Always adding new photos. Get the vodka. I've had the green tomatoes with crab and pimento cheese, tuna dip with "stuff for dipping", the fish (omg, yes please). aMAZing. Outside seating is really nice. Sat on the inside for the first time. It was nice too! The staff is fantastic. Never disappointed. Something I really like about the place is... It's totally appropriate to be super casual or dressed up...and everything in between.

Food here was great. Came out hot and fresh and tasted amazing. Lots of cool and unique ideas. Next time we’re in town we will swing by.

This place was great, the cocktails were phenomenal, our favorite appetizer was the loaded fries in duck fat and the quail wrapped in bacon when I tell you mouth watering. I also had the crab cakes perfect size and the pairing with collard greens was something I didn’t know I needed. The atmosphere is great for a nice date or wanting to go somewhere nice with a group of friends.

Another home run for Birmingham diners. I hadn't heard of SoHo Standard but were invited to dine with some friends. The atmosphere is cozy / modern / comfy and just the right size for the staff to properly support it's guest. The menu is spot-on too for its size. A solid handful of options for every course that puts a new twist on favorites and makes you say, "why haven't I tried that before?". Like a beignet filled with crab meat, roasted corn and poblanos THEN dusted with powdered sugar! The bar is game changer too. My wife had a craving for something with fresh blackberries and they invented a martini for her for the evening (check out the photos). Our table stayed in the seafood genre choosing scallops, fresh Snapper and crab cakes. We'd all order it again next time. Check out the ever-changing menu and get reservations before they get impossible to book a table as everything starts to open up again. They will be a local hit for sure.

My visit was on a Thursday at 5pm. Apps were half price and they were running a special on Old Fashioneds. I opted for the Espresso Martini in lieu of an Old Fashioned and ordered the "Beinget" and the skewers. The skewers whetted my appetite for more skewers. The beignets were the lightest and most crispy I have ever eaten including ones I’ve had in New Orleans. How good they were seriously surprised me! I told the bartender the Espresso Martini tasted like the chocolate milk you wanted as a kid (super chocolaty); although, as he told me, there’s no chocolate in it. Wizardry! Soho Standard has a well maintained subtle, sophisticated look with outdoor seating available, as weather permits.Hope to try more from their menu very soon.

Beef tenderloin 100% worth the price. Literally melts in our mouth. Scallops were cooked to perfection. The savory topping for the burratta was the best! Duck pot pie was creative, but definitely consider it an appetizer portion. Old fashioneds were deliciously balanced. Garrett took great care of us and was patient with our questions and indecision. We will definitely return. The only note we have is that the tables were a little small and close together but was fine because we went early and it wasn't a full house. Dress up or dress down, whatever suits you! Side note, bathrooms were amazing. Thank you for a wonderful date night!

Jordan was great! We had the ravioli, fried green tomatoes, biscuit and steak, and cinnamon roll. Everything was fabulous but the ravioli, which had no flavor. But service was excellent, we will be coming back! Thank you!

Stumbled upon this spot for brunch and man are we happy that we found it. All you can eat tapas w optional bottomless mimosas for small additional charge was a really fantastic deal. Great menu selection and plates came out timely. We had a really great experience. Loved trying everything

We brought in 33 guests to Soho Standard for dinner as part of a corporate event. Bridgett, the GM/Event Coordinator was a pleasure to work with in the pre-planning (working with us on selecting the menu, making recs, and allowing us to slightly adjust our event time a week before) and she was even onsite during our dinner. All of our guests raved about the atmosphere and the food. We were greeted with passed apps and a full bar available to us. Then we had fresh bread and plated apps as guests began to sit. Followed by an incredible dinner and dessert. All of the staff was incredibly nice and efficient. Truly an amazing experience that our guests are still talking about. Definitely recommend Soho Standard!

What a cool spot to enjoy a meal, a beer, or just hang out on the patio. The Happy Hour deals are amazing, with fantastic food options. Definitely try the olives and the chips..wow! The complimentary water is served in a vintage bottle too…nice touch! I’ll definitely come back if I’m ever in Birmingham again.

We just had the most amazing dinner here for a family birthday. The atmosphere, service, drinks and food are all equally phenomenal. Our servers (Garrett & AJ) made us feel so welcome, and were so attentive and helpful in ways that most restaurants do not match. We plan to return several times in the future. For the expected experience it is a five star place to meet and eat. Quickest food service ever, and with well prepared hot food.

We had a group of 4 and did the bottomless tapas brunch and it was amazing. Comes with a couple of complimentary mimosas. We tried everything they had to offer and loved everything. Will definitely be back for brunch again soon!

Smaller restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere. Excellent selection of good wines available at reasonable prices. Had the grouper which was the fresh catch of the day which was excellent. Service was prompt and friendly. Great spot in Birmingham for dinner!

This place is all about quality. I love their specially curated cocktails based on the type of liquor used and their small plates are a work of art. Come here with your friends and spend a wonderful evening !

This place is phenomenal. One of our favorite places to eat by far. The food is top notch (Brussels sprouts, venison (when in season), burger, char, beignets, chicken, crab cakes, stack, fries, charcuterie board, etc.- all are awesome). Drinks are always superb- well balanced and creative. Service has always been good. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. As a side note, Jordan is stellar. Super attentive. Great drink and food recommendations but not pushy. And after only being waited on by him once, we returned a month or so later and he remembered us and specific things about us, including what drinks we had before. This is one of the best spots in Birmingham.

Great recommendation from Aloft hotel staff! Fried Green Tomatoes were perfectly prepared and gulf caught Snapper was divine and paired wonderfully with grit cake and charred okra. Making this a fantastic meal was the perfect southern sweet tea. Niki was fantastic also!
