There is a lot of shop and restaurant in area. In the night time there will be more street stall open and selling many kind of stuff. Mostly in the main street of night market area you will find non-food item like clothes and souvenir. Most of restaurant is on another alley / road next to the main market. I like here because the atmosphere is lively. Best time to go here is around 19.00 - 21.00 because it's will be more lively on night and most of merchant starting to closed their stall / shop from 21.00 PM.

The Temple Street Night Market is sometimes known as Men's Street as it is popular for men's fashion. The market starts at 2 p.m., but is lively at dusk daily. Traffic is closed on the street at that time as visitors swarm into the street. There are more than a hundred stalls with colourful lights in the market.

This bustling night market is home to an eclectic mix of street food stalls, fashion stores, and traditional Chinese medicine shops, offering a unique and authentic Hong Kong experience for visitors. With over 700 stalls, there is something for everyone, from the adventurous foodies to the fashion-conscious trendsetters. One of the most exciting things about Temple Street Night Market is the food. Fun little market in Hong Kong! More regular shops then food shops but plenty of food shops though so shouldn't be a problem. Definitely a very busy place but the lights are fun to see! Didn't end up buying anything and the food we did get was good but not the best market food. We only hit three of the stands though so maybe we missed the good stuff!

A must go colourful market in Hong Kong for all! There are many things to shop for, but beware, they are all fakes and you need to bargain hard to get the best deal. Handbags, clothing, toys, paintings, souvenirs, pirated DVDs and watches are majority of the types of items sold in the market. There’s a lane that’s dedicated just for street foods and it’s certainly an eye opener, very crowded though but worth every bit to visit and it’s definitely a must try for all!

Classic Hong Kong street market with street stalls selling various goods and food stalls similar to the hawker centres in Singapore. Beware that the food can be more expensive than you expect at those places but I suspect we were charged 'tourist rates' (~500 HKD for 2 people, 5 dishes). Pictured: fried noodles, clams, sweet and sour ribs, special fried rice

After trying out ladies market earlier we wanted to try this night market and we got the perfect night weather wise. The market was still being opened when we arrived but there was plenty of variety and the stalls weren't too pushy. It stretches all the way down the street and with the sun going down it provided a great setting for looking at art, bags and lots of souvenirs. Definite place to visit if you have the time

It use to be better, covid really hit this street hard. I grew up visiting this street monthly and the atmosphere is now far from what it use to be. Still fun but i would not recommend until it becomes more lively.

It's a mid range of product. Temple Street is a street located in the areas of Jordan and Yau Ma Tei in Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is known for its night market and as one of the busiest flea markets at night in the territory. The night market lies in the Yau Ma Tei, Jordan part of the street. Popular with tourists and locals alike in the evening, it is also common to see the place crowded at dusk. It sells cheap merchandise and food items. The place is sometimes known as "Men's Street".

Temple Street Night Market, nestled in the heart of Kowloon, Hong Kong, is a vibrant tapestry of sights, sounds, and flavors, offering a quintessential nocturnal experience. As the sun sets, the market comes alive with a kaleidoscope of neon lights, creating an electrifying ambiance that beckons both locals and visitors alike. Wandering through the bustling alleys, one is immersed in a sensory feast. Stalls adorned with an eclectic array of trinkets, clothing, and souvenirs compete for attention, while the tantalizing aroma of street food wafts through the air. From sizzling seafood to aromatic skewers and exotic delicacies, the market is a gastronomic adventure waiting to be explored. What sets Temple Street apart is not just its merchandise but the lively street performances and fortune-tellers that add a layer of mystique to the atmosphere. Traditional Chinese opera singers and fortune tellers create an enthralling backdrop, making every stroll through the market a unique cultural encounter. Negotiation is an art form here, as vendors and buyers engage in good-natured haggling, adding an interactive and dynamic element to the shopping experience. The market is a social hub where strangers can connect over shared curiosities and delicious street fare. In essence, Temple Street Night Market transcends its role as a marketplace; it's a pulsating microcosm of Hong Kong's vibrant culture. The energy, diversity, and charm of the market make it an unmissable evening destination, providing a captivating glimpse into the city's bustling nightlife and local traditions.

The Temple Street Market is a sight to see while in Hong Kong. Be sure to have an appetite as you will want to try all of the exotic foods here. From spicy crab to dim sum to deep fried cuttlefish lips. Don't forget to save room for dessert. Also be sure to browse the hundreds of merchants that line the street nightly starting at 7 p.m.

Always a great place to take overseas visitor. Great for cheap gifts, street food and traditional Chinese dessert. 30thJuly 2022: Sad to see how this place has changed. Completely dessimated. Hardly any stores now and plenty of empty spaces. The tough covid policy, lack of tourists really has driven this place to just another poorly run place. Even my favourite dessert place 明記甜品 is no longer here. There are plenty of national flags.

I liked the food options, alcohol was prohibitively expensive. Haggling was able to be done but I found the quality just wasn't there and left purchasing nothing except for food. A fun experience to be had for sure, but it's a lower end experience in the every day life. Edit: I found a fabulous tea shop nearby that I bought lovely quality from. I found another fantastic eating experience easily, I took it up to 4 stars.

Really fun market to explore and haggle for cheap and probably counterfit goods. I used google translate to tell one lady she was a much better haggler than I was and she nodded and laughed really hard. So, remember, have fun haggling, and think about the cost in your home currency and decide if it's worth it. There is also some really good food along the market. I recommend you take a break, have a bite to eat and do some people watching. Also, for those looking for a more steamy adventure, take a walk along the streets sidewalks.

Temple Street Market is a nice place to see what a street market is. They have all sorts of products to choose from. Clothing and shoes to toys and souvenirs. I liked that everyone seemed friendly even though not everyone spoke English very well. I also liked that I could find some really good street food.

I was expecting some more from this street market. Maybe it has more to offer on the weekend. Our visit on a Wednesday night was not memorable. Very few tents set up. Plenty of places to eat in the area though. Don't go on a weekday!

Temple Street Night Market 🌙廟街, a bustling night market encompassing down a whole street off the main road, definitely worth a visit, shoes, clothes, nic nacks, Hong Kong t-shirts from a lovely old woman, and endless proper real HK restaurants!

We’re still on a hang of our roast-rendezvous in the City so tried this restaurant. It is best recommended to devour their street food and sea food in Temple Street but we went on trying restaurants thats serves goose we can find in corners of HK. They serve rice meals and platters with desired plate size. It is reasonably priced.

You have to go there really late at night to see all the stalls. There is plenty of food to try and interesting things to buy. When I went there, it wasn't late enough, so I didn't get to experience all the goods spread out. They sell luggage, toys, knick-knacks, etc.

Very special and exotic street in Hong-Kong. The Night Market in Hong Kong is located on Temple Street in Kowloon, the entire street is a market of souvenirs, cheap clothes and some street food (and some other services=). Prices looks high at the beginning, but it is better to bargain with the seller at the market to bring down the price. It's possible to to reduce the price by half if you are good at negotiations. I suppose this market and the whole district are in the top 10 places in Hong-Kong for visiting. BTW, there are a lot of fortunetellers on nearby street so you can try this unusual experience as well.

Enjoyed the night market. Try going in the week when it's less crowded. There's cool neon signs. Good for photography. There's about 20 food vendors selling different things. I personally enjoyed the mochi (cannot recommend high enough) and the Nepali momos. I couldn't stand the smell of the ofal stalls, but I know many people would like to try it so I cannot give lower stars only because I don't personally like it. Over all very nice experience especially if you have family visiting and want to take them somewhere.

A famous place in Hong Kong for getting souvenirs and snack/food. For the souvenirs, you must bargain! I notice that some of the (male) Sellers are nicer. And try to take one whole market tour before deciding to buy something!

The revitalised Temple Street Market now includes an area selling various street food. The Turkish coffee seems popular and apart from Chinese street food there is also Japanese, Indian and Nepalese to sample. The actual market sells pretty much the same as the Ladies Market but overall it's worth visiting.

  • 3/5 Möbius 3 months ago on Google • 75 reviews New
It's a pretty small area with around 30 food stands. Price is reasonable in Hong Kong standard, however it's definitely more expensive than the markets in Taipei, Shenzhen, Bangkok and even Münich and Amsterdam. Not much to recommend though: Turkish coffee is great but price is similar to Albert Cuyp Markt but half the size of what you can get. Snake soup is delicious, Chicken Tikka roll is ok, Dahl Puri is delicious but it's expensive as you can basically finish the whole thing within seconds. Deep fried pig intestine is also delicious. Others I didn't try simply because those food are all available near my home.

Back in Hong Kong after a 6 year break away from travelling and I’m sad to say that this night market was not as I remember at all . A lot less busy, far fewer stalls and just a lot more low key without the hustle and bustle we remember. Western tourists were a rare sight in this market so perhaps things are not scaled back and not the same . Nice street display of lanterns over the stalls !

Nice place specifically for ladies and kids.. A lot of bags there and electronics. But you have to bargain and be so patient. One bag for wife first price was 350 then we took it with 100 and I think if we go down more we would have take it cheaper. But overall goods quality very good.

This place is great fun if you want to get some nice inexpensive gifts for the family back home. It's a highly rated destination for tourists where you can get everything from electronics, toys, accessories, clothing, souvenirs, decorations and gag gifts. This is definitely a place where you can put your bargaining skills to the test. ** Be aware that all of the branded items are knock offs. If you buy imitation goods you could get in serious trouble with customs upon returning to your home country. So make sure they are so bad it's funny.

The Temple Street Night Market is perfect for sight-seeing, souvenir shopping, and especially for sampling local cuisine. The seafood here is some of the best. Fairly priced and although not the most clean in appearance, it's street food. You're going to eat out on the street. Crab, prawns, oysters, duck, pigeon, etc. It's all here! The people are courteous. The crowd is mixed of visitors from all over the globe, resembling a festival in the heart of the market. Vendors can be a little pushy but if you bargain with them, you can get many items for nearly half what they originally offer. This market is definitely worth a visit. I came here for 1-3 hours, 3 of the 4 nights in the area and enjoyed each experience.

Shadow of its former self. Not enough variety almost every shop was selling the same stuff. We tried both during the day and night. Night is definitely better, but it is still hard to say it was worth anyone's time. Unless you need to see a lady of the night, then sure, go to the temple street night market

I've been told it's not what it used to be. There where many stalls selling the same stuff. Same price. We bought plenty of souvenirs, and enjoyed the banter and experience.

It is a street food and flea market. They have different food stalls and restaurants beside the stretch of the street. The local food is good. The street is closed for the flea market. Merchandise stalls sells cheap and mid range of products such as souvenirs, shoes, clothes, and others.

This is a review from a tourist prospective. The Temple Street Night Market is an interesting place to watch people. It feel like you can find everything in here - from plastic baby toys to fake dior bags. It's kinda food and flea market. When we arrived at around 4PM it was unexpectedly quiet with many stalls closed though. Not sure, but perhaps it's more lively during the weekend? I would recommend watching your wallet and pockets carefully - even locals keep their belongings close by in this place.

As the sun sets and the market comes alive, an array of tantalizing aromas fills the air, drawing locals and tourists alike into its enchanting grasp. From sizzling woks and steaming dim sum to skewers of mouthwatering grilled seafood, the diverse street food offerings cater to every palate, promising a delightful journey through Hong Kong's culinary heritage. Venturing deeper into the labyrinth of stalls, one discovers an eclectic mix of goods. Traditional handicrafts, trendy fashion pieces, and quirky souvenirs vie for attention, creating a shopper's paradise. Bargaining becomes an art as visitors embrace the market's vibrant energy while hunting for hidden gems. Beyond the gastronomic and retail adventures, the night market immerses visitors in an immersive cultural experience. Street performers showcase their talents, mesmerizing the crowd with traditional music, dance, and awe-inspiring feats. However, amidst the allure of the night market's charm, visitors should exercise caution and be mindful of their belongings, as the crowded atmosphere may attract pickpockets. In conclusion, Hong Kong's night market is a sensory extravaganza that showcases the city's spirit in all its splendor. From culinary delights to cultural wonders, this nocturnal wonderland should be at the top of every traveler's must-visit list.

Good food and good tourist junk abound in this long time attraction. A local specialty seems to be spicey crab, as there are several small restaurants offering it. Always worth a visit if you are in the Kowloon/Jordan area.

Stay out late at night? No worries because there's a lot of foodies and cart noodles restaurants just around the corner. Love to hang out in this place at least once a week.

Lively night market with a variety of items and foods to purchase. Everything from fruit to 'lady entertainment' as well as iconic and popular HK restaurants.

Awesome and extremely busy! The food stalls were astonishing, so many different world dishes to choose from and at very reasonable prices, such a great atmosphere

Kudos to the HK tourism board for the revamp to promote international (10 vendors) and local street food (22 stalls). Judging by the crowds, it seems to be a hit! A couple of tips: 1) Avoid going on weekends if you’re claustrophobic or not a fan of queues. The food market is open from 2 - 11 p.m. daily so there’s ample opportunity to find a quieter time. 2) The Nepalese spot selling the pani puri and chatpate is one of the most popular joints. The food prep takes a while so if you don’t fancy waiting, head down to their restaurant (Manakamana Nepali) that’s located a bit further in on 107 Temple Street. 3) If exploring with kids, avoid the side alleys as this area (Jordan & Yau Ma Tei) is infamous for being one of Hong Kong’s biggest red light districts.

Easy to find Temple Street fr Jordan MTR,exit A. Had street food as dinner from the start till end of the street. There is nothing much to buy except for those magnets,t-shirts and bags Enjoy the food very much. There are also other choice of food if street food is not enough.
