Loved our stay here! It was the perfect location nestled between Polynesian Cultural Center, McDonald’s & a beautiful beach. The staff made it special with their wonderful welcoming spirit and we were always made aware of any extra costs that we would incur for equipment rentals (snorkels/surf board etc) and food from the Bistro. Our room on the second floor had a beautiful ocean view, mini frig, and microwave oven. The bed was firm and cozy, bathroom stocked with plenty of towels, and everything was very clean! Some describe this hotel as economy class, but to us it had a truly luxurious feel as everything we could imagine we needed was here! — Fancy pool with waterfall, airy lobby for sitting & listening to live music, restaurant, comfortable room, gym, hula & ukulele lessons, laundry facilities, rentals for beach gear, safe private parking lot, and the best part — wonderful smiling employees with such graciousness! We hope to come back again soon!

Genuinely wish we had stayed here for our entire Hawaii trip. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The proximity to the Polynesian Cultural Center was great. The pool area was amazing and so fun for the family. The staff was on top of everything and friendly. The cafe in the lobby was reasonable and accommodating. I'm just disappointed we didn't stay longer rather than moving to Waikiki area during the trip.

The best hotel we stayed in Hawaii. The staff was very friendly, with exception of one person we spoke on the phone. But overall they were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is near the Polynesian Center, so is a different type of stay. If you drive there are also gorgeous beaches nearby. It is a petty we couldn't enjoy the beach while staying there. The Bistro closed early, and most places to eat close early as well. They do have a microwave in the lobby with some snacks to buy I think. They offer Hula, Ukelele, and Lei crafting classes. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to try any. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the room was quiet. I def recommend.

Great experience at this North Shore hotel. Under some renovations but the staff was friendly and rooms were clean and comfortable. Patio area with entertainment and activities. Secluded beach access across the road. Caught a beautiful sunrise there. Pool area was very nice.

I love it! I remember growing up passing this empty patch of land that was blocked off. It is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are very nice and a great location because it is home to my family. And you can't beat that it's next to McDonald's for the bomb portugese sausage breakfast. 😂🤤

I was worried that a dry town would be no fun but I was so wrong. You can have drinks in your room, just not out in public places. Obviously if you're wanting a swim up bar, this isn't the way to go. We brought our 2 kids (12 & 9) and had an absolutely fabulous time for 12 days. We were super close to the pool, had a pretty quiet room for being on the first floor, quick service whenever we needed anything (we got our room cleaned twice while we were there & asked for extra pillows/ spa face masks), and could walk to food at the Hukilau Marketplace in the Polynesian Cultural Center next door. The Bistro is not really a restaurant, they have a few items for breakfast and a few for dinner and that's it. There are so many food truck options nearby or to the north or elsewhere on Oahu, it totally worked out. BTW the cabanas are only $20 for two hours, totally worth it. Also, the on-site laundry is coin operated but the front desk gives quarters- if you have sensitive skin you'll need to buy detergent, they only have regular detergent, not free and clear, in their vending machine. I would absolutely stay again. Lastly, go to Bathtub Beach, it's a short walk south and amazing for kids.

The staff were all super friendly and the hotel rooms were fine. It had a bit of a conference feel. The pool area was good. It’s a shame there’s not a pathway along the main road to the shopping centre as that would be a nice walk, it makes the hotel in a lot less walkable location (not their fault). I knew prior to going to this hotel that it was in a “religious” dry town but I probably wasn’t prepared for how many judgmental “religious” guests would be in said pool area having a lot to say. Each to their own but it was pretty full on - I recognise this is one of two hotels on the north shore so those wanting to explore more of the area are limited.

One of the nicest hotels we have stayed. The newly renovated rooms are very comfortable and extremely clean. The entire staff, especially the food service, was great. We enjoyed our stay and will return again.

We had a wonderful experience here! The location is away from the tourist areas, so you avoid crowds and have easy access to what feels like a private beach. The staff was so friendly and kind-- often going above and beyond what we expected. For example, we celebrated a birthday so we had birthday items in our room. When housekeeping came one day, they made a birthday cake out of towels and left a happy birthday note with treats. What a fun surprise to come back to! The hotel is clean and quiet and we loved having the ability to rent equipment for our activities. 1000% would stay here again and highly recommend it to all considering!

Large, clean rooms, nice pool. Families fully own the pool at most hours however, so those looking for an adult experience beware. The beach across from the hotel however, was our favorite around. None of the crowds of the famous north shore beaches, and beautiful views. You’ll feel spoiled.

We were so excited to visit for our honeymoon and we had an issue at check in. The front desk staff was unhelpful and would not go out of their way to help fix the issue. They simply told us to "figure it out" and wait in the lobby instead of being helpful. I feel that the hotel could improve on their customer service when working with guests. I wouldn't recommend this as a place to stay and would look elsewhere.

There are not many hotel options on North Shore. We spent two nights at the Courtyard by Marriott hotel and had an overall nice stay. It was a pricy stay, at over $500/night for the king suite. The hotel is located right by the Polynesian Cultural Center (which is N amazing experience) and very close to the beach(es), shopping and places to eat. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. There is a beautiful pool, pickle ball courts, and lots of beach equipment to rent. We stayed in the king suite. It was wonderfully spacious, with a small sink, microwave, and mini-fridge. The room did feel a bit outdated and our bed and pillows felt a little uncomfortable for our liking. We also felt like we could hear a lot of noise from the hall and adjacent rooms. The hotel has a restaurant (costs extra) where we had breakfast each morning. Each day there is live entertainment and activities at the restaurant. Within a few minutes there are several other restaurants, and within 15-20 minutes there are many other great restaurant options.

We stayed here for 6 nights and absolutely loved it. The location couldn't be better for beach hopping on the most beautiful side of Oahu. There are many amenities nearby including a grocery store and some of the best restaurants on the island. What was most impressive was how great the staff was, they went above and beyond to help our family with everything. Penina was especially helpful helping us with some accomodations we had to change. She went the extra mile and then some to make sure we got what we needed. The rooms were clean and the hotel has rentals like kayaks, boogie boards, and beach towels (free) when you want to go explore. The pool was fantastic. If you're looking to get a real taste of Hawaii, and not fight the crowds on Waikiki this is the place to stay. We're ending our stay on Waikiki in a fancy resort...and I already am wishing we would have just stayed up there.

We stay there two night on April 2-3, 2023. The room is clean and location is great, it closes to Polynesian culture center. The most thing I want to point it out is the activities the hotel provide: Dance class every morning. native Hawaii dance teacher Aunty Kela told us Hula dance, she also show us how to make braces using tree leaves, told us the story of her family. she is such a kind person, so patent, always have smile on her face. even thought the class is short ,but it gave us a great chance to get close to native Hawaii culture. it is first time for me to see this kind of service from hotel, really enjoyed and appreciated ! The room is very clean, the most surprised thing is the face mask it provided, love it!

Expensive, but comfortable. Marriott beds are always the best. Jessica at the front desk took excellent care of us. She made sure we were well taken care of. She even took the time to remember our names and the reason for our visit. She made our stay feel even more special. Marriott did good with this hotel and their awesome staff!

We had a wonderful time here! The best part was Auntie Kela teaching our family how to play the ukulele and the hula. One of the best teachers ever and so fun for the kids to meet and she was amazing, a wealth of knowledge. She teaches the free classes as part of your stay at the hotel. 100% made it the best to stay here to make fun memories! They have different classes!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had booked through a travel website and since we stayed 10 days we got a very good rate. The entire team was nice and helped us with whatever we needed during our stay. The pool was beautiful and relaxing and it was conveniently located next to the Polynesian Cultural Center which we would visit and walk around the shops outside. We loved being able to rent beach chairs from the hotel, which was very helpful when traveling a long distance and the hotel also offers different classes to learn the Hula! The beaches on the North Shore and breathtaking, with such gorgeous views and beauty to behold. We rented a car which was very safe parked in the lot attached to the hotel and our beds were super comfortable. It was nice to stay on the North Shore since it's more quiet and calm compared to Honolulu. It takes about 3 hours to drive fully around the island, so it wasn't a big deal that we stayed up there either. The hotel was close to the Kualoa Ranch which we visited a few times throughout our trip. It's where many movies were filmed, including Jurrasic Park & World movies! We experienced some cool excursions there as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Oahu and would visit again.

This hotel was amazing. The rooms and all of the facilities were super clean and nice. Really though, the staff was incredible. We have never felt loved and cared for by hotel staff until we stayed here. From the minute we checked in we were met with chocolates, friendliness, and exceptional service. Our house keepers were incredible and so sweet. We were met each day with kind notes and chocolates. Everyone at this hotel exudes Hawaiian spirit and we felt that through and through. I can't wait to come back, hopefully it won't be too long before we can make it back here.

A wonderful Polynesian looking lad checked us in when we arrived past midnight on the first day. He was very nice, welcoming and helpful. We felt treated like family. The hotel amenities were great. Room was clean and bedding was comfortable. Perfect location to enjoy everything north shore has to offer. It’s literally right next to the PCC, and all the north shore attractions are within 30min drive. We enjoyed our stay here so much that the latter half of our stay in Waikiki seemed a bit lacklustre lol.

This is the cleanest facility that I have ever stayed in! The common areas never have any trash and there are folks that continuously keep the floors and other things looking great. The staff are super helpful and the atmosphere is wonderful. My family and I stayed 2 weeks and it was a great experience!!! I would highly recommend this hotel.

Normally not the chain of hotels I stay in but I’m impressed. Not only was the staff professional and courteous, but the rooms were immaculate. The activities and events were surprising in both quantity and quality. The pool was a solid win with the kiddos. Tons of fun with the family here and a new impression of the Courtyard hotel chains.

Great place to stay. Super friendly staff. Well maintained facility, very clean. Lots of Hawaiian activities at the hotel. Also a lot of reasonably priced water recreation equipment available. Very short walk to beach. Will be back!

Very expensive for a Courtyard brand and an unfortunate disservice to the families and friends of students, temple-goers, and local residents who have very few lodging options in the immediate area. The cafe needs a better menu and more staff because it's very slow. But the hotel staff are great, the pool is wonderful, and we love to come here for live music in the evenings and ukulele lessons and hula in the mornings!

Great place to stay for our family vacation. Comfortable beds, clean room, kind employees, incredible location and the list goes on and on. Avoid the busy streets of Honolulu and enjoy the quiet beauty on this side of the island. Loved our stay here.

Fantastic stay. Super clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Bistro is basic and if you like to have a cocktail by the pool, maybe not your pick. However this did not diminish from our amazing north shore experience. Pool and facilities are pristine. Loved our stay. Highly recommended 👌

Thank you, thank you, thank you. We had our first stay at this hotel and were more than pleasantly surprised. We were warmly welcomed and immediately felt comfortable and at home. The service is exceptional. The rooms are large, comfortable and very clean. Every request was implemented as quickly as possible. The breakfast options are ok, but you can get a richer buffet breakfast for similar money at the Banyan Dining Hall. Parking is currently $20/d, but should be included. Nearby are supermarket, various food trucks and fast food options. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you to the entire hotel staff for the service. Service. Claudia & Werner

The room was very clean and had everything you could need. The lobby and pool area is absolutely beautiful. I loved the authentic Polynesian decor and the proximity to the beach and the PCC. I only wished that the the customer parking was closer as opposed to the visiting guest/15 minute parking surrounding the whole front area.

This place went above and beyond during our stay. The staff are amazing from the time we entered to the time we left. The staff were always willing to help, we always felt like FAMILY here. There’s a Starbucks here, a pool for the kids and a jacuzzi, laundry room and also super close to food places and beaches. Thank You all for making our stay an incredible experience.

I travel for work a lot and use the Marriot brand each time. This is the best experience I have ever had with my family. Amazing staff, clean facilities, and the pool and outdoor activities were a hit. You cannot beat the location for North Shore activities.

  • 3/5 Sara T. 8 months ago on Google
This hotel is a no-frills type of place for a less expensive stay on the north shore. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful and the Polynesian Cultural Center is right next door, offering a lot in terms of food, luau, shopping, etc. If you are planning to be out and about all day like us, and you're only using the hotel for sleeping, it's a good option. If you'd like something a bit more up to date, or more of a resort type of feel, this would not be the best choice.

Solid hotel for a three-star. Clean rooms, although would be closer to four stars without the carpet in the room. Pool area is nice with many activities. Overall service is very good. Seem to be a kid friendly hotel too. Only real minus: the wifi was terrible and unreliable.

This is an amazing hotel. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The pool is great. Water views, and quick access to the beach. Board rentals and free beach towels. Clean rooms. On site restaurant. Win.

Was debating staying here vs turtle bay and so glad we saved the extra money and stayed here! Truly a beautiful hotel and amenities. Better than the hilton hawaiian village we stayed in in Waikiki too! Clean room, super friendly and amazing staff. 10/10

  • 4/5 Kate D. 1 year ago on Google
The Courtyard is in such a great spot! Perfect location for anyone who’s going to the PCC or doesn’t want to pay Turtle Bay prices. It’s also convenient for families who are moving college students into BYU-Hawaii’s campus down the road. The pool is wonderful; never too crowded, the bistro is yummy but a bit expensive for what it is, the staff are very nice, and on Sunday nights they have live music in the lobby! The one downfall is that it’s rooms are not entirely clean. The shower had hair in it which was gross, and the surfaces (nightstands and dressers) weren’t wiped down. The sheets were clean though so that is good! I’d also say that the fold out couch is worse than sleeping on the floor so if you’re travelling with a group, put the youngest person on the couch ;)

  • 5/5 Dave N. 11 months ago on Google
Probably the best Courtyard we’ve ever stayed in. Room was nice, bed was comfy. Pool area and amenities were far better than expected. However, what put this place over the top was the staff. Every employee was extremely friendly and helpful, especially Gabe. He checked us in and set the tone.

  • 3/5 Jamieson B. 1 year ago on Google
This place is not bad if you’re just looking for a place to sleep. The people are very nice and welcoming. The rooms are clean but have old carpet and smell musty. The pool is ok but there’s no service (it’s a dry hotel). The “restaurant” is terrible, it’s a counter where you line up and order overpriced microwave tasting food. Use this place as a home base for exploring north shore beaches and nature. If you’re looking for a resort vibe, consider turtle bay. We went there for drinks and dinner and really regret not staying there. 2.5 stars.
