The place is very cold and beautiful, many places don't accept debit or Credit card. Also the street indication are very bad if you drive may get lost or into a one way street that is not clear. The road is in very bad conditions inside the city. The coffee is very good. And the few places with POS for debido and credit card guess what? Didn't work

Beautiful place but the road from Siguatepeque to La Esperanza is really bad.

This was the first town I visited in Honduras and I can say it quickly captured my heart. It felt safe being an American and everyone was nice. I have since traveled to many different citys and this one remins my favorite. It has cooler weather and a fan was typically all we needed both times we visited. The city has tons of typical Honduran food options. The parking can be crazy and I recommend finding lodging early so you can feel your car is safe vs dealing with street parking. There are sadly tons of street dogs just like most of Honduras but I recommend paying 2-3$ for a bag of dog food and walking around and feeding the dogs as an activity.
