed off to the breakfast prep room when met with two more tables and slammed the door behind them. I'm not sure what provoked them this morning but I hope that it is only her experience from yesterday that she is still bitter about. I do hope it is that rather than anything else that might actually be worth slamming a door on some kids who wanted some breakfast before they headed out for the day. All in all, these are the only issues I had and I was able to get some rest in between the two nights I spent at the Motion convention. I wish you a great rest of your day, and I pray that that employee is given some peace and patience.
