It
happened
while
I
was
traveling
from
Japan.
For
insurance,
I
took
advantage
of
the
overseas
travel
accident
insurance
that
comes
with
my
credit
card.
When
you
contact
the
reception
desk
at
the
clinic
and
tell
them
about
it,
they
will
contact
your
credit
card
company
yourself.
I
contacted
the
clinic
in
advance
and
asked
them
to
fax
me
the
card,
which
I
forgot
the
name
of.
I
remember
that
when
my
daughter
contracted
the
flu
in
New
York,
the
hospital
contacted
the
credit
card
company
directly
and
they
responded
smoothly,
so
I
felt
that
the
response
was
a
little
different.
After
feeling
unwell,
I
contacted
my
credit
card
company
several
times
and
was
finally
able
to
see
a
doctor.
During
my
first
visit,
when
I
had
finished
filling
out
most
of
the
information
on
my
iPad,
the
iPad
froze
and
I
had
to
start
over
from
the
beginning,
and
the
person
at
the
reception
desk
said
that
the
phone
had
been
disconnected.
Actually,
the
call
got
cut
off
while
I
was
on
the
phone.
It
seemed
like
something
was
wrong
with
the
phone
that
day.
I
felt
a
little
uncomfortable
at
the
hospital,
but
I
pulled
myself
together
and
went
to
see
the
doctor.
After
checking
my
weight,
blood
pressure,
etc.,
I
went
to
see
the
doctor.
The
doctor
seems
to
be
quite
old.
As
a
medical
worker,
I
had
a
good
idea
of
my
condition,
and
my
diagnosis
was
correct.
I
knew
that
the
treatment
would
be
more
effective
if
I
started
taking
medicine
as
soon
as
possible,
but
since
I
am
a
medical
worker,
I
suggested
that
I
should
procure
the
medicine
myself
after
I
returned
home,
or
that
it
would
be
cheaper
to
do
so.
I
was
worried
about
his
condition
worsening
on
the
way
back
home,
so
I
told
him
I
wanted
to
drink
it
right
away.
(Even
in
this
state,
I
was
in
a
pretty
bad
condition...)
I
wanted
to
finish
my
appointment
early
and
take
the
medicine
as
soon
as
possible,
but
the
doctor
kept
talking
for
a
long
time,
and
I
was
confused
about
how
to
go
about
the
same
thing...I
ended
up
cutting
off
the
conversation
in
the
middle
of
the
conversation
and
getting
stuck
even
when
the
medicine
stopped
working.・.
When
I
finally
finished
seeing
the
doctor
and
was
waiting
for
the
medicine,
they
didn't
call
me
(my
condition
is
quite
painful,
so
I
want
to
take
the
medicine
as
soon
as
possible),
so
I
asked
if
I
could
get
it
here,
and
the
doctor
said,
Taka?
and.
It
was
so
late
that
I
thought
he
was
out
of
the
hospital.
Meanwhile,
I
heard
an
exchange
at
the
reception
desk
saying
that
the
fax
wasn't
working,
and
that
there
was
something
wrong
with
the
phone
line
today...^_^.
(I
have
a
bad
feeling
that
the
fax
was
not
sent...)
When
I
was
finally
called,
I
was
asked
again
about
my
symptoms
and
wrote
them
down
on
my
iPad.
Insurance
companies
are
very
strict,
so
if
I
had
to
pay
out-of-pocket,
it
would
be
an
inconvenience
for
the
patient.Now
that
I
think
about
it,
I
remember
that
I
was
first
made
to
sign
a
consent
form
saying
that
if
the
insurance
was
not
covered,
I
would
have
to
pay
out-of-pocket.
Ta.
I
later
realized
that
this
was
probably
because
the
clinic
itself
was
bothered
by
the
hassle
of
having
to
pay
for
the
bill
all
the
way
to
Japan.
I
thought
to
myself
that
I
had
just
filled
out
the
medical
history
about
my
symptoms
at
the
beginning,
but
I
told
myself
that
it
would
be
over
soon
and
left
the
clinic.
I
got
out
and
quickly
headed
to
the
vending
machine
to
buy
some
water
and
try
to
take
some
medicine.
The
story
didn't
end
here.
The
medicine
is
so
big...what
the
heck,
it's
supposed
to
be
a
small
white
pill
in
Japan.
It's
so
blue
and
big
that
it's
disgusting.
Well,
it's
a
generic
one,
so
there's
no
explanation
given.
I
trust
original
manufacturer's
products
more
than
generic
ones,
so
I
thought
it
would
be
okay,
but
it
would
take
time
to
go
back
to
the
clinic...
I
patiently
drank
it,
but
I
still
feel
like
it's
not
as
effective.
After
visiting
the
clinic
this
time,
I
felt
that
instead
of
just
prioritizing
the
management
of
the
clinic
itself,
there
should
be
more
consideration
and
consideration
for
emergency
medical
visits
by
travelers.
On
that
point,
the
clinic
my
daughter
went
to
in
New
York
was
very
kind
and
reassuring.
