Craved some breakfast on my last day in Maui. Found Freshies on Google and drove out that way. It was a hot day, but the courtyard outside seating was nicely shaded by a giant tree. I ended up eating at the bar since I was alone, all the tables were 4 seaters at least and there was a long line. You wait in line to order and prepay and get a number and drink and they bring food out to you. Apparently the daily specials like eggs benedict will run out unless you come first thing in the morning. I ordered the Paniolo (Hawaiian Cowboy) breakfast with Portuguese sausage, with English muffin and greens. The eggs were perfectly cooked over easy. The Portuguese sausage is very similar to polish sausage, but slightly firmer. The English muffin was toasted perfectly to a crisp and pre buttered. They give you a side of strawberry jam. It had real strawberries in it. Some of the greens had become dark and mushy so I picked those off. Food came out quickly and all the wait staff were super nice. Would recommend.

Best coffee in Makawao by a long shot! We ate here several times during our stay and were never disappointed. The service is great! The first time in, we sat at the bar and one of the kitchen staff stopped to chat. He asked which fruits we had tried so far, and when we told him we hadn't tried guava yet, he plucked one out of a fruit basket and split it for us to try. When you arrive, you order at the register and then seat yourself. Seating inside and outside are both relaxed and comfortable. All the food was great.

The food is delicious and very filling and we'll priced between $10-$17. Everything was extremely fresh. The portions are large but you'll probably want to finish it all! I got the green goddess, and idk if I've ever had a dish made out of veggies that filled me up the way it did. The wrap was toasted but the greens were chilled, creating a lovely eating experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice brunch spot!! P.S. the outdoor seating is gorgeous and shaded, and the weather's lovely!

Small family owned spot. The breakfast is by far the best we had in Upcountry. We had the Hawaiian french toast and huevous rancheros, the portions are large, we shared the 2 dishes and had leftovers. So so yummy!

The food was good and service was great. It was incredibly fast and exactly what I was wanting at the time. I had the vegetable omelet with ham and unfortunately they were all out of potatoes so i settled for their beans. 😋 also their fresh squeezed orange juice hit the spot. If you are ever in the area I highly recommend Freshies.

we LOVE freshies!! everything is well priced, the food is truly fresh, every breakfast item done perfectly— and quickly, even on busy mornings. i love the sides— the greens taste fresh n clean, the beans are so flavorful, the breakfast potatoes are buttery and crispy. if you ask for an over medium egg it comes over medium. if you ask for crispy bacon it comes crispy. they truly know how to make a perfect breakfast. we come every time we’re on the island and we dream about it when we’re on the mainland. best breakfast on maui!!!
