Thanks to Frolic and IG we saw photos that we just couldn't resist on coming by! Arrived just before 10am and found out they don't serve Poke till 10:30am. Worked out though, my son loves Musubi and got him one for the time being. The Musubi had a thick slice of Spam which was more the merrier for him. It was a 2 thumbs up from him! When the time had arrived there was a line formed about 5 people in front of us. We waited for about 10 minutes. We ordered the Poke Bowl for $18 for 2 choices/1 side: Salmon with Truffle Ponzu and Spicy Ahi with White Rice and Yuzu Cucumber. Here's the not so good about PP... They have a refrigerated display case with poke styles on signs (I guess what they will be offering for the day) Garlic Hamachi caught our eye and we was looking forward to ordering it. When my partner asked the worker if the Hamachi was going to be served, she said let me check. She peeks into the back and comes out saying that they will have it later today. We asked what time and response was I'm not sure. OK... The lack of customer service part of this was that the BOH couldn't give a time when it would be available. Really? Why tease customers with something that they cannot order? Perhaps they should not have signs unless they are serving it. As for the tasting of our choices! Spicy Ahi is good but not great. Wasn't any different than most. The Truffle Ponzu was unique to where you do not have the sweet flavor that is found with the furikake Salmon pokes out there. Not being sweet and having the citrus from the ponzu shine through made it yummy. However, the biggest disappointment of this was the Rice was Hot! Do you know what this means? It slowly starts to cook the fish. Eating the fresh Poke warm wasn't to our cup of tea. It would probably be best to have the rice cooled prior to serving for this reason. Management Owners should better prepare their staff to be able to communicate to the Customer to avoid any let down or disappointment. Plus attention to little details with room temp rice for the Poke bowls. Would come back to try the Poke styles that were not available. Maybe this is their way to have repeat business?

Highly recommend to visit if you wanna try poke bowls that are not ordinary. Their poke is super fresh and the flavors are creative. My favorite is Ahi FTW and Spicy Hawaiian Alaea. If you’re a fan of Tako, their Limu Madako is amazing. I like to enjoy poke by the lbs, but I’d recommend having their poke with rice due to some of these are a little salty to my taste. The restaurant: AC is kinda cold, but there are seats for you to enjoy their poke bowls.

I'm late in discovering this place, probably one of my favorite poke spots near downtown with almost great parking. And while they do poke well, they have solid special daily hot dishes (the shoyu pork is ono), and start the day with easy-take bento and musubi. Their salmon/ikura musubi is provably my favorite thing here. Finally, they bring in a great selection of local desserts and snacks.

Poke bowl place in the Nuuanu area that also serves plates, snacks, and musubi. Friendly staff, daily specials, quick service. Be sure to go early if you want to try some of their specialty poke flavors as they tend to have limited amounts.

I was really excited when I heard about this shop. It is the first poke shop that I know of that uses rice from, The Rice Factory (i.e., locally milled rice from Japan). Ever since I discovered the Rice Factory, I've been spoiled with rice that tastes great and has a softer, moister texture. It makes the overall dish that much better. The overall poke bowl was great! I also wish all poke shops would offer cold rice as an option. I prefer my poke cold, and when it's put on top of hot rice, I get the feeling it's getting cooked.

Nice little poke restaurant with some really good short ribs! We came here for the poke, but the short ribs were the winner! Little bit fatty, but of course, that's where the flava comes from. They have salmon katsu and a bunch of different items here, which I'm sure is ono. It's definitely a must try! Great staff with energetic personalities and very helpful. We tried the 2 winning poke bowls from 2022 and 2023, if you like garlic flava, then it's for you. I personally prefer Mama Kims on King St. For poke bowls. We will be back to try something less garlicky.

Happened to be in Nuuanu and found a gem of a poke restaurant! Honestly I had a difficult time trying to figure out what I should try since I read online that the garlic noodles were great, but they had so many poke options... so I went with their special Tataki Bowl! It took a bit of time to make but it was delicious! I'm not an onion person but I ended up eating it all! Their rice was high quality as well. Staff there were SO friendly and nice that this place is highly recommended. Check it out if you can!

The workers there are extremely kind and welcoming. They were very accommodating for our first visit and made sure to explain everything very well. Their poke(fish) was very fresh and the seasonings were very tasty. Clean interior and display. I wish I had one nearby!

Overpriced. $23 to $33 per pound. I got 3 portion of fish with sushi rice plus a drink (just one person) tip added $38. Quality is good but I still feel scammed a little bit

Poke shops are a dime a dozen in Hawaii, but Paradise Poke is worth a review. They have a modest selection of poke styles, but I give them credit for having an original - truffle salmon yuzu poke. It’s delicious! I also tried the eggplant tofu which is the perfect balance of spicy and sweet. They have a few hot menu items and specials each day that I haven’t tried yet. I saw hamachi kama and an ahi special when I went this week. I also like the grab and go onigiri and musubi that are ready to go early in the morning (by 7 am on weekdays). This makes it quick and easy to take on the go versus eating a poke bowl. My favorites were the mentaiko and tuna musubi that go well with a side of poke. Paradise also has a cold case with drinks, local sides, and desserts. I was delighted to see haulolo from Pomai Kulolo and broke da mouth’s pickled cuttlefish (iykyk). Solid poke shop. Clean. Good parking out front and open early on the weekdays!

This was the best poke I have had in my life but keep in mind I live in utah so while we have some options maybe they aren’t the best. I have never had salmon or tuna seasoned this well. The service was great people there were knowledgeable and kind. The food was made quick and there was an ample selection of drinks too. 5 Shaka bra
