Honestly, I wish I could give 0 stars. I ordered a burger with chips, probably the simplest order imaginable. They served two of my friends their food, made my third friend wait a bit longer (his food was under cooked) and completely forgot about me. The waiter then came over to our table and asked what I had ordered and basically accused me of lying because he couldn't find my order. I had to show him my mobile banking app to prove that I had purchased a meal with the drink I already had! He then comes out with my food 5 minutes later. The chips are generic oven chips which I could accept if half of them weren't hard because they were under cooked. Then the icing on the cake, my burger seemed fine 2 bites in, but once I got to my third bite, I was basically chewing raw mince. Honestly one of the worst experiences I've had at a pub. The image attached shows the meat that was in the burger..

Lovely pub with good Guinness & excellent selection of ales. Friendly & helpful staff. Happy to see quite a few vegan options on the menu.

Yet another little pub tucked away from the crowds. Easy to get to so I can't think of a reason this pub was so quiet when we were here mid afternoon. Beautiful place inside and out with a little beer garden outside. The staff were pleasantly cheerful and were happy to have a chat. The Guinness was excellent and the Spitfire ale was nice as well .

Came to watch the World Cup England game. Came early and got seats. Manager decided during the game to turn the volume down and turn the music up. Despite several requests from everyone in the bar music was played and commentary turned off. It was a managerial decision for health and safety. Most people have now left the bar. Well done manager for ruining people day!

A cosy pub with a nice garden to sit out in (problem is that garden is nearby a bench that is populated with the local drunks and smackheads). Only negatives are we asked for a virgin cocktail, and was served an alcoholic one, we were made aware they were premixes and thus it could not have been done without the alcohol; but if you don't understand what someone is asking for, please confirm with them rather than nod. Because we mentioned it several times. Kamil made this error and the worst part is I speak Polish, I could have re-explained to him what we wanted. The kitchen also closed really early and we were unable to get food at 8pm, which is incredibly early for a pub on Friday. Don't know what the deal was with this! But we were effectively condemned to the McDonalds of shame later on as we had a few tourism bits to do with our french friend in the area after we went to the Crown.

Great pub, nice staff and not as busy as some of the other local pubs which get mobbed!

Delicious and great priced fish finger sandwich to soak up the never ending pints. Gem of a pub, for only those in the know. Although my mates brother reckons it's the windiest pub in Britain, but he's a softboy

Decent beer and solid fish and chips. Crazy busy with new, undertrained staff but they did a good job all considering.

Lovely pub, staff is young but nice and friendly enough. Inside space is tiny, there are multiple floors I think but a very narrow building and extremely old and traditional (carpeted floors, etc). Garden area outside is so so nice, not very crowded when we arrived on a Friday night but can imagine it being otherwise! Food menu and beer tap are in line with pubs in the area as are the prices. The steak and ale pie was legit!! Came out covered in gravy yet somehow still perfectly crusty!

Good old fashioned boozer. The ales were a bit bland, but the service and atmosphere were great.

A decent local pub. Nothing to shout about but nothing to say against it either. Not a lot of room inside, but generally good for a mid-week drink or two. Much busier in the summer.

Perfectly nice, cozy, and intimate Shepard Neame pub in the back streets behind Southwark tube. Good selection of well kept beer, spirits, and snacks. Haven't tried the food here yet so can't comment on that yet. But for a good quality beer in a pub where you can hold a conversation, head here! (4 stars because I haven't tried the food yet)

Nothing special, in need of a good clean, but I like this pub. It's a good London boozer!

Decent Shepherd Neame pub not far from Blackfriars Bridge. Only one cask beer on handpump when I visited. Loads of outdoor seating.

The Rose & Crown 🚇 Southwark 🍺 £4.30 Asahi 🐟🍟 £11.95 🍔🍟 £11.95 ❤️ I love exploring London and seeking out pubs off the beaten track,so it was nice to find The Rose & Crown just off Blackfriars Road. There is a beer garden at the rear and a few benches at the side of the pub which is where I sat in the autumnal sun. Inside its cosy with a nice atmosphere and there is an upstairs space away from the bar. I visited mid afternoon so there was no post work rush at the bar and a good time to enjoy a quite pint of Asahi and have a look around. If your having a walk along the Southbank or visiting The Tate Modern, The Rose & Crown is a pleasant oasis away from the crowds. 📊 Information correct on visiting 27/10/17

Pub itself was welcoming. Not busy considering it was a Friday evening. We ordered food - no pizza which was a surprise as nobody else was eating. Chicken burgers looked extremely well done and apparently the rolls were still part frozen. My beef burger turned up a short while later - bun was ok but the burger had been deep fried - tough around the edges and very dry throughout. Fish and chips were good apparently.
