Pink Flamingo Restaurant review: delicious, seaside cafe. After visiting once I couldn't keep away--came everyday. FOOD: It's hard to find delicious vegetarian/vegan options in northern Honduras, but this place hit the spot! (If not everyone in your group is vegetarian then they can add meat to any meal). LOCATION: walking distance to the ferry. You can see the ferry enter the harbor, so it is a good place to eat and jump in the sea while waiting. FAMILY-FRIENDLY: We brought our girl who turned one year old during our trip. She played with the owner's two year old son. We had to helicopter around her since this restaurant is surrounded by sea on three sides. Older children would be in seventh heaven since they can swim in the sea there.

1 min walk to ferry port. Right on top of the water. Quiet, as it’s right off the main road just enough. Beds and bathrooms are moderately clean. Fans and a/c rooms optional. Unfortunately, NO KITCHEN and the cool terrace is actually part of the Pink Flamingo cafe. Would stay here for a short period of time again, long term: no. But great location! And the cafe is actually great as well.

The only star is for the terrace. This is the most disgusting hostel I’ve ever been to! They don’t clean anything. The shower only works when someone else is also showering and it’s gross! People were sleeping in a overpriced bed in the hallway with no AC. Drinking water and soap for the hands we’re always out. The 8 bed dorm is so tiny that you can’t even turn around- or pack a small bag. We never got our welcome drink at the bar- because no one cares. The furniture of the terrace is so messed up and dirty, it’s awful. The flamingo bar didn’t have any cooled drinks. The host only shows up to complete your payment- there is no warm welcoming or any kind of activities. No security or someone at the non existing reception at night. Please don’t book here- you’ll get disappointed.

One star! This is the most disgusting hostel I’ve ever been to in Central America. The shower only works when someone else is also showering! The 8 bed dorm is so tiny you can’t move. Air conditioning works only from 20:00 untill 8:00 Furniture of the terrace is so messed up and dirty, it’s awful and very old. There was a young lady, she managed the place. The owner was not there. Very unprofessional Please don’t book here, you’ll get disappointed😅 There are a lot of nice and cheaper options, only thing is to ask around.

I loved it here! We got the private room, which had A+ AC and a shared bathroom, but no one was in the other room, so it was private. The bed was comfy, there was a ton of closet space, and the dock that faces the water was exceptional! They serve super healthy food and drinks from 6AM - 2PM, so we would start our day slowly on the beautiful deck with smoothies, omelettes, coffee, etc. Great experience and perfect island vibes.

Review is for cafe only: I didn't stay in the hostel. One of the best coffee taste. Staffs are friendly and polite. Very nice beautiful patio to sit and enjoy a meal and coffee. Wifi is also ok. I haven't stayed in the hostel so i have no idea about that part.

The staff is very nice and helpful. But the hotel looks quite abandoned. There is no one/no staff between 12-3pm and after 7pm until the morning. Everyone can just enter the hostel and the dorms. We had a private room with a/c but a/c only works at night from 8pm-8am. First night a/c was switched on at 11:30pm. So it was super hot and we couldn’t sleep. Bed wasn’t comfortable at all. In 4 days the room was not cleaned once. Location is perfect though. Close to the ferry dock and you can jump into the sea from the terrace. But I would not recommend it for longer than a night.
