I just completed the open water certification course with my spouse and we had a fantastic experience. Thor was patient, calm, and clearly enjoys teaching, all of which contributed to a fun and relaxed experience. We can’t wait to sign up for one of the group trips!

I did the open water training with Thor. He was a great instructor and very attentive to detail. His equipment was high quality and seems to be very well maintained. It was apparent that he loves being in the water and is passionate about introducing others to the world of scuba.

My wife and I recently completed our confined water dives for the open water diver course with Thor/Yay Scuba! It was a great experience, and we would recommend Thor to anyone looking to start this process. He is knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about all aspects of diving, traveling, and being in the water! One of the nicest parts was that we were the only students in this class which allowed for direct instruction the entire time. We definitely plan to dive with him again and hopefully participate in the dive trips in years to come.

Thor is very thorough and makes sure that you learn the skills. He is also gives valuable advice to help select equipment. It's great to work with an instructor that has his kind of passion for scuba.

I tried the Discover Scuba session today! The instructor, Thor, was patient, professional, and kind! I was nervous at first, but Thor explained everything very well and had me take my time learning the basic skills! For someone who's considering scuba diving, I'd recommend trying out this session! We spent about 30 minutes out of the water and then we were in the water for about an hour and half (about an hour of that was underwater). It definitely was a good amount of time to feel out the sport and see if I liked it before committing to certification!

Being over 50, and following family into training, I had no idea what to expect. Thor is a great teacher who takes his craft seriously. If you want to learn to dive, he is your guy.
