A beautifully decorated Chinese restaurant operated by the Maxims group, with a bar area at the podium level. Though, it does not offer you a sea view, but the podium view of the Element is also good in the night time. The service and foods are excellent. I can only classify it as a Chinese restaurant because it offers cusines from differne Chinese provinces. We ordered the HSBC visa menu, which offered 50% off ($1280 for 4). We also ordered a cumin roasted lamb, spicy deep fried bean curds and red bean paste cake (dessert). So it ended up at $17xx for the whole dinner. I am very happy with it because of the cozy place, wonderful food and excellent service. Most important is, we can enjoy the night without any time limit (of course you have to leave when they close 🤣).

The Pond (ground level) is a great restaurant for a quick bite or to hang casually with friends. You won't have to wait long for The Pond's gourmet dishes because the service is fast and friendly. Enjoy their signature dish - Roast Duck - or explore the menu to find a variety of great choices.

The service is not as good as expected. Waited a long time for the food and no sign of apology. Food quality is below average to average. The chicken I had is tasteless, texture not solid as normal fresh meat.

Food was just average but the service and comfortable seatings makes up for it. Peking duck was good but the sauce was too sweet and thick for my liking. Steamed pork dumplings was just ok skin was a bit thick, plenty of other restaurants nowadays that does excellent pork dumplings. Shredded chicken noodles the sauce wasn’t too tasty

bro Wut da hell man they charge like 24 dollar for water and tea even tho they don’t serve it when you walk in, not only that they take like 10 min to give it to u like gawd DAYUM bro their utensils are crusty musty and dusty and makes me want to give my grandma’s old dusty attic a 5 star. I ordered the fried tofu and it’s ok except for the fact someone sharted a bowl of pepper in it there’s just wayyyy too much The table is extremely greasy but I guess that’s okay because it’s enough for my car to run for hours

Poor service + upset stomach the next day: While the peking duck was relatively decent, everything else was horrible at this restaurant. Firstly, the service was extremely poor, no staff was attentive, took several waves and call outs just to flag down a waiter. The restaurant also charged us $48 for "Tea and Water" fee, even though we were never served tea when we first sat down, nor did they even ask us at the start what kind of tea we wanted, all we got was a glass of water, this is not how it's supposed to be in Chinese restaurants. Secondly, the food quality seems sub-par, the cumin lamb barely had any spices/flavor to it, tastes just like normal western lamb steak. Furthermore, I experienced upset stomach for the whole day in the following day, must have been some of the food was not fresh. Overall, this place should be avoided as there are plenty of better restaurants serving peking duck dish.

Seated upstairs. The waiters were not easy to notice our needs. We ordered a dish of vegetable that added egg in it. We thought it was a soy product and we checked the menu to identify it was egg pieces. Not a good combination though. Half Peking duck dish doesn't offer much skin.

I can not agree with some of the critical voices here. The restaurant has unlike many other Chinese restaurants a very nice atmosphere, stylish interior, good service, which responds pretty fast to client requests and offers a wide variety of good quality food which is also presented in a very attractive manner. Dumplings and Duck are recommended. Very yummy!

Food was satisfactory, but the size of the fish was kids size. Plus I asked for change of plates before having the Peking duck, she told me there were no plates left. Then I verbally complained saying how can you not have plates for a restaurant that’s charging fine dining pricing and at a prestigious location! Miraculously cleaned plates came out 2 mins later!

The quality of the sweet and sour pork is poor, the meat is rather dry, and the sauce is also insufficient. The teapot also has many tea stains, which doesn't feel too good.

It’s between a 3 and 4 star for me. They have a nice setting and the staff are friendly. Main let down is food which has a neither here nor there taste. Since it’s not exactly at the cheap end (not astronomical to be fair), it’s a little disappointing.

This is a great place to go for Chinese food because the vibes and environment is modern and chic yet on the menu you can still find Peking duck and other goodies. By the stairs, there are fresh fish on ice which you can order and choose the way you want it cooked.

One of the Maxim outlets and this one is themed as Chinese fusion with duck and fishes centric dishes. Well situated in the Civil Square of ICC among all the other western cuisine restaurants nearby which makes it easy to stand out from the crowd. Food quality is as good as you can expect from Maxim. Service is great as staff are helpful.

🫤 This was my usual place to get pineapple bun with butter and Hong Kong style milk tea. With the pandemic, this was the first time I returned to Hong Kong after 4 years.
