We passed by lots of dive shops before deciding to go with Captain Morgan's for our fun dives and Openwater course. Captain Morgan's is one of the smaller outfits on the island which results in a more personalized approach. We immediately had a good feeling about Aldo as a dive instructor. But it's really the entire team, from the Dive Masters, boat captain to the bar crew that makes you feel at home. On top of that they offer some of the most competitive rates on the Island. I highly recommend 🤙🏼

Amazing diving center to start your diving journey. Professional staff members (especially Aldo and Carla) will guide you both in and out of the water to ensure your safety and fun. Valeria and Ana at the office is also always around to help you with anything you need and answer all your questions. They are just amazing people. The private beach in the back is a great place to relax and watch the stars at night. And you can enjoy really amazing food from Eva's kitchen. Their food is truly amazing and you don't wanna miss out on it. Eva, Domingo and all the kitchen staff will really take care of you. One of the staff members even cut open a coconut for me. That's how nice they are. The boat is bigger than the ones at many other dive centers and the Captain Eduardo knows what he knows doing. So you will definitely hit the best spots around Utila. Rooms are nice (no AC unless you pay extra but they provide fans). There are cleaning staff members that will clean your room and bathroom daily as well. Overall vibe is very chill so after a night out you know you can come back to peaceful environment and get a good night sleep before diving again. I highly recommend this dive center if you are still hesitant on where to go.

If you’re looking to dive in a locally owned school, and want a family feel, dive here ! Captain Morgan’s is run by the lovely Kevin and Emilia who care so much about their clients and ensure it’s a wonderful experience. This dive school is on the smaller side and so you get a more intimate experience which is great for diving! Cecilia the instructor while we were there is so amazing and we would recommend you come here to dive with her. They offer great prices for courses and fun dives. We had accomodation already booked elsewhere, but it looked very comfortable and newly built, and the food is amazing downstairs too. Thanks C.M 🖤 -also best viewpoint for sunset up top 😍

My bf and I really had a great time here!!💕 Honestly, before landing Utila, I had inquired so many dive shops and determined this is my best choice ever! There were some reasons: 1. Affordable price!! Most importantly, they offered more accommodation days than others! You could take your course according to your pace and prevent being too rush! 2.Passion and informative knowledge were predictable before we arrived there. When we concerned about raining season in Utila and visa problems, Isa(DM) was analyzing the real situation and offering much help to make us clear! 3.Accommodation was basis but tidy all the while, hot shower was provided. Besides, the view on the top balcony was amazing!!! The smoothie in their restaurant was cheap and so tasty!! My bf took his AOW course here, and his instructor was Cecilia, we do really appreciate her efforts. Before he was unfamiliar with equalization and always bleeding and pain after diving. Consequently, he felt stressful and unconfident every time.... Yet, upon her encouragement, after diving these days, he gradually got improvements and eventually enjoyed diving within ocean!!!! Yay:) :) :) Hence, please discuss with your instructor if you have any issues, they are here to help you and better you! For being a conservative Asian, I always feel embarrassed and anxious with some social occasions, but we really felt relieved and indulged in the fun atmosphere the dive center offered. Cecilia and Isa were so funny and not merely showing their enthusiasm but profession to ensure your safety on the priority~!! We’re so lucky to have sunny days and it’s really quiet and peaceful feeling in off season, I believe it is also a great choice for budget backpackers. If we wanna have a fantastic experience in Caribbeans paradise, please promise you will choose this dive center!✨✨✨

We just finished our stay and our diving lessons to get the Open Water Certification and we had a really great time at Captain Morgan's. The courses were really interesting and amazing/fun at the same time. Our instructor Aldo never failed to amuse us and make us feel safe. Moreover, the place is really nice. Thank you again Aldo and all Captain Morgan's staff !

Perfect place to dive and stay. You get an amazing family like atmosphere, fun, a space to relax and the most beautiful views from the private beach. The accommodation is great and clean, they even clean your room and spray for mosquitos every day. When doing your open water, your accommodation for the course is included in the price too which is awesome. Our instructor Juli was incredible. She had the perfect balance of fun, encouragement and patience. In all honesty I don't think I could have done it without her as I was so nervous and panicked. But both Juli and Rowan (DM) were so calming and made the experience here diving for me as I would have totally given up without them. Aldo and the rest of the crew are great and are one big family that you are made to feel a part of. Everyone eats, drinks, dives together. I can totally see why people never leave. Great place and you need to see it for yourself.

I never did Scubadiving before and came here to do my OpenWater and then aswell Advanced bc I liked it so much! Thanks to all the wonderful divemasters and my amazing instructors Pere and Aldo. Had a super fun time and felt very welcome. The Hostel has a beach with hammocks and a nice area to chill after the diving. I would def recommend!

Quality week diving and staying with the guys at Captain Morgans! Did my open water course with Julie who was amazing! Honestly couldn't have wished for a better instructor! A great laugh, really funny but also takes the job seriously, helps out and goes out of her way to help anyone who's struggling. Aldo who runs the show is also a top/funny guy! e'd agreed to stay in dorms since they're included in the course but since they had a semi private available let us stay in there instead. All the guys there are up for a good laugh had some great nights out and the atmosphere in the place is awesome! There's always something going on. And Beer Pong Fridays was class! Honestly couldn't have gone better! I'd definitely come back to do my Advanced and further courses and just hang out when I have time!
